okay, so i'm sure you've all been at the edges of your seats about my take on ai art, because i'm the most important person with the most interesting opinions, so here it is:

apart from the scummy data collecting that's currently happening with all the generators, what's really bothering me is where it all leads. in an art market where the labor of the artists is being replaced by the much cheaper ai, the ai will still need to gather more data to improve and diversify its results. where is that coming from? the few remaining artists who are still making exclusive commisions to those who can afford it are surely going to lock their art as much as possible. are we going to hire artists just to make art to feed the ai then? are artists going to sell their art as data to the ai as a best case scenario?

that's bleak.
