Anyway. I do think it’s getting very annoying how some swifties like to compare every young female artist who’s ever mentioned liking or looking up to Taylor to Taylor forevermore.

Only, they get mad when said artist isn’t showing enough “appreciation” to Taylor/ is trying to distance their career from her (a lá Olivia), but they also get mad when said artist is supposedly “copying” Taylor, “name-dropping Taylor to get popular,” or “modeling their whole career off of Taylor” (Kelsea comes to mind).

I simply think that 1) we don’t need the “new Taylor” we literally already have Taylor Swift 2) it’s extremely annoying when swifties pester other artists to talk about Taylor 3) Young female artists all have their own sound, their own style, and their own merit. Comparing everyone to Taylor is so pointless and again…annoying. Their worth isn’t based on how much they like Taylor in the specific ways you find acceptable.
