Cheering loudly you jumped happily as you watched your girlfriend clarisse in the chariot race . She was dominating the field per usual, bringing you a sense of happiness.

As the chariots crossed the corner the winner was shown as percy and annabeth. Rolling your eyes at the circumstances you didn’t hesitate to run towards the daughter of ares.

Sneaking up and around the chariots that pulled into the clearing you snuck up to the taller girl. Watching for a moment as she yelled at her siblings you took the opportunity to jump behind clarisse covering her eyes. “Guess who”

Peeling your fingers off her face she turned around, looking you up and down with a critical look. She rolled her eyes before kissing your forehead. “I can’t stand you sometimes” she sighed while picking a piece of pollen off of your hair.

After about five minutes of walking you eventually brought her to a clearing, it was ok the edge of one of the many cliffs at camp but gave a good view of not only the beautiful scenery bellow but also of the camp itself.

Leaning into clarisse you wrapped a lazy arm around her while resting your head on her. “Pretty huh”

Walking back to clarisse you took her hand into yours once again, kissing her cheek you started to walk towards the ares cabin table with her. “Have I ever told you how hot you are when you act like a bitch”

The sky was a wonderful blue, devoid of clouds, as if the colour could up and swallow you. The grass was cold under her hands, the morning dew dampening the white of her chiton.

She was back, no longer in armour, no longer in immediate danger. And yet, as she looked at the water, she felt that something was off... She sat at the edge of a cliff, one almost similar to that of Antinous's island, except this time her plan wasn't to jump... She didn't think so anyway. No, for now she just observed the water, its slow push and pull, and wondered where was the threat she so heavily felt on her shoulders? Amphitrite was gone, the suitors were killed. Odysseus, her beautiful darling husband and Telemachus her clever beloved son were alive and well, and yet she couldn't help but feel they were in danger all the time.

She had to get away, to convince herself she could leave them alone for a few hours without anything happening... so she sat, she sat and she looked up at the sky which was much too clear and much too blue, she watched the crashing of the water on the rocks and the steps.

With a sharp gasp she turned around, her bow drawn tight as her eyes found the owner of said steps, eyes full of panic, as if expecting it to be Charon himself ready to drag her to the darkest pits of Tartarus. For only a moment, the sun seemed to reflect red on those pitch black irises.

I could tell right off the bat that something wasn't right when I cracked open my eyes.

For starters, it was way too dark for morning. A dull, gray light sneaked through the curtains, barely lighting up the room. Just enough for me to make out the shape of the living room door. I rolled over with a groan, and that's when it hit me: a stabbing pain in my gut, and a warm, sticky feeling between my legs.

"Oh, crap," I moaned, burying my face in the pillow as a sharp pain shot from my gut down to my legs, making me curl up tighter. As much as I wanted to cocoon myself in blankets, I knew I had to get up if I wanted any relief. With a heavy sigh, I dragged myself out of bed, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and trudging to the bathroom.

Flicking on the light, I shut the door behind me, letting out a frustrated groan when I spotted the bloodstain seeping through my underwear. I plopped down on the toilet, wincing as another wave of pain hit me. I knew a hot shower and some meds would help, but right now, I could barely move, my eyes drooping with exhaustion as the pain pulsed through me.

I jumped when I heard a knock on the door.

"Nore? You alright?" Dave's voice floated through, followed by a big yawn.

"I'm good," I mumbled, but my voice sounded weaker than I'd hoped. "Sorry for waking you."

"You sure you're okay?" His concern was palpable, snapping him awake instantly.

"Yeah, it's just... Ow," I winced as another contraction hit hard. That seemed to do it for Dave; he swung the door open and barged in, eyes wide as he scanned the bathroom. I flushed with embarrassment. "Dave!"

"Oh," he whispered, catching on as he saw me doubled over in pain on the toilet, my clothes in a messy heap on the floor, stained with blood. "I'm sorry, babe. You sounded like you were really hurting."

"Have you taken anything for it? Want me to grab you some clean PJs? And socks, to warm your feet. You said that helps with cramps, right?" he asked, instantly slipping into caretaker mode, which made me smile.

"I'd rather you let me clean up and hit the shower first. But yeah, fresh PJs and painkillers would be great."

"Got it. I'll be quick. Don't move," he instructed, ducking out of the bathroom and shutting the door behind him. I let out a soft chuckle. Like I could go anywhere in this state. With a sigh, I got myself up, flushed the toilet, and stepped into the shower.

I leaned back, soaking up the steamy water as it washed over me, easing some of the pain pulsing from my belly. A shower, some meds, fresh clothes, and back to bed, preferably snuggled up with my boyfriend. Seemed like the perfect game plan for that early morning.

I cracked an eye open when I heard Dave tiptoeing back in.

"Brought you clean PJs, pain pills, and your towel," he announced, poking his head into the shower. I smiled softly, thankfully. "Want me to hop in?" he offered.

"What, you wanna join me?" I raised an eyebrow, and he shot back a cheeky grin. Without a word, he stripped down, and I couldn't help but giggle as he pulled me close, peppering my face with kisses – on my lips, my cheeks, my forehead.

"You know what I heard? Orgasms supposedly help with cramps," he whispered in my ear, and I could feel my cheeks heating up.

Bede: The hc name I use for Bede is usually Bede Hibaru cause that's the last name i hc his bio parents to have. I use Bede Poisonmaker (Oleana) or Bede Roseary (Rose) sometimes though Gender hccc, I think Bede is transfem, He/She, doesn't really care what pronouns you call him as long as you don't refer to him as a guy. Gets a lot of body gender dysphoria. I also think she'd be sapphic -Oldest, 16 and a few months older than Marnie -Born in Kitakami, lived with parents for a few years before bein abandoned. He only has foggy memories of his parents, he doesn't care much about them, she does remember their pokemon though -Closest to Gloria overall, she's the one who helped her with the Rose stuff. She's also the one who makes sure Bede gets out sometimes and doesn't stay all her time at the gym. Gloria loves to take him shopping. They get matching earrings when they're older -Bickers with his hatterenne a lot. Has a few bite marks because his mawile chews on his arm, he got used to it. He also has a few scars on his hands from when she was looking for wishing stars -Raihan keeps bothering him (I think Raihan is very chatty and likes to get to know new gym leaders) -Hop's dubwool hates him, Bede has gotten stuck in a tree cause it would not stop trying to tackle him

-Dislikes bitter stuff, loves sweets. Hates coffee in specific. Sometimes he’ll dump spoons of sugar into his drink. She loves to go to random cafés.

Sonia: Hc name is Sonia Sparks -Raised in Spikemuth, dad is from there. Lived there up until she was 12, she then went to live with her grandma -Childhood friends with Piers, when Sonia went to live in Postwick they lost touch, met again in the gym challenge -Had trouble defeating Kabu back during the gym challenge, almost quit, her ninetales comes from his challenge. She quit after the 4th gym

-Disastrous love life. Dated Leon before her transition as kids, broke up after she quit the gym challenge. Was in a relationship with Nessa before deciding they were better off as friends

-Takes naps during the afternoon and stays up late (usually until 2 or 3 am). Definitely not a morning person, very grumpy if woken up. Wakes up late too.

-Loves to drink coffee, has a yamper mug. She saved up for a coffee machine in her kitchen.

-Her n Raihan sometimes share clothes since they have the same body shape.

-Goes on a girl’s night with Nessa (n sometimes Raihan) every month. Leon is not allowed to accompany anymore.

-A few months younger than Leon, both are 25.

-Was very mean as a kid (I like to imagine she was exactly like Bede as a kid). She was very angry too.

-Used to be taller than Leon during the gym challenge. He had a growth spurt after becoming champion.

-I hc Sonia as a trans girl (she/her), realized a few days before she quit the gym challenge. I also think she’s a lesbian.

-Has a ninetales, rotom, yamper and (gigantamax) butterfree. There’s also a few pokemon she keeps in the lab to study, Victor gifted a dreepy to the lab

Raihan:

Hc name is Raihan Everfrost

-Used to be very shy as a kid, clung to Sonia all the time. Didn’t speak that much either. Sometimes hid behind Leon, even though he was taller.

-Raised in freezington, used to wearing warm clothes, so when he visited the mainland he was shocked by the weather. Had an orange scarf gifted to him by his dad. Adoptive dad is the mayor of freezington. Even after moving to Hammerlock, he still visits his dad at least once every 5 months, texts him often.

-Raihan found Leon in freezington a few months before the gym challenge when Leon got lost and somehow ended up in freezington. Raihan met Sonia when she came to pick Leon up.

-Leon was the one who suggested Raihan try the gym challenge.

-Raihan’s vision isn’t the best, his duraludon helped him with navigation back at freezington and during the challenge. After becoming a gym leader, he got contacts to help him see better (still not a perfect vision) but they’re uncomfortable if worn for a long time so he only uses them in public. His contacts also make his eyes seem very blue, his natural ones are a grey-ish color.

-Very social person, doesn’t like being alone, he also feels lonely easily. He visits Sonia and Leon when he can, usually when they’re working. If Gordie’s free he also visits him.

-Has scars from when he got too close to some of the pokemon in freezington, the more recent ones are from accidents during battles. His duraludon also likes to bite. He also has a scar from when Leon’s charizard bit him.

-Has a small pokemon daycare at the gym where he takes care of injured pokemon, usually has a few dragon types.

-While visiting his dad he found an abandoned pokemon egg. He refused to let it out of his sight until it hatched. A shiny snom hatched from the egg and he brings it everywhere. The snom likes to shoot icicles at him when it wants attention.

-Very common Raihan hc but I like to think he has fangs

-A year older than Sonia and Leon (26)

-My hc is that Raihan’s genderfluid, usually doesn’t mind pronouns but on days where he does, he wears colored bracelets that Sonia made for him. Goes by He/She. He’s also a disaster bi in my mind.

Leon

-Hc name is Leonel Arce Laventon

-His fashion sense are just t-shirts, snapbacks and jeans. Maybe a jacket or two. Has an unhealthy amount of snapbacks, at least 40 different designs. Raihan is getting a little worried.

-Lives in Wyndon, his apartment is there. Hop goes to visit him sometimes. -His first name is Leonel (which is what he's called in the spanish version of swsh, fun fact) he just doesn't bother by telling people. Raihan only found out years after knowing Leon. Sonia always knew.

-His hair is naturally black; he just dyes it purple so that he can match Hop. Also reminds him less of his dad

-Takes at least 15 minutes in the morning to comb through his hair, it gets tangled easily.

-Has very good eyesight, as long as he isn’t too close. He’s a bit far sighted. He does have glasses for this but he doesn’t like wearing them.

-Lightweight drinker, gets drunk easily. In contrast, Sonia has a high tolerance.

-Doesn’t like talking about his dad, gets quiet whenever he’s mentioned. He also looks a lot like him, which is the main reason why Leon made some changes to his appearance after he left.

-Wants the best for Hop, but sometimes he’s a little overbearing. He always thinks he could do better.

-Almost got lost in the slumbering weald as a kid because Hop convinced him to go in. Hop has also told him many lies as kids, some he still believes today. It doesn’t help that Sonia did the same during the gym challenge

-Like Sonia, has a disastrous love life, most of the time he doesn’t act

-Honestly, I don’t have a set gender hc for Leon, it’s just. I don’t know. I mostly go with the hc that he goes by any pronouns and doesn’t really care for gender. I do think he’s some flavor of trans. He’s also a disaster gay in my mind, falls for every pretty boy he sees.

Christmas eve had always been their day to celebrate. Every year, without fail, they would get together and just... do something. It had never mattered what. Bunni had always been happy to just be together for a day no matter what. At least, that's what she thought, until Christmas eve became a day of sitting in a silent hospital room next to her dear friend who might never wake up again. And it was all her fault.

This new place, this new world, was very similar to her own in so many ways, but was so different, too. It was exciting, she enjoyed it, but now it was Christmas eve and she couldn't even spend it in the same room they were in. So she did the next best thing. Out in the woods like this, you would never know you were anywhere else. It was exactly the same, all the way up to the cliffside and the steep drop below. She'd been here for awhile now, all day in fact. Sitting with her legs dangling off the edge, mostly. But as it got darker, and darker, and colder... she stood. To stare down the cliff and into the rocks below. It really was a miracle that Amelie hadn't been impaled when they... fell. When they jumped. But not of their own accord! When they were forced to. Which wouldn't have happened if... if she hadn't brought them here.

Oh, god.

The entire area had dropped its temperature dramatically since she'd come out here, the entire forest felt like it was going to freeze over. But she couldn't stop imagining it. The sound they had made when they fell, the sound of the... of the crunch. Frost was spreading over the dirt and grass all around her, out from her feet. What had it felt like..? Were they scared? Were they there at all? The sight of them crumpled on the rocks below... it haunts her still, like she can see them perfectly. She releases a quivering breath, and it fogs the air.

Looking back, would you have jumped ship when things first began going wrong? Would you have thrown yourself overboard to escape, knowing the waves would’ve swallowed you whole? Would you have lost your footing, and became an unwilling spirit among Davy Jones’s vessel?! I couldn’t risk that, Benjamin. I….I had to leave back then. I’m sorry.

The cost of vengeance is hefty one, one less talked about than the art of exacting it. He must’ve held that hatred for so long, that the thought of killing me must’ve kept him kicking. I shudder to think that we’ve both been choked by the same talons that drained the blood from others after us.

I didn’t think I could ever be forgiven. He tormented you for so long and I…I did nothing to stop him back then. I was so afraid for my own life and I…I feared what he couldn’t do to you….he’d do to me. I’m so, so sorry…

Steve looked down at Lover’s Lake, heels digging into the gravel that held him from falling to his death. He stared at it, the moonlight reflecting off of the still water, like if he reached out he could scoop up a little piece of the stars and hold them in his hands. 

He thought back to years and years prior, to the day he made the death pact. To the day he met Eddie Munson. 

He had been 13, walking toward what he knew to be the direction of Skull Rock, barefoot after one of his parent’s fights. It was there that he ran into the other boy, who offered him a joint and a kind smile.

After a bit of talking, Steve confessed something he had never dared to mutter aloud before; the fact that he didn’t want to be alive. He broke into tears and Eddie consoled him, promising him it wasn’t worth it, that he shouldn’t go through with it.

“Why?” Steve had asked, staring into Eddie’s brown eyes, wide and comforting. “Why shouldn’t I?”

“Well,” Eddie replied, “for starters, we wouldn’t ever see each other again.” He smiled, throwing down his joint and grabbing Steve’s hands. “You’re like, the first person to be nice to me in a while. And I get what you’re feeling, ‘ya know? So how about this? If one of us decides we wanna die, the other one dies with them.”

Steve blinked at him, tears falling onto his pajama pants. “Why would we do that?”

“If neither of us have anything to live for,” Eddie said slowly, “why don’t we just live for each other?”

Now, Eddie was dead and gone. And for some odd reason, Steve found himself remembering that encounter that he should have forgotten about the moment he shut the other man out of  his life. But he hadn’t. Hadn’t forgotten, hadn’t given up on his oath.

He didn’t have anything to live for. Not anymore. 

Pulling himself away from the memory, Steve looked down at the water once again. He knew the moment he jumped, it would be done for. The impact of him hitting the water would break every bone in his body, and if it didn’t kill him, the freezing temperature of the lake would. There was no coming out of this alive. 

It was perfect.

Steve took a long, deep breath, the cold air around him filling his lungs. He placed his hand on his chest, running his fingers over the necklace that he hadn’t taken off since Eddie’s death in the Upside Down. It was a guitar pick, the one Eddie had used to distract the demobats. His last reminder of the man he had lost before he was even his. His last ounce of hope. 

His foot edged forward, toe of his shoe hanging over the cliff.  “Just do it,” he muttered to himself. “Just end it all.”

He leaned forward… and just as he did, someone caught him by the collar. “Steve,” they said, pulling him back.

Steve froze. “Eddie?”

With Clay being an immigrant pursuing the ""American Dream"" I imagine he had to repress a lot of feelings in order to succeed in life. We don't know anything about his family, if he has one. So i can see him being very lonely and covering it with his "tough as grits" mindset. I feel like most of his relationships are kept business-only so to not let anyone in too close. No room for love when you have a business to run 🇺🇸🦅‼️‼️ I just think he has a lot of loss and loneliness in him...... JUST LIKE ALDER‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ Although Alder is much more in tune with his feelings and generally more casual and relaxed about things. Nevertheless hs is Champion "has a grandson but no mentioned partner or children to have had Benga" Alder. Champion "His beloved starter pokemon died of illness and was so devastated he couldn't fulfill his job as champion for who knows how long" Alder. They have things in common I think .

Sad stuff aside I just think this is a great pairing like. Guys who go fishing together. Guys who would really enjoy a nice pile of dirt. They eat breakfast at waffle house. Clay gives Alder cool rocks and Alder shows Clay his special Jumping Off Cliffs trick and promptly gives him a heart attack. Literal untapped potential

Rating all Subnautica biomes on how nice they are and how good having a base is for each one

Safe shallows: good to start, nice and centre of map for travelling, boring and basic thou. West one occasionalky has reapers follow you into (terrifying when that happens) 6/10

Kelp forest: good materials, again near the centr of the map, crocodiles are annoying and always steal my probes, good for scrap and salt early on. 4/10

Grassy plateaus: nice, relaxing, good amount of resources and wrecks, centred but better can be angled towards preferred edges of the map for good resources. 7/10

Mushroom forest: beautiful, scenic, near later game stuff and island. Cuddle fish egg. Dont go east because of the reapers. 9/10

Crash zone: why would you live there, close to aurora (free food), reapers. 1/10

Crag field: forgettable, has bone sharks. 3/10

Bulb zone: dont like the bulbs, lost river entrance, near to aurora and island, electric eels and potential reapers. 2/10

Mountains: reaper, has gun island, warpers, just go for the biomes next to it. 1/10

Underwater islands: cool, fancy, near the gun island and other resource stuff. 6/10

Blood kelp islands: cooler and even fancier than the other islands. Near gun island and lost river. Ghost leviathan. 7/10

Sparse reef: moody, weird atmosphere. Fun to live in - no enemies but all the atmosphere, near multiple entrances to the lost river and the floating island. 7/10

Blood kelp trench: has all the fear. Cool atmosphere, solid 8/10

Grand reef: awesome, its blue with blue and more blue. Cool enemies and biome shape, old but cool degasi base, lost river entrance and floating island. Cuddlefish egg. Very nice 10/10

Sea treader's path: good loot, boring, not much there ngl, sea treaders are cool thou when you find them, accidentally goes to the dunes thou. 4/10

Dunes: too many reapers, not worth it, its just sand innit. Cuddlefish egg but reapers. 0/10.

Mushroom caves: nice and purple, scary snakes but worth it. Fun. 8/10

Gun island: nice food, cool alien gun, scary reaper to fall to when you jump off the cliff at the north. Annoying crabs and warpers everywhere. 6/10

Floating island: nice food, plants to steal, degasi was there. Annoying crabs again. Good food again and nice pool in the middle. Above my favourite biome. 9/10

Void: cool, atmospheric, ghost reapers, living in the danger zone. Bit far from literally anywhere on the map. Did i mention cool? 9/10

Bone fields: cool scenery, good resources, hope you like ghost leviathans. 3/10

Corridor: crab squids boo, rather boring, near blood trench, eh. 4/10

Ghost canyon: near grand reef woooo, cool bones and good resources again like the whole of the river. 6/10

Ghost forest: cool trees, up by the blood kelp islands. Annoying eels, dont forget the eels. 7/10

Tree cove: beautiful, awesome, blue and safe. Next to lava zone entrance. Good resources. Did i see beautiful? 10/10

Junction: middle of the river, near everything for it. Got lava dragon bones which look cool, good resources. 7/10

Disease research facility: too many warpers. Not anything to look at other than the facility. 3/10

Mountain corridor: has a bit to the lava zone, ghost leviathan, leads to the bulb zone and mountains, i get lost here. 3/10

Inactive lava zone: has kyanite and other stuff. Has cook lava lakes and falls. Sea dragon 7/10

Active lava zone: both the lava lakes and falls are pretty. Lots of lava. Sea dragons. 8/10

Shallow twisty bridges: nice and centralised, good for a starter base. The bridges are nice and twisty and it goes surprisingly deep. Al-An is there, bonus points. 8/10

Deep twisty bridges: very nice, even better than the shallow twisty bridges. Annoying to get trucks in and out thou. 9/10

Kelp forest: sea monkeys are adorable, good biome and centralised. Nice and green and has cool caves. 10/10

Thermal spires - it doesn't look nice, has some good loot for early on thou. Annoying enemies, theyre too loud and too common. 3/10

Tree spires - very pretty, has vent gardens which are cool to look at. The leviathan is annoying. 7/10

Purple vents - the purple flames are cool, annoying leviathans thou, has some of the mercury ii to loot thou. Nice and centralised. 5/10

Rocket island - has good stuff to decorate your base with. And penwings - very cute. 7/10

Sparse arctic - its kind of sparse with not much going on. 5/10

Lily pads - it feels alive and moving. Has some of the mercury ii in it. Quality place to live. Annoying sharks minus a point because they keep turning off my stuff. 9/10

Arctic - Good views from iceberg stuff. Looks rather nice. Has marguerit's base (free food). 9/10

Glacial bay - has good views above and below water. Eye jellies are cute. 8/10

Glacial basin - i like the snow stalkers and free decorations. Penwings are cute too but you can get them anywhere. 6/10

Arctic spires: spires are cool and pretty, worms are annoying. 4/10

Crystal Caves - cool crystals and nice views but the leviathan is rather boring. Plus i get lost in the place. 7/10

Fabricator cavern - crystals are cool i guess. Its a pain to get out plus the leviathans. 6/10

Void: not as cool as the original, leviathans dont look as cool or interesting or scary. Looking out into the dark is atmospheric thou. 6/10

As for my personal take on this ship, heh, buckle up :3

For their dynamics, I really like the idea of them going way back, knowing each other since before the fall of Edenia and being best friends!

Sindel being the very energetic and adventurous one, thinking she can do anything, while Raiden is the cautious one!

Young Sindel: Do you think I can fly?

Young Raiden: Well, I suppose--

Sindel: *Jumps off a cliff*

Raiden: BY THE ELDER GODS!!

Much like Li Mei, I also Headcanon Raiden to be Aroace, and I like the idea of him finding out through Sindel.

She starts spending too much time with Jerrod and he gets a bit jealous, and he starts to ponder why is he feeling that way,

Raiden: Could I be in love with her?

Cetrion, fellow aroace: Nope.

In the end he gets to the conclusion that yes, he loves her but he's not in love and his jealousy is just the result of missing hanging out with his best friend!

After Sindel is forced to marry Shao Khan Raiden tries to help in any way he can, but by the rules of the Mortal Kombat there isn't much he can do, he visits her in secret and he watches over her daughter.

When Shao threatened to harm Earthrealm, Sindel created the magical barrier to protect it, she almost died, but thankfully Cetrion intervened and Sindel just lost a big parcel of her powers.

Afraid Sindel would be too vulnerable to survive Shao's wrath, Raiden requested Cetrion to hide her in Earthrealm, the Goddess granted his wish and now Sindel lives hidden in a city in China as a tea house owner named Lady Del.

Raiden is a loyal costumer, who always brings her a different tea to add to her store. He spends hours and hours at the tea house, plotting a way of bringing Kitana to safety, in Earthrealm!
