I'm on the aro and acespec, but I have had 3 crushes all my life. And I'm still in love with my third. The truth is... It's kind of hard to explain romantic love. Especially when the typical things that people use to define it applies to platonic love and other things sometimes. I feel like romantic love doesn't have a definition. If you do feel it, it can look so different from what you'd think. Because every single human being is different, and feels so differently.

If you can't feel romantic love. You're not lacking. Because love is all around you. Friends, family, admiration, respect. Most importantly from yourself. I feel it's impossible to not experience love because love isn't just romantic. That would be so lame if it worked that way.

All I can say is that if you can feel romantic love, and want to. You probably will. And if it happens you want know it at first, and you might be shocked by it. Might even deny it. But if you've never felt something and you experience it. You'll be able to identify it because it's easy to know what you aren't used to or have never once experienced.

Wish I could give you a sure answer. But all I will say is that you aren't late to love even if you feel it at 80. And you aren't weird if you feel it never.
