Can you elaborate on those venomous ghoul hcs? Please I beg of you
Absolutely!! Ok, so where to begin x333
First, I can imagine that its more common for water ghouls to be venomous compared to earth ghouls, and the type of venom varies from elements and subspecies.
First up, Mist. In my Mist Ghoulette design, she’s based off of sea hares and the Blue Sea Dragon. Her venom acts similar to the sea dragon’s. The venom’s potency also depends on her diet so after spending so much time with the Ministry, her venom has lost its dangerous edge.
Mist’s venom is mostly painful, but can paralyze the immediate area of the sting.
Now for my favorite boi. Dewdrop. When he was a water ghoul, he looked kinda like a lion fish with big colorful fins along his spine. Those dorsal fins have that iconic venomous barb. Alpha had learned the hard way when a little baby Dew was put in his care to always handle him when wrapped in a wet towel. Pebble still taunts him about how this big, nearly 7 foot tall, big fire ghoul was brought down by this tiny little guppy that acts like a spicy kitten.
With Dew, its a paralyzing venom, and can be extremely painful. Alpha would describe it as feeling what its like to be a human set on fire. So not Great™. Depending on the severity of the sting, the paralyzing effect can last for a half hour to nearly an entire day.
After Dew’s elemental transition though, his venom has only gotten more potent because he can’t control the dose anymore. You get stung by him, and you can either get no venom, or you’re down for the next two to three business days. Phantom learned about this the hard way once when being introduced to the pack.
For earth ghouls, I imagine their venom depends on their diet. Feed them the right foods, and their venom can act similar to a Komodo Dragon. Pebble is the worse about it. The Ministry has no idea how, but he’s been getting access to the food that makes him venomous.
Earth Ghoul venom can cause nausea, fatigue, and if left untreated, serious infections. Thankfully, its rare for earth ghouls to bite anyone, often only biting during serious fights or to take down large prey items around the Ministry grounds.
