Mafuyu

Would be Mimi, a med student with lower max reason in exchange for higher knowledge, or Ayaka, whose perks scale with how many curses she bears.

Would use the Seventh Curse, a backstory that disables human allies in exchange for starting with more money.

Would face the old god Eh-Żhal, the Inconceivable Sadness

Would solve the Bloody Brief of a Beckoning Bulletin, an online network that convinces people to commit suicide to join together, and the Tragic Tale of the Thaumaturgy Teacher, about a class that summons an eldritch horror.

Kanade

Would be Yashiro, a failed priest who gains buffs based on the FAITH stat, or Haru, a nicotine addict with survivor's guilt.

Would use Knight-Errant, a backstory which punishes you for failing to achieve the best outcomes of each mystery.

Would face the old god Ktu-Rufu, the Dreaming

Would solve the Restless Rumors of a Residential Recluse, wherein the protagonist is trapped inside their apartment, and Vicious Verses of A Violent Vigil, wherein a relative attempts to come back to life.

Ena

Would be Miku, a rioter whose stats increase the further into the playthrough you are, or Toshiaki, who has a tome of powerful effects.

Would use Scars, which lowers both maximum health stats and damage taken.

Would face the old god Herald of the Shattered Court.

Would solve the Perilous Parable of the Peculiar Painting, about an artist who sacrifices people to his art, and the Worrying Write-Up Of A Wordless Ward, about an acquaintance who envies the protagonist's appearance.

Mizuki

Would be Juri, who levels up twice as fast until the ghost within her breaks out, or Kana, whose pronouns are randomized every time you play their mystery, and as a playable cannot lose from health stats reaching 0.

Would use Hunted by the Cult, which gives a bonus after solving mysteries, but enables a couple unique and difficult combat encounters.

Would face Cthac-Atorasu, the Spider God, who prevents you from running from combat.

Would solve Chilling Chronicle of a Crimson Cape, about a being haunting the school bathrooms, and the Far-out Fable of a Fear Festival, wherein a cult lingers in the shadows of a small village.

Saezuru Chapter 50 spoilers! So far:

-There is some touching. Doumeki fingers Yashiro on the bed (he gets three in, attaboy) and Yashiro is completely flustered and comes. Doumeki comments on Yashiro bruises from Inami.

-Once they’re done, Doumeki answers Yashiro’s door and Nanahara is there and his face is asklhalshla. He asks what Doumeki is doing in Yashiro’s apartment and YASHIRO JUST STROLLS OUT INTO THE LIVING ROOM COMPLETELY NAKED ajsgakjgsa

-They talk about yakuza drama (Okuyama, what Yashiro and Sakura are after, etc...)

-Then Yashiro, Doumeki, Nanahara, and Kamiya go out to eat? I think? There is some kind of talk about money being stolen but I don’t have all the context. 

-The Club Madam runs into Doumeki (above) and is overly familiar and friendly with him WHICH YASHIRO DOES NOT LIKE. Remember, he thinks Doumeki has a woman and Nanahara says something that lightly confirms Yashiro’s wrong suspicions.

-Because Yashiro has the emotional profile of a child, he acts on his jealousy by announcing that he’s going to the restroom but he really doesn’t; instead, he goes to where Kido is being held. He propositions Kido in a really desperate way and blows him but Kido is confused and comments on how Yashiro can’t get it up. It’s like WHY ARE WE DOING THIS???

-Doumeki storms in, hits(?) Kido, and rips Yashiro away, just like he does when Yashiro gets too close to Inami. Then he says something like “will you be satisfied if I do it? Don’t force me to fuck you” although the jury is still out on the direct translation. I have a bunch of people looking into it.
