The first comment of my new chapter for His Following and it instantly made my day. That's the reaction I had hoped for the ending of that chapter. 😆
Tumblr media
This is funnier when you don't know the context (of course, I do because I wrote it). Like, right now at least one of you is probably like "well... what happened?"

jjk men and drinks [headcanon]
word count: 646 words
characters: Itadori Yuji, Fushiguro Megumi, Inumaki Toge, Okkotsu Yuta, Gojo Satoru, Geto Suguru, Nanami Kento
warnings: mentions of alcohol
a/n: Was initially going to take another direction with this and make it a little more scenario based, but ended up making it more horescope-ish. I also can't mentally unlink how I know the younger characters now (as students) so their's will stay SFW/platonic. I'll work on one for a couple of the main women soon (and will likely not split future headcanons into gendered posts)!! I'll also add to this with characters not mentioned if anyone requests that (always interested to hear what other peoples ideas are)!
Itadori Yuji - Water
Pure, simple, adaptable, and balancing. Never trust a person who doesn't drink water. The vitality it holds and gives is completely unmatched. It transforms quickly depending on the situation. It dilutes and disarms. Maybe some drinks can provide more electrolytes, but they'll never taste as clean as water. If anything, when you’re parched, there’s a slight sweetness that your brain senses when you drink it. There’s also a duality with water: its ability to kill is well known. You could be submerged and overtaken by it, or you could be on land, poisoned by the wrong kind of water or consuming too much of it. Despite this, there’s a want and need to protect the existence of its purity. Water is incredibly reactive, so simple may be a misnomer, but can it truly control what it does? There's a trust in water and its power that people can depend on and heal with.
Fushiguro Megumi - Black French Pressed Coffee
A predictable mixture of bitterness, warmth and pressure that makes something dynamic. This is a sturdy drink. Of course, there are people who swear up and down that they can’t cook, can’t handle the caffeine, or simply aren’t that interested in coffee, but the charm of a French press is its forgiving, simplistic utility. The mechanism elevates the standard of making a simple cup of coffee and allows the process of brewing to be more personal to whoever is interacting with it without the need of extremities, strict measurements, or specifics. Like many, coffee-related things, the exterior can be seen as a bit intimidating to the unfamiliar. But really, it is as stripped of mystique as coffee making could be. Fushiguro is no-frills, built out of bitterness and heat, but pressed down into a smoother, delectable taste than what makes him.
Inumaki Toge - Ramune
Intimidating for those who don't know, well-loved by those who do. Codd-neck bottles are one of those delightfully specific things that confuse folks who’ve never known a soda bottle to look like that. A marble, fizz, and an unoffending, sweet taste. In the similar way that someone needs to know how to open this (not difficult, just a lil effort) to enjoy it, Inumaki’s sweet and playful nature is resting right beneath and ready to slip past the mechanism keeping it safe. Just press a little.
Okkotsu Yuta - Cold Brew
Something that only consists of two ingredients but requires time to make and a hand that knows when and how to pull it from its steep. It takes hours (relatively long in drink making time) to make this properly, but with patience and the proper environment, this can cultivate itself. There’s an inherent co-dependency since it is so simple... So much bitterness is needed to make this but it needs just as many gallons of cool water to tone it down and let it steep into the perfect, refreshing and powerful drink that it is. The bitter coffee can be used for other things, sure, but its grain size is unique to how the water embraces it. It’s too loose for hot water to run through like in espresso and drip. The grain can only allow for still, cool water. The grain gives the still water bite and power and without the chance to sit restfully have their time, the power of the coffee is completely lost. Of course, too much time and the brew can become too astringent. That’s where the helpful hand returns to pull this mix out of itself and into the world anew.
Gojo Satoru - Coca Cola
Addicting with a toothsome aftertaste and slightly polarized reputation. Are you ever shocked by the taste of something you’ve tasted several times before? I don't really drink sodas all that often, but I am always taken aback by the distinct combination of sweetness and acidity in coke. The first sip of candied carbonation pinches and twists at the nerves surrounding my jaw to wake up and open wider. There's also an unspoken grit that coke has... the way it glides across your teeth and tongue... it feels as though it strips your mouth of any prior taste to make room for itself. The tartness of the aftertaste just makes you want more. All of this conveniently makes me forget how wired I'll be from enjoying it hours after the moment has passed. In a lot of ways, it's the perfect drink that knows it's perfect even if you don't crave it.
Geto Suguru - Midori Sour
Alluring with a delicate balance of showiness and subtlety. In comparison to Gojo, flashy is not a characteristic that could immediately be attributed to Geto. But the beauty and infamy of this neon green drink doesn’t just lie within outer appeal (though it hooks plenty). It's found within the dance between the usual cocktail elements (lime, lemon, vodka) and a softer, more peculiar element that gives it its distinction (melon liqueur). Melon is so interesting as a flavor because it can be so varied (sugary, tart, bland, sour, bitter) but it will always have a cleansing body to carry these individual variations. It's the juxtaposition between this subtle, watery base and this vibrant, falsified (surprise surprise, its food dye) color that give midori sours their cheekiness. There's plenty of discourse circulating around how alcohol effects the body and how damaging or beneficial drinking can be but very little trumps how easy this is to drink.
Nanami Kento - A Shot of Whisky in a Rock Glass
Classic... iykyk. Like most liquor, it's an acquired taste. Funny enough, alcohol is something that appeals to more people when it's dressed up a bit. The additions of a mixer, a foam, a garnish, ice, all aim to compliment (at best) or mask (at worst) the characteristics of this dangerous element. But for the well-made, thoughtfully distilled liquor, these additions read as extras. Again, alcohol and its perception is not universal, but there is a straightforwardness when a drink can be naked and present you with the facts of its taste without the assistance of a soft-landing. Whisky also has this reputation of being a classy yet cowboy-ish drink. It has very strong potential to be dressed up or dressed down and still maintain its truth. And the taste... impactful, stinging (if you're not aware of the harshness), warming.

firsts with itadori yuji
Tumblr media
I hope you don’t mind I’m kind of running with this idea and adding more than you asked lol I just...i don’t know it butters my biscuit. Also gender neutral reader~
First meeting:
It’s at his old school
You’re in his class, but you never talk to each other! Itadori is shy with you, believe it or not! He wants to say something but whenever he thinks about going up to you, whether you’re alone or with a group, his stomach twists in knots
Luckily though, you’re also in a club that ends right when he goes to the hospital to see his grandpa, so he’ll walk a little slower to see you coming out of your club room talking and laughing with your friends and he’ll imagine what it must be like to be in a club with you
Will not ask you to join his club tho, shy shy shy he is
It’s only when it’s raining and, yes you guessed it correctly folks, you don’t have an umbrella!
Itadori Yuji has a few options here lads, what do we think he’ll pick?
Option one: be a cool guy and slide right up to you with his umbrella already open in his hands and tell you that he’ll walk you home
Option two: ask politely if you’d like to walk under his umbrella together to your house and maybe stop at a convenience store along the way for a candy?
Option three: be a cool guy(again) and just put the umbrella in your hands and tell you to use it and he walks out into the rain with only his hood on, enticing you to run out to him and say that you two can share an umbrella!
What option do you think he’s chosen?
Now was Yujis chance. You were alone, standing just inside the school entryway rocking back and forth on your heels, a little pout on your lips at seeing the downpour. It had only just started raining, it was clear weather all week, so this rain is more than just a little unexpected.
Gripping his umbrella tightly in his hands, Yuji walks up to you, intent on asking if you want to share his. He’d be more than happy to walk you home, his grandpa would be happy to hear that he walked his crush home instead of ‘wasting his time’ coming to the hospital.
“H-hey!” Yuji’s voice goes higher than he intended when he drops his umbrella and kicks it forward as he walks, launching it at your feet and making you jump a little and turn around. His face erupts in a fiery blush when you pick it up and look at him quizzically.
“Here you go.” You say, holding it out for him to take. Yuji shakes his head almost violently, much to your confusion. “Uhm, Itadori, what are you trying to say?”
You know his name. Oh fuck, you know his name and here he is making a fool of himself.
“I-I- no, take my umbrella.” His brain is in critical overdrive. He truly might pass out. “Take my umbrella! I have my hood, and I’m not going very far! Just to the hospital, to see my grandpa! They’ll probably have an umbrella there I can borrow if it’s still raining!” He really, honestly, truly didn’t mean to say all that, but the words came out like vomit.
“Oh, that’s nice, thank you so much!” Your smile warms his heart but does nothing to calm him down. “But I’m-”
“(Y/N)!” One of your friends shouts from down the hall, and they quickly round the corner with their own umbrella in their hands.
“Hey!”
“I got my umbrella from the classroom, let's go home now!” Your friend quickly notices Yuji. “Hi Itadori, what’s up?”
“He offered me his umbrella. Thanks again, Itadori!” Grabbing his hand, you put the umbrella back in his possession.
“Uh- yeah! You- welcome! Welcome!” Yuji stutters out, waving dumbly back at you as you wave at him and leave the school with a cute little smile on your cheeks.
Yuji was never going to wash his hand again.
First hangout:
This one happens as a going away party for himself after he’s accepted into his new school
He wants to say goodbye to his clubmates, and somehow word got out and a few classmates are coming as well - even you!
Everyone got him a little cake and you’ve all signed a going away card, and Yuji hones in on your message, a cute swirly one written in a glitter gel pen with a heart by his name
Afterschool in the classroom, you all decide to play games and stuff, and that’s when he gets to be close to you
“(Y/N), Itadori, you’re up next!” Somehow a tournament style game has started of who can hold their breath the longest. Standing face to face at the front of the room, you give him a big thumbs up.
“You’re probably going to win, Itadori, I’m bad at this kind of thing.” You laugh.
“Let’s see.” Is all he can say as a reply. You’d talked a bit more after your first meeting, but he could never get more than a few words out at a time.
“Go!” Sucking in deep breaths, you stare at each other with puffed out cheeks. You’re already struggling, fighting back laughter and clapping a hand over your mouth. Yuji thinks he might lose just from seeing how cute you are in front of him.
“Ahhh!” You lose, just like you said you would. Dizzy from lack of air, you stumble forward into him, laughing and gripping the front of his jacket. “Told you!” His hand lands on your shoulder and Yuji is sure he could pass away happy right now.
“Yeah, you are pretty bad.” Yuji laughs, finally breaking his nervous shell around you the more you laugh and pat him on the arm.
After this game, you form a team and play with a ball, help each other with cards, and you even paint his nails in a pretty polish you’d brought from home. At the end, Yuji is still too nervous to ask for your number, so this is the last time you see each other.
First confession:
It’s been two years since then, he’s a third year now and Yuji still thinks about you. He still checks in with his old school friends from time to time and asks about you, and he follows you on Instagram and sees the things you post and how much you’ve changed over the years
He’s not content living this way, only seeing and hearing about you like this, but it’s been two years since you last saw each other and you weren’t exactly close before you left, so he couldn’t just slide into your DM’s
And in the past two years he’s changed. A lot. Not only has he been swamped with his new life, he also has a whole nother soul inside of him that quickly learned of his long lost crush and teased him about it nonstop
But on a free day in the city with Nobara, he’s quite literally buzzing - you’re in the same area. He saw you post last night about going to a certain cafe and all he had to do was ask Nobara if she wanted to go to the city and she said yes immediately.
And now he’s standing in front of said cafe, and he can see you inside. Surprisingly you’re alone, and his fingers itch to go in and ‘casually’ bump into you
Nobara knows of his crush on you as well, and as soon as she spots you she’s pushing Yuji through the door, and of course they cause a fucking scene
“Get in the fucking cafe!” Nobara is shouting not so quietly. There’s people walking past them, looking confused, and Yuji could literally die right now, especially when he makes eye contact with you.
He gives up then, letting himself get pushed into the cafe. He expects Nobara to follow after him but she’s running down the street cackling evilly. Yuji has no other option than to go in and order a drink, albeit shamefully.
“H-hi. Is this seat taken?” He asks you. You’d been watching him ever since you saw him with a big smile barely concealed by your hand.
“Of course not, Itadori.” You giggle.
God, he’s missed you.
Sitting down across from you, Yuji takes a quick sip of his drink to soothe his suddenly parched throat. Sukuna knows better than to pop out in public, but that still doesn’t stop Yuji from putting a hand over one of the marks below his eyes, just in case.
“How have you been (Y/N)?” He tries to say casually, but his voice warbles and Sukuna chuckles quietly for only him to hear.
“I’ve been good! It’s been so long, Itadori, I’ve missed you!” You pout, a wicked sight for his heart, and you reach across the table to pat Yuji on the arm. “I’ve been wanting to message you on Instagram for forever now but I’ve been too nervous you wouldn’t really remember me!”
“You have?” Yuji gasped dramatically, and he could hear not only you but Sukuna laughing at him.
“Yeah! I’m actually really surprised to see you here, I thought you went to a school out in another prefecture.”
“N-no! I’m still in Tokyo!”
“Really, we should totally hang out sometime!”
“Yes!” This couldn’t be going any better for Yuji. There’s a pause in conversation where you both take a sip of your drinks.
“So, was that your girlfriend pushing you into the cafe?”
“What?!” Yuji nearly shouts, almost spitting out his drink. “G-girlfriend?!” His cheeks blush lightly, and he shakes his head. “No. No way, she is not my girlfriend. She’s my classmate.”
“That’s good to hear, actually.” Now is your turn to be embarrassed, and a bashful smile spreads on your cheeks. “Because I’ve always kind of liked you.”
What.
“What?!” This time Yuji does shout, Sukuna is definitely laughing at him and teasing him, and you’re nodding in confirmation. “Oh my god.” Running a hand through his hair, Yuji doesn’t even have to think about his next words. “I like you too! A lot!”
“Really?” Your brow raises.
“Yes! Ever since first year. I’ve had a-” was he really about to say this? “A massive crush on you.” He realizes what he’s said is a little heavier than what you said. A massive crush is much different than kind of liking someone, but he can’t help it. And Sukuna is quick to point out the difference in his head as well.
“Then we really have to hang out!” Yuji laughs, relieved you feel the same way.
“It’s a date.” He says and delights in the way you share a cheeky smile.
“Definitely a date.”
First date:
Yuji never thought he’d ever have the opportunity to go on a date with you, at least not in this lifetime
You exchange numbers at the cafe and as soon as Yuji gets back to the dorms he’s texting you, asking if you got home okay and to let him know when you’re free
That first text is a gateway drug because now he can’t stop texting you all the time, even when he’s in class or should be training
He’s staying up far too late to message you but no one can stop him
When your schedules finally align again, you both settle on going to a ramen shop close by his old school
6pm. That’s the time you agreed to meet up. So why was Yuji already down the block from the restaurant at 5:15?
“God you’re so desperate!” Sukuna laughed as Yuji sat in an empty park waiting for time to go by.
“I know, I know.” He groaned back, tilting his head back and squeezing his eyes together. “I was so nervous about being late I didn’t even think!”
“Ya know, when I had my own body, I used to go on dates all the time! Women flocked to me, I was a god!”
“Yeah, yeah.” Slapping a hand over the mouth that had appeared, Yuji rolled his eyes. “I’m not like you, we know this.”
“I was hoping I’d be rubbing off on you, kid, but it seems not.” Sukuna sighed in disappointment. When 6pm finally came, Yuji all but ran to the restaurant. He was still ten minutes early, and when you came strolling up the nervous jitters he had increased.
“Hi!” You looked so cute, Yuji could pass out.
“H-hey.” He waved stupidly, and then stumbled to open the door for you. Quickly grabbing a table, he was paying more attention to you than the menu.
“What’re you gonna get? I can’t decide!” You whined, slapping your menu against the table.
“Oh uhm, maybe this one?” Pointing at the first thing he saw that looked mildly interesting, he watched you nod your head and hum. “Or maybe this.” Looking at the menu properly, Yuji pointed at something he’d actually get.
“Ooooh, I wanna get that too! If you get it, will you let me try some?” Your face lit up and you bit your lip, eyes darting between things on the menu.
“Of course!” Yuji nodded without any hesitation.
“Yay! I just can’t decide, everything looks so good!”
“It does!” As he laughed and kept looking at things on the menu with you, Yuji finally let himself relax a little bit. You made great conversation, asking about his new and how he’d been, how he got those scars under his eyes and what his new school was like.
Yuji had never had so much fun talking with someone before, and when the date came to a close, he could nearly cry. He wanted to be with you all the time, see you more often and build more memories together. The thought of going back to his old school even came back.
“I’ll walk you to the station.” He said instead, pushing away all the thoughts in his head.
“Thanks.” You were side by side walking down the block, and Yuji was beginning to find it more and more coincidental that your hand kept bumping into his. He could feel you looking at him from the corner of your eye, and he knew he had to make the leap.
Slipping his hand into yours, he wound your fingers together and squeezed. Both of your palms were kind of sweaty and neither of you looked at each other, but you squeezed his hand back and held it tightly until you got to the station and your train arrived.
First kiss:
After the first date, Yuji is hooked
Any chance the two of you have to be together, he takes even if it means shirking his responsibilities a little bit(Fushiguro is upset but who can stop love?)
You go get ice cream together, go to the arcade, the movies, the park, you even meet Nobara and Fushiguro on a chance day
You do all these things together, but Yuji still hasn’t kissed you!
He wants to, so so bad, but he just can’t, he’d die of embarrazzment if he fucked up and like hit you in the head or something
But sometimes, as nike said, you just gotta do it
It’s raining again, just like when you first spoke to each other. A torrential downpour, but this time you didn’t have a friend coming with their umbrella to the front of the school to share with you. Yuji was coming to your school after your club to pick you up for an impromptu date.
“Hey!” You shouted, braving the rain and meeting him halfway when you spotted him coming up. Hugging him tightly, you shivered from the wind whipping through the air.
“Hi.” Slipping your bag from around your shoulders, Yuji slung it over his shoulder. His arm settled on your waist, holding you close and making sure you were completely covered. Walking so close together like this made him happy, and he almost pressed a kiss to your head.
“Yuji.” You said as you were walking, stopping by a low river lined with trees.
“Hm?” He still couldn’t get over the fact that you were now saying his first name. The both of you stopped walking and you stepped back a little from him, wringing your hands nervously.
“We’ve been going out for a while now and…” Biting your lip nervously, you couldn’t meet his eyes and looked out at the trees being pelted with water. “And I was wondering if you uh- if you wanted to be my boyfriend?”
Oh shit. Yuji was so shocked, he nearly dropped the umbrella.
“B-boyfriend?” He squeaked, his cheeks spreading in a bashful smile. “I’d love to.”
“Really?” Letting out a relieved sigh, you clasped a hand over your heart. “That’s good! I was so nervous.” The way you were looking at him, Yuji knew this was the perfect time to kiss you.
“C-can I kiss you?” His question made your eyes widen, and silently you nodded your head.
Sliding his foot forward on the wet pavement, Yuji faltered a few inches from your mouth, suddenly nervous. He had never kissed anyone before, and what if he was horrible at it and you hated it?
He didn’t have any time to keep thinking about it though, because you closed the gap and kissed him. Dropping his umbrella in shock, Yuji’s eyes widened and he kissed you back, grabbing your shoulder to steady himself.
It was a sweet and innocent first kiss, soft and gentle for the inexperience shared between you. It didn’t even last that long, but it was the most memorable moment of Yuji's life.
“How was that?” He asked when he pulled away. The two of you were getting absolutely soaked with the rain and it dripped down his face into his eyes and mouth.
“Great.” You giggled shyly, putting a hand on your face to hide yourself. Yuji laughed as well and gave your cheek a kiss before picking up the fallen umbrella.
“You wanna go to that ramen shop?” Yuji whispered close to your ear, adjusting your bag on his shoulder.
“Sure.” Turning to him, your eyes dropped to his lips and you gave him a quick peck, breaking out into a fit of giggles again. Beginning to walk down the street, if anyone saw the two of you, they would immediately know what young love looked liked, as it was perfectly plastered on both of your faces.

Wrestle Grand Slam in Tokyo Dome - 7/25/2021: Ibushi Out, Tanahashi In Main Event World Heavyweight Title Match
Tumblr media
After being delayed two months, Wrestle Grand Slam in Tokyo Dome took place earlier today. You can see it now on NJPWWorld, or pay $30 to see it on FITE TV. This is the first Tokyo Dome event NJPW has run outside of the annual January 4th show, now known as Wrestle Kingdom, since Toukon Souzou New Chapter on 10/8/2005, where one of the worst matches in NJPW history main evented.
Originally due to take place on 5/29/2021, and with a completely different main event, it was postponed due to the state of emergency enacted at the time in Tokyo and elsewhere. This one took place under a state of emergency as well, but at this point, it was now or never. This did affect the attendance of the show, listed as 5,389 persons, probably the lowest drawing Dome show in recent times (maybe ever? Hard saying, considering there are also quite a lot of worked numbers in those Dome attendances through the years, both from Antonio Inoki, previous owners Yuke’s, as well as Bushiroad) but with restrictions in place for attendances, and the mystery surrounding whether the event would take place or not, there was not much that could be done there.
Kota Ibushi was announced prior to the event that he would not be making it, due to his aspiration pneumonia. Hiroshi Tanahashi, in his 11th Tokyo Dome main event, would take his place in the main event IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match v. Shingo Takagi, after making himself available at yesterday’s Summer Struggle in Nagoya. There are a lot of parallels to be drawn between this show and All Japan Pro Wrestling’s recent Champion Night 2021 megacard. Both had to be postponed due to a state of emergency, and both had their main event changed due to illness of one of the participants - Ibushi we just discussed above, whereas then-Triple Crown champion Suwama had to miss and vacate the title due to testing positive for COVID-19. Illnesses will occur, especially in a pandemic.
Results:
Wrestle Grand Slam in Tokyo Dome - 7/25/2021, Tokyo Dome (NJPWWorld / FITE)
KOPW2021 New Japan Ranbo With Handcuffs: Chase Owens [Bullet Club] d. Toru Yano [CHAOS] (c), Togi Makabe, Tomoaki Honma, Minoru Suzuki [SZKG], Yoshinobu Kanemaru [SZKG], YOH [CHAOS], SHO [CHAOS], Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima, BUSHI [Los Ingobernables], Tiger Mask IV, Master Wato, DOUKI [SZKG], Tomohiro Ishii [CHAOS], Dick Togo [Bullet Club], Hirooki Goto [CHAOS], Yuji Nagata, Great O-Khan [United Empire], KENTA [Bullet Club], YOSHI-HASHI [CHAOS], Yujiro Takahashi [Bullet Club] - Owens is the Provisional KOPW2021 Champion
IWGP Juniorheavyweight Tag Team Championship: Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo [Bullet Club] © d. Ryusuke Taguchi & Rocky Romero [CHAOS] (Phantasmo > Taguchi, CRII, 20:56) - Ishimori/ELP succeed their 1st defense
IWGP Juniorheavyweight Championship: Robbie Eagles [CHAOS] d. El Desperado [SZKG] © (Ron Miller Special, 19:56) - Despy fails his 3rd defense - Eagles is the 90th champion
Kazuchika Okada [CHAOS] d. Jeff Cobb [United Empire] (Pinfall, 19:23)
IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship: Taichi & Zack Sabre Jr. [SZKG] d. Tetsuya Naito & SANADA [Los Ingobernables] © (Sabre > Naito, European Clutch, 37:58) - Naito/SANADA fail their 1st defense - Dangerous Tekkers are the 91st champions
IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Shingo Takagi [Los Ingobernables] © d. Hiroshi Tanahashi (Last Of The Dragon, 37:26) - Shingo succeeds his 1st defense
Shingo gets his v1 defense in, and declares he will hold onto the title until Ibushi is ready to challenge for it again. With that, the lights go out, and EVIL attacks Shingo, demanding a shot at the belt. The Internet by and large was not amused, and honestly, I’m not sure what will make anyone happy at this point. The adage was right -- when you are hot, you can do no wrong, when you are in a down cycle (which NJPW is in, let’s not make any bones about it), you can do nothing right. The same folk who say the main event scene is stale have been given three brand new champions in 2021 and have complained every step of the way. Including me in places! Shingo v. EVIL is a new match, and there is a history there that never really got addressed! Just yesterday I was saying how EVIL needed the win over Ishii to build credibility back up, tho I said for G1 Climax; maybe THIS is the story, that he IS NOT ready to challenge but thinks he is?! I just don’t understand fans anymore. The complaints are always about stale things are, and then when something different IS actually offered it’s always “No not THAT way!” Maybe I just need to divorce myself from Twitter for a while.
Complaints are also coming in for the IWGP Heavyweight tag title change. Naito & SANADA want a rematch, but then Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI step in and plead their case for a shot as well. Hey, multiple teams vying for the belts, what a time to be alive. I can understand complaints about Robbie Eagles beating El Desperado for the title more than any other ones, especially since Hiromu Takahashi was on hand at the start of the show proper to challenge today’s winner. Hiromu v. Despy is a money match, tho one that’s been done a lot, even tho the champion v. challenger spots would be switched. Eagles v. Hiromu is a relatively new match, I will grant, but I am also not as high on Robbie Eagles as a lot of others are.
Chase Owens becomes the first person to hold the KOPW trophy besides Toru Yano since the trophy’s inception last summer. The match was ridiculous. It’s a Ranbo, and a KOPW match, it’s supposed to be ridiculous. Wrestling is ridiculous! It’s OK!
Essentially, the complaints here, the complaints online about last night’s GCW show with Nick Gage v. Matt Cardona... I just don’t know anymore.
What I do know is there is a show Tuesday from Korakuen Hall, starting a string of NINE shows in a row from Korakuen Hall, and no lineups for those are announced yet. They will probably announce them when I’m in bed. In the meantime I’m going to watch the GLEAT show from today and catch up on GCW from last night. And stay off Twitter. UGH.

A hippies guide to survive an LSD overdose.
What is LSD?
Have you ever taken LSD? If so what has been your dosage? For the benefit of our non LSD taking friends, let us try and give a small introduction to LSD and its doses.   This is what Wiki says “Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), also known as acid, is a psychedelic drug known for its psychological effects. This may include altered awareness of the surroundings, perceptions, and feelings as well as sensations and images that seem real though they are not.[11] It is used mainly as a recreational drug and for spiritual reasons. LSD is typically either swallowed or held under the tongue.”
This hallucinogenic drug comes in mainly the form of a colorless liquid or small stamp size papers dipped in this liquid. Pound for pound, LSD is amongst one of the most potent chemicals known to mankind. Its life changing properties are well documented. The experience of talking LSD is very difficult to explain. It’s like trying to explain what you see, when one looks inside a microscope. Unless you see/experience it for yourself it is hard to fathom such a world. Similarly a psychedelic experience is hard to put it in words. Generally the dose is one drop. Just one tiny drop! And 20 minutes later one starts to feel its affects.
A Deadly Music Festival!
Now to the crime scene. The year is 2012 and I’m in the middle of nowhere in far north Queensland, Australia. I have made my way up here with my mates to witness a total solar eclipse. There is a 7 day music festival being  organized to celebrate this astronomical event. We were a crew of around 15-20 who had made our way up from Melbourne. There had been a major buzz amongst the doofing community in Melbourne regarding thins solar eclipse festival. Our whole crew had been planning for months for this festival. This was a 7 day long festival located 3000 kms away from Melbourne! This needed more than 5 months of meticulous planing. My mate  Jane (name changed)  took the lead in booking festival tickets and other logistics. Transporting drugs for all of us was also a big issue, but thanks to my good mate Dave (name changed)  he had some boys drive 10 days from Melbourne across the whole length of Australia to get us our drugs. Other than this we all had our own personal stash which we had to deal with.
As the festival date got closer , the excitement levels were off the roof. Especially  for my friend David, Dave in short. Along with his girlfriend Jane, were probably the most excited amongst folks amongst us.
Tumblr media
Dave had stocked up considerably , with around 50 pills of Ecstasy , 5 gms of MDMA , 15 gm of Ketamine  and a bottle of LSD (around 100 drops).( How I know these exact amounts? I’ll tell you later in the blog). I also had some small amounts for personal consumption that I took with me on the flight from Melbourne (Tell you about that another day).
Fast forward to the festival. The location is a good 2 hour drive from any civilization. The festival is huge with 7 dance floors and around 20,000 people camping up over a few kilometers. Our whole crew found an amazing camping spot with shade and not too far from the main dance floors. The 1sttwo days were amazing with music, friends, dancing and a lot of drugs. Everyone in that festival was loaded with drugs. This the kind of stuff we dream of!  Dave was killing it. He was the go to man with his plethora of drugs at his disposal. The LSD he had was not the strongest, but still quite good. But the killer was the ketamine which he got from India. That shit was sooo potent. Just a tiny bump of it up your nose and the world transform this large dancing trampoline! With a concoction of various other drugs and amazing music, the 1st 2days just flew past.
Tumblr media
Day 3 – Today is the big day. The day before the total solar eclipse .All the big acts of zenon records were playing.  The music lined up for the sunset stage was off the hook.  I remember everyone was very high that morning. There were a few of us who hadn’t slept the previous night. Dave was one of them, and needed more drugs to sustain himself. By lunch time most of us were all pretty exhausted and were resting before the main music starts around 3 pm. It was just me Jane and Dave when the music started on the sunset stage. Dave was already a wreck by then. He had snorted a shit of Ketamine by then. I was not doing too bad as well and was sufficiently high on LSD and some MDMA. I remember the afternoon like it happened yesterday! What did I know that the next few minutes will change my life! As me and Jane were rolling a cigarette, we saw Dave drinking something out of a bottle. And then it just hit us!
OMG HE’s DRANKING THE WHOLE BOTTLLE OF LSD!!!!! Just like that, before we could do anything, the empty bottle of LSD was on the ground. Dave turned around and looked us straight in the eye and said with a loud grunt “Holy shit… what I have done!”
It took us a few minutes to realize what happened.  I walked straight up to Dave and asked him what he had done? If he really drank that whole bottle? When he replied “Yes”, that was the most sober I had seen Dev for all the 3 days we had been in the festival. As it dawned on the 3 of us that we need to do something and fast, a bit of panic set in. Some of the other dancers recommended that we give Dave a large dose of Zanex (sleeping pill) and he would be fine. But I knew that no zanex is going to help him now. He had around 90 hits of LSD inside him.  Can you even imagine what it will be like? All my high had come down so had Janes. We decided that I will take Dave to the medic tent while Jane goes and gets our other mates.  Thanks to some quick thinking from Jane and myself had made the right decision.  Dave was pitch sober by now and can’t believe what he has just done .As  Dave  and myself scamper towards the medic tent I remember him telling me that he will never be the same person again!!
Tumblr media
We find the medic tent in a corner of the market area. Inside the medic tent we have two volunteers who look like they have just walked out of a Viking movie. The heavily bearded man and his assistant seem to be busy taking care of a few Japanese girls suffering a sun stroke.  As we enter the tent the bearded Viking volunteer as me “How can I help?” To which I replied “Sir. My friend here has drunk a whole bottle of LSD, around 90 hits”. There was pin drop silence for a few seconds. The volunteers couldn’t believe what they had heard. Quickly he told me that the paramedic team was waiting outside and that we should consult them directly. We step out of the tent and find the paramedics next to their ambulance.
I greeted the officers and tell them what had happened. To my surprise, the officer’s dint knows much about LSD or its effects.  I made a suggestion to the medicos that maybe sedating Dave will be a good and safe option. That suggestion was not accepted as the medics dint want the sedatives to react with the drugs DAV had already taken. We were advised to sit down in the medic tent and wait it out.  I couldn’t believe the medic had just told us to wait it out! Does he even know what he’s talking about? There are 90 drops of LSD in my mate’s body and it is going to explode! But then we had no other choice and made our way back to the tent. I sat on a stool while Dave sat next to me on the ground.
It had been around 20 minutes by then since Dave had taken the hit. The ere silence inside the tent was very unnerving. All of us in the tent knew that all this LSD is going to hit Dave anytime. Dave new it too and it was making him restless. He kept telling me that he had a good life, with work, girlfriend etc.  He kept repeating…“ What have I done”!!!  In that stressful situation Dave showed great awareness to empty his drug stash and gave it all to me. I quickly put the big stash in the pocket of my camel pack.  I tried to reassure Dave that we were at the right place if something were to go wrong. To hang in there and to be brave. Then there was total silence for a few minutes. I knew the moment had come. Dave was breathing much more heavily now.
He shouted “Oakley shades Zenon records…. I understand now” as he stood up.  The look in his eyes scared me. I tried to tell him to calm himself, but he pushed me to the side and ran out of the medic tent.  By the time I picked myself up to follow him, he was gone. A difficult situation had become dangerous and life threatening. I walked up to the paramedics who were having a chat with some festival security personals. I simply told them that I had done my duty by bringing Dave to the medic tent and due to their irresponsible behavior Dave had escaped into the festival. Dave was a true danger to himself and other in this state. The Security personals straightaway understood the seriousness of this situation and started to send message on their walkie talkies.
Tumblr media
As I step out into the market area to search for Dave I bump into Jane and my other crew members. I briefed them about the events inside the medic tent and the fact that Dave was out in the festival somewhere high as fuck! We decided to split up to find him. Luckily we bumped into our Japanese friend “Yuji”. He ran up to us and said “Dave is very high and doing crazy stuff on top of the viewing hill”. A few hundred meters from where we were was a hill, the best vantage point to see the eclipse.
We spot Dave the moment we reach the top of the hill. He was rolling around in the red Australian dirt. Eyes rolled up and frothing from his mouth. His face was pale, almost blue. Making high pith groaning noises he was punching the ground and throwing himself everywhere. We were 6-7 guys who tried to hold him down. But he was throwing us around like an animal. The best word to describe him is probably “manimal”.
Tumblr media
Within minutes the paramedics had come with the ambulance. They told us to stand away from Dave who was still convulsing like a man possessed. Along with a few security men they try to administer some sort of relaxant via oxygen pipe. That dint work. Then I could see one of the medics on the phone to some doctor at from Cairns (3 hrs away) for help.  It seem as though the doc told them to knock Dave out with intravenous Ketamine. Next thing you know the medic reaches into her bag and administers Dave with a full dose of intravenous Ketamine. They wait for it to show its affects, but to no avail. By this time Dave is free falling through his own consciousness. He muttering names of kids he went to kinder garden with. The medics administer 2 more doses of ketamine to calm him down. You could see the look on their faces on how serious this whole thing was.
Meanwhile one of the security guards taps me on the shoulder and says that some officers wanted to talk to me. I turn around to see two cops. Then I get introduced to them as Dave’s friend. My heart started pumping, as I had all Dave stash of drugs in my camel pack. If the cops ask me to show them my camel pack, I’m going straight to jail! And for a long time!
I guess it was my lucky day. The cops asked me a few questions. They seemed genuinely worried about Dave. They asked me about how he did this to himself and what drug etc. to which I gave them honest answers.  I was also a little surprised when they patted me on my back for having taken care of my mate. By this time the paramedics have successfully managed to knock Dave out as he’s gets strapped on the stretcher. The paramedics ask one of us to go with them as they shift him into the ambulance. It was a strange moment.  Jane had helped us plan for this festival for all these months, and now she had to leave it mid way. I spoke to her for a few minutes as she cried. I told her that going with Dave on the ambulance was the right thing to do.
Tumblr media
There is a dust storm approaching us as Jane gets into that ambulance to leave. The surrounding light and atmosphere were surreal. We could see thousands of people dancing in the sunset stage below us as the ambulance left us. The approaching thunderstorms were making multiple rainbows against the setting sun.  It is one of the truly beautiful sights I have seen in my life. The LSD in my system made this sight almost unbelievable with trails and layers. I felt as thou the nature was telling me that Dave was going to be fine. The multiple rainbows were the best thing that happened to me that day.  Later I was told that Dave had to be air lifted to cairns as he was not breathing properly.
Tumblr media
Dave made it through that night without much problem. He woke up nearly 19 hours later and was properly conscious and aware of what had happened. But this even had changed me. It put life and parties in perspective for me. Thanks to some good decision making between me, Jane and the paramedics were able to avoid a potentially life threatening situation. It was a great example how fun can go wrong.
Dave made a full physical recovery, but same can’t be said regarding his mental aspect. He has shown a downward trend after this incident.   Something happened to him that night. His brain got rewired somehow. After almost 10 years after that incident, he finds himself in and out of rehab for Heroine and alcohol. This event changed me too, but I believe for the good. This was my queue to get the fuck out there and make a life! Which I did and got back to India and cleaned up my act.
I hope my experience shed some light on how to deal with an LSD overdose. If you or your friend fined yourself in this situation, then see help.  Tell your friends what you have done and Get to a hospital a sap. Don’t try and find a fix for this yourself, because you can’t. These chemicals are so powerful that are way beyond a mortal human beings capabilities. One drop is the dosage. Don’t play with LSD, It is not a joke. If you do, then it will teach you and your friends a good lesson in life.  Don’t take this god given sanity for granted, it can vanish in a split second.
Do you think I did the right thing? Would you have done it differently? I would like to hear from you so please leave a comment. Looking forward to interacting with you fellow hippies out there. Until next time…Drop Acid, not bombs!

I feel like things are gonna... spiral out of control next chapter, am I right?
Ha ha! Yeah, no, forgive me for that one, folks. I deserve tomatoes for that one.
But, I quickly got interested in seeing the spiral case at the end because uh... that's not the first time something was spiral shaped in this story.
Remember the Uzumaki Kenjaku executed in Shibuya? It was spiral shaped! Of course, for those who aren't aware, this is paying homage to Junji Ito's Uzumaki. (Also the school's symbol kind of looks something like a spiral.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, like many, spirals can represent many ideas. Such as the cycle of life and growth. The journey in which one will face changes in their life. A path to enlightment. Relevant to the story as the characters, especially Yuji, do go through changes and grow.
However, given that Akutami-sensei makes a reference to Uzumaki, I thought what if the meaning to the Spirals in that story can be applied to JJK, too? Sometimes, more than one meaning of something can be applied to a story.
So going back and refreshing my mind on the story, the Spirals in Uzumaki represent the twisted reality of which the characters face. Opposite of the hopeful feeling that spirals usually will give off. The Spirals represent the moral code in which is abandoned throughout the story.
Which happens in JJK, doesn't it?
Moral code is often abandoned by the characters of JJK. They face curses and curse users and in order to beat them and be rid of them for good, the choice to take is go as low as they do. You have to do things that may feel wrong.
The other meaning is also present here. Twisted reality.
From having fake memories to practically bending the real world to your will to create funny scenarios (Takaba), twisting reality happens. Actions by someone affects everyone, no matter how far down the line and create a twisted reality of what could have been. (Think of what if Toji didn't shoot Riko.)
In another post, I made a guess that Yuji's Domain may be one where the target's memories are shown. Thinking about it, I realized that in 265, Yuji actually warped reality. He may have shown Sukuna (possibly) real memories, but in doing so his Domain is him shaping the real world to do it.
Twisting reality!
The next chapter may start off with a flashback as to where they found the last finger that was later consumed by Rika. It's a stretch, but I'm imagining a scenario of Yuji showing Sukuna this last finger that may lead into Yuji confronting Sukuna once more on how he views the world. I don't know how. (I did a Cursed Finger Count.)
EDIT HERE: Okay, that's not Sukuna's Finger... IT'S YUJI'S! (Check out this post!) But I'm still going to say this...
Tying into the multiple meanings of a spiral, including from Uzumaki, what if Yuji will be twisting reality to enlighten Sukuna for a possible last time?
Also, looking back at Yuji's eyes in this post ,I realized while they may look like rings... so do spirals. Spirals from a top view are just never-ending rings.

I am seeing a lot of people in the jjk fandom idolize sukuna and empathize with him and say that his backstory is more compelling and interesting than geto's and that geto's radicalization journey was not interesting and relatable.
And while I understand that sometimes it can be hard to understand a character that wants to commit genocide I feel like that take is so shallow?
Part of me thinks its just a product of the ship wars but also its deeply fascinating that they would put geto's crimes and sukuna's crimes next to each other and say sukuna is better out of the two of them.
I feel like it has been a deliberate choice by gege to give a drawn out backstory only to geto while not giving Heian era flashback to sukuna as many wanted because the story wants you do understand geto (not agree but understand) while sukuna is presented as a villain even though there are crumbs of his backstory in there but not as nuanced and detailed like geto's.
I don't know I'm rambling but I feel very sad when I see people dismiss geto and his radicalization journey and in the same breath say that sukuna is more relatable.
But fandom is gonna fandom of course.
Before I say anything, I am a fan of both mentioned characters. Sukuna is actually one of my top favorites (of course, after Yuji). So with that said, I don't care for anyone to act an ass and be like "fake fan" or "how dare you bash---". No, no, no. Chill out.
You said something that I feel like some people tend to not do when it comes to villains in stories.
"Understand", that part right there.
Sometimes, I do think the writer can have the intention of readers to sympathize and/or empathize with the villain. However, it depends on the kind of villain. But, at best, when writers give backstories to these villains, it's to understand why the villain do what they do and how they became that villain.
You can understand a villain and still not sympathize or empathize with their actions.
In the case of Geto and Sukuna, I do find it odd that some will say Sukuna is more relatable than Geto. Especially, as you pointed out, Sukuna doesn't have as much backstory present in the canon story as Geto has. We'll get back to that.
Now, do I think people can't relate to Sukuna? No. I think if you relate to him, you can and I'm not stopping you. However, that doesn't mean Geto can't be relatable, too.
In story, both are presented as villains.
We don't know much about why Sukuna turned out the way he did, but we do for Geto.
I know that the arc is also called "Gojo's Past Arc", but it is also Geto's, too. It shows why he changed, too.
It boils down to the fact he was a teenager that was just as much as a victim like his friends were to a fucked up system ran by a conservative group of traditional folks who would rather exploit the people under them than get their hands dirty.
Geto, as many jujutsu sorcerers, witnessed deaths of people he came to care about and if it wasn't death, stress caught up to everyone and him as well as a growing distance played a part.
Now, while usually a teenager isn't going to resort to killing a bunch of people, teenagers (anyone really) have been put in positions that will make them feel helpless. That was Geto.
Bringing back the backstory thing...
What backstory? (Not directed to you, Anon.) As much as people were up in arms about "we didn't get the Heian Era backstory", it's just doesn't make sense to then turn around and Sukuna's backstory is more interesting than Geto's.
I ask again... what backstory?
I said it before, but none of these characters actually had a full backstory. Not just Sukuna.
No one had a backstory that showed everything. In fact, some bits and pieces are found out through fanbooks and interviews.
That may be on purpose. I know it felt like Gege may not have touched on a lot with the characters, but for some parts of the story, what if that is the point? Maybe we're not meant to focus on the past but on the present and future. (Reflecting how some characters are working to make the future better and being more adaptive to the present unlike other characters who are more traditional and stuck in the old ways.)
Yes, some parts of the past are meant to be known but that's meant to understand the present. That doesn't mean everything must be known.
With Sukuna, I feel like some did miss the mark with him. I'm not saying I'm right, but my guess is we're supposed to feel detached from him. We're meant to understand him, but not idolize him.
We don't know much about him because we're supposed to not see him as someone redeemable, someone not humane. Just as Sukuna portrays himself to be. Sukuna does nothing in the story worth going "Ah, he's just a hurt guy 🥺". Sukuna admits that everything he does is out of his own pleasure and selfish gains. He is aware of emotions, he knows what love is. He just chooses to not allow himself to feel those emotions. He doesn't allow himself that humanity.
Rereading the story, you can see how dismissive he can be even about himself. When he talks about eating his twin? He says it like it was just another day for him. When he tells Hajime about being an unwanted child? Again, he's dismissive. He states it with even a small smile on his face.
He has the title "King of Curses", but what are curses born from? Negative human emotions. Taking a guess here, but what if that title is meant to be fitting (other than visually) for Sukuna being metaphorically that how he sees himself? A curse born from the nasty nature of being human and he happens to be the strongest one of all?
For both characters, I do find them interesting in their own right. And I agree with you, I do think some of the fandom have their views on their characters because of shipping. I don't think shipping is the whole reason, but part.
(I think I know the ships, but I could be wrong. Both involve a certain white haired guy? I have no problem with either ship though.)
When it comes to Sukuna and Geto, I feel like some can mischaracterize both and stick to that fanon version of them just to make their ship more interesting.
With Sukuna, some tend to write him as only being attached to a certain person because "he gets him, he knows how to challenge me, I'm in love, he taught me love". When, just me probably, it's not that Sukuna doesn't understand love. I don't think he wants it, no matter the form of it. (Let's remember there are different kinds of love, folks.)
With Geto, it's like he can't stand as his own character because everything he does was only for one person and/or he's a lot worse than what he is.
When you compare who's worse and than say "it's Geto", that's wild. They both may came from a place of hurt, but let's not act like Sukuna is a Saint. He has done more heinous shit just for even the hell of it. Geto isn't the only villain here.
I know people will say "he's a genocidal maniac" but so is Sukuna??? Hello??
Let's be real, Geto's biggest kill counts definitely came from the village and maybe the Night Parade event and I say maybe because by then sorcerers may have already gotten civilians out and some people died at the hands of his followers.
But I doubt he actually was killing endlessly for ten years. I think he killed, but not as many as some of the fandom says. If he was that big of a problem, then why was he able to do whatever for TEN YEARS?! There is no excuse! They knew where he was at. If regular people knew, I know for a fact, the Higher-Ups knew. They could send a group or whatever? No, because Geto was collecting curses and as we see, he doesn't have to kill people to collect curses. He killed those that was no use to him, money wise. And maybe the occasional jackass.
I apologize, I rambled there.
Point is! Both characters are in the wrong for their actions. Both characters can be interesting, however you choose to feel. Find Geto boring, but Sukuna interesting? Alright. The vice versa? That's fine, too.
But regardless of backstory, or lack thereof, to idolize Sukuna and not Geto is rather absurd because "Sukuna is better". No, no. No. He's just as bad. He is evil. He literally had beef with his own nephew and sought to kill him. People in the Heian Era worshipped him out of fear. He wasn't some hero. Saying this as a Sukuna fan.
Both characters may be different, overall, but why excuse one character for the sake of "I think he's cooler"? That does nothing for the story at all! In fact, that's quite an injustice. Don't get the story, that's fine and all, I'm still understanding some things myself. I'm not an analyst expert on JJK at all.
I get having preferences, do you, folks. But let's not mix up fanon with canon and argue with people because of preferences. Do you truly like that character if you only seem to like a fanon version? Do you really hate a character if you try to worsen how they really are in the canon?
Sorry, this got longer than I intended! As you can see, I ramble!
