siempre lo he escuchado llamar "Latin(e)" para gente de américa latina y "Hispanic" si hablan español. pero mi familia es del caribe así que deberíamos ser atípicos juntos. el lusofono suena mucho mejor que "Iberoaméricano"

I actually don't know what lusophone is ;-; i have family from são josé dos campos, but we rarely really get to meet or talk to them because we live like, half a globe apart hddgihf

Ooh it's portuguese speaker! But saying "descendente de falantes de português" is a mouthful 🫠

#im so rusty at grammar im tag muttering in english #i dont use latinx because my instinct in spanish is to pronounce it la tinks #it doesnt switch well which is surprising because it was made by latine people #but i like to introduce a gender neutral -e because it also doesnt force anyone to assume gender since even one guy switches words to masc #and lots of spanish speakers will tell you thats already gender neutral but language that assumes the man is default for mankind doesnt #seem very gender neutral to me #sorry to pop on your tags and post i just get this question a lot #as one of the only Hispanics in my friend group i amswer this a lot and wanted yo test if i could say it in spanish too #im not the anon if its not obvious #just having a stroke learning who is Portuguese by staring at my phone screen until i realize its not the language i know #you too catalans
