On a scale of 1-10, exactly how lonely do you feel?
How bad does it hurt?
When you wake up or go to sleep, do you think about it? Do you feel it so deeply that you think, well that's it, I'm gonna die right here and right now because this feeling is swallowing me whole. But you don't die. You have many things you have to live for anyway. Responsibilities. Messes you have to clean up. Messes you made because you're reckless and impulsive and let's face it, irresponsible.
Then you remember to be grateful, because God saved you so many times and gave you all that you have and you remember that so many others have it so bad, so much worse and so much more horrifying. You remember to be grateful and you think you need to ask for a miracle. But you can't forget that so many others need one too.
When you've been nothing but lazy and reckless and just unaware and selfish, is it okay to ask for a miracle? Is it okay to ask to be loved even when you know you're not in a space to even think about something like that? When it would be unfair to invite another to your doorstep when it's crumbling and you have no way of fixing it right now? But your doorstep and your whole house...it's always falling apart. It's never okay. You've never really had the chance to invite someone in and if you did, it was a long, long time ago. Much has happened since then and the damage is done but you still long for that someone.
When you've reached something of an abominable age and you've been nothing but single and you've lied about it because you're so ashamed of how abnormal you must be. When you've never even been kissed or held or hugged or maybe you've never even been desired by a significant other.
What do you do? Can someone please tell me. Because I don't know what to do. I don't know how to live like this anymore.
