something i like to imagine sometimes is that alan's creations are... him, in a way. tiny little shards of a full person that broke off in creation, giving them life. breathing life into them.

and despite that, they still have individuality. they're their own people, their personalities starting out were just akin to small little facets in alan's mind.

but the little pieces taken from him were so small, that there was no change. Like dipping an empty glass into an ocean. The amount taken isn't enough to really damage the ocean.

this kind of ties into my headcanon of humans being outer eldritch gods compared to sticks, so different and vast compared to them. so distant and far that in a lot of cases, humans don't even realize that sticks are people too. alan's just a special case cause he realized. anyways thank you for listening :3

Jason's decided that he wants to dye his hair.

Not blonde, or brunette, or any color of the rainbow, but just plain black.

He doesn't want to wake up in the morning, brush his teeth and look in the mirror to see a white streak. Because he can ignore the fact that his eyes look green sometimes, he can pretend it's just a trick of the light. And while he hadn't exactly been built like a brick wall before he got resurrected by the green-gogurt-pond-from-hell being a vigilante lent itself to gaining muscle, he can convince himself he just had a growth spurt.

The hair, even though it was comparatively small, was the biggest thing that reminded him of how he'd changed. Box dye didn't work on it, and the pure white growing from his roots reminded him that he was a different person than the Robin that had died in Ethiopia.

His last resort was going to see a professional hairstylist, the plan was to claim it was vitiligo.

Except, when he walked into the salon the man standing in the room happened to have blue-tinted-with-lazarus-green eyes and a prominent white streak in his hair resembling the one Jason saw in the mirror every morning.

He isn't sure exactly why Danny Fenton was setting off so many alarm bells for him, but he sure as hell willl find out.

there's something so incredibly sweet about how many times davrin notes in his journal that talking to rook helped him with something. he keeps bringing them out to touch grass and gaze at nugs out in the woods with him which I think must be very good for them, and their company clearly helps him work through and get more clarity on things he's been stuck on emotionally. it's just kind of lovely and a great little nuance in that relationship.
