When I first started interacting with #elite and #worldclassathletes and #celebrities I didn't chronicle my own personal experiences and achievements dating back to #highschoolsports. My #hs coach #hermanbaker help me become #allcity, #allpublic, public schools at the time could not go to states. I became a #highschoolallamerican, #juniorolympian, #juniornationalchampion with #morrisestatetrackteam in #daytonohio before heading to #pennstateuniversity from #northphiladelphia and #olneyhighschool. I ran track #400meters 47.9 #800meters low 1.50's, #1500meters @ high 3.50's, @ 4.12 in the mile, in the 9.20's for #2miles. High 14's for 2.9 miles, won district titles, #GeorgeSteinbronn #LincolnHS and I broke the #publicleague cross country record at the #belmontplateau and more. Gotta get with my coach to recall my accolades. I lost my portfolio, precious pictures and numerous awards and trophies. A #friend told me that I should start to carry a #camera even though you are an #eliteathlete. Some people know you, but everyone doesn't, but that's okay. The #world only believes what it sees .Unfortunately, I lost alot of my #hardware I had accumulated with news clippings and all I had accumulated trophies trips around the world with #TeamUSA, with the eagles,etc. In retrospect thats great, that's alot for your children to emulate they need to create their own life, plans, formulate the life that they are meant to live I never was trying to shine or upstage the athletes, celebrities I met, worked with or chilled with. Wish I had those pictures now. The world believes what it sees. Social media as we know it today did not exist. What I didn't know is one day I would be an author, radioshow host, then I could share my stories, triumphs, disappointments things I'm gonna get into in my new book. Never Judge. Maybe, I know now I was not ready for some things I was blessed with early on in my life. I wasn't strong enough, prepared enough to fulfill my destiny. You never know what GOD is preparing you and others for. Learn as much as you can about the things that bring you joy and that you are passionate about.
