Passion for cooking leads Jupiter mom from India to new project during pandemic JUPITER, Fla. — For Iti Soni, it’s all about spreading love through food. “It wasn’t planned,” she said. She always had a passion for cooking. “I love three things — taking pictures, using Facebook and making food,” Soni said. What she didn’t know is that it would lead to a profession doing a pandemic. It’s one of those silver-lining stories during a trying time. “I posted it, and my friends started asking about it. ‘Oh, your food looks so interesting. Can we try it?'” she said. Word of mouth led to requests by the hundreds. Eventually, a few months ago, she bought a food truck in Jupiter Farms. “I’m like making extended family here, since we are, like, miles away from India,” she said. “So I feel that connection. I feel that love and I’m, like, making friends.” Customers line up on Friday evenings to pick up their pre-ordered meals. Matt Story/WPTV Iti Soni says she’s feeling the love and making friends through her food. “I don’t even, like, eat on Fridays until I see, like, how people like it,” she said. In India, Soni said she worked in a bank and has an MBA in finance and a masters degree in computers. She is from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, and made her way to the U.S. “Came here, became a housewife, a mom, and I used to think, like, ‘Why did I do all these things when I am not able to do anything here?'” she said. But that pause, she believes, led to a plan. “I think it’s all, like, God, because I always was a home mom,” she said. “I have so many degrees. I always wanted to do something. Kelly Slater’s Florida ‘surf ranch’ receives the green light

In Palm Beach

Kelly Slater’s proposed surf park at the Palm Beach Park of Commerce has received approval from Palm Beach County, according to the surfing legend’s Instagram.

“Well...it’s official,” Slater wrote. “We have a building permit in Palm Beach County for #SurfRanchFlorida. I’m beyond proud and stoked to see the first of our developments at @kswaveco going to my home state of #Florida.”

Surf Ranch Florida will live on 80 acres and features a man-made surfing lake. Slater proved the concept already in California.

“Thank you to Mayor Burdick and the city commissioners for your approval and support of the project,” Slater continued. “Also thank you to #JupiterFarms for your comments and support. Looking forward to being neighbors. I keep joking about it but it might be true that now I can move back home now and surf as much as I want! Cannot wait to see a bunch more stoked people riding waves. This is gonna be fun.”

The never-ending downward spiral of depression ...

Depression is considered among the most common of behavioral disorders. What’s more, depression can affect your clarity of mind, which can affect your physical health.

If your mind is dull, you can’t concentrate. And if can’t concentrate, you can’t learn to do what’s needed to fix your physical health.

In other words, the more depressed you are, the worse your health gets. Then the worse your health gets, the more depressed you become. A never-ending downward spiral.

Western doctors frequently diagnose depression as a chemical imbalance in the nervous system, and often use antidepressants to treat the illness. In fact, according to the July 8, 2022 issue of The Pharmaceutical Journal, almost 84 million antidepressants were prescribed to Americans during the past year.
