GAMEPLAY ( KR: 게임플레이 ), also known as GAMEBOYZ, is a twelve membered boy group under STARBORN CREATIVE. They are well-known for their versatile sound and their video game style concept.

The group originally debuted in 2017 with thirteen members, well received by netizens and being called STARBORN's prettiest boy group. However, the group went through a hiatus in 2019 following a tragic car accident with members DJ, DIAZ, A. JUN, and JUNSIK, unfortunately resulting in the passing of DJ and JUNSIK. Soon after the accident, member A. JUN left both the group and company, stating that he would stay with his family and seek mental help after his brother's passing.

Only three months later, members FABIAN, HARU, and HERO were introduced to the group, making the lineup thirteen. Members DAESUNG and LIAM soon dropped the lineup again to eleven as they left both the GAMEPLAY and STARBORN CREATIVE, stating in their social media that the company was replacing JUNSIK and DJ. STARBORN CREATIVE denied the rumors, saying that they were simply trying to 'keep the group going in the deceased artists' memories.' In 2021, member JISU was added.

To this day, the lineup remains the same at twelve members.

He actually began his career with Superbia back in 2012, though he remained anonymous. He produced for years for them and other companies without revealing his face, and released a handful of popular albums.

He has produced for several notable idol groups, including all of Superbia’s. beyond groups, he’s partnered with other producers for projects, and put together instrumentals for choreographies belonging to dance teams. The majority of his career has been spent behind the scenes. 

Junsik has already completed his 18 months of military service. 

When he returned from the military, he decided to re-debut and reveal his face, and while it was never officially announced that he was the rapper who disappeared 18 months prior, people quickly figured it out.

He’s known for his rapid rapping skills and down-to-earth affect. it’s obvious that he’s still getting used to being in the public eye, even though it’s been over 4 years. 

He seems incredibly intimidating because of his stature and body modifications, but junsik is the papa bear of superbia entertainment, and is one of the easiest people around whom to be around. he’s especially protective of his partner, RJ.

He enjoys producing for girl groups the most, and has a signature sound! He loves making musically complex but bubbly girl group songs, and has worked with GWSN and LOONA.

BACKGROUND/HEADCANONS.

Sua vida foi perfeitamente mediana por 18 dos seus 24 anos de vida. Seu pai era dentista, a mãe dona de casa. Tinha apenas uma irmã e, apesar de não serem ricos, nunca lhes havia faltado nada na infância. Moravam em uma casa no subúrbio de Seoul, com um quintal para brincar e a companhia de um labrador chocolate chamado Haengbogi, apelidado de Bogi para encurtar. Frequentou escolas particulares durante toda a sua vida e, por sorte ou por design do destino, passou despercebido na maior parte do tempo. Era um aluno de desempenho adequado, não excepcional, e uma criança bem ajustada o suficiente para não sofrer bullying, mas diferente demais para se sentar na mesa dos populares. Conhecendo a realidade das escolas na Coreia, muitos chamariam a isso de sorte.

Mas não Junsik, que tinha ambições do tamanho do mundo. Não havia nada de extraordinário em sua história até então, e estava cansado de levar uma vida de comercial de margarina – perfeita e superficial. Foi em seu décimo oitavo aniversário que tudo mudou, e a lembrança permanecia clara até hoje: estava em um arcade cercado por amigos quando foi notado. episode one initial thoughts,,, first of all idk if it’s just me but all of the women are so much prettier than the men lol. i feel like all of the women really do have different merits whereas the guys are just ‘healthy bodies’ with the exception of choi sihun and oh jintaek so three of them are sort of similar to me. obviously this might change once i know them better!

echoing a lot of thoughts in the episodes where jia is like too pretty for me honestly, but jiyeon really is the soft girl type which i enjoy. all of the women are just super pretty tho like i said. these kinds of shows really focus on appearance but i also hope an yeawon does well bc she seems so sweet. for men, i do agree that jintaek is interesting but im not really into guys with facial hair lol. i did enjoy the scenes of sehoon cooking but this is just based on appearance

Korean authors are really like to write a story that have some psychology in its, i guess? (stalking killing for example). When you read other manga or yaoi, the storyline will go with flow Start - Beginning - Crisis - End ( ~ 起承转结) But in this manhwa and in stalking killing, every moment was in Crisis stage. TASK 002: THE KIM FAMILY.

HIS PARENTS: Kim Junsik and Kim Eunha

THEIR STORY: Kim Junsik was a successful doctor who had graduated early from university and just finished his practical training when he was sent to his home country, Korea, to work as a doctor on an American military base there. He was a cocky general surgeon with a passion to help individuals. He moved to America when he was 3 years old and lived in Boston for a majority of his life. But, returning back to Korea was exciting to him. While on his off time he would often frequent a strip club where he met Eunha, an eighteen-year-old who had lived a hard life. She worked there as a waitress and part-time escort to pay for her living expenses, both of her parents have passed away suddenly in a car accident. The two immediately fell in love and before they knew it, Eunha was announcing her pregnancy. Though what they didn’t expect was to be suddenly graced with triplets. Both of them being faes, it seemed the chances of having more than one child increased.

THEIR STORY: Due to the fact they’re all triplets, Eric remained fairly close with his siblings. But, over time he began to feel overshadowed by them both. He was extremely close with his father from a young age and craved his praise, but that wasn’t saying he wasn’t close with his mother -- it just felt as if he didn’t connect with his mother as much. Both of his siblings excelled in different areas, Jessica with her dancing and music and Oliver in sports. He’s very popular amongst American fans because of his chaotic personality, down-to-earth vibes, and relatability. 

Jamie has recently been getting incredibly buff and it’s terrifying spectrums for fear of just how built he’s gonna get. He’s currently the most muscular member of UV by far, and he never misses an opportunity to show off his abs or “big titties”, as he so eloquently puts it. He’s capable of picking up every other member, much to Taesong’s dismay, who misses when Jamie was a twink he could push around. 

Jamie is a complete mama’s boy and would do anything for his family, meaning he tends to struggle with homesickness a lot, unfortunately.

His favorite movie is Shrek 2, and he’s willing to argue with ANYONE as to why it’s the best movie in the franchise.

Jamie has produced for several other idol groups, including his labelmate RE:NEW, and has collaborated with X2′s Junsik on a handful of projects for both of their respective groups.  

He’s cousins with Lovenus’ Josie ( @lcvenus​ ), and the two have been close since they were little kids! They’re not allowed to be in the same room, though, because they get incredibly loud and obnoxious. 

Jamie is currently dating fellow idol/producer Kim Dabin of TMRW ( @huiseoks ), but they’re not even remotely public. The two were best friends, and their relationship essentially evolved from there.

Jamie has been known to get flighty and evasive when anxious, and has literally tried to run away from the dorms on a handful of occasions. It’s always up to Taesong to get him back. Being away from home has been incredibly difficult for Jamie, and the others get it. 

He talks in his sleep, and his members often joke that his Korean is better when he’s unconscious than it is when he’s awake. 

He forgets his Korean often, and finds himself lapsing into English if he isn’t diligent.
