I wish masking less at work was easier! I am naturally not that verbal unless I'm talking about a special interest, but I know that not talking makes people uncomfortable ... but it's so draining for me in such a specific way

it's not that I'm ignoring people when they talk to me, it's just that certain types of people read me as upset or mad or tired if I am not emoting every time they try and engage me ... and it just so happens that I work with quite a few of those types of people lol

#[static]#and then they come over while im busy writing out my order to be like 'hey are you ok?'#which baffles me every time and makes me feel defensive lol #im just minding my own business trying to do my work please dont interrupt me #just because i didnt wave enthusiastically in your direction when we met eyes doesnt mean im in a bad mood fjgkdfh #my mondays are always hard because there's less queer people and more of the folks who are always seeking attention and-#-Need you to meet their energy or else they think something is wrong #and they have .... very high energy
