Jumin Week 2024 News!
Ok, so apparently this is happening! 🫨
Tumblr media
After doing the math I think we have enough people willing to participate to make Jumin Week 2024 a reality
Tumblr media
About the prompts, I thought we could go with the second most voted theme from last year: that's it The Language of Flowers.
Now, as maybe you know, there's a TON of flowers with meaning because the Victorians were super repressed! So, to make things simpler I thought to use the wedding bouquets from The RFA last year which are exactly 7 flowers. Fortunately someone on Instagram made a post about it, so I'm posting it now so you can start working on the prompts until we have the schedule ready and pretty 🙂:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, because I suppose those who voted for flowers already had an idea what they wanted to write/draw/etc, I'm open to suggestions about what flower they want to be included as a prompt, so feel free to send an ask if you want to request a specific flower, but only if you are going to participate as a writer/an artist/etc.. (btw Jumin's bouquet is the Serbian Bellflower, that would be our prompt for his birthday 👀)
Also I'm going to make a poll whether we are having a parallel theme or not, with the tarot cards Major Arcana (but on the weekend, super tired right now OTL)
Let me know what you think? Do you like this theme? Any suggestions? Doubts? Feel free to drop an ask or comments in the tags/reblogs! Remember this may be the last Jumin Week so don't keep to yourself anything!
(if you are new and have any doubt you can also check this blog for past submissions)
For The Han!!! 👑✨💜💜💜
Tumblr media
Edit: I forgot to mention Jumin Week starts on the 5/10 with Jumin's Birthday for time reasons.

i think the dynamic in most jumin/mc fics of jumin trying his damnest to spoil mc with extravagant things and the like, but she refuses them cause they like jumin for himself, not for his money, is very sweet and cute...... but I like the idea of him just figuring out that mc just isn't interested in lavish stuff and just buys them shit like robux instead hsjdjfkgkd
jumin:*getting nervous because he hasnt spent any money on mc in weeks* my love, are you sure there isn't anything in this boutique you like, I can provide you anything :(
mc:*trying not to cringe at all the scratchy looking shirts* no sweetie, your love is enough :))))
jumin: ....... ok what about robux
mc: 😐💭(is jumin for real going to buy my dumbass robux wtf)💭

Jumin wakes from a nightmare and goes searching for comfort.
°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。
Jumin…Jumin…
JUMIN!
Jumin snapped awake, jostling his chair and inhaling raggedly. He looked around, seeing that he was still in his living room and most importantly, still alone.
Jumin leaned forward and put his head in his hands, unable to shake himself from the nightmare he’d been awoken from quite yet. It was one in the same vein as they all were; memories he’d tried to forget even though he knew he couldn’t. Memories from his and his father’s past.
Jumin wiped the sweat from his brow and worked on slowing his breathing, keeping his eyes open and focused on the carpet beneath his chair. When he’d calmed down just slightly, he sat back up, glancing over at the paperwork he’d been working on before he unfortunately dozed off.
His eyes ached at the tiny print on the paper, and just as soon as he picked it up, Jumin put it back down and sighed slowly. He felt useless for so many reasons, and having that ridiculous nightmare made him feel less and less in control. He needed to be in control, in that moment more than ever.
An image of her flashed in his mind. His heart palpitated strangely, like it had been doing for the past few days, but it wasn’t dizzying anxiety like he’d felt just moments previous. If anything, thinking of the woman in his bed nearly made him forget why he was so on edge in the first place.
Jumin took a deep breath before he stood from his chair. After not moving for quite some time, the tension in his body was uncomfortable. He started towards his bedroom, remembering all he’d said to her last night as he felt his body untie some of its knots.
As he approached the door, he heard her light breathing and couldn’t help but smile. Peeking in, he admired the way she looked so peaceful, so carefree. He was sincerely thankful that she was able to get rest, despite all of the events that had transpired over the past week. He felt a flash of envy before it melted into gratitude for her presence.
How could he bear to let her go in the morning?
Jumin had taken a step into the room before he’d thought about it, unable to think of a reason that made sense for him not to move closer.
He stopped just next to the bed, able to hear her breathing much more clearly and realizing his own breaths had calmed back to normal.
Staring down at her, the only label for the emotion that was burning in his chest was love. He was in love with her. The feeling itself was not what frightened him, but the thought was horrifying. How could he love someone, let alone someone he’d met only days ago?
In multiple instances, his father had been beguiled by women he mistakenly put his trust in. He watched him ponder over it and inevitably give in, no matter how much Jumin urged him to see reason. Eventually, Jumin stopped trying.
But as soon as he no longer outwardly cared, that’s when those women began to focus on him too. The thought nearly brought him back into his nightmare, blinding rage flashing across his vision.
MC shifted in the bed in front of him, pulling him from his thoughts. It felt almost wrong to be upset in her presence. How could he lose himself in thought when she was right in front of him?
Jumin sat down slowly, working to clear his mind as he watched her sleeping peacefully. His eyes scanned over her face, taking a long look at her lips. Her kiss was like magic, some kind of force he’d only read about in books. Thinking of her smile made his chest feel fuzzy, and when he moved to look down at himself out of slight worry, Jumin realized he’d laid down next to her.
He paused, feeling his heart rate quicken. He had never lost control like he did when he was with her. It perplexed him, but he was equally as confused as to why he didn’t want that fact to change.
She was so close to him in that moment, so beautiful and so serene. His hand moved out towards her, lingering above her face before he brushed the back of his index finger along her cheek. Her deep breaths shallowed, prompting Jumin to wonder about how heavily she slept.
Taking his hand back, he waited as she returned to a deeper sleep, his eyelids growing heavier as he lay beside her. After a moment, he reached out again, pulling the blanket back over her shoulder. This time, he couldn’t pull away, and he rested his hand on her upper arm. She was warm, contrasting with his cool hand. He felt the hairs stand up on his arm, his fingers tightening around her minutely. She reacted with a short, low hum from the back of her throat, but she didn’t move an inch.
Despite the feeling that was burning in his throat, Jumin decided to let her rest, praying that he would have time to explore his curiosities on another calmer night.
A thought flashed in his mind for him to remove himself from the bed, from her arm, but the thought was quickly buried by fatigue. Jumin worked to keep his eyes open, to look at her for just a second longer, but his exhaustion got the better of him.
Hours later, when the sun had begun to rise, Jumin innately roused. Some days he wished that his bodily rhythm would allow for longer sleep, especially this past week.
He willed his eyes open, starting to sigh before his breath caught in his throat in panic. Her face was inches from his, and as the blood began to rush through his body, he realized that she was touching him too. She was still asleep, breathing slowly as Jumin looked down to see both her hands outstretched to him. One of them was draped over his upper arm, her hand reaching down towards his back, and the other had a small handful of his shirt. It had come slightly untucked in the night, leaving just enough fabric to be gripped by her hand just above his heart.
Jumin looked over her features, knowing that his heart should be racing with anger, resentment, or guilt. But when he searched, there was nothing but peace and eagerness to learn more about her. To hold her like she was holding him, and to love and cherish her for the amazing soul she’d offered to him in kindness. He would forever be indebted to her for the solace she’d provided him in his lowest moments.
Jumin watched her until drowsiness began to take over him once more. He was tempted to stay, to let her hold him as long as she wanted, but he knew he needed to keep himself grounded. It was important for him to let her go today or else there would be no possibility of them being together in the future. He had to regrettably detach from her, just for today, just enough to let her leave, so that he could be bound to her forever.
Jumin longed to reach forward and press a kiss to her cheek, her forehead, her nose, but he didn’t want to wake her so early. He slowly began to move backward out of her embrace, holding his breath as she twitched and took her arm back. But her hand still gripped his shirt, and even as he continued to move, that fact didn’t change.
Jumin reached down, his fingertips brushing over her wrist as a test before he gently placed his hand over hers. Hooking his pinkie finger under hers, he pulled her hand from his shirt achingly slow, nearly hearing his heart rate pick up as she latched on to his finger instead. Jumin placed their joint hands on the bed in front of him, rubbing the back of her hand with his thumb until he could pull his finger free. The loss of warmth from her touch made his chest ache in a way he had become too familiar with these past few days, but he steeled himself.
Standing from the bed, he imagined himself waking up with her every day, kissing her good morning, and leaving her to sleep more. Jumin felt a small smile come to his lips, shaking his head and lightly scolding himself for daydreaming.
Taking one last look at her, he left the room, closing the door behind himself and realizing he finally felt rested.

RFA x Mc who stays alone while someone tries to enter the house
So, this scenario came suddenly to my mind! Hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Jumin
It’d been a long time since you stayed alone in the big penthouse.
Jaehee was ultra annoyed because of a project and Jumin just had to stay a bit longer at the office, something he didn’t quite enjoy but couldn’t change.
You were in your private library, sitting in the relatively darker room with a little light next to you so that you could at least read the book Jumin bought for you.
You were enjoying the calmness, the quiet lonely feeling of freedom.
But still, you couldn’t wait until Jumin came home to hug you.
The day was long.
You sat there on your couch until you heard something on the window.
At first, you thought it was your imagination, but then you heard it again and tried to focus longer.
An animal? Why wasn’t the alarm going off?
These thoughts haunted you until a face appeared behind the glass, making you shriek.
In that very moment the man crushed the window with a stone he was holding in his free hand and managed to enter through it, making you scream even louder.
The alarm finally went off, over sounding your screams of fear and making the bodyguards finally react.
In a totally different place Jumin was busy working on the project while Jaehee was too busy rolling her eyes at a specific phone call.
When she, however, heard the bodyguard's words, her face turned pale.
At the same time, Seven entered the chatroom and informed everyone what just happened - somehow he got a notification when the alarm went off in the penthouse and hacked into the CCTV.
Jumin and Jaehee never arrived so quickly at the penthouse and Jumin was never so scared for your life.
His hands were still trembling when he was holding your sobbing body.
The bodyguards who were supposed to patrol the garden were fired and the security was kept even tighter. He would never let something happen to you.
Never.
Zen
,,Maybe I should call in sick,’’ he sighed, kissing your temple again.
You were rocking your sleeping baby daughter. She was just two weeks old and it already felt as if she was always there, as if you were always rocking a baby in your arms.
Your hair wasn't brushed yet and you still didn’t change your sleeping gown, but you still had a soft smile on your lips.
,,Don’t be silly, it’s just today. The director needs you, we will handle it,’’ you tried to calm him down, your eyes never leaving the baby you were holding.
She had white hair, but your eyes, something that amazed you.
But she was already so beautiful and a really calm baby.
,,I know, but I worry about you two… I don’t want to leave you,’’ he whispered and stroked his daughter's soft skin.
His daughter.
Just thinking about it made his heart swell.
But no matter how much his heart hurt at the thought of leaving you, he had to go to work.
If the director would let him fall, he wouldn’t be able to provide for you or his child - he didn’t want to risk it.
The hours passed by and passed by until it was time to make dinner.
By now you fed your daughter a few times and also changed her diapers.
Of course you changed your clothes - both of yours - several times and managed to brush your hair and get some house cleaning done.
You just needed to cook dinner now and then the day would be over.
The baby just began to whine again when you put the noodles into the soup.
Thinking you would just go away for a few seconds to take your daughter, you didn’t turn off the heat but just stepped away - it was still unknown to you that this was what saved you.
Just when you had your baby in your arms, an odd sound made you stop breathing.
Something was crushed in the bathroom.
Remembering you left open the window after a shower earlier, you thought the worst.
You put your daughter’s pacifier in her mouth, praying to god that this would make her stay silent before you tried to slowly walk towards the door to run out.
The steps came closer and closer and you already thought you lost, when something made another loud sound, this time coming from the kitchen.
The steps stopped and seemed to go in a different direction, the chance you used to run away.
You quickly ran out, left the door open, and ran.
Your baby was in your arms, without a jacket and shoes, you just ran.
,,MC?!’’ Zen called when he saw you, his motorcycle stopping across from you.
,,Princess, what are you doing? Why are you like that?’’ he asked you, referring to your barefoot body.
,,Hyun! Someone broke in! Someone broke in!’’ you gasped and sobbed, just now you realized how painful it was, how scared you were.
Zen didn’t wait a second to call the police and give you his jacket and shoes.
While waiting for the police so that you could drive a car back home, Zen held you and tried to calm you down.
The burglar didn’t find anything, apparently - or so showed the CCTV at home. He was surprised by the dinner and ran away as soon as he heard the door.
Still, Zen took this as a sign and decided to listen to his gut the next time he didn’t want to go to work.
Yoosung
,,Alright, see you tomorrow,’’ Yoosung said, kissing your head and making you chuckle.
Actually, he would be back at midnight as he had the later shift, but he liked to act as if being a vet in a hospital and having a late shift were holding him back from seeing you, being overdramatic.
You waved goodbye and then began to enjoy the free time you were going to have.
You cleaned, cooked, read a book, watched an anime, and spent your time with your friends in the chatroom.
The time passed by and before you could realize it, it was already time to go to sleep, something you did as you couldn’t manage to stay awake until Yoosung would be back.
Slowly you closed your eyes and drifted to sleep, a light slumber yet.
The warm blanket and your soft pillow were the things you loved the most after Yoosung.
And just when you thought you were asleep, something made you jolt.
A sound, you thought.
Your eyes were wide open and you were gasping for air, trying to concentrate on whatever you just heard.
Was it Lisa? No, she was with Yoosung at the hospital.
Was it Yoosung? He wouldn’t be back yet.
And then again, a sound, things falling, and steps.
Someone was here.
From the little space between the door and the floor, you could see that the light was switched on and in that moment your body reacted on its own.
You grabbed your phone and quickly but silently walked to the bathroom in your room and hid in the shower.
No one would think something valuable would be in a bathroom, right?
With trembling hands you tried to reach Yoosung. Seeing that your messages never arrived, you switched over to 707, the man who was always online, and indeed, he was.
,,707 your hero at the start, my lovely Mc, what can I do for your private message?’’ he asked you.
But you had no time to waste and spammed him.
,,Help’’, ,,Someone broke in’’, ,,I’m in the bathroom,’’, ,,I can’t run away,’’ , ,,I’m scarede,’’ , ,,*scared, typo,’’
Praying he would help you.
,,I will be there. Call me so that I can hear what happens,’’ he said and you did.
You didn’t know how much time passed, you just knew that it was hard to breathe, fearing that they would hear you.
And then everything was louder. You could hear several voices, people yelling, and your name being called in a panic.
Yoosung.
Just when the door was opened and he held you in your arms you could manage to calm down and collapse in his arms.
,,Seven informed Jumin who immediately arrived with his men and the police and came to pick me up. Thank god we came in time,’’ he whispered with tears.
It was okay, you were okay…you were okay.
Jaehee
,,Take everything you need, I am not going to stop you or alert the police. Take either drinks, food, or money, I don’t care, I just want to stay alive,’’ you whispered to the unknown man standing in front of you.
You could see that he was in need, and hell, if he didn’t have a weapon, you would have let him eat something for free even.
You were the last person who would have kicked him out.
If he would have wanted, you would have even offered him a job or something, but he was standing in front of you with a knife, hands trembling while he ordered you to not move.
You didn’t plan on moving.
You were just thankful that Jaehee went off earlier before closing the shop and helping you to count the money because she had to pause something regarding Zen.
On the other hand, she could help you out with her Judo. Alone you were, well, fucked up.
,,I DON’T WANT TO HEAR YOU!’’ the man hissed, waving with the knife.
You were scared, but you tried to stay calm.
You also didn’t utter a word, you were just trying to understand what the man was trying to do. Did he intend to kill you, to take something, or both?
,,Everyone just looks down on me! I am not someone to pity! I will make you all pay!’’ he cried out, making you gasp.
You still couldn’t think straight, you just wanted to live.
,,Mc what is taking you so long to-’’ Jaehee didn’t have to finish her sentence to understand what was happening.
And then everything went too quickly for you to understand. The man ran towards Jaehee, who just realized that the man had a weapon in his hands.
And before she could even dodge the stab, her body reacted on its own and she fought against him with some of her cool Judo tricks, making him land straight on the floor.
,,Thank you,’’ you whispered when you saw that Jaehee took him down in less than a minute.
Her warm arms were now around you and you could feel her heart racing against your own body.
She was worried.
The police arrived and everything was solved, although the security was tightened and below the cash register a little alarm was placed so that whatever happened, the police would be alarmed.
Saeyoung
If there was something that was impossible, it was to enter through the security of a hacker, actually, two hackers and a person who worked for an odd agency once.
The three men knew a lot about security and none would have guessed that anyone could break that security.
But someone could, and this someone was none other than the agency.
Revenge, this was something they seeked for, Saeyoung was sure.
As soon as his phone alerted him that someone entered his house, his heart was racing.
His head was spinning and his palms were sweaty.
His mouth was dry and suddenly he forgot how to talk.
He lost Jihyun and Rika, who betrayed him and lied to him, took advantage of his little brother, and almost ended their future, but he finally found you and got Saeran back. It couldn’t be that someone else was about to destroy this happiness he just found.
,,Quickly they will realize that she’s sleeping!’’ Saeyoung gasped.
He didn’t know what exactly made him go out with Vanderwood and Saeran, he never went out, neither of them did.
But today they did. This was how strong your presence was, you could change the habits of three grown men. Your upcoming birthday was a reason for three introverts to leave the house and do something special.
Neither of them thought of putting you to any risk.
With his red racing car, Saeyoung arrived in a few seconds to his place, his phone never out of his sight, hoping that you would call him and tell him that you were hidden somewhere.
But nothing.
And he was scared that if he called you, your phone would ring and make you get discovered.
Feeling helpless was awful.
,,The basement window is broken! They are in!’’ he gasped and if he could have, he would have vomited right there.
,,The agency would never leave so much proof, it has to be someone else!’’ Vanderwood tried to stop the red haired man.
But he was sure they wanted revenge.
Well, the sight welcoming them was a bit different.
You were in your nightgown, a baseball bat in your hands, and a man on the floor, unconscious, with alcohol around him.
,,I finished him off,’’ you said proudly.
Gosh, Saeyoung’s legs gave up right there.
You were scolded a bit ,,What if he had a gun and shot you down? What if he wasn’t alone? Imagine if he would have gotten up again, Mc! What if…’’
Saeyoung only stopped talking when Vanderwood mentioned the problem of having an unconscious man in their house…at least you were alive and the agency kept ignoring you…

Slut!
Jumin was a handsome man. He was dashingly handsome, an eligible bachelor, smart, rich. You managed to capture his heart, however the public did not agree with his view on you. But when you're with him, the sticks and stones they throw freeze mid air, because when it's just you and him, nothing else matters.
(If you couldn't tell already this is Taylor swift inspired, I think that in today's social media climate MC would definitely be criticized simply because people were jealous that she has the one thing they wanted, or people would definitely leave hate comments of some sort. But of course, her sweet, gentle, loving husband to be would smooth the creases between her brows and soothe all her worries.)
1.5k words
Jumin was one of Korea's most famous eligible bachelors, which changed when you waltzed into his life. You seduced him, black mailed him, and had been trained to do this. That was what the media said about you after the news aired the story of Jumin proposing to you at the RFA party. It had been almost a week since then, and the media still did not stop their endless commentary on the event. Of course they did not know what really happened, they thought you were there for money, for fame, for anything besides love. You tried desperately to ignore the comments, but after public outings with your fiance   everything only got worse. More people discredited your love, they scrutinized the way you held his hand, the shoes you wore, the makeup applied to your face. It was hard to cope but here, in this moment all of that felt miles away.
The moon was full and high in the sky. It reflected off of his skin and made the pool look ethereal. You sat in Jumin's lap, his soft hands rested at your waist rubbing comforting circles there. He looked beautiful in the moonlight, his nose and dark hair made him look like a prince. You could feel him solid under your fingertips, he was real and he was yours.  You whispered and giggled amongst yourselves, sharing kisses and expensive wine while relaxing in the rooftop pool of his penthouse.
“My love, would you like to come to the office tomorrow to have lunch with me? I would love to have you there to give me motivation.” you brushed the strands of wet hair off his forehead and gave him a chaste kiss.
“I would love to babe, it's just..” you trailed off remembering the comments you heard from the women in the bathroom, ‘she's pretty average, probably looks really bad underneath the makeup, she obviously has other assets that attracted him to her if you get what I mean’ they broke out into giggles ‘yeah, she looks like a slut’ another fit of giggles.
Jumin noticed how you went quiet and moved his hands from your waist to delicately cup your cheeks.
“Darling, what's wrong? Please tell me, we can fix whatever it is.” You were hesitant to say anything, out of fear of getting someone in trouble, or making things worse with the media. You quickly smiled at him and hid in the crook between his neck and shoulder.
“Nothing, around what time would you like me to be there?”
“Are you sure? If someone at the office is saying something please tell me. I will take care of it.” Always so protective.
“It's nothing, I promise. Now what time would you like me to be there?”
“Around one, I'll have Mr. Kim come pick you up, are you sure though?”
“Yes Jumin, it's fine no one has said anything, I swear on everything I hold dear” You giggled as gave him a quick kiss and looked back while you sauntered out of the pool to get your towel. He quickly followed behind with the promise of a lovely night.
Around midday the next day you sat in your Pjs still, Jumins side of the bed had long gotten cold and it was just you scrolling through X (formerly twitter). You sat chewing your lip as you read another ridiculous article. You knew they were never good, but some small part of you hoped that someone would write a good article, that could show just even a bit of how much love you and Jumin shared. So sometimes you would stick around and read them, this one was about your age difference. You were 20 and he was 27 although the age gap was not illegal to many it seemed strange, almost predatory on his part, and definitely fetishizing on your part, according to them. When you first fell for each other you didn't consider the seven years between your ages. It was a big talking point for the media unfortunately. Your phone dinged with a notification, snapping you out of your thoughts. Mr. Kim was downstairs waiting and you had been so caught up in the article that you completely lost track of time. You text back a quick apology and explanation before you rush to get ready.
When you arrived to C&R there were a couple of paparazzi already gathered at the door. You felt like sobbing, how did they know about this?
Mr. Kim quickly came by to open your door and shield you from the harsh questions from the reporters and from the dizzying lights of the cameras.
“Mrs. Han, what are you wearing?”
“Mrs. Han, how much do you hope to get out of Jumin Han after your divorce ?” Your heart broke in two pieces.
“Mrs. Han, what do you think about E!News calling you a slut?” Your heart shattered in a million pieces. Tears pooled in your eyes as you walked through the grand glass doors. Jaehee had come down to greet you and as soon as you saw her, you threw yourself in her arms, sobbing.
“What happened, are you alright?” She repeatedly said your name to no avail as tears continued to flow down. She led you to the elevator where she separated herself from you and began to ask questions.
“Do you know who could have possibly sent the paparazzi? What did they say?” After being unsuccessful in her attempts to ask you questions she simply wrapped her arms around you. “You know Mr. Han will have this swiftly handled. I'm sorry this is happening.” The elevator suddenly dinged and you were aware of the fact that you had 5 seconds to make it look like you just hadn't been sobbing. You loved Jumin and the fact that he was so protective of you, but the last thing you needed was him fussing over this, he was already so busy. Your attempts at looking presentable failed and the door opened to reveal Jumin with a soft smile on his face, which quickly warped to worry upon seeing your disheveled state.
“My love, darling, what happened? Are you alright? Did someone hurt you?” He came to sweep you out of Jaehees arms and swiftly ran his hands on your body. He studied your face as you studied his worried expression.
“Mr. Han, there was paparazzi at the front, I'm assuming it had something to do with that.”
     “Thank you Jaehee, you're dismissed.”
Jumin led you into his office, you saw the beautiful layout of food the chef had prepared but none of it seemed appetizing. How could they ask you that? How could they basically wish on the downfall of your marriage before it even happened?
“They asked me how much money I wanted to get out of you after our divorce, Jumin…were not even married, how horrible is that?” your voice came out suddenly, barely above a whisper. He quickly came to wrap his arms around you. His warmth was all around you and for a second everything stopped. You could feel his hair tickle the top of your and the scent of his cologne.
“My beautiful angel, I hate to see you cry like this, it makes my heart ache. Please do not listen to them, I will love you forever.” He brushed a stray tear off of your face. You sniffed and buried yourself into him further. “Let's go home okay? I'll take the rest of the day off.” You barely heard what he was saying as he called Jaehee to tell her that he would be taking the rest of the day off, you were too busy trying to get the paparazzis words out of your head.
When you both arrived home Jumin took your coat and purse and guided you into the bedroom. With soft hands and gentle words of affirmation he helped you into your pjs and into bed. He crawled in behind you, he placed your head on his chest. You could feel and hear his heart beating, through all of the horrible thoughts going through your head about what had happened, his heart beat, steady and true, was the one thing that could cut through the noise. You felt his hands smoothing down your hair. You felt at peace for once this entire day, you felt warm and comforted in his arms.
“You will always be the light of my life, no matter what people say, no matter what  they wish for us, my love for you will never change ” You looked up to meet his eyes and saw nothing but adoration in them.
“I know Jumin, you're not the problem, it's what they say. It always gets to me unfortunately, but whenever I'm with you I know it's all worth it.” You warmly smiled up at him. You felt complete and whole, in this moment here. No one could take him from you, No one could take you from him. You could feel him rubbing comforting circles on your back, until you drifted off, feeling wholeheartedly content, that he was to be yours for the rest of eternity and that no matter what people said he would always be coming home to you, and you to him.

Walk me down the Aisle
Mcs father isn't able to walk her down the aisle and when Jumins dad hears about this he has a suggestion.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
"Ok," Jaehee said looking down at the planner the two of you had set up for your wedding.
"Now who are we gonna ask to walk you down the aisle?"
You winced and leaned back into the sofa. Currently you two were at the penthouse, with Jaehee being the maid of honor and in constant need of rest you decided to plan at a comfortable place and with Jumin gone for the week it was a perfect place for you both to plan.
"He's not gonna be able to get out." You say looking at her, her softened expression makes you turn away before the tears start to form.
"I see.." Jaehee says before scribbling the word from the list.
"Now.." Mc see says, "What would you like to wear as my maid of honor?"
Jaehee laughs and speaks, "Nothing to revealing."
"What about a dress with Zens face on it?"
Jaehee goes bright red and you can't help but laugh, she starts to do the same and has trouble catching her breath before saying.
"Absolutely not."
Your phone rings and you see its your lover, you answer the phone and put it on speaker.
"Hello my love." You say to Jumin.
"Hello my wife."
You smile at his words a flush forming on your cheeks.
"Are you and Assistant Kang planning the wedding still?"
With how close you and Jaehee we're becoming Jumin did try to call her Ms. Kang or Jaehee but they both found it too awkward and were a little uncomfortable with it.
"Yes we're almost done with our side of the list. How are you and V coming along with yours?"
"We're progressing slowly, do you want Zen as a bridesman or would you be alright if I asked him to be a groomsman?"
"I'll be alright with whatever you choose. Though whichever one of us take Seven he's going to wear a dress weather we like it or not."
You can see him rubbing his temples through the phone and you giggle, Jaehee beside you rolling her eyes.
"I might kill him for that." Jumin says.
You giggle turns into a bark of laughter and you can't see it but he's smiling at the sound of your voice.
"I'll be home tomorrow my love. One more day."
"Ah you shouldn't have told me I'll be waiting all night for your plane now."
Jumin chuckles and says:
"I'd rather you have enough energy for our activities tomorrow."
Jaehee nearly spits out her wine, she looks at you with wide eyes and you shake your head frantically.
"I have to go now MC please sleep well tonight. I love you."
"I love you too." You say before he hangs up.
For a moment the two of you are very quiet before Jaehee says;
"Activities huh?"
"IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!"
The next afternoon Driver Kim picks you up at the penthouse, when you go down into the car you see Mr. Han in the car with a bright smile.
"Hello mc!" Your soon to be father in law says.
"Hello Mr. Han." You say friendly but formally. You enter the car and Mr. Han speaks as Mr. Kim shuts the door.
"Oh now don't call me that," he says, "Please call dad or father."
"Yes sir, I mean yes dad or, yes father." You say nervously.
He laughs and you two fall into polite conversation. The current plan is to wait for Jumin to come to the car completely unaware that you two were picking him up.
You two sit and wait anxiously searching for him in the crowd Mr. Han can't help but admire the way you look for his son. Young love, he fondly remembers the way he once felt.
"He's coming!" You say excitedly.
Mr. Kim opens Jumins side and once Jumin sees you in the car his face breaks out into a grin.
"Hi!" You say breathlessly.
"God I missed you." Jumin says stepping, the door closing behind him. He kisses your lips quickly the promise of more later, then turns to his father.
"How was the trip son?" Mr. Han asks.
"Successful." Jumin says, "I'm proud of the work that was put in."
"Did you have fun?" He asks. "Perhaps you should take MC next time so you can enjoy yourself."
Jumin looks over at you with a small smile.
"It would increase my enjoyment of the trip but I'm afraid that MC would be a distraction and that I wouldn't be able to give them the attention they need."
"I think you could." Mr. Han says, "You've always been able to surprise yourself."
Jumin is taken aback by the compliment but merely nods.
"So what all has been planned for the wedding? MC are your parents coming to walk you down the aisle?"
Jumin reaches over and clutches your hand instinctively, you take a deep breath and straighten your posture.
"My mother I'm afraid has..prior engagements and my father.. he's incarcerated.. and while he was supposed to get out recently it appears his sentence has been...lengthened."
Mr. Han is quiet for a moment, Jumin tenses, ready to defend you until you two have to walk or perhaps even wait in a shop while Mr. Kim takes his father home then comes back to retrieve you both, but Mr. Han simply says:
"Your father I understand but your mother? You're her child! Getting married! And she can't come to see you?! Surely she must be joking."
You shake your head;
"She sends her regrets and promises to make it up."
Mr. Han scoffs and shakes his head.
"My dear I'm so..so sorry this is incredibly heartbreaking and if you'll let me I'll walk you down the aisle if you wish. Actually I'll walk you and Jumin down the Aisle."
"Father-" Jumin begins.
"I'll not hear another word, it's decided. You're both my children and I won't have anything spoil your day."
Tears fill your eyes and you simply nod at Mr. Han. A smile breaks out on your face as you work to wipe away the escaped tears.
"Thank you dad."

Cheritzverse Timeline~
* This is only to show the dates and the way all this is linked (the information is already established through these games, so I'm only keeping track of what they say but not if the game is in a different Timeline, or Space, for more on this topic please check out my Beyond The Planets post.
If anyone has different ideas, is welcomed to share those by reblogging it. Screenshots and evidence will be necessary to be credited.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2006 -
2008 ~ Before Dandelion Events
♡ Heejung moves from Seoul to Busan
2009
2010 ~ Beginnings of Mint Eye
♡ Sally (Rika's dog) dies here or beginnings of 2011
♡ During June's Route (set around 2013) is said the RFA is still a work in progress. But we know Mint Eye started before. While this is a little theory I have... what if Mint Eye starts when you're dating Zen (remember Rika was a fan of Zen? Just saying~)
♡ It's usually said that the first years of any kind of project are hard~ and we see Mint Eye believers starting to gather power throughout The Ssum. Which is why I have settled Mint Eye beginnings around this time. Still need to decide the actual date though.
♡ Check the first year of Mystic Messenger Timeline. Come back.
♡ Possible beginnings of 2011 or lasts months of 2010 but the Dr Cus was kidnapped. According to JJ, 2 years before~ although considering Henri's timeline, it's not necessarily here. But from here till the end of 2011 at least. If you can find more clues~ it'd be very helpful. You're gonna be credited ofc.
2011 ~ 2013: The Ssum & Nameless (In Between)
* I believe The Ssum events start a bit before The Ssum.
2011
♡ It is said during Mystic Messenger that Zen has been without a girlfriend for 5 years. And to add to it: The Ssum (Teo route) says that Zen was your ex boyfriend.
If we take Mystic Messenger and The Ssum work together, Zen definitely was our ex boyfriend before Mystic Messenger. For those who don't understand why he doesn't remember us, it's implied during Epiphany (Zen's DLC, April Fools Day) that he was trapped inside.
Then several chat rooms and calls during Casual and Deep Story suggest that Zen does remember but only certain parts and that he only remembers everything by the time MC has picked a LI which makes it impossible for him to butt in, so instead he tries to steer things in the right direction for us to have a happy ending. An example of this~ a call with Zen before things started to get serious with Jumin, said that he dreamt of us being trapped inside a cage.
2011 ~ 2012 Dandelion Events
♡ Heejung's father escaped with an artist, and young woman. Dandelion.
♡ Rika meets V.
♡ Unsure if it's during 2011 or 2012 but~ Rika and V engagement.
♡ Nameless Events
2013 ~ The Ssum Events
Check The Ssum Timeline
♡ Jaehee barely started to work for Jumin during this TL (2013, around June or July) and Elizabeth the 3rd escaped for Teo to take care of her during one day. I believe that even though it's implied that Jumin Han was the owner, he was not yet officially the owner of the cat.
Theory: However, the more I think about these events, this escape seems to be part of some training Elizabeth the 3rd received from part of Mint Eye. I saw a post here on Tumblr (wish I could find it) saying that Elizabeth the 3rd might have been abducted and lured with a whistle. But what if in addition to that, she was trained too? While it's difficult to train cats, it's not entirely impossible. I think part of it also explains why she was so easy to capture if she bonded with Saeran and Rika first.
* Teo Route starts at least some months or weeks before we see Jaehee, this settles the story beginnings of 2013. Remember Jaehee said she had been working for Jumin 2 years and a half in 2016. For continuity issues, I would settle Teo Route around November or December 2012 and Jaehee something around beginnings of 2013, giving enough time to Harry's route. June and Henri need to be play together:
Teo entire route [beginnings of 2013]
Harry till day 200 [2013 till 2014]
June season 1 (30 days) ~ Harry Day 230
Henri s1 and June s2 ft. Harry Day 260
*There might be a time where you're dating Teo and Harry at the same time, even the options suggest it as a choice. This can be why the Angel confronts you about it.
♡ Mint Eye makes several attempts to drag Teo.
Tumblr media
^^;; please don't mind my wall~ i'm painting behind and that's why it looks a bit weird. Now let's make a close up~
♡ During June's Route (set around 2013) is said the RFA is still a work in progress. But we know Mint Eye started before.
Yes. I put the same text twice. It helps to create an idea of when things are happening.
Tumblr media
♡ Slightly mentioning Unicorn Drugs because I'm working on tracking the drugs they give to us or to the LIs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Theories on why probably June's wasn't mentioned before:
1. His condition and S.Korean society around these topics. Best example of this? Rika and Saeran. Not confirmed but implied during June's Route, when he goes to the wedding.
2. Possible death.
3. On a more cheerful note, he probably is still alive but people don't talk about him because of how that affects Jumin Han and Chairman Han reputation. And of course, the C&R. Confirmed: June is an illegitimate son. Carolyn had it out of wedlock, had an affair with June's dad. And went to Chairman Han to ask for help. The nerve of this woman 😳
Take it with grain of salt but ^^;; June's father was a singer?
♡ Heejung's father escaped with an artist, and young woman. Dandelion.
♡ Carolyn (Jumin's and June's mom) was said to be an artist, singer? She had an affair with June's father, abandoned Jumin's and Chairman Han, tried to make June look like he was Chairman's son but ended up divorcing him and marrying June's dad. The Ssum.
In the end I don't think any of these events are mutually exclusive but inclusive. And if things don't make sense yet, don't worry, I'm covering a relationship chart soon~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, Harry knows Seven. June and Jumin are half-brothers. June and Henri know each other. Henri hates Jumin but works for him lol and Henri's dad works for Chairman Han. Yeah all this is connected in a way or another.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To understand why I'm talking about Another Story as Part 1 and Part 2~ you guys need to check out my Mystic Messenger TL.
BTW~ I'm suspecting a connection between Harry (since his parents are basically bullies and kind of gangsta and laundering money through art~) V, Jumin and Rika. All through The Muse collection.
Like I said to @cherrychipheart once, looking at the background of Dandelion, I could see some V pictures behind the gallery where Heejung works. So this is a personal theory I have but~ I believe that The Ssum is the story of MC before disappearing, cause she's being captured for Mint Eye. TBH after playing Dandelion I have trust issues with every character within the Cheritzverse lol
And I have yet to finish it ╥﹏╥
There's a full moon behind Saeran and MC pic too~
How come the Angel has chosen the moon as his symbol? And why Harry placed a moon on his profile picture right after we broke up? Does anyone remembers the Angel call before that day? He was basically calling us and being all scary in a similar style to Unknown. Does any of this sounds more like The Wizard than Unknown? Because it does to me. But that's for another topic. Yes, I'm already onto "The Angel" and working full time on it.
2016 ~ Mystic Messenger Timeline
♡ 2016 includes Casual and Deep as whole. But remember the events in Jumin's trigger Saeran's AE and Saeyoung's route too. That proposal to MC was too public for the twins.
* Because of time travel, Mystic Messenger is a non linear story, which means you need to pick upon clues here and there to understand where the timeline goes. The other games have a similar issue but not as pronounced as this.
*Notes: I already ran out of space for images so if any other thing or piece of information is dropped, I'll create a second part, however this should cover the basics. Also, if additional info comes up~ i'll update it!

Cupid Parasite Sweet and Spicy Darling Review
Tumblr media
This is the first time I’m playing a game as soon as it comes out! I’m super excited since I just finished the original game this week. I love fandiscs since I love fluff. This does have a new character though, so I’m curious to see what that’s like, but definitely more excited for the main guys.
Merenice
Tumblr media
I decided to start with the new guy to get him out of the way. I typically don’t like new routes in these fandiscs, but I’m willing to give it a shot. From what I’ve read he can see people’s future, which is very cool. But kind of like Edward from Twilight, MC is the only person whose future he can’t see, which grabs his attention. I’m hoping this route will be fun.
Honestly I wanted to like this route, and I tried to have an open mind, but I couldn’t get into it. I just don’t like it when they introduce new characters you can romance that weren’t in the original game, and it just felt so rushed and out of place. HOWEVER, this gave us the closest we’ll ever get to an Owen route, and I’m through the roof with joy. The Owen Ending was so good, I love Owen 😭, it’s a crime they didn’t give him a full route in the original game or this one.
Gill
Tumblr media
I decided to play the original guys in case order, so that means we start with Gill. Which works for me because I actually liked Gill in the original game (although I now know that not everyone shares my sentiment). Right away, I already noticed the music in this route is much better than the first one I did, which is kind of a relief. When I was playing Merenice’s route I thought the music was way worse than the first game, which made me depressed, but I’m starting to think maybe it was just a his route thing.
I love Gill. No surprise, I really enjoyed his route in this game too. I love how crazy he is, like the things he builds is so nerdy, and sweet, and insane, it’s just so great. I also got some good laughs from his route. Being in an Agape-Agape relationship irl, I really loved when they talked about how self-sacrificing love isn’t the same as straining/suffering for your love, rather it’s being willing to give up certain things mutually and it’s satisfying to love each other like that.
I did play all three endings since I wasn’t sure what to expect. But Sweet and Spicy = Best Ending, Sweet = Normal Ending, and Spicy = Bad Ending, based on what I saw. So I probably won’t do anymore Spicy Endings, as I tend to not like bad endings, but Gill’s Spicy End was very similar to the vibes from that popular Jumin Bad Ending and DLC.
I also really loved his short stories! I love getting to see the male lead’s perspective and thoughts in otome games and books. So it was super fun to get into Gill’s head again and see more of his past.
Shelby
Tumblr media
Next up is Case 2, Mr. Shelby Snail himself. Unfortunately he was my least favorite in the original game, so I can’t say I’m super excited. But honestly, I still think his will be cute since at least they are already married. I just need him to not act like a wimp like last game lol.
Okay, this was actually surprisingly fun. As someone who Shelby is my least favorite love interest, I still had such a blast playing his route. It had so many funny scenes, and was just overall so fun to play. I love how real yet hilarious many of the situations in this route were. Like they had a fight, they had doubts, they had *cough* problems in the bedroom *cough*, and it was so funny and entertaining to play. I am a little bummed we didn’t get a SS Cupid joke, since new Cupid’s initials are also SS, but overall super fun to play. I’m pleasantly surprised!
Raul
Tumblr media
Next up is Raul! I’m excited since I liked his original route a lot, and he’s about tied with Gill as far as me loving the character. I’m excited to see what we have in his route, I’m sure it’ll be extra fun since we have the whole him being a celebrity trope, plus he knows she’s Cupid. So I’m sure this will be super fun!
Oh my gosh I love Raul so much 😭💕. Raul and MC are just so cute together, and I love their dynamic so much. This route was just so fun. It had so many moments that had me laughing so hard, and others that had me tearing up because it was so sweet. Raul is so wholesome and sweet, which is so counter to the trope he plays. But I love him and his himbo golden retriever energy. I also think the plot for this one was so ridiculous and fun to play. Plus I love his reaction to meeting her dad. Everything was just so sweet.
Ryuki
Tumblr media
Let’s go! It’s my favorite from the first game, I love Ryuki and his route so much 🥹💕. I’m so excited to get to play his route in the Fandisc! I hope we get to see him get all flustered again, but I also would love to see him be a little jealous again😅. He’s so cute, and I’m sure I’m going to love this route!
Ryuki is so cute, I can’t 😭💕. As I suspected I loved this route, Ryuki was just as cute as usual, and him and MC have such a cute and authentic “young love” vibe. It’s just so cute and sweet, it was so fun to play! Also when he dyed his hair back to its natural color, that really got to me, I can’t explain why but it got to me. He’s so amazing! Don’t even get me started on his bonus episodes 😭 ahhh I love him so much!!!
Allan
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, I’m not super excited for this route. Given I didn’t like Allan that much in the original, I have a feeling I probably won’t love this route. However, I did enjoy Shelby’s in this game, so maybe if this route is funny I can at least enjoy that. I’d also enjoy if they gave MC a bigger change in appearance given she’s a demon now, because the original kinda felt like a cop-out, but I guess we’ll see.
So, I don’t like being a hater, especially since I know Allan is popular, so I’ll try to keep it short. I did not like this route at all. It was not enjoyable for me, I couldn’t get into it and it felt like it was dragging on forever. I just didn’t have any fun, the time skip makes it so we can’t see any of the characters we know in the game which is a bummer, and honestly them living forever just triggered my existential dread of dying. I’m glad she finally looked like a demon at some point, but honestly I just couldn’t get into it. If you like angsty stuff and love Allan you’d probably like it, but I just don’t. The Orpheus and Eurydice parallel also made me upset as someone who loves that myth, because Orpheus turns around BECAUSE his love is so strong, so I didn’t like the implication that somehow Allan’s love is so strong he wouldn’t turn around. Like that’s not the flex the writers think it is, I also didn’t like that Satan plot. They also did my boy Robin dirty in this route. I don’t know, maybe I’m alone here, but this just wasn’t it for me.
Peter
Tumblr media
Last route! Let’s go! I’m excited for Peter’s route, he was my second favorite in the original game and so I think I’ll probably enjoy this route. I think it’ll be fun to get to see more of them being Jupiter and Juno, plus Peter is such a cutie I’m sure it’ll be good.
This was a good route! I didn’t love some of the later plot, but I love Peter and so it was enjoyable. He’s so sweet and I love his relationship with MC, it’s such a unique dynamic. I thought it was really enjoyable and fits well as a last route to play for the game.
Overall
I think I really enjoyed this fandisc for the most part. I liked pretty much all the routes, with two making me genuinely laugh a ton. A lot of the CGs were really good too, and it’s fun to see a more domestic life for the couples. However I didn’t like the music as much as the first game, it wasn’t bad, but the first game had such iconic songs that really captured each character and moment. I don’t feel like the music this game felt as special, and there was this sound and song that played that would get on my nerves so bad. But even with the music, I still think the game was super fun. I also loved Robin and his character a bunch. For some reason he reminded me of Yamato from My Forged Wedding, which is my first otome husband, so that made me like Robin even more. Honestly kind of wish we got a Robin or Owen route instead of Merenice. I think if you liked the first game and its humor you’ll probably love this game.
It was really fun getting to play a game when it released, and I’m glad I could post this but too long after. As of now I only played the Sweet and Spicy endings, if I go back and play the other endings later I’ll post an update! Next review will probably be a while until I post it since I’m going to be pretty busy soon.
But I’d love to hear your thoughts on this game if you’ve played it yet.

Mystictober Day 11-- Doll/Heart
Saeyoung teaches you and Saeran how to make dolls (771 words).
“What do you think, my love?” Saeran asks, holding up the mermaid plushie for you to observe. The hair isn’t quite finished yet, but otherwise, the toy is very well-made.
“Oh, it’s so cute,” you beam. It’s clear that Saeran has taken great care in sewing and stuffing his doll. You particularly like the iridescent fabric that he used for the mermaid’s tail. “I’m sure the kids will be happy to play with it once they notice.”
At the moment, the entire population of the orphanage is absolutely captivated by Saeyoung. As part of his volunteer work (now that he no longer works for the agency, he has a great deal of time on his hands, and has been putting the vast majority toward community service), he’s been teaching the residents how to carry out various crafts. This week’s lesson is in dollmaking, and Saeyoung invited you and Saeran to attend and help the kids gain courage in working at something so difficult.
“I wonder where he learned to do this,” Saeran muses, carefully sewing the yarn hair onto his doll. He’s apparently elected to go for a rainbow of colors, which is sweet, but the task itself looks somewhat tedious, considering how often he needs to switch yarns.
“I overheard him telling the kids that he studied with Santa Claus at the North Pole,” you report. Your own doll is not coming along half as well as Saeran’s— the stitches were a touch uneven, so your attempt to stuff the vaguely heart-shaped plushie did not go over well. Right now, you’re focused on giving your creation a friendly face, so as not to scare the children.
“What?” Saeran laughs good-naturedly. “I never heard that before.”
“It’s true,” Saeyoung materializes beside your table. For the benefit— and amusement— of the children, he’s speaking in his 707 voice. While he’s gotten comfortable existing just as Saeyoung around his family and friends, he’s much less confident around strangers, and occasionally defaults to his old persona. To his credit, this way of speaking does elicit lots of giggles from the kids. “I went there hoping I could train to become a Christmas elf, but Santa told me I was too tall. He agreed to teach me how to make toys, though, since he didn’t want me to be sad.”
A cluster of nearby kids giggles. “You should talk to Jumin about getting yourself a spot on the Children’s Network,” you advise.
“Does C&R… own the Children’s Network?” Saeran asks, adding a pink hair to the head of his doll.
Truth be told, you have no idea, but you wouldn’t be surprised. “C&R owns most things,” you shrug.
“They said I’m too tall for that, too,” Saeyoung pretends to lament.
You snort, and Saeran giggles. “Maybe they could give the spot to me, then,” he muses, “I know how to make dolls, and I’m shorter than you are.” “Wow,” Saeyoung examines the mermaid, “Nice work, Saeran.” He then redirects his attention to your creation. “And MC… good effort.” You can’t help but laugh. “Shut up. Mine is cute.”
“If the kids don’t want it, I’ll take it home and play with it,” Saeran jokes.
“Of course the kids will want it,” Saeyoung tells his brother off, “It was made with love.”
“Thanks! How do you get the eyes to be the same size?” You ask, too focused on your project to internalize the compliment.
“Mr. Saeyoung!” A child calls from across the room. “Could you show me how to do the hair again, please?”
“Oh, so cute,” Saeran observes quietly. You can’t help but agree. The kid’s polite phrasing is adorable.
“You’ll figure it out, MC,” Saeyoung assures you with a pat on the arm. “I trust your creativity.”
“Okay,” you’re not so sure, but you know Saeyoung means well. “Thank you.”
When his brother is gone, Saeran turns toward you. “Would you like some help, my love, or would you prefer to figure it out on your own?”
Saeran is always checking in like this, making certain that he knows what your boundaries are to ensure he doesn’t cross them. You really appreciate this about him.
“Please help me,” you give him the biggest eyes you can muster. You really want to make a nice doll for the kids.
“Of course, my angel.” Saeran sets down his doll— which looks like it’s almost finished— and reaches for yours. “I’ll show you what I did for mine. Then I’ll pull out the stitch and let you try it for yourself. Watch closely, okay?”
You are so head-over-heels in love with this man. “Okay.”

A THOUSAND KISSES DEEP
reader x yoosung | part one
summary: reader escapes rika’s apartment before the bomb goes off in yoosung’s bad ending 1. this uses his dialogue from the game.
author’s note: why am i obsessed with bad endings? i’ll never know! the mc’s personality is derived from how they were in that route. had this in my drafts for a minute, i don't know who'll be her end game, just take this as some angst!!
ps. chatroom formatting probably looks cuter on mobile devices
trigger warnings: major character death
word count: 1,444
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
You technically met Yoosung Kim last week.
The same could be said for the entire RFA. Jumin Han, V, 707, Jaehee Kang, and Zen. You've learned that the RFA is short for Rika’s Fundraising Association. You started texting them after receiving mysterious messages from an Unknown contact to go to the apartment you'd start living in. Yet you haven't met any of them in person.
Being separated by a phone screen didn't stop you from pursuing Yoosung. He's a cute SKY University student around your age. His inexperience kindled the spark between you two. You couldn't have been expected to pass up the opportunity! Not when he was clearly desperate for a partner. As were you. Your self esteem was in the gutters and the loneliness within you had become so voluminous as of late. The RFA has helped out with that.
Chatting with the RFA throughout your day wasn't difficult. Although planning their next party had its challenges. They helped you with whatever they could. Mostly with recommending guests while you picked the theme and most everything else. The best part? You were getting paid for your services.
In short: plenty of unexpected things happened to you this week. Most of them being new beginnings for yourself and the RFA. Yoosung showing up to the apartment by himself proved itself to be the most unexpected.
Intruder found. Special security system attack mode initiated.
“Did you hear that?” Your eyes wandered the room.
The bomb. You remembered it, well, you didn't forget about it either. It terrified you and made it difficult for you to get a full night's worth of sleep. No RFA member was supposed to enter this apartment—707 was still working to deactivate it. Your throat suddenly felt tight. Instead of feeling excitement upon meeting Yoosung, terror swamped your senses instead. Every fiber in your body yelled that you run. There's still time to get out of here.
Yoosung paid no attention to your words nor the alarm. “Reader … But you’re not blond like Rika … ?”
Sensing location of intruder … adjusting target …
“You cannot be serious! I was kidding about that.” You yelled, your eyes saucer-wide.
Is this his truly greatest concern? Your hair wasn't made up of the same lion's mane of loose curls as Rika’s was. Regardless, the ticking bomb that's about to go off was of more importance, to you, it seemed.
He stared at you with his large violet eyes, a cloud of confusion passing over his face. He looked exactly like the photographs he’s shared in the messenger. Short blond hair that pointed in every direction, a lithe build, and baby-faced. Your heart thrashed against your ribcage, thumping at a terrible pace. If you didn't start moving, you'd faint. Or worse, you'd die.
“And you don’t have her eye color … Your hands and face look different too … Is it really you, Reader?”
You answered with a shaky nod. “Yes! It’s me! I’m not some doppelgänger or any other look-alike. None of that matters, we need to get out of here, Yoosung.”
This changed from what you said in the messenger earlier. You spoke about how you'd need to become like Rika in order to be someone special to him. It shocked you to know he processed all of those texts you sent. For some reason, that made you like him even more than you did before.
Orders to destroy all information for the sake of protection. Activating system destruction.
“Oh … I’m sorry. I guess I just thought that you’d look exactly like Rika. But you don’t.”
You were beside yourself with frustration. “I still own you. That means we'll do what I say, let's go.” You slipped your arm through his elbow and yanked him toward the door.
It was mostly your fault for why he’d come to such assumptions. You told him that you'd be his Rika and replace her. Still, they made you a little queasy. Physically being here with him felt different than typing letters on a screen. You felt a connection to him.
“We’re not going anywhere! I ran over here because no one in the RFA helped Rika when she took her life away.” He wrenched himself out of your tight hold.
15 seconds left … 14 seconds …
Stand here and listen to his spiel, or run now and have a chance at living? You told him that you'd take care of him. That he'd be your pet and that's what you wanted. In the face of life and death, you knew what to do. You weren’t going to die for someone who looked at you with disdain for not matching their cousin in appearance. Someone who barely knew or liked you. Two days ago, you would have done anything to be accepted by him and be in charge of his life. The truth is, you barely knew Yoosung beyond the color green, LOLOL, and Rika.
Dying wasn't worth it. Not here, your life has just started.
“Yoosung, come with me. Running here won't matter if you don't run now! We’ll talk about everything after.” He looked unphased by your words, as if they held no weight to him.
Throwing one final glance at Yoosung, you darted out of Rika’s apartment as quick as a shooting star. You could only hope that he's shortly behind. Your heartbeat thrummed in your ears while the sounds of your footsteps pounded with them. Or they might've been his footsteps, listening to what you had to say after all.
Taking the elevator would've been a foolish decision. You ran down the hallways, knowing that 707 watched them through the CCTV. That explained the notification that made your phone buzz in the back pocket of your pants. It had to wait. You made it to a large stairwell that descended to the lower floors. Did V really have to purchase an apartment on the 14th?
Sucking in a breath, you headed down the staircase. You ran down the stairs faster than you knew that you could. The seconds counted down in your mind until a loud bang issued from behind you, startling you enough to fall. You hit the ground hard. Even with your eyes squeezed closed, you saw the light of fire beyond your eyelids.
None of this would've happened if he listened to you. You held your consciousness and managed to get to the 1st floor. When you got down there, firemen were making their way up, up, up. Sirens and screams glided to your ears as you fled the building.
A cold breeze lanced into you. From your peripheral vision, you saw ambulances, more fire trucks, and police cars coming down the streets. Nighttime stretched over the sky, littering it with glittering stars and fluffy see-through clouds. When you lifted your eyes up to Rika's apartment, there were fat tendrils of smoke rising into the air from the building's roof, like a soul ascending from their body.
“Yoosung! Yoosung, you idiot!” Your scream got gobbled up by the street’s cacophony. Tears pricked your eyes and you let them slide down your face. His death is on your shoulders. That's if he died. But you couldn't see a way that he could've survived.
You held yourself, squeezing your upper arms. Interviewers raced to the scene with their cameras and microphones. Your neighbors sprinted outside with some of their belongings, their mouths gaping. That's when it hit you that you only brought one thing.
“Do you know what's going on, Reader?” A woman with watery eyes asked. You bumped into her once in the lobby and talked about the weather.
You watched the flames. “I …” You wet your dry lips. “I need to go.”
Walking to the nearest alleyway, you whipped out your phone. The app was bursting with messages, most of the RFA members are active.

Faye!!! Congrats on your two years 🎉 I'm so so incredibly happy that we met through good old Mysme I could CRY fr. You are so special to me!!
So I was thinking for a while but didn't want the slots to go, so I'm gonna come outta nowhere and SHOCK HORROR not pick either of my two husbands, Jumin or Zen.
But how about number 30, confiding in them, with Vanderwood. The little tease we got in V's route just made me smitten at the time. He literally is thrust into the RFA drama and I can't help but feel he'd connect with MC. Like lord help us Vandy, wtf is going on.
Tumblr media
Lola! Thank you so much for your message! I'm so grateful to have met you, you mean so much to me and I wish only the best for you <3
I'm pleasantly surprised by your request! It's a good event when I can write more than one fic for Vandy.
Picture this: It's V's route, Seven has saved you from Mint Eye, now you, V Seven and Vandy are in the cabin. Your relationship with V is.... not really existent at this point so this fic could be romantic when you squint hehehe
Love ya <3

Confiding in Them

Time in the cabin feels like it has slowed down to a crawl. It is dark outside, and eerily silent. Inside, there are only the sounds of footsteps back and forth across the floorboards, and V’s harsh breathing in the next room. The repetitive nature of the noises has only added to the liminal feeling.
You had reassured the others that you weren’t tired, and then promptly fallen asleep on the sofa, still sitting upright with your jacket draped over your shoulders. When your eyes opened again, you weren’t sure how long you’d been asleep for, or where your dreams ended and reality began. Your life lately has been so strange, it has been hard to keep track. You had dreamt of car chases and cult initiations, the faces and voices of your loved ones so close and yet out of reach. How was that any different to what you had experienced over the last week?
Someone had covered you with a spare blanket when you were asleep, as well as lit a fire in the fireplace opposite you. It was warm, and you were still disoriented from sleep, so you stayed put, wrapping the blanket tighter around yourself and watching the fire dance over the logs.
You allow yourself, maybe for the first time, to process the fact that you managed to get away from Mint Eye and everything they had planned for you. In the (relative) silence of the cabin, with everyone else occupied, it starts to sink in. Back there, with a part of you constantly in fight or flight, it was hard to process the reality of your situation. You were just trying to survive. Now that you’re safe, it all hits at once.
The isolated compound, the flowery pink room, the wardrobe full of clothes made to your measurements. Ray, monitoring your conversations with the RFA, his kindness that teetered on the brink of desperation. The minty blue of his eyes, too vibrant to be natural. The silence in the hallways, so unsettling for a building so full of people.
“Oh, you’re awake.”
You jump and turn your head towards the speaker. You were too caught up in your own thoughts to hear him approach you.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you,” Vanderwood says. To his credit, he does actually look apologetic.
His voice is quiet, deep, and still unfamiliar to you. You have grown used to the voices of the different RFA members, have even started to find a certain comfort in hearing them. On the other hand, he is still practically a stranger to you.
You had very briefly met Vanderwood when he first got to the cabin to help Seven, but you had said little to each other since.
“It’s okay. I’m just a bit jumpy, I guess.”
“From what I’ve seen tonight and what Seven told me – which isn’t much, mind you - that’s not surprising.”
Seven has been keeping an eye on Vanderwood since he entered with a vaguely threatening air you haven’t yet seen from him, reminiscent of someone keeping their attack dog on a short leash.
“What did Seven tell you?”
He joins you on the sofa, sighing deeply before answering. He has been at V’s bedside, tending to him in his terrible state, since arriving, and he has good reason to be tired.
“He has kept most of the story from me. I know that that guy back there has been fed more different drugs than I’ve ever seen before and that you’re his…?” He leaves it open-ended and throws you a meaningful look. He’s still trying to fill the holes in his story.
“Don’t look at me, I don’t even know what we are.” Thinking about V too much makes you scared all over again, so you change the subject. “What else do you know?”
“Nothing except that you were there with them. He’s smart enough to keep RFA stuff away from agency stuff most of the time. I guess desperate times call for desperate measures, though.”
“You can say that again.”
You sound wearier than you mean to. The longer you think about everything, the more ridiculous it all sounds. You watch as a log cracks in the fireplace with a satisfying pop and feel Vanderwood turn to assess you for a moment.
“And who are you in all of this?”
“That’s a long story.”
“And I am a very good listener. Literally, it’s part of my job.”
You laugh. He doesn’t.
“Really, I feel like I haven’t talked to a single person since I arrived - Seven doesn’t count. I need a change of scenery.”
It isn’t that his voice softens, but he sounds like he’s choosing his words more intentionally this time he speaks. It makes him sound more sincere. Maybe that’s what encourages you to indulge him. Or maybe, you just need someone to help ground you now that you feel like you’ve detached from reality.
“Well, I was sort of… kidnapped and held hostage in this cult?”
His eyebrows disappearing into his fringe is the only thing that gives away his surprise. He scans you once over, a well-practiced look. He’s looking for any obvious damage.
“I’m fine, you say quickly, “Seven managed to save me before anything really bad could happen.”
He nods. “You can trust him with these things.” He thinks for a moment, before quickly adding, like a sudden thought that came into his mind “were you with the hacker?”
“Yeah.”
“You met him? What was he like?”
The questions tumble out of his mouth faster than he can stop them. Is this what he sounds like when he’s excited? You had heard him discussing the hacker with Seven earlier, asking questions with his eyes wide. Turns out it’s rare for someone to give Seven this much trouble.
“Strange. Kind of sad. I wish there was something I could do for him.”
Vanderwood’s enthusiasm vanishes.
“Then he sounds just like the rest of us.”
In the silence that follows, you both turn your attention back to the fireplace. The flames seem to have a life of their own, and your cheeks feel warm from the heat of it. Somewhere, from another room, you hear Seven’s voice. You wonder who he’s talking to, or if it's just to himself.
“So, if that guy,” Vanderwood gestures back to the bedroom where V is sleeping, “was drugged to oblivion by that cult, how did you get out okay?”
“He has a bit of a personal history with their founder. The whole RFA does, actually, but his is more… delicate, from what I understand. See, I’m the stranger in this equation.”
“Huh. I don’t know why I expected this to be simple. Nothing Seven involves himself in ever is.”
“They used to all be like a family once apparently. I’m still trying to understand it all myself.”
He puts his head on his hands for a second in a show of exhaustion. “Maaaaan…. how are you staying sane through all of this? Just hearing the gist of things is making me tired.”
You’ve been asked this question a few times, but you’ve never given the real answer any thought before. Next to V, who could barely stand upright and was talking to the air last time you were at his bedside, you were always fine. It felt wrong to even imply otherwise.
But now, when you think about where you were a week ago and how much has changed since then, you aren’t so sure. You can’t remember the last time you felt rested and, even though you’ve been reassured that you’re safe here, you’re scared someone is watching you. You can’t even think of walking down the street by yourself before you break out in goosebumps.
"Oh. I guess you hadn’t gotten that far yet, had you?”
“No… I guess not. Is it that obvious?”
He holds out a gloved hand in front of your face and taps your forehead once, lightly.
“You’re easy to read. Or maybe it’s just me.”
With only the flickering firelight on his face, his expression is hard to make out, but you find some comfort in his gesture.
“I feel like none of it is real. At least if you can see it, it means that I’m not making any of this up.”
He nods and you lapse back into a comfortable silence.
“Hey, I know it may not be much coming from me, but I think you’ve got some good people on your side at the moment.”
You’re not sure what possesses you to ask, “Is that including you?”
He seems to be stunned for a moment before he smiles. It transforms him into a brand-new person, and you can imagine what a different life might have looked like on him. Your anxiety gets pushed down by a wave of pride at managing to elicit that expression from him. You have a feeling it’s quite rare.
“Yeah, I guess it does.”
Suddenly, V groans loudly, startling the both of you. Vanderwood jumps back to his feet and quickly follows the sound to the bedroom door. Before he disappears completely, he turns to you and says, “Listen, I need to go back to playing nurse, but can we talk more a bit later?”
You smile.
“I’d like that.”

MC trusts Jumin with her life. Right?
°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。
MC pulled the key out of the lock finally, sighing and making a mental note to talk to her landlord about it. She’d been struggling to unlock it for a little over a week at that point.
Stepping out of her shoes, she pulled her hair from its updo and set her bag down. Another interview down, and she was really hoping that they would hire her.
Once she had changed into something more comfortable, she switched on her laptop to check her emails for the RFA party coming up. Her heart fell as she saw the subject line of her most recent email.
After much convincing, she’d convinced the owner of an up-and-coming ramen chain, Mr. Seo, to attend the party. She’d been so proud of herself, and the whole RFA had praised her when she’d bragged about it in the chatroom.
“There’s nothing more to say, see for yourself…what?” she read aloud to herself, clicking on the attachment from the owner. Inside was an email sent to Mr. Seo earlier that morning, and as she began to read, her mouth fell open in shock.
“My fiancé is too shy to admit it, but your attendance at our fundraiser would be disgraceful. Please consider this a revocation of your invitation.” Her eyes widened as she looked to see who the email was from, finding Jumin Han signed at the bottom.
Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion and disbelief, but there was no denying that the email address was the one he used for business purposes. Could someone have hacked his account?
She put her head in her hands, sighing out in exasperation. Why did this keep happening?
Over the last six months, MC felt as if she couldn’t escape the bad luck that was finding her. It began with little things. Her apartment window shattering at 3 in the morning, losing her favorite bracelet, or finding a nail in her tire two weeks in a row.
It soon turned into bigger things that ruined not only her day but her week or even her month. She was fired from her job of three years because someone made up a story that she had threatened them with violence. Multiple party guests all decided to pull out at the same time. The worst was when someone forged a note from Jumin to her landlord saying that he was a crook and shouldn’t manage an apartment complex. Jaehee was still having that investigated.
She had been through three cars in the last six months, having had her catalytic converter stolen, her fuel line slashed, and discovering her brakes had rusted through. If she hadn’t had Jumin to help her make ends meet when she couldn’t, she wouldn’t have known what to do.
Thinking about all these things, she closed her laptop, not even going to bother trying to convince the party guest that there had been a misunderstanding. Just like with the note to her landlord, she didn’t believe for one second that Jumin would do such a thing. But her stomach was tied in a strange knot, one she couldn’t seem to untangle even with reason. She tried to convince herself that he must have been hacked, but she still reached for her phone and dialed his number.
She heard the phone ring not even once fully before it went to voicemail, and she pulled her phone back to stare at it in disbelief. As her unease grew, she checked to see if she’d gotten any texts from him before calling Jaehee next.
MC was holding her breath, happily releasing it after Jaehee answered almost immediately.
“Thank go-”
“I’m sorry, MC, can I call you back? Mr. Han and I are about to meet with the Chairman,” Jaehee spoke quickly, and MC’s smile fell.
“Oh, yes,” she replied, about to add that it was urgent before Jaehee abruptly hung up. Despite the momentary relief, the call brought her no peace of mind. She began a text to Jumin, but after a pause, she stood from her couch and grabbed her purse.
It was a brisk 15-minute walk to Jumin’s apartment, and she couldn’t keep her mind from running. She tried to scan the previous night for anything she’d done wrong while she’d been visiting him. When she found nothing, she thought back further, coming up short again. If Jumin was upset with her, she wouldn’t have known without the email from the guest. But was he upset with her? Was she overthinking it? Her mind was in a dizzying mess by the time she walked into the lobby of his apartment.
The attendant in the elevator gave her a strange look but still managed to smile at her. She was hoping her nerves would calm if she could get up there to his penthouse and just wait for him there. Elizabeth the 3rd would help her settle down too. She considered going straight to his office, but if he was meeting with his father, it was for something important that she didn’t want to interrupt.
Stepping off the elevator at the top floor, she nearly breezed past the guards as she always did.
“Ms. MC,” the taller one called. She turned to look at him – Juwon, if she remembered right – expecting the usual smile and finding a tight-lipped expression instead. Her stomach turned, wishing she’d thought of the possibility of being stopped there.
“Yes?” she wondered, turning to face the two of them.
“I’m afraid I can’t let you through at the moment,” Juwon replied, narrowing his eyes at her.
What?
“I understand,” she said after a moment, swallowing thickly and trying to think on her toes. “I just, I–” She choked on her words, pretending to clear her throat.
“I forgot my medication here last night again, and it’s really important I take it on time,” she said gently, lying through her teeth but finding it felt necessary in that moment. The guards’ expressions flickered, and they glanced at each other in hesitation.
“You can follow me inside if you’d like. I swear I’ll be less than a minute,” she offered, smiling at the both of them. “Just close the door if you see the cat,” she teased, finally bringing a smile to Juwon’s lips.
“Alright, but less than a minute is what we’ll stick with,” he said, nodding at the other guard to remain put as he moved towards her. She smiled, relieved.
“Thank you,” she breathed, knowing that he couldn’t get into the penthouse without a special code from Jumin or his father that changed every 10 minutes. She would be safe there for the time being.
They approached the door, and she pressed her thumb to the touchpad, feeling the relief wash out of her when the panel flashed red. She tried her thumbprint again, taking a shallow breath to try and calm herself. Her access had worked just last night! What had–
“Hey,” she heard behind her, turning to see the head of security, Mr. Jung, stepping off the elevator. Following him were four more guards, ones she’d never met before. She whipped around and tried to get in one more time, gritting her teeth when NOT AUTHORIZED popped up for the third time.
“I’m going to have to ask you to leave,” Mr. Jung said as he walked up to her, and she raised an eyebrow at him. His expression was stern, not the warm, friendly one she was used to.
“Why? What’s going on?” she wondered, feeling as if she was running out of options.
“Direct orders from Mr. Han,” he replied coldly, making her heart drop against her lungs and knock the wind out of her. She couldn't believe what she was hearing, her vision spinning for a second before she felt a hand on her wrist. She twisted out of it, glaring up at him and holding back tears.
“I know the way out,” she sneered, pushing past them and stalking over to the stairwell that led back down. She trudged down a few flights in silence before she sat down, letting a few tears fall before pulling out her phone. No notifications from Jaehee, and none from Jumin either. Ignoring the way her hands had begun to shake, she navigated to that floor’s elevator and took it down, determined to get to the bottom of whatever was going on.
Just before MC could lift her arm to hail a cab outside, her phone rang in her hand. She lifted it to her face in a panic, praying it was Jumin but frowning when it was just her landlord. She thought about declining the call, but she decided to pick up, having let the only cab in sight fly past her.
“Hello?” she answered, being met with the wail of sirens and a slew of curses.
“Get yo– Here now! Your apartment– fire!” she heard, shaking her head in disbelief.
“What?” she yelled, her eyes wide as she stared at the ground and waited for a reply.
“Get here now!” she heard, pulling the phone away from her ear. Swallowing her growing anxiety, she waved down the next cab and headed for home, hoping that today wouldn’t get any worse.
When she arrived and saw the firetruck, she felt the tears threatening to fall again, running through the lobby towards the stairs. She could smell the smoke already. Her landlord was standing in front of the elevator, and a whole new fire was set ablaze in his eyes when he caught sight of her.
“This better be a joke,” he growled, pointing a finger at her.
“What is going on?” she demanded, glancing at the people in the lobby who were coughing.
“I’d love to know! You can tell me exactly why your apartment went up in flames,” he replied icily, folding his arms over his chest and glaring at her. She felt dizzy, shaking her head.
“You’re kidding,” she said weakly, thinking of all of the damage she’d have to deal with.
“I wish I was!” he exclaimed, cursing at her before a firefighter walked up breathlessly.
“It was the stove,” he explained, looking between the both of them and making alarm bells ring in her head. The landlord shot her a deadly glare before stepping aside to speak more with the man. She took wavering steps towards the couch in the lobby, seeing her neighbor Jiuen and rushing over quickly.
“Jiuen,” she sighed, placing a hand on her shoulder. Jiuen turned and looked at her with wide eyes before hugging her from where she sat on the couch.
“MC! Thank God you’re okay,” she whimpered, shaking her head against MC’s stomach. “They didn’t know if you were in there or not when the fire started.” MC patted her head, not feeling like providing much comfort at the moment.
“Are you okay?” she wondered quietly, feeling her neighbor nod and hearing her sniffle in reply.
“I saw people at your door a little while before it all started and figured someone had come to get you, but the firefighters were scaring me because they didn’t know if they’d find a body in there–”
“What?” she interrupted, watching Jieun lift her head and pull away from the hug.
“Yeah, a ton of guys in suits,” she shrugged, wiping her eyes. “Did Jumin call and say he stopped by? I didn’t have time to go out there and say hi,” she wondered. MC balled her hands in fists, pressing her nails deep into her palms to keep her tears in.
“Thanks for worrying, Jieun,” she whispered, turning around and walking back out of the apartment building.
MC rolled over achily, reaching over to turn off her alarm and sigh. After getting a hotel room last night, she had crashed, exhausted and numb from all that had happened. She squinted at the light coming in through the blinds, picking up her phone and glancing at all her notifications.
Jumin had called her multiple times, Jaehee had as well, and the text notification bubble didn’t even have a number on it anymore.
She began to scroll through Jaehee’s first, sighing at all the questions and worry as she read backward to the previous night.
“The Chairman never showed up. I apologize for the wait.” She sighed, pulling up Jumin’s text and feeling her heart begin to ache at the worry. She was fuming mad, but seeing him so helpless wasn’t comforting.
A similar text to Jaehee’s caught her eye, making her tired brain finally start to wake up.
“My father missed our meeting. He’s never done that before.”
MC stared at the text, pressing her lips together.
Jumin’s father had never approved of their relationship. From the moment Jumin proposed at the party, he’d never once given her a smile that was real. She could see the hatred behind it, no matter how much he thought he was hiding it.
She pushed the thought away, reminding herself that Jumin was who she was upset with. Right?
The harder she thought about it, the more doubtful she became. Jumin had never done anything malicious to her, and she found it hard to believe that he could.
Sitting up from when she lay, she took a deep breath and steeled herself. She was going to put an end to whatever was going on.
Having been so out of it last night, she hadn’t realized she’d gotten a hotel close to Jumin’s apartment. The morning air was nice and refreshing on her skin as she stepped outside and began walking, her thoughts swirling in confusion and anger.
When she reached the lobby of his building, she noticed the security guards at the entrance. She walked back around the corner, chewing on her bottom lip as she took a deep breath and put her faith in her fiancé.
She waited through half a ring before Jumin answered her call, a deep exhale leaving him.
“My love,” he breathed in relief. She held back a larger smile, feeling the way her muscles relaxed at the sound of his voice.
“I’m here, Jumin,” she replied, looking around the corner at the door.
“My door is always open,” he said after a pause, sounding slightly confused. She leaned against the wall, shaking her head.
“Not for me,” she said quietly, waiting for him to respond but hearing silence.
“Where?” was all he asked, and she glanced upwards towards the top floor, knowing what he was asking.
“The lobby,” she answered, hearing rustling before the line went dead. She pressed her lips together, watching the guards as her heartbeat began to accelerate.
After a long minute and a half, she saw the guards turn to look further into the lobby, their shoulders tensing. She took that as her sign, and she started towards the entrance, nearly tripping over her own feet.
She could hear Jumin’s voice and many footsteps on the fancy tile as the doors slid open, their eyes meeting as she spotted him paces from the elevator.
“Mr. Han,” the head of security warned, following after him as Jumin strode towards her.
“MC,” Jumin called. She almost was able to smile in reply before two guards stepped in front of her, and she was walking so fast that she barrelled into one of them, stumbling to steady herself.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Jumin boomed, and she peeked over the shoulders of the guards to see who it was directed at. Mr. Jung came up to Jumin’s side, his eyes meeting her fiancé’s gaze apprehensively.
“Ms. MC has been trespassed from this property,” he told Jumin just loudly enough for her to hear. She wanted to panic, but the way Jumin’s expression shifted didn’t leave her with much to worry about.
“On whose authority?” Jumin asked lowly, and she lost sight of him as the guards in front of her pushed her forward a little.
“Orders from Mr. Han,” Mr. Jung replied, and she furrowed her eyebrows. Mr. Han. Jumin’s father. Of course.
She held her hands up in silent surrender, taking two steps back from the guards to be able to see Jumin, almost wishing she hadn’t. She’d never seen him so angry, but he didn’t look like he was about to explode; his eyes were on fire. She didn’t know gray could burn like that.
“That’s my fiancé,” Jumin murmured, and Mr. Jung’s mouth twitched as if he had something he wanted to say. Jumin raised an eyebrow expectantly, his jaw set and clenched.
“I won’t ask you twice to let her through,” he hissed, and Mr. Jung paused, looking towards MC.
“Mr. Han–”
“MC, come here please,” Jumin called, his voice shifting into a gentle melodic tone. She glanced at the guards in front of her, watching them make a space big enough for her to squeeze through the two of them. She walked over to Jumin, holding his left hand with both of hers and looking up at him. His expression was cold again, his eyes set on the guard in front of him.
“You’re all dismissed. You won’t enjoy yourselves if I see you again,” he spoke calmly, and the head of security took a quick breath in.
“Your father–”
“Now.” Jumin said, cutting him off. Mr. Jung glared at the both of them, growling to himself and turning away as the rest of the guards hesitantly followed after him. She pressed her forehead into Jumin’s shoulder, her deep breaths slowing as she felt Jumin squeeze her hand and raise his right to her head.
“Are you okay?” he wondered, lifting her chin to let his eyes roll over her completely.
“I’m fine,” she whispered, a lump forming in her throat. Jumin’s eyebrows pulled together in worry, and he pressed a short kiss to her forehead before starting towards the elevator.
“Let’s get inside,” he said reassuringly, holding her hand the whole ride up.
When she showed him how her fingerprint was no longer authorized at the door, she watched his eyes grow fiery again.
“I see,” was all he said, glancing at the camera pointed at his door and leading her inside.
Jumin sat her down on the couch and poured her a cup of tea, kissing her cheek and waiting until she relaxed before he started with questions.
Once MC started, it was a while until she stopped, watching Jumin grow more and more tense as her story continued. Now that she knew his father had something to do with what had happened yesterday, she wondered how much more the Chairman could be guilty of.
When she finally finished, she wiped a few stray tears from her face and looked up at him warily.
“I’m sorry I thought you were behind it all,” she said weakly, watching Jumin’s expression soften as his hand moved to cup her cheek.
“This was all a deliberate ploy to create resentment between us,” he replied, stroking the skin beneath her eye with his thumb. “Of course you came to that conclusion.” She shook her head, sighing.
“That doesn’t make it okay. I should have trusted you wholeheartedly,” she replied, pouting. He smiled, blowing an amused breath from his nose.
“What matters is you’re here now,” he whispered, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead. She knew he was right, but still felt guilty.
“What now?” she wondered, watching his face harden as he exhaled slowly.
“I’m going to speak to him.” Jumin removed his hands from her, standing and starting towards the door.
“Jumin,” she called, following after him and taking his hand to stop him. “I don’t want to come between you and your father.” Jumin stopped, his firmly-set shoulders drooping slightly. He turned to glance at her, his eyes evaluating her face as he considered what she’d said.
“MC,” he murmured softly, turning around to face her and place his hands on her upper arms. “My father has let me down countless times. I acknowledge that he is my family, but if he continues to disrespect you, I cannot tolerate that,” he continued, his eyebrows drawing downwards as he spoke. She searched his eyes as she listened.
“You are who I am choosing to love. You have never let me down. I love you, and I have no doubt that you love me,” he spoke softly, beginning to smile down at her. She couldn’t help but return the smile, feeling her anxious heart begin to warm.
“And that is why,” he whispered, stepping closer to her and wrapping his arms behind her back. “I must put a stop to this. No matter who it is that tries to come between us, I won’t let them get away with it. I’m sorry it took this long for me to realize,” Jumin sighed, pulling her in for a hug and pressing her tight to his chest. She hugged him back, having felt his love for her in both his words and the way he was holding her. She held back more tears, relieved that nothing had gone wrong between them.
Jumin ran a hand across her back soothingly, making her close her eyes and settle into that moment. She pressed a gentle kiss to his shoulder, feeling gratitude for the man who she loved so much flowing through her.
He pulled back, his eyes honeyed and straying far from that fire from before as he gazed down at her. She let out an amused sigh, pushing some hair away from his forehead.
“Weren’t we going somewhere?” she wondered quietly, seeing some of the warmth leave his expression.
“You’d like to come with me?” he wondered, his eyes scanning over her face.
“Yes, Jumin,” she replied. “We’re in this together.” He smiled at that, pulling away from her but staying close as he smoothed out his dress shirt and patted his pocket for his phone.
“Indeed we are, my love,” he agreed, holding out his hand for a mere second before she took it. Whatever was ahead for them, they would face it hand in hand.

you, that one anon and I, are single handedly CARRYING the autistic Jumin headcanon.
If it's alright, what would happen if MC were to help Jumin through a meltdown and/or shutdown? Or her just telling Jumin that it's okay to be him, and that they can find out who he is behind the mask together :,]?
Man this makes me wanna *hits desk repeatedly*
FR THO i love my autistic king <3 i'm sorry for the delay! i've had a very. very. eventful couple of weeks T_T
letting himself feel his emotions was something jumin was still getting used to. before her, he always imagined his feelings as something to be locked away, never to be touched and opened. a pandora's box. there was a wall between himself and his emotions, and it was better for everyone that way. of course, he was only human, and sometimes his strongest emotions would slip through. sadness would creep its way out of the box every so often, catching him in her cruel grip. there was always affection whenever he spent time with elizabeth the third, but other than that, jumin never really let himself feel anything. he had always believed that emotions were a waste of time-- that it didn't matter what he felt, because people treated him the same no matter what. no one ever cared for his emotional needs, so why would he? of course, that all changed when he met her and fell in love for the first time. she was able to get him out of his own head, was able to slowly untangle the mess that was jumin han; while he seemed cold and aloof on the outside, he had been drowning under the surface. she had been his lifeline.
she opened his eyes to so much more than emotions, though. it was her that persuaded him to get an autism diagnosis, her that stuck by his side through the assessment and the waiting, and then the confirmation. the confirmation was both a relief and an anxiety- jumin was relieved to hear that there was a reason for the way that he was, and that he wasn't just some broken mess. anxiety had quickly overpowered the relief he felt, though, because...well, powerful people weren't autistic. in his high society, there was not a single person like that. while jumin was sure a lot of them had mental illnesses, it was something taboo among the elites. something that was spoken of behind closed doors and cupped hands, in whispers while you were passing by and words with double meanings. after the diagnosis, jumin began learning about autism- both through research and through firsthand experiences. something he had to learn firsthand was shutdowns and meltdowns.
there were different types, she had explained, and it's not always a visibly emotional breakdown. sometimes it's just completely shutting down, your body present but your mind somewhere far away where no one could reach. it's your senses becoming overwhelmed to the point where your conscious mind decides to take a step back. jumin didn't understand how that could happen until he had experienced it.
it had been a long, stressful day. there were stacks of paper to be signed, crowds of important businessmen and women to be met with, and an important client backed out of a deal at the last minute and left them all scrambling. jumin's entire routine had been thrown off, and he had to meet with his father and his father's new girlfriend; she was worse than the others, had come onto him when his father wasn't in the room and invaded his personal space. by the time jumin got home, he was barely holding himself together. he breezed by his cat and his wife without a word and made his way into the bedroom where he threw himself down onto the bed and stared blankly up at the ceiling. the longer he laid there, the more detached he became from reality until jumin was unseeing and unblinking. this comatose-like state was how she found him, and she was quiet and gentle when she shut the door behind her. not that it really mattered, because she was certain that the penthouse could burn down and jumin would still be none the wiser.
she sat next to him on the bed and repeatedly carded her fingers through his hair, content to do so until he came back to reality. it took a little while, but she could see the light slowly come back to his eyes. saw how he finally started to notice his surroundings, and then notice her. "when did you come in?" he asked, voice a little rough. "mmm about half an hour ago." she responded, stopping her motions in favor of leaning down to press a kiss to his forehead. "rough day?" she asked, and made a sympathetic noise when he nodded. "overwhelming." he said, letting out a sigh as he closed his eyes. "i'm sorry i went all..spacey like that."
"hey, don't apologize." she frowned, lightly tapping his forehead. "this kind of thing happens sometimes. do you want me to make an appointment with a therapist or anything?" that was a new thing, too. therapy. jumin still wasn't entirely comfortable with it, but he couldn't deny that it did help. learning more about his diagnosis and his feelings and how he felt things made it feel less lonely. like, he wasn't the only one who was messed up. jumin was about to deny her offer, but caught himself. it would always be hard to let other people in, to let them see all the mangled, messed up parts that made him, but he was trying.
there was a fear that jumin had of letting other people know of his diagnosis. other than the repercussions in his society, he feared that people would look at him and label him as autistic. like they wouldn't be able to see any other part of him. it was also the reason why he felt like he never really knew himself; he never knew where his mask ended and where he began, always too afraid to find out. he voiced this fear to her, and fell silent as she contemplated her response for a moment. "i think...the people who love you won't look at you and see your diagnosis, but rather look at it like one more piece to the puzzle. like something to help them understand you better." she said, her voice slow and clear. "as for who you are...well, i can sit here and tell you exactly who i think you are without your mask, but it's more important for you to figure that out...and i'll be right here by your side, of course." her words helped to quell the rising anxiety, and he couldn't be more grateful that someone so thoughtful and so calming was by his side. "thank you." he murmured, pressing a kiss to the side of her head. "i will....give the therapist a call myself. in a little while, though. i want to stay here with you for a moment."

Jumin, Saeran and Saeyoung reacting to an MC who freezes up and stays mute but acts relatively normal in her day to day life except she's struggling with something mentally that sometimes makes her silently cry at night?
I've been having this lately, and I don't know how to feel about it. It feels like PTSD. I used to be diagnosed on it but now that its bigger effects have subsided, I thought things will be better now, but I constantly find myself just rotting in bed or doing things silently and reply shortly or in a monotone voice for no reason at least twice or thrice a week.
(That's a little bit of a vent, I'm sorry, Kait. I will be going to the therapist to check myself out though.)
Jumin has never dived deep into the constructs of the psychological mind. There's something to be said about his flippant disregard of his trauma in the name of validating someone else's experience, but let it be know that his compassion outweighs anything. He understands it isn't easy for you when you're overwhelmed, and he's not one to scold someone for things outside of their control. You clearly need to catch your breath and slow down when your thoughts are whirling and your brain is moving a mile a minute.
There's no need to force yourself to talk when you don't think you can manage, and there are other ways to communicate when you feel like you're at your wits end. If it's hard to talk, he'll see if there's any other way for you to say what you want, like a phone, tablet, whiteboard, or what have you. If you can't communicate readily in that state, he gets it. But, he wants to make sure you have what you need and you're not suffering in silence because you don't know how to ask for what your body needs because your words are all tangled up.
His main concern is your well-being. Of course, he's going to help you get into someone so you can talk about these problems and get the help you need. He's not a trained professional and knows that his support can only go so far at the end of the day. He wants to educate himself on this subject because he knows what you're going through requires compassion and understanding, and not many people in this world would afford that to you. You deserve time to rest and to come back to earth without being jostled.
"My dear, I understand you feel tired and numb... but I want to do whatever I can to help you pull through these feelings to feel like yourself again. I understand it may take some time for you to feel comfortable again, but you won't have to worry about a thing while I'm here. I'll stay by your side and see this through with you. So, you can rest easy... and know you're safe."
Saeyoung gets it. God knows he's had to force himself to survive the worst of the worst, and the most difficult thing about that experience is that he never had a chance to lay down and wallow in the grief he was experiencing. The agency didn't give him time to comprehend what he was doing or what was being done to him, and for that reason, it was easier for him to suppress everything he was going through and lock it away under a mask to never deal with again.
That's by no means the healthy way to do something, but he didn't have any other option. Now he does have the option to choose how he wants to handle his feelings, and that is hugely in part due to the confidence you gave him to fight for himself instead of constantly fighting for other people and throwing his life away in the name of self-sacrifice. So, when he sees you struggling, all he wants to do is help you the way you helped him. Sure, he's clumsy and it's clear to anyone that he doesn't know what he's doing, but you know his dear heart is in the right place.
Of course, his idea of helping is to build you a blanket fort and make sure the bedroom experience is something warm and cozy. He knows that you're not going to be able to just... jump out of bed. You need a little bit of time and you have to work your way up to it. Rest isn't by any means a bad thing, and you taking the time to breathe when the world feels like its crumbling... it's okay. He'll lay there with you so you don't feel so alone, and you don't have to worry about trying to find the right words to say! He gets it! You will survive this storm and he will be right here.
"Don't worry, you should close your eyes and try to get some rest. I've got everything taken care so you don't have to worry... ah, you don't have to look at me like that. I'm not upset, [Y/N]. I want you to have time to cry and just... exist. You can't hide these difficult feelings from escaping, so you should try to let them out little by little... so there's a less of a chance they work up to this point again... but I'll work on a few new additions to the robot cat so you'll be able to shout at me if I'm not helping and try something else, heh."
GE Saeran understands what it feels like to be so exhausted and drained that you can't even speak. He's been there before and it's certainly not easy to pull yourself out of that slump. In fact, he's still learning how to handle these feelings whenever they come up, and he knows he's no expert in trying to navigate what feels right and what feels wrong. However, even though he's still learning how to deal with these feelings, they feel a lot less scary when he reminds himself that he's not facing all of this alone.
He's been pushing through this every step of the way with you by his side, and he would deeply remind you to remember the same thing whenever you feel like you're facing a challenge all alone. He's there by your side and he wants nothing more than to make sure you feel just as safe and sound as you have made him feel. He's the best when it comes to this form of communication.
You're like ships, passing in the night with the messages the other understands without ever having to say a word. When it comes to overcoming these particular feelings, he knows the best thing to do is to work your way up to something you can handle instead of trying to force yourself into something you're not ready for. Instead of sleeping in bed, he offers to make a makeshift bed in the coziest part of the garden so you can see something breathtaking while you’re having a tough time. Sometimes a change of perspective can make a world of difference.
"Isn't it wonderful? The world might feel bleak and like there's no reason to hold your head up, but when you look at a site like this, you can't help but wonder if it'll always be bleak when the world in the room next to you has this much color. I've got you, my love, let's try to enjoy this colorful view and remember there's a little bit of hope left to find in our world, okay? That's what helps me... and I hope it'll do some good for you."
