The real issue here is how Marta, Damián and Tasio deal with the issue of Eladio, who makes a pest of himself more every day. I hope Damián gets out of this smelling of roses, given he's decided to face Eladio himself. At least, it would seem, he's not going to meet him alone (I assume Tasio is the one behind Damián in the preview?).

That's the impending doom, in my eyes. With the pressure they're all under, I'm surprised Marta is able to function at all. She’s being attacked on every front and the sheer exhaustion is taking its toll. I will say though, being called a lesbian for the very first time, by someone who's blackmailing you? The fear in Marta's eyes as she’s forced to confront one of her greatest fears? Being condemned for loving a woman during a fascist regime and the devastating consequences? Someone hold her real tight (and by someone, I mean Fina). Here’s to also hoping they get use the term lesbian in a positive context as well. Marta & Fina are okay and the scene with Bigotes Reloaded proved yesterday's speculations were taken wildly out of context. Fina is not jealous, but very much worried for her woman because of what happened with Santiago. And right now? Fina trusts no man and, thus, warns Marta to be careful. Bottom line is, Fina isn’t worried about Pelayo because:

1. He’s a man and Marta is a lesbian (I think she’d be jealous if it were a woman, the way she was jealous of Isabel back in the day)

2. Fina utterly trusts her and Marta’s love and commitment to each other

3. Marta couldn't care less about his attempts at courting her (heck, her face in Monday's preview when he suggests they dine together is a poem - her suggestion was for their respective management teams to have a business dinner, not for the two of them to have a tête-à-tête - though I assume she’ll end up attending to further her business plan)

4. Marta’s heart is very much taken, thank you very much. Signed, sealed, delivered to one Serafina Valero Izquierdo. And vice versa.

As for Marta making a couple of comments today, that have some viewers questioning them? I’d say let’s also remember that, thankfully, there's a few men out there who aren't horrible and that, unfortunately, internalized misogyny is alive and well in most of us, pervasive as it is - especially within the context of 1958 (that is, for those who find Marta’s 'not all men' comment in poor taste - personally, I do not, given the context of the show and its examples of men who were, continue to be, or strive to be good people; we need to be capable of critical thinking, perceiving nuance and discerning context - that being said, Marta’s “not all men are like Santiago” and Fina’s “true, but we should always be on our guard”? They both ring true and complement each other. I can’t really tell which snake is venomous so I’ll be wary of all snakes). Furthermore, I perceived Marta's comment on them being able to, hopefully, turn the page as more of a self-reflection and something for the two of them to look forward to. I see it as Marta trying to manifest hope for the future, not just for Fina but for herself as well. Living caged by fear is not living and rings true for them both. Fina experiencing nightmares and Marta going through an ordeal Fina's unaware of. Turning the page and being able to finally move on with their lives is definitely something to strive towards. I see no problem with Marta voicing that, given she’s going through her own personal hell ever since Fina’s incarceration. A hell she currently sees no way out of. I also like that:

Marta has no secrets with Damián anymore and that they're now strategizing together. Marta really is the apple of Damián’s eye and there's no lengths he would't go to for her. If he got protective of Fina simply because Marta loves her? Now that Marta is facing the firing squad herself? Damián is seeing red. And I hope he emerges unscathed. Marta & Fina need him now, more than ever. Like my partner would say How the turns have tabled. We’re finding ourselves rooting for Damián de la Reina and hell hasn’t frozen over.

Marta claiming and assuming all responsibility for her decision but also saying she's not sorry about the beating Santiago received? Perfection. She may hate the consequences but Santiago got what he deserved. Her head is held high, as it should!!!

Marta & Tasio standing up for each other is something I like seeing. I look forward to this changing the dynamic between them, for the better. Let the siblings bond commence. Marta deserves a brother she can count on and Tasio deserves a de la Reina who appreciates him.

Fina still struggling with her trauma? I like the fact they keep addressing it. Would be really nice to see Marta and Fina talking about her nightmares though, with Marta holding her through it all. Some breathing space amid all this insanity would be most welcome and needed.

What I’d like to see in the nearby future? The show also addressing Marta’s own trauma. Can we talk about her absorbing Fina’s pain and internalising her own to the point of breaking? Keeping everything bottled up is bound to wreak havoc within. No one’s really asked Marta how she’s holding up and, in some ways, she seems to have taken Fina’s trauma harder than Fina herself. Which says a lot about how much she loves her woman, how desperate she is to protect her. I’ll be so disappointed in Fina is she judges Marta as well for her decision. Marta has enough torment as it is.

I’m also seeing people claiming Marta and Fina are not the same anymore. Of course they’re not? Events leave their mark. Like they do for all of us. We’re evolving, day after day. The fundamentals are still there, of course. What makes us intrinsically ourselves is immutable. But we’re all a work in progress. We’re constantly acting, reacting and adapting, always learning. We’re growing. At the end of the day? We still love who we love. And on this journey we’re on? We continue learning how to understand each other, how to offer support and how to love each other through the highs and the lows. Simple as that. We’re not stagnant pools of water. We’re rivers. And they say no water can be stepped into twice. Same with Marta and Fina. They’re evolving, learning and adapting, the red thread of their love guiding them through the maze. I’ve no doubt about that.

Additionally, let’s admit it. That fact that neither of them have had to deal with male suitors until recently? While a boon for the fandom, not entirely believable (and trust me, I’d be the happiest if they need not interact with a man ever again). But have you seen those two? Normally, admirers would be trampling one another. Until now? Fina had the excuse of Isidro and Marta that of Jaime / her widowhood. But now that their respective shields have been painfully removed, they’re not safe anymore. Sad as it is, that women can’t simply be left to their own devices, a suitor storyline would have happened, eventually. As far as I’m concerned ? As long as they keep treating Mafin with the care they’ve afforded them and keep the characters true to themselves? I’m very much okay with it. Drama needs to drama. So far, it’s been consistently good.

Special mention to Andrés being the most useless, spineless and incompetent fool. Egotistical to the marrow. Selling his shares to Jesús and betraying the trust Marta had in him (notably after she asked for his much-needed support on the board), betraying Damián as well and selling them all out to Jesús? All without even trying to look for a different solution, as Marta suggested? Truly, no words. Dude only thinks about himself and nothing else. He's tanking Marta & Damián and handing over the reigns of the business to their biggest enemy. Insanity. I do hope Damián rakes him over the coals for this one. I feel sorry for Begoña, truly, but her taste in men is abysmal. They all deserve better than Andrés. Qué soso más insoportable. And so irresponsible too. The bar was low for him to begin with, but worry not. There’s always new lows to conquer.

I also like to remind myself no soup is eaten as hot as one prepares it. And theories have rarely hit their mark when it comes to this show. The fandom has often been wrong about so many things and has come up with the most negative theories. Theories which didn’t come to pass (e.g. Miriam being interested in Marta or Fina, Fina falling for Santiago, Jacinto being gay and marrying Fina, Isabel being either a lesbian or a de la Reina, the Carpena family messing with Mafin due to their religious beliefs etc). None of those have come to pass but have stirred up so much drama at the time.

The show is meant to be enjoyed. When said enjoyment turns to angst and frustration? What’s the point anymore? And I’m not saying the sapphic community shouldn’t be wary? After all, this is the result of having been endlessly queer-baited, misled and exploited in the name of ratings. It’s hard to believe a lesbian narrative will in fact be handled with care and respect. Wariness and mistrust in the writers and producers is to be expected. That being said? Call my gullible but I’ll believe they’re ruining Mafin when I see it. Until then? I’m here to hopefully (and clownishly, if you will), keep enjoying this pairing that fascinates me so.

1) This blog is intended to be PG13 so I don’t have to exclude younger fans from participating. I will not be answering anything that wouldn’t fly in canon, or is adjacent to it. 4) Please no spammy asks. I’m honestly not sure how to answer them, and they clog up both the blog itself and the main tags.

5) No political asks. I understand how terrifying the results of the US election are, but I really need this place to be a break from all that. For my sake and yours. We both need spaces where we can recharge from this. Chilchuck doesn’t know what’s going on anyway, he deserves to live in ignorance from it. I love you.

Blog lore:

This blog takes place loosely post canon. I try to avoid spoilers, but little things here and there are inevitable. Chilchuck has made up with his wife and they’re currently working on their relationship. Chilchuck is also in therapy. This is for a few reasons.

1) I don’t think he’d actually answer any of these if he wasn’t.

2) He doesn’t talk about it a lot, but it was one of his wife’s conditions before giving the relationship another go.

3) He just. Should be in general and I have control of it so it’s happening lol

My Chil is bi, but in the middle-aged “everyone’s had gay thoughts before” kinda way, cause I think it’s funnier that way. He also gets high from time-to-time now that he’s not dungeneering anymore.

Folks kept turning him into different things/animals, so goldstar/⭐️ anon gave him an amulet to put a stop to that. "Marcus" also altered the spell on the amulet to encompass all transformations, since inanimate objects weren't initially included.

Squeaker also used a device to prevent any crab transformations specifically from occurring, as well as ejecting all crabs within a 20 mile radius.

There’s also a cult stalking him for some reason. (This is an ongoing problem. They haven't hurt anyone, and they seem to only be targeting Chilchuck.)

The TVA (Marvel) is loosely involved as well as previously mentioned. Squeak fixed it (or so she thought. There's now a DMCU situation going on.)

Also, Chil’s knowledge of the blog/Tumblr varies depending on what would be funnier, but generally he’s aware of the internet. He only uses his phone to answer your asks, though. He has no idea how to do anything else and has no desire to. This means he doesn’t fact check people or knows anything about the greater internet experience. No one knows how he got the phone, or how it’s holding a charge. Don’t worry about it.

ADDENDUM:

Chilchuck has recently started googling slang, and anything else that might be confusing or annoying to him. However, he hates the search feature and trying to find answers on individual websites, and will take the AI generated answers without question.

I myself don’t talk in the main posts, unless it’s tagged #ooc. Otherwise, I’ll always talk in the tags if I’ve got something to say. Or replies. Or DMs. Main post is the only place I’m in character unless specified otherwise.

I strictly ship with chemistry, which extends to muns also. We must have actively written together and communicated for at least a couple of months, and our muses must have interacted for a couple of threads before I’d even consider it. That said, shipping isn't my primary goal. If I don't vibe, I don't vibe. That's it.

I will no longer write starters for new mutuals due to numerous negative experiences in the past. You’re free to interact via memes, or go ahead and write the first starter if you wish.

I'm slow activity, not often on the dash, and have frequent migraines, hence the queue and my being extremely selective. I organise the queue as fairly as possible considering the number of interactions I have going with multiple muses.

OCs are always welcome here. However, if you specifically want to write your OCs with my canon muses but don’t interact with any of my OCs over on @uselessdevice, threads with your OC will be lowest on my list of priorities. In thinking about tags and tagging hate comments, I've realized that not a lot of people know how/what that means, so here is some advice from your local former-salt poster.

If you mention something by name, it will pop up in tumblr search. For instance, if I just say Adrien Agreste, this can pop up when anyone searches for Adrien Agreste, even if I don't tag him (because tumblr is coded by beavers). The easiest way to circumvent this is by breaking up his name with // so Ad//rien Ag//reste or something similar. Alternatively, you can come up with a nickname for whoever or whatever you're talking about so that people who see your post on your blog will know what you are referring to, but it will 100% keep it out of searches. Continuing to use Adrien as an example because people clown on him a lot, you might refer to him as sunshine boy or the cat boy in your posts instead of referring to him by name. Most of my followers know I've adopted this method for a certain other boy in the show, but that's besides the point 😏

That brings us to tagging. Now this is personal preference for me, but I've found it to be effective. Using the same logic as above, if anything in your tags contains a character or ship name, it's going to pop up in the search. All of my Ladrien Wednesday posts pop up in the Ladrien search because they contain the word Ladrien, even though I don't tag them exclusively as "#ladrien". Even if you tag something as "[character] salt" or "anti [ship]" you've still used the name. And while someone could just blacklist that tag, a lot of the time they have to see the content first before they block the tag. The advice I'm giving here is how to keep your posts out of these searches entirely. Personally, I use the same nickname method as above. So, for instance when I wanted to talk about a character I don't particularly care for, I adopted the tag "#blue one salt" for all posts on that subject matter. And ya know what, my posts never popped up in his tags. People who follow me were still welcome to blacklist that tag if they didnt want to see those posts too.

Now all you non-salty people might be saying, "But, Cat, then we will have a million tags to blacklist" and here's the thing: tumblr is at its heart, a curate your own experience platform. What you see directly correlates to who you are choosing to follow, or where you are choosing to look. No one holds a gun to your head and says follow this person or search this tag. If someone posts content you don't like, unfollow them. But if they have established a consistent tagging system, it's then your job to decide what you do and don't want to see. My blacklist is a mile long, but ya know what? I don't see shit I don't want to anymore. Imagine that. It takes maybe 10 seconds to add something to the blacklist.

If other people are being considerate enough to provide you a means, but you're too lazy to use it, that's on you, friend. If someone consistently posts content that bothers you, unfollow them. "But what if I like their fic/art" no one is telling you that you can't tune back in every now and then to check for the stuff you want to see. If it's fic, they likely post it on another platform that has the option to follow or subscribe to a story. If it's art, a lot of people have a personal art tag, or a tag for a particular AU they're doing, or hell even an instagram. Follow those tags.

At the end of the day, regardless of what people do, it's your job to tailor your experience how you want it. Grow up and make those decisions for yourself. Absolutely do not content police. Ask someone to tag something, sure, but never ever say "I don't like this, you shouldn't have posted it" because you could easily just unfollow them.

Personally, I don't care if people like or dislike certain characters/ships, and I feel like a lot of people in fandom don't. What we care about is when you insert those negative opinions into spaces that are meant to be positive. Someone going through the Adrien Agreste tag is likely looking for cute art or fanfic involving him. What they don't want to see is why you think he is a literal spawn of satan. Or whatever you're posting about. And you can argue that they can blacklist tags and curate their own experience, which is true and they should, but you can also choose to not be an asshole and make it easier for them to do so. Because at best people will just block you, but at worst you may start some discourse and get an angry mob in your inbox. We all have to work together in this regard. Salters should be considerate enough to keep their hate out of primary tags, and non-salty people should utilize the filtering/blacklist system available to them to avoid content they don't wish to see.

Be considerate. That's all anyone is asking. Personally, I have no problem with people expressing their opinions on their own blogs, but you need to do so responsibly. Give people the option to see your posts by using proper tagging and censoring. "But Cat, if I don't use main tags how will anyone ever see my posts?" I hear you, but here's the thing: using the main tags won't always attract the people you want on your posts. If your intention is to send out a mating call for other people that think like you, use the ml salt tag (because people perusing that tag are often looking for salt) or join a discord or some shit. There are plenty of them in this fandom. By posting all of your character/ship hate in main tags, all you're doing is clogging the tag, pissing people off, and making fandom less enjoyable for everyone. Just don't be a dick. That's all anyone wants.

The cat was outside his window when Patton got to his room, letting out a loud mew to be let inside as soon as it spotted him.

“Oh! Well there you are little kitty! I was missing you,” he said softly, opening his window despite his better judgement.

Being allergic to cats was never fun as an animal lover, but it looked like it was going to rain and Patton didn’t wanna let the cat get wet.

It hopped onto his desk, and then over to his bed settled nearby. Patton smiled softly as he closed the window, then took off his backpack and set it on his desk chair, pushing it just enough for the chair to spin slowly.

“I met the strangest person today, kitty. He seemed quiet, but he was nice enough to walk me home,” he started talking, moving towards his dresser so he could pull out a sports bra.

The cat meowed, and Patton looked over his shoulder to give it a small smile.

“I know, I know, I shouldn’t trust strangers. Especially in a town like Salida, but he didn’t seem bad, ya know? Just… troubled.”

As he spoke, Patton pulled off his shirt and looked at his worn, skin-toned binder with a small sigh.

“I’ve worn this too long again today, kitty. I was having so much fun with Roman and Logan at the library I totally forgot I was wearing it.”

Patton huffed a small laugh when the cat meowed in response, then started pulling off his binder. With the tight fabric off, Patton took a deep breath and winced at the way it felt like his ribs were stretching.

He carefully buried his binder under his bras, and then pulled on the sports bra followed by the shirt he’d been wearing all day (not quite ready to put on his pajamas) and sighed a breath of relief.

Turning back to his bed, Patton giggled at seeing the cat facing the wall, like it hadn’t wanted to see him undress.

“You’re so respectful, kitty. I should name you something so I’m not calling you kitty all the time,” he commented, walking towards his bed and sitting nearby the animal, crossing his legs and leaning back against the wall.

There was a weight on his lap, and though Patton knew he should push the kitty off and go take his allergy medicine, he couldn’t bring himself to.

So instead he started stroking his hand over the soft fur, smiling when a gentle purr kicked up.

“Okay, kitty names. What about… Fuzzykins?”

The purring stopped, and Patton looked down at the cat to see it giving him what could only be classified as a glare.

Laughing, Patton kept petting the cat.

“Okay, Fuzzykins is out. I’ll pick something more name like then. Let’s see. Black kitty, different colored eyes, incredibly intelligent… What about Salem? Like the talking cat on Sabrina the Teenage Witch?”

The purring got louder, and Patton grinned, lightly scratching Salem under his chin.

“Salem it is then. Did you know Roman came into school this morning talking silly about Salida being a Young Adult novel plot town?” he asked, sighing softly as Salem made a ‘mrrp’ sound at him.

Gosh he loved cats, he just hoped his allergies didn’t kick him too hard in the butt when they did kick in.

“Yeah. He insists that if anything weird happens it’s gonna kickstart life endangering romance and paranormal happenings. I didn’t tell him about you, I kinda figured he’d tell me to try and get you to stop following me, and I don’t really wanna do that. I like having the company when I walk.”

At this point, Patton had shifted until he was laying on his side. Salem was curled up against his chest, purring because he had yet to stop petting him.

“You’re a really sweet kitty, Salem. I wish my sister would let me actually get a pet. But she insists I wouldn’t be able to take care of one. Which is ridiculous! I was the only one who managed to keep the goldfish we got at the fair when we were little alive for two years! I’d be great at taking care of a pet.”

Patton sighed, feeling his face tingle now that he’d finally dropped the smile he’d been wearing most of the day. Tears pricked his eyes, and he buried his face into Salem’s fur.

He was definitely going to regret that later, but the comfort of having Salem cuddling into him was nice and he couldn’t help but relish in it.

“I know I have my friends, but sometimes I still feel really lonely. That’s… that’s pretty dumb isn’t it?” he asked softly, giggling when Salem bumped his head into Patton’s chin.

“Okay, Okay I’ll stop moping. I should get some homework done though-”

Before Patton could get up, Salem bapped his cheek with his paw, meowing at him in protest and he let out a flurry of uncontrollable giggles.

“Alright, five more minutes of cuddling, but I’ve got history and math homework to work on, okay?”

Salem increased his purring and rubbed his cheek against Patton’s face.

Patton sighed softly, resuming his petting and letting Salem nap against him as he stared at the wall opposite of his bed.

Sometimes Patton felt like something was missing. He’d grown up here, and sure he didn’t have his parents anymore but he barely remembered them anyway, it’s been so long since they passed.

And he had Roman and Logan, and they had plans of exploring the world as soon as they could. Patton was happy for them, though sometimes he wondered if leaving was something he wanted to do. Would they even want Patton to tag along if that were the case? Sure, they’ve been friends for years, but what if that was just because of school?

Salem shifted under his hand, and he lifted it until the cat had settled before resuming his petting, not looking at him the whole time as he got lost in his thoughts.

He probably shouldn’t worry about it as much as he did, but when Patton was home it was… difficult for him to ignore the uncertainty of the future and who he might still have when all was said and done.

His heart grew heavy in his chest, and Patton frowned, wiping at his eyes with the hand that hadn’t been petting Salem.

Maybe his allergies were kicking in?

...No, he usually broke out into a rash. He was just sad right now.

The thought made his brows furrow in confusion, and he looked down at Salem after he lifted himself onto his elbow.

“You’re a cat.”

Salem looked at him, and if Patton had to guess he’d be saying you just noticed? If he could talk.

“No, Salem, you’re a cat. And I’m not itchy yet even though we’ve been cuddling for fifteen minutes. I’m allergic to cats, why aren’t I breaking out into a rash?”

Salem seemed to freeze at that, eyes staring at him wide. Patton stared back, then broke out into a grin.

“Are you hypoallergenic? Oh my gosh, that would be so cool? Pretty eyes, sweet personality, and you’re hypoallergenic? You’re like the most perfect kitty ever.”

Salem relaxed back against him, and Patton leaned down to place a little kiss against the kitty’s forehead.

“I hope you continue being my friend, Salem. I’d be sad if I couldn’t talk to you anymore,” he said softly, feeling his eyes get heavy.

He always got so tired when he got sad. Maybe an hour long nap wouldn’t hurt before he got started on his homework?

choices advent calendar - update!

*due to an unfortunate incident (which i can only blame myself) with my main blog, i don’t have access to my peaceinmidstofchaos blog anymore. so i’ll be continuing this event from this blog, while hoping that tumblr will fix access! i will start the reblogs from here starting december 21. fyi - @choicesmonthlychallenge; @starrystarrytrouble; @angela8754; @aylaramseycarrera; @lovealexhunt; @iemcpbchoices

i had this random idea to do something centered around an advent calendar - for those of you who may not have encountered this, typically it’s a calendar-style chocolate/candy/trivia-type reveal thing you can buy and gift someone. it lets them reveal something for each day of december that is a treat!

with the spirit of that in mind, i offer you - the choices advent calendar! for each day in december, i will go tag diving according to the choices books on the calendar below and reblog 1 fic/writing-related and 1 art/edit/aesthetic-related fan content that has fewer than 20 notes or 5 reblogs, whichever is less. all reblogged content will be fluff / sfw / feel-good / holiday, etc. to help keep our spirits up as we ride out the rest of 2020.

how did you decide which books to feature since there are over 31 books?

i went through the booklist and grouped ones that made sense to put together (e.g., the freshman/the sophomore, and it lives anthology)

i removed holiday specials (since these are usually one-offs for specific series)

i removed 2020 releases and currently running series (e.g., open heart, etc.) since those would have the most recent (and to a certain extent, the most) content generated already and the goal is to promote content that didn’t get as much attention

i removed VIP books since not everyone has VIP or would have read the books and this would avoid spoilers (odds are there isn’t a ton of content either)

and i removed any series that i was aware of having a dedicated event in december (i.e., the elementalists)

how will you decide what content to reblog?

i’m going to go hunting through the tags, sorting by popularity and recency and paying attention to how many reblogs make up the notes. unfortunately, even if you have a ton of “likes,” reblogs are given more credit on tumblr in terms of the popularity of a post so i’m going to do my best to balance those with a ton of notes but few reblogs vs. those that have minimal notes to begin with but it’ll depend on what i find.

will you only limit it to 2 if there is a wide-range of non-written content (e.g, social media edits, fanart, edits, moodboards, etc.)?

i want to be fair to all the books so i’m going to do my best to limit it to 2. however, for books that seem to have less popular content or have multiple books in the series (e.g., HSS / HSSCA has a combined 6 books), i may make an exception.

are you going to be posting or reblogging content not related to the advent calendar?

i will do my best to keep that at a minimum since i want to give the content i find a chance to get noticed but i do have some things already planned and scheduled (e.g., potluck reveal and TE appreciation week).

Hi yeah

If you see my posts with this font all through it, with the tag Finch.txt, that means it is an OOC post. Yeah, my name is Finch, though you can also just call me Cabinet Man

I’m kinda surprised the amount of asks I get. So if this activity stays up I’ll be doing a small event.

Basically for this blog events are bits of story for the NSR au I’m working on. They may had some foreshadowing in other posts. I’ll be doing one on Ocotober 5th.

Every start of the event will have multiples tags besides the .txts so I can get more people to notice it, but that is it. I don’t want anymore asks clogging up the main NSR tags, so.

Also. A few more things that I should put down.

1. If you think autistic people are bad I have a big fuckin surprise for you in the mounds of hcs I have for Neon

2. I don’t ship DJSS and Neon, sorry, I’m really not comfortable with it. DJSS may come around every now and again but otherwise,,nah. You can still ask questions about their relationship but don’t expect a response you’d want. I’m really really sorry.

3. It’s unlikely I’ll be doing asks for other NSR characters right now, maybe in the future while I try to learn a bit more about their personalities and how to fit them into the AU.

Rules!

1. Themes will vary with this blog. Mystery Incorporated is PRETTY dark at times, so it’ll be what you expect there. To that end, dark themes, violence and maybe swearing.

I will try my best to tag everything. These will be under the format of swearing tw. If you’d like me to tag anything specific, don’t hesitate to ask through anon / inbox / im!

I don’t have any triggers but I do ask you tag all of your NSFW (sexual) content.

Mun is of age, and as such I won’t be writing anything of the sexual nature with minors.

2. I’m private, which means I only write with mutuals (this is for my own sanity / comfort; everyone’s cool!). I’ll write with canon, oc, and crossover characters.

Although I’m private, when it comes to following people, I’m selective. We don’t have to have known each other prior to write!

As for following back, I usually take a week tops to do so - but if you’ve hit up my promo, I go through that eventually.

If it’s a crossover, I have to know the fandom and be at least a little bit confident with it. This is so I’m able to work with you, our thread and have muse for it.

I follow the tag #trappingguy. If there’s anything you want me to see, like dash commentary, just tag that and x-kit will alert me of your post! I may respond to ic stuff ic stuff if I’m feeling it.

In that sense, I’m chill with dash shenanigans with most folk, not just mutuals!

Absolutely no godmodding. It ain’t fun, fam. If you’re not sure what this term means, do look it up. This includes powerplaying, metagaming, and other things of that nature. This applies especially in fights if they happen (I’m chance-based and hope that you are too).

I can be picky with OCs. But rest assured, if you’ve followed me/interacted with my promo, I’ll always give your pages a read.

Please don’t be offended if I don’t want to interact with you (and please don’t try to guilt me into doing so!).

I DON’T CARE ABOUT AESTHETICS. I just think they’re pretty. If you don’t use formatting or anything like that, or heck - even wanna’ just do iconless rp - I have no problem with it whatsoever! It’s you, your writing and your muse I care about!

3. Please don’t rush me for starters or responses.

PLEASE understand that I have blogs galore and my muse tends to fluctuate; this can mean I’m everywhere at once and can end up neglecting a blog or two. It’s nothing personal; you know how muses are!

I have a full-time job (and I’m trying to get into screenwriting in my off-time) so sometimes I’m scrapped for time or exhausted. I’m also an introvert who deals with anxiety and depression, thus that may affect how much / how often I roleplay. If I don’t get chance to respond to anything ic or ooc, it’s nothing personal! Promise!

Chances are, I’ve probably has seen that bit of interactivity and just haven’t gotten around to responding yet.

My roleplaying style being para/multi-para, I may take a while to respond. I hoard drafts like a dragon - it’s really just the motivation to write and ship those out.

I hoard asks, but sometimes can’t find muse or interest for all of them. If it’s been a month or two, generally assume I’m not interested / can’t find muse for it. You’re free to send another though!

I answer asks from anyone - personals, rp blogs and anons. I’ll answer non-mutual asks occaisonally but I won’t be making threads out of them

4. Shippings? If they’re of similar age, sure!

If I don’t happen to be interested, don’t force anything on my character.

I do not ship incestuous ships. Do NOT follow/interact if you do.

The ship has to have chemistry; I’m generally shipping trash, but if they don’t click, they don’t click, sorry.

This is a multi-ship blog, meaning there will be more than one ship without them conflicting with eachother.

If you want to ship and I already have a ship of your choosing going with a duplicate, please don’t hesitate to hmu! My ships aren’t exclusive and each character/relationship portrayal is unique to me!

Relationships are eternal until you deem otherwise. If you’re not interested in a ship anymore, just let me know!

5. Whilst I am of age, I’m not aiming for sexual content on this blog (and will not be dealing with fetishes). The occasional joke is fine, but anything beyond that makes me uncomfortable, and I typically don’t recommend pulling it with my character if you’re interacting with me.

6. About reblogs…

I am not a meme source, and reblogs clog up my activity. Please reblog any memes you find on this blog from their SOURCE. The exception to this rule is if there is no source; go ahead.

I don’t feel comfortable with Personals reblogging my IC or OOC posts, so please don’t do that. If I put something in the fandom tags for whatever reason (bar promos), you’re free to, though.

This goes for my art too unless it has the tag ok to rb, but otherwise only the person I drew it for can reblog it. If you wanna’ reblog something, I DO put it on my art blog eventually!

A few times is fine, as it happens, but repeatedly breaking these rules will result in me soft blocking you.

I try to participate in reblog karma as much as I can, but always reblog from the source/a meme source.

If a post or ask is for you, you’re free to reblog it to save it though - but only if you’re an rp blog!

7. I’m a para / multi-para blog, novella if I’m adventurous and have time. Whilst I may roleplay crack threads with shorter responses, this does not apply to all threads I write. This means:

I write my replies as detailed as I can muster, and length can range from 1 paragraph to 6.

Short responses (such as one-liners) in more serious threads where I’ve written a decent deal can instantly kill my muse for that thread.

Whilst I’d prefer for partners to at least somewhat match my length, it’s entirely up to you - just try your best and make sure you give me enough to work with. ♡

If my muse happen to go nuts out of nowhere - like, overboard - don’t stress too much about matching him.

8. Threads! You can yeet asks, memes, and even starters at me if I’ve liked a call! I’ll obviously have my own you can like.

You’re free to like starter calls even if we’re not mutuals; I can check out your blog that way. I still only write starters for mutuals though.

Starter memes are the BEST way to interact me because they just yeet a prompt at my face and really help me write starters. If you see me reblog one, send one!

If you want a certain verse, lemme’ know! Otherwise, I’ll probably default to a post-canon verse.

If you want to turn an ask into a thread, go ahead!

I don’t recommend writing starters for me unless we’ve discussed something. I don’t like to leave anyone hanging.

Please don’t assume things about my muse. If you’re uncertain about things, ASK.

IMs are open to mutuals, if you want to do any in-depth plotting. I also have Discord if that’s more convenient for you!

For the moment, I’m sticking PRIMARILY to Mystery Incorporated canon with some other media sprinkled in. It’s just because Fred has a lot of media to cover and I haven’t binged his stuff yet.

9. Guidelines on mains and relationships:

If we’re mutuals and we interact a lot, you’re welcome to ask me if I’d like to be your main!

Please don’t be offended if I deny, though; I typically want to pick those I trust to be my mains as well as people I can comfortably write with.

Not limited to them! I roleplay with duplicates galore so don’t be afraid to hit me up if you want to interact!

Pre-established relationships are a-okay in my book; if you have an idea for a relationship between our muses we can work towards, hit me up! I reblog those pre-established relationship memes every so often too. Romantic relationships link back to the shipping guidelines.

Also, friendship/family/rivalry relationships are EXTREMELY valid to me - so don’t feel scared about asking for them!

10. If you have any issues, please let me know and hopefully we can resolve it!

I am absolutely terrible with IMs and Discord. I either respond quickly or days later, depends on my mood. Social anxiety tends to interfere with this (and more recently exhaustion from work) - but honestly, if you’ve sent something, I’ve likely read it and just haven’t gotten around to it yet! It’s nothing personal; trust me!

Please leave me out of drama; I’m here to have a good time, as is everyone else, and it pains me to see people arguing.

This is a little different with callouts - if I see anything on dash pertaining to any problematic users, I will take it into consideration and rb it if I believe them to be harmful.

11. To retierate, I tend to follow those that:

Write para and whom I feel my muse would click with.

Seem chill? Tone can really intimidate me honestly.

Have rules and about pages! Knowing the boudaries of my rp partners is super important as well as their lovely muses! Sometimes rules are enough, though, if you’re going to write the about eventually.

Tag their nsfw.

Don’t have massive icons - ie, have rp icons that take up an entire text post like 500x500 or something. I don’t want to clog the dash and it’s tiring to resize them.

…also, if I follow your hub blog (provided it doesn’t double as a personal), it generally means I’m cool with any blogs that are attached to it.

12. On threads…

If you’re not interested in a thread anymore, and would like to drop it, please let me know! I’d feel terrible if we’re both not having fun with it or if partners feel overwhelmed with the amount of threads we have.

Honestly, unless I let you know, our threads have no expiry date - so no need to worry about me dropping them without telling you. I can just be quite slow sometimes.

13. Mun does not equal muse! Anything my muse might say does not reflect on how I think unless I explicitly say so.

14. Know that if I follow you, I WANT to interact with you.

1. Themes might very with this blog. It’ll typically be SFW, but there will likely be dark themes, violence and swearing.

Things will be tagged! I’ll try my best, anyways. If you want something in particular tagged, please let me know through ask / anon / im. The format I use for tagging is, for example, tw: swearing.

I don’t have any triggers but I do ask you tag all of your NSFW content.

That said, I won’t do anything NSFW - gore is okay, though.

I’m of age.

2. I’m private, meaning I only really roleplay with people I follow. This is so things don’t get too overwhelming and for me and to cement who I want to interact with. I generally follow most people if our writing clicks, though.

If I don’t follow you and you’d like me to check out your blog, lurk in my notifs. I’ll definitely see you and make note to check you out. Same with promos, or you can just rb them to a sideblog / send an ask with its url. I can’t gurantee I’ll follow, but I’ll certainly check it out!

If it’s a crossover, I have to know the fandom and be at least a little bit confident with it. This is so I’m able to work with you, our thread and have muse for it. You’re free to ask if I know of a fandom or not! I’ll have a list at some point.

I follow the tag #coolxnxblue. If there’s anything you want me to see, like dash commentary, just tag that and x-kit will alert me of your post! I may respond to ic stuff ic stuff if I’m feeling it.

In that sense, I’m chill with dash shenanigans with most folk, not just mutuals!

I can be picky with OCs. But rest assured, if you’ve followed me/interacted with my promo, I’ll always give your pages a read.

Please don’t be offended if I don’t want to interact with you (and please don’t try to guilt me into doing so!).

As for following back, I usually take a week tops to do so - but if you’ve hit up my promo, I go through that eventually.

3. Please don’t rush me for starters or responses.

Please note the mun deals with anxiety and depression, and has part time jobs which are honestly tiring - this might affect how frequently she roleplays.

Chances are, I’ve probably has seen that bit of interactivity and just haven’t gotten around to responding yet.

My roleplaying style being para/multi-para, I may take a while to respond. I hoard drafts like a dragon - it’s really just the motivation to write and ship those out.

I answer asks from anyone - personals, rp blogs and anons. I’ll answer non-mutual asks occaisonally but I won’t be making threads out of them

4. Shippings? Heck yeah, I ship lots with my blue son! Just make sure they’re of similar age pls.

If I don’t happen to be interested, don’t force anything on my character.

I do not ship incestuous ships. Do NOT follow/interact if you do.

The ship has to have chemistry; I’m generally shipping trash, but if they don’t click, they don’t click, sorry.

This is a multi-ship blog, meaning there will be more than one ship without them conflicting with eachother.

Relationships are eternal until you deem otherwise. If you’re not interested in a ship anymore, just let me know!

Sonic X Tails won’t be happening on this blog, sorry.

5. Whilst I am of age, I’m not aiming for sexual content on this blog (and will not be dealing with fetishes). That stuff makes me uncomfortable, and I typically don’t recommend pulling it with my character if you’re interacting with me. Nonetheless, should it arise, I will tag it appropriately as nsfw //.

I am not a meme source, and reblogs clog up my activity. Please reblog any ask / starter memes you find on this blog from their SOURCE. The exception to this rule is if there is no source; go ahead.
