although satoru initially thought he should probably just stay chill about the whole nanami and utahime being engaged thing, after he'd gotten home and (regrettably) took out his anger on some of his expensive tableware. hey, he had infinity and more money than he could ever spend — he could lash out by throwing his own belongings at the wall if he wanted to. that outburst did offer him some clarity, however, he realized as he shamefully swept up shards of glass.

it was time to confer with the council.

in a rather cartoonish manner, a little devil gojo and little angel gojo popped up on either shoulder. he would gauge their opinions to see how they thought he should proceed.

❝ alright guys, you're all up to speed, right? utahime's engaged to nanami right when her and i were really starting to get somewhere and now she's ignoring me and it's all fucked up! all that work!  ❞ satoru looks between the members of the high council of gojo's morals, and both nod, very familiar with what was going on. the angel speaks first.

❝ nanami is your friend, main satoru. do you really wanna burn that bridge? you had all this time to be serious about utahime, and you wait until the 11th hour to finally make a move? ❞ angel gojo says, and satoru nods in acknowledgement. yeah, that's what he'd considered at first. but that's a direct contradiction to what he wants and what he's been on the fence about for years. he's been trying to have his cake and eat it too for so long, and now that behavior of his has come back to bite him right in the ass. but does he really... want to make that move, or does he just want to have no one else have her? that's cruel, isn't it? they both deserve happiness.

❝ don't listen to that soft bullshit! do what you want or you'll regret it. you really wanna let some other guy have her when you put in all that work and pined for so long? you really wanna be a cuck? lame. lame. total loser shit. we don't lose. ❞ devil gojo says, and yeah, that's pretty compelling too. what's he willing to live with more? that's what it really comes down to. if he's going to object, he has to be ready to be serious.

satoru imagines the rest of his days spent fucking around until finally marrying a woman his family's picked out for him for the sole purpose of having an heir. she'd be nice and pretty, but he wouldn't love her. he'd probably be cold. he'd be unhappy, but he's no stranger to that feeling. then, he pictures a scenario where he is with utahime, happy and boasting a domestic familial life. he used to hate brats, but kids would be nice, wouldn't they? and well, he'd love her. could he allow himself that? to finally let go of his fears and not be so lonely anymore? to live not as the strongest, but as satoru gojo?

satoru puts on his shades and stuffs his car keys into his pocket. his mind's made up. sorry, nanami.

THE JACK OF ALL TRADES: a person who is not content learning about just one thing only , developing a sense to learn something efficiently so they can be good enough at whatever they choose . raised under a strict household , mason craved to learn and experience more than what was taught under the roof of his house and church . spent most of his life reaching out ( sometimes suceeding , sometimes not ) to everything to have some kind of experience under his belt: some of these being both noticed by his parents and some others not ( and for the better ) . a quick learner and adaptable , and when he knows how to approach new skills properly , no mountain is too high for him .

the only child to a priest and a lawyer . mun-hee , eventually introducing himself as mason because he was tired of repeating his name over and over , was brought up in a wealthy and strictly catholic household in olympia , washington . he was forbidden from doing anything out of the ordinary since he could remember ; from dirtying up his sunday clothes to not attending his best friend's birthday party because his parents had the suspicion that substances were going to be involved at the party , and they didn't want him to fall into that hole . if only they knew .

was pushed into the church's choir against his own will when he turned eight , weeks later he was not only praised by his voice , but he fell in love with music . he learned how to play the piano and guitar by himself , and he was later taught by his parent's friends on how to play the violin , the flute , the drums and even the saxophone . he is currently learning how to play the cello and the harp . he specializes on piano , guitar and drums only while the others are one of his multiple , but not so developed , skills .

wrote his very first song when he was eleven ( something that got him the first place at his school's talent show ) , since then he has been writing and creating his own music . he’s currently working on trying to produce something good enough to put out one day . his passion on music caused some tension between him and his parents because , although they didn't disown him or anything , they didn't approve of it---- mostly because they had plans of having him replace his father's position at their church . this caused mason to simply not talk about music with them . it was when he graduated high school when he decided to move out to new york to attend columbia as a mathematics major with a minor on creative writing . after graduation , he moved to novan at the age of 21 because he wanted a new change of scenery .

HOW STRICTLY DO YOU FOLLOW CANON?  — I tend to stick pretty close to what little is properly established for Chara, and I enjoy finding little details in the game that I can link into their story (e.g. Asriel asking Frisk to let him win in the final fight, or the fire tools in New Home being filed down.) There’s definitely some of my own headcanons in there though, and I’ll often switch up canon a little bit to make a RP setup work.

SELL YOUR MUSE! AKA TRY TO LIST EVERYTHING, WHICH MAKES YOUR MUSE INTERESTING IN YOUR OPINION TO MAKE THEM SPICY FOR YOUR MUTUALS.  —  You know the trope of “the villain has to think they’re doing the right thing”? Chara’s the opposite of that. They’re a kid deliberately playing the villain, who’s just happened to gain the power needed to be actually dangerous. They’ll do almost anything to get to where they want to be. They’ve got the RP potential for anything from soft wholesome interactions with family and friends, to intense fights to the death. They’re very reactive, and will change the way they talk and act to get a particular response out of someone. They’re the kid who thought they were the Chosen One, and died for that mistake.

NOW THE OPPOSITE, LIST EVERYTHING WHY YOUR MUSE COULD NOT BE SO INTERESTING (EVEN IF YOU MAY NOT AGREE, WHAT DOES THE FANDOM PERHAPS THINK?).  —  They’re straight up not a good person. They can be very antagonistic, no matter how friendly your character is. I don’t ship with them at all, romantically or sexually. They’re a bit overplayed as a RP character, and I don’t exactly do much new with them. It’s very hard to get them to open up, or to do any kind of character development - not impossible, but hard. 

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO RP YOUR MUSE?  —  I’ve always found villain characters interesting, often more than the protagonists themselves. When I first heard of Undertale, I only knew of Chara as the “hehe creepy murder kid villain” character, and played about with RPing them a bit. As I got more into the fandom, I started learning more about them, and how much depth they could have, and it inspired me to keep developing and writing them. 

WHAT KEEPS YOUR INSPIRATION GOING?  —  I tend to be very on and off with blogs like this, I’ll have a period where I’ll have loads of inspiration and then it’ll drop off over time. This time around, I’ve managed to join a really cool discord and made some great friends, so I’m hoping they’ll inspire me to stick around a bit longer :D

IF SOMEONE REALLY HATES YOUR CHARACTER, HOW DO YOU TAKE IT?  —  Again, that’s honestly chill. They’re a pretty polarizing character, and the fanon for them can be pretty negative sometimes. I don’t personally agree with some of the reasons why people don’t like them (nochoco’s theory of them abusing Asriel, for example), but I know I’m not gonna be able to change everyone’s mind. 

ARE YOU OKAY WITH PEOPLE POINTING OUT YOUR GRAMMATICAL ERRORS?  — I don’t mind jokey mentions if I make a funny typo, or pointing out mistakes in permanent parts of my blog (a friend pointed out yesterday that my description had been saying Indepent instead of Independent for months lmao). I don’t think that nitpicking every reply is gonna do much good, though.
