Good evening from the sunny UK 🇬🇧 everyone. I know, two posts in a day…who even AM I? I’ve been wanting to try the #jumperbookchallenge for a while now and loved seeing it on lovely Laura at @booksididitagain page. For this post I was also inspired by the fabulous Cath, my friend over at @sandladysbooks as she posted one of these Persephone books on her grid today - The Making Of A Marchioness by Frances Hodgson Burnett. We’re going to buddy read it together so I’m very excited to read it. The other Persephone books are: The World That Was Ours by Hilda Bernstein Tell It To A Stranger by Elizabeth Berridge The Persephone Book Of Short Stories by Various Miss Buncle’s Book by D E Stevenson Miss Buncle Married by D E Stevenson The Two Mrs Abbotts by D E Stevenson The Persephone books are a gorgeous collection (obviously I want them all 😂) to celebrate forgotten or less known female authors. They have the most incredible end pages and a bookmark which matches it. 😍 I’ll pop an image up on my stories if you want to check it out later. The grey matching jumper is so precious to me and a new acquisition to my jumper drawer. I’m in a wonderful book club run by bestie @keeperofpages called #keeperofking where we read a Stephen King book each month. This jumper celebrates Oy, the little billy bumbler (animal) who plays a very important role in the Dark Tower series and is one of my favourite characters. The group led me to the website where you can get this jumper and I’ve been obsessed ever since. As I write this I am sitting in a different billy bumbler t shirt so there you go! 😂 I won’t tag anyone as this is quite an old tag but if you fancy playing, please do!
