You dont have to answer if you dont want. But i stumbled upon an old post about Mu Qing up holding classism and that its Hua Cheng should be the face for it and i just felt conflicted? I tried to be open minded. And the big example they used is him kicking out of the army which imo kinda odd… to say.. But its combined with the fact Mu Qing called Hua Cheng a liar and he obviously didnt want Hua Cheng tagging along and he let Feng Xin with a broken arm carrying Hua Cheng . tbh, im fine with open intrepretation of that.

We all know Mu Qing doesnt have soft personality and hes prickly. I definitely do think in that liar scene, i saw it more as Mu Qing just being truthful than empathatic as he analyze the situation which i guess fine, MQ theres obviously time and place for that as hes scared and dirty. But even if his family condition was bad, based on how someone fixed up his clothes he could have thought he might at least have another person who does care which was why he even mentioned it in the first place. Anything is possible after all. Although, i did get confused whether did he know the info background on him because XL did overhear the mean things the kids yell at him about him being kicked our. Anyways, it wasnt as he was like no this kid cant stay. Unless theres a line that i missed. And he did try to carry Hong Er but hong er wouldnt let him which he did show hesitation to do it or not afterwards.

And how i view the army situation is even though it is indeed that youth dying rate is higher in war and Hua Cheng did die lol. But its also mixed with Mu Qing’s need to not want to be replaced. This man’s mind never rest lol. Which i get it. Hes very interesting for that. After all, his core character is all about being a survivor. But to say that he upholds classism is fucking deranged. Like Guoshi is right there for ruining his mortal life lol. And Hua Cheng beats classism by creating another system of his own? ive seen people say its different in ghost City as its really based on mutual beneficial agreement and all especially with Yin Yu. I think I know what post you're talking about, and I agree with you. The argument that Hua Cheng is the one who "fought" classism and that Mu Qing is upholding in it doesn't stand, in my opinion. First of all, because Hua Cheng's supposed victory over classism doesn't even take place in the world of the living, and Ghost City is everything but an egalitarian place. Which isn't his fault, of course, because a single person cannot change the world. Then, again, his plot in the novel doesn't mainly revolve around classism the same way Mu Qing's does. I'd say that his plot is more about marginalisation and abuse, even if social class was obviously a fundamental part of his condition.

Regarding Mu Qing, literally, unless he somehow became a revolutionary leader, what could he even do? He had one chance to get away from misery and he took it. Gods are not allowed to interfere with the mortal world more than what concerns their duties toward their worshippers. The heavens are a classist world, because they reflect the human world, since all gods used to be human, but I see no instance where Mu Qing even remotely upheld classism. A good part of his lines are specifically to complain about how others are classist, so it really doesn't make any sense. I think that the issue of Hong'er being kicked out of the army has an ambiguity, and the desire to keep a child (who by the way didn't have the age to be in the army) far from war, and his fear of being replaced and possible jealousy, coexist. Human emotions aren't a mono-dimensional thing.

I don't really have an opinion about the revised version, but having read the first version years ago, I'm more attached to it.

i watched some movies in the last days, so why not write about them

so, i watched "Bean's Holiday", "Green Hornet", "Tomorrowland" and "Yes Man", so i guess ill be talking about them in this order

first one is definitely a comical movie, and i didn't remember it was so funny! the gag at the market, him taking a bycicle for who knows how many km when his bus would have started soon, him and the kid forgetting the food on the bus, bean that forgets multiple times his things, the slapping becoming an inside joke. but the funniest sequence to me is the one in the cinema, with the movie "narrating" somehow what's happening to Bean in a comical way. epic movie. also, sabine is T h i c c in that dress, great view

now, Green Hornet is another pretty comical movie, but it's incentrated on the hero type of movie. it made me remember of "the greatest superhero" or whatever it was called, basically a parody of Tobey Maguire's Spiderman but using a Dragonfly. i actually lost a few of the first minutes so ill have to look them up on youtube, but no problem. since the beginning Britt Reid is a spoiled brat, so i figured that sooner or later Kato would've had an argument with him. because that's what would've happened if i was there, only much sooner. anyway, pretty funny movie, though they should've resolved the argument better, at least i think

now, Tomorrowland, a disney movie that should celebrate a young person's intelligence or creativity, with some obvious product placements throughought the whole movie. aren't they ashamed? they should be. i don't care of seeing star wars toys or bottles of coca cola or anything else you put. even if you do put a message that the world is dying in a movie that will reach a wide audience, you're not better than other corporations, you still suck. ooh look at how disney is progressive now to us teenagers, it tells us that destroying government objects is a sign of creativity because you're rebelling to an unjust system, but i can bet that if someone were to destroy disneys objects or buildings to show rebellion, it suddenly wouldn't be good. now, leaving that aside, the movie does have cool messages in it, so it's not totally useless. i think it should be watched.

lastly, Yes Man. i lost again the furst few minutes so ill look them up, but it was nevertheless a great movie! a grown man who's lived is whole life without doing anything even a bit outside his comfort zone, upon particilating a lecture makes a pact thaf he has to say yes to any occasion. and he does. he accepts every loan since he works as a banker or sort of, he takes lessons to fly, play the guitar and speak korean, he accepts any occasion to go somewhere out, and as such gets to meet an adventurous girl who he gets infatuated of. now, im not going to write about the whole movie, but basically the message of the movie is that you should live doing anything you can. what if one day you need to be able to speak indonesian? or you have to fly an helicopter? you don't know, so better to prepare. but that's not the only message. basically, you should be prepared to any occasion, but most of all you have to live making sure that you won't regret your life, just because you were scared of going out sometimes or having an adventure. i think ill remember this movie my whole life.

Home insurance wants to raise dwelling coverege?

I purchased a townhome in March of 2013 for $183k in Florida. It is in a 200-unit subdivision that just completed all construction and sold out all last remaining units a few months ago. When I signed up for home insurance, the insurance company set my dwelling coverage to $183k. I told them that it isn't accurate for them to base dwelling coverage on market price because the replacement cost must be lower since market price includes land and profits the builder makes. Long story short, they convinced me to stay at $183 because they said costs were rising and so forth. I decided not to fight it. Fast forward to this year, and now they are proposing to increase the dwelling coverage to $203k (11% increase). Funny thing is that for my exact townhome model, about 20 units were sold in the last year with prices averaging in the upper $180s (slightly above what I paid). I called the insurance company to let them have a piece of my mind, and they told me they use an independent 3rd party company to price the replacement costs. I told them it's BS because it's way above average market price and replacement costs is always below market price. They asked me to send them documents from when I purchased the home that details the construction materials used and upgrades so that they can reevaluate the dwelling coverage. My question is, why is the burden of proof on me to prove to the insurance company that dwelling coverage should be lowered? Why can't they just reduce it to what I tell them to reduce it to? After all, I am the customer who pays for the insurance. If my house is ever destroyed and I underinsured, that's my problem not theirs. I just find it strange that I'm paying for an insurance service and the insurance company decides what the replacement cost is, not me. Even though it doesn't affect them.""

Ok so here's the scene, I'm backing out of my driveway from my garage. My friend parked his car at the end of driveway (he was leaving but parked there to answer a phone call). I was hit by a woman in a parking lot. In Texas where I live, certain parking lots are no fault zones if they are private property. I was in one of these no fault zones. I was uninsured at the time. She had Uninsured Motorist Protection as part of her insurance policy. I suffered no damages to my vehicle or person. She suffered $1500 worth of vehicular damage. Her insurance company paid for her damages. I was backing out of a parking space and she came flying around the corner and messed up the entire passenger door of her car on my rear bumper. Like I said I received no damage to my vehicle since I was the one barely moving. She called the police immediately after this minor accident took place. I was not cited on the ticket I received for any accident, only for no insurance. The officer informed me verbally that the accident was my fault only because she had the right of way but that there was nothing they could do about it because of the no fault zone policy. Anyway, now her insurance company is coming after me to collect payment of the $1500 they paid for her damages. I have not agreed to pay this amount because it was a no fault zone and I don't feel I should pay for it. She should not have been going that fast in a busy parking lot with a car full of kids. Although the unofficial technicality states that I was at fault, legally no one was at fault. Her insurance company is also threatening to have my license suspended if I do not pay the amount specified. I did not think that they, as a private company, had the power to have that happen. I've never been in this situation before and need an answer as to whether or not the insurance company can do that or if its just some kind of scare tactic to jolt me into paying but really has no merit behind it. I went on to a price comparison site to check car insurance. For the car I wanted the price was great 320 for 1 year inc breakdown cover. (Insurance group 14).     I was in my apartment with aunt Barb and the water front of toronto was not developed. We were looking out and there were only two highrises close to shore. The right on had thick black smoke coming from it. The rest of the ground looked like we were scaled down on a concrete cicuit board.

   Aunt Barb and i go to check it out. As we get closer we realise the buuling isnt smoke but rather a steam a shipp behind it. Its an old war ship thats starting up for the first time in a while. It had a rust black metal hull thaf was extrenly long and narrow, probably and 8 to 1 ratio. Atop its deck sit 3 huge feild canons, a brick, a water wheel the cuts through the front deck as a means of propulsion and a brick and cinderblock tower.

    The tower is roughly 12 feet in diameter and has no entrance or windows, from our angle we cab even see the top, we actually cant see any enctrane to the lower levels or a crew for that matter.

   “They need the weight atop the deck right? I think i heard someone say its called a keel” said Aunt Barb.

   Holding my hands above my head i explain how thats untrue. “The keel is a large weighted edge below the vessel that keeps it moving straight and upright.”

    Pointing to the ship she says “then i wonder what thats for”     Its starts to pull out of the harbour leaving a rusty trail behind.

   “Me too”

   We are now with Carolyn and Elliott on a small barge leaving the harbour. The lake is muskoka, and the harbour was the East Bay

   “That cloud looks like Kim Jong Un giving four other cloud people a highfive.”

   “I heard that they made a giant statue of him and had red glass eyes and could shoot missiles out of its saluting finger tips. As it pulled out the harbor it was so heavy that the boat flipped righy when it lulled out of the harbour. Now somewhere jn this lake it a statue of Kim doing a head stand”

    Everyone busts into laughter.

    We keep driving but i grow more and more restless.

    "Theres this new app that can let yoh fly around and dive under water, you should try it out. The controls are wasd and the forward and back arrow keys.“

   I borrow carolyns copy of the app and start to fly. I try and high five all the funny clouds but i am really bad and i keep hitting the wrong keys. Its at this point this entire dream so far had been from the perspective of my digital projection. I am sitting in a chair at my table in the cabin. My physical body is controlling and avatar out on the lake. I had been doing it so long that there was no awarness of not being in two places at once with two seperate copies of my nerve endings.

    I continue to fly, I now understand the controls and i am going reall high up. The arrow keys increase and decrease speed while wasd control direction. I dive down reall fast and speed along just above the surface of the water. I am scared but excited. I disengaged the thrust and allow interia to skip my body across the surface of the lake. I shoot upnout of the water again and spot a loon. I can dive under the water with great speed and hope to witness the loon catch a fish. It dives and i follow, i enter the water with such force that a plum of air extends behind me. The crack of the water rush to fill the space and spooks the loon from its meal.

   Its at this point i realise im dreaming.

   I fly to towards grandpa’s island. The neighbouring bay is now a swamp with herons roosting it the old rotted hemlocks. I stop for a while just to look at the complex system below. I spot Carolyn and Elliot between the Kettles Blueberry Island and Del Morson. They anchored the barge and are standing on a sand pillar. The water is just above thier waist line.

     I realise they dont know Im flying above so i dive down into the water to say hello. I dive to close and barely miss the sand pillar. There are these cute red fish in the water. They are made of three layers of rubber, two red scale layers sandwiching a white organ layer. I cup one in my hands and swim to the surface to show everyone.

    I break the surface and the fish swims from my hands and hovers in the water centered to the top of the sand pillar.

   “I cant beleive we never found this before!”

   “The water used to be so dark that we probably drove right over top without realizing”

   “ the sand feels so nice on the feet, how is it staying up right?”

   “There is a giant magnetic rod in it core that only atracts this yellow sand, thats how it keeps its shape.”

    Uncle B sails up to us accompanied by the saturday sailors. They are going to make thier way through the kettles up to the north bay for a race. He tells us to go in for lunch at the Morison’s. I disengaged my digital projection and canoe over to Del Morison

   “How did you never find this before!!!?”

   “ we never used to swim that far off the point because boat traffic used to be so bad.”

   We go inside to share what we’ve seen and the grandfathrr of the morisons projects holograms of the old island. It used to be way larger, but with the higher water levels the shoreline receeded.

    "Ever since they out in the dams in bala, we have been forved to stop farming.“

    ” the submerged levels of the island used to be littered with small turfs houses and a cattle farm. The division between the two islands was a a narrow 20 foot channel and the shoal of the bay used to be an island itself.

    Jesse and samantha are now in the cottage with us and jesse notices from the old projections the main cottage is still the exact same, it just has new finishes. Off the island towards the Horans, you can see the large rectangular stone foundation wall, and the small rooms marked out by rocks and debris.

    Old man Morison is now leaning against the window sil and looks quite faint. He says not to worry the chilis he ate are just giving him a hard time. He starts to sing this really weird song. It was just noises.

   “Kaba keebi keebi keebi keebi koba kaba keebi koba keebi keebi”

   I was lossing my mind in the dream. I woke up laughing, and kept singing the song from the old man. I didnt record it and i dont know how it goes any more.
