#no wifi no smart features no touchscreen#I want the dumbest thermostat available#analog if possible#I want it to be on speaking terms with the furnace and be completely isolated from everything else in my house#literally the old (ancient) thermostat had a little toggle on the side and that was it#you'd slide it up to set the temp#it was broken so I couldn't even tell the current temp of the house#just had to guess or consult the Galileo thermometer#and I was content#(my mother complained but she didn't live there)#and other stories from hiatus#mine
