#just bc i saw that ice skating poll lol#i feel like every couple of months i talk with my sister in law and go 'of course i've done (thing).. i did that in gym class???'#and she looks at me like ???????#bc i guess her gym class was just like. standing there#BUT i have to admit many of these are wild to me looking back on it#like bro they had fucking /skis/ for the kids#just a random ass assortment of skis and boots for the kids#and fucking snowshoes#and ice skates#one of the gym teachers would /personally create and maintain a rink every year in the field behind the school/#i'm p sure most of those were donated to the school#i did not go to a private school#this was a public school#polls#the golfing unit was admittedly the strangest#it was just bc the science teacher i had that year was /really/ into golfing#so he personally provided all the stuff for it#and had the other gym teacher also do the unit#(that science teacher was a gym teacher too. i just didnt have him for gym.. only science)
