the multiverse is collapsing due to the disconnect between the creators and the creations, so basically all the meta-aware characters (ink, error, killer, etc.) cannot hear the voices of the creators or feel their presence anymore. the state of the multiverse is literally a big allegory for an abandoned work. so, my idea right now is to have ink represent the urge to continue creating, going back again and again to the wip to try to finish it. and error represent the urge to delete it all, to scorch the work off the face of the earth. their ideals are just what the creator(s) is thinking all the time, basically.

i don't personally read her as unhinged but i think the idea RULES. what do you do if your identity is defined on being loved but the love you get isn't enough! what do you do if your body is breaking into pieces! autumn made a fantastic unhinged émilie post for the unhinged émilie lovers just recently hehe

as for evil émilie, FUCK YEAH GIRL. émilie is characterized by three things for me, those being a desire for romance, a desire to look perfect, and a desire to be free. she's after ideas more than people. a happy family, a beautiful image, a pretty ending. and that means she is full of potential to do evil things. pulling the wool over adrien's eyes most of all. enforcing silence on her family, burying things. a different flavor of evil, but one that's much more compelling to me >:33

Feeling the rough stubble on their usually smooth face. Hating the strange sensation at first, but soon realizing it's the only way to tell how long they've been imprisoned.

Begging Whumper to let them shave. Whumper agrees, but Whumper is the one who holds the razor. They leave bloodied wounds across Whumpee's chin and neck.

Alternatively: Whumpee has always carefully tended to their facial hair, it's a point of pride for them. Whumper restrains them and shaves them down to bare skin.

Whumper mocking Whumpee's unkempt appearance. Whumpee crying as soon as they're alone, because those features have always been some of their greatest insecurities.

Caretaker can't even recognize Whumpee at first, because their beard and shaggy hair have transformed their entire appearance.
