Thank you for your answers 💖 Hope you don’t minde if I give you some replies.
1. I’m also glad to not be the only one to enjoy old books as well. I was about between 11 and 13 years old when I started to read classics by myself, but my parents read classic stories to me and my sister since we were very little (not the bloodiest and darker ones, of course 😅). And you worked at a book store? That’s great! Sorry that it have to shut down. I work in a library every tuesday afternoon. I’m only a benevolent worker there, because there are no free places for now, but I’m really happy there.
I love the fav classics you have and well, I do think that The Little Prince is considered as a classic. The Secret Garden is indeed a masterpiece, I totally understand that it’s one of your favourites. Little Women is a favourite of mine as well, I lost count about how many times I reread this classic. I love Charles Dickens as well and David Copperfield is a wonderful story, but my own favourite from Dickens is probably Little Dorrit. And Les Miserables... a masterpiece. My father gifted me a very old edition from this classic, which he found thanks to one of his friends who is an antiquarian. Shall I mention that everyone in my family loves Alice in Wonderland?
As for my own favs... Gosh, good question 😂 First off, I’m a big Jane Austen enthusiast and love each of her novels, even though my favs are Pride & Prejudice and Persuasion. I’m also a big fan of Jules Verne. From time to time in the year, I have a so-called Jules-Verne-Phase, during which I absolutely need to read some of his books. The icons like Around The World In 80 Days or Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Seas, but also Michael Strogoff, Two Year Vacation and some rather unknown tales like César Cascabel, Eight Hundred Leages On The Amazon or Propeller Island. Did you also know that Jules Verne has written a novel called Paris In The Twentieth Century? It was puplished posthume in 1994, because back in his days, it was considered kinda dark... But it’s very accurate on many parts, I’ll admit. I also love Maurice Leblanc and his Arsène Lupin, Alexandre Dumas and especially The Three Musketeers and The Lady Of Monsoreau, the Brontë sisters, Oscar Wilde, Robert Louis Stevenson. And Maurice Druon and his The Accursed Kings, one of the best historic novel series I ever read.
2. I really reccommend Adventures of Tintin, it’s definitely worth it. Although the first three volumes might be a bit difficult to get in (especially the second), it’s definitely worth a shot, as it’s very funny most of the time and sometimes also touching, not to mention full of adventures. The only one were there isn’t an adventure is volume 21, but it is still perfectly funny and despite the lack of “adventure”, it doesn’t matter because on how the story is told. It is considered one of the best and it’s one of my top 3 Tintin volumes. Sadly, the author died before he could finish volume 24. But that one is also selled and it gives a lots of intel on how the author drew and created story and characters. So, if you want and have time, give it a shot. The Spielberg movie adaptation is from my opinion pretty good, as Spielberg took the essense of the original but giving it his own tip as well.
3. I imagine often two kinds of crossovers. But it’s always two or more pieces of fictions mixing together, sometimes the characters of this manga in the universe of this novel, and other times, characters from different works interacting. I love to imagine more complex or touching stories, but often, it’s just for the fun and to laugh. For example, I imagine very often a crossover between Tintin and Black Clover and trust me, I can’t help but laugh imagining the characters of those two completely different works of fictions interacting, can’t help it 😂
1. What are your favourite classics? 2. Do you know the Adventures of Tintin series? 3. Have ever imagined crossovers when you were writing?
Hello there, friend! Thank you so much for the ask and for playing my game! 🥰 These are great questions, and I'd be happy to answer them for you 💖
From this Ask Me Any 3 Questions About Myself Game 🥰
1. What are your favourite classics?
Ooh! This is such a good question. I've really enjoyed the headcanons about Black Clover characters enjoying certain literary classics that you've shared recently, and I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who enjoys old books! 🥰 To be honest, most of my all-time favorite books are classics. My very first job was at a bookstore, and when I interviewed for the job, the manager asked about my favorite books. His follow up question was "What about a book from this century?" 😂 I scrambled a little but eventually thought of some. I do like more modern books too! 😅 [A/N: Working in a bookstore was a great job! Sadly the store closed down and is now a grocery store. I feel a little sad whenever I drive past it... 🥺 Also, I work in a STEM field now, so reading and writing is more of a creative outlet for me these days]
I've tried to narrow down my favorites to a top five list for you (not necessarily in this order except for the #1 spot. The Secret Garden has been my all-time favorite book since I was a kid), but there are so many good ones out there!
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
David Copperfield by Charles Dickens
Les Miserables by Victor Hugo
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry or Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol (if The Little Prince is too modern to be considered a classic)
2. Do you know the Adventures of Tintin series?
I have heard good things about it, but I've never read any of it, unfortunately. I've seen a movie adaptation but having never read the series I can't say how accurate an adaptation it was or not. 😅 It seems like a wholesome story from what I know of it though. Is this a series you would recommend?
3. Have ever imagined crossovers when you were writing?
Absolutely! More than I'd probably care to admit, actually. 😅 My sisters and I have always come up with the most random and most bizarre crossovers. [Some of our crossover ideas have been going on for so long they have a lot of lore and are too complex to explain to our friends at this point 😂]. Crossovers can be very fun to think about, but I've never seriously written one down before, besides during some silly writing games (like "Scrolls of Nonsense") my sisters or friends and I play from time to time.
My favorite kinds of crossovers are character-centric since there are definitely lots of characters I would absolutely love to see interact with each other if that was possible. One of my sisters has come up with some really hilarious and unexpected character combinations over the years, and it's so odd because I'll sometimes think of two characters from two wildly different things as "friends" even if they've never actually met (and had no possibility of ever meeting)! 😅

New Post has been published on Superbike News
New Post has been published on http://superbike-news.co.uk/wordpress/competitive-40th-edition-24-heures-motos/
A very competitive 40th edition of the 24 Heures Motos
With just one week to go for the 24 Heures Motos, the pressure is mounting. The 60 competing teams are fine-tuning the last details and making their ambitions clear. This second round of the FIM EWC 2016-2017 looks set to be particularly thrilling.
With new machines on the track and new riders in the saddle, trying to predict the winner of the 24 Heures Motos 2017 is even harder than in previous years.
Team SRC Kawasaki, the winner of the 2016 edition, remains a firm favourite, with a rejigged team comprising Fabien Foret, Randy de Puniet and Mathieu Gines. Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, the reigning world champion and winner of the Bol d’Or, also has very good chances. SERT will be struggling to overcome two handicaps: the demise of Anthony Delhalle, and having to compete with the 2016 model of the GSX-R 1000 because of some missing racing parts for the 2017 model. Even so, with the entire SERT crew cheering on Vincent Philippe, Etienne Masson and Alex Cudlin, these obstacles could well turn into incentives to carry off a fresh win.
Dual ambition at Yamaha The Yamaha clan is making no secret of its ambitions. YART Yamaha Official EWC Team set the pace at the preliminary tests in end March. In the saddle of the Yamaha #7, Broc Parkes, Marvin Fritz and Kohta Nozane will be aiming not only to turn in a brilliant performance but also to climb on the top step of the podium at the end of the 24-hour race. GMT94 Yamaha too has solid reasons to hope for a win, including a very cohesive team: David Checa, Niccolò Canepa and Mike Di Meglio.
Honda’s new card Honda Racing Endurance could be the surprise winner. The British team, now fortified by the expertise of Chris Pike, Tito Rabat’s head mechanic in the MotoGP, will be hitting the track on the Honda CBR 1000 RR SP2. This high-performance new machine stuffed with electronics will be in the capable hands of seasoned riders Julien da Costa, Sébastien Gimbert and Freddy Foray.
Japanese team F.C.C. TSR Honda has opted to stick to the 2016 model for the 24 Heures Motos, and will have to do without Alan Techer, who was injured during tests in Japan. Gregg Black, Damian Cudlin and Arturo Tizon will be riding the Honda #5, with Josh Hook as stand-in.
Tecmas BMW, the new factory-backed team flying the colours of the German brand, is cautiously optimistic, but can also hope to carry off a win thanks to its high-performance S1000RR and riders Kenny Foray, Lukas Trautmann, Camille Hédelin and Mathieu Lussiana.
Pushy outsiders Besides these favourites, other teams are flexing their muscles in the wings. Team April Moto Motors Events climbed on the second step of the podium last year. This year, the team managed by Hervé Moineau has changed to Honda. The new CBR1000RR #50 will be similar to the series machine. But with Grégory Leblanc, Matthieu Lagrive and Grégory Fastré in the saddle, Team April Moto Motors Events will be gunning for the podium. National Motos is pursuing the same goal, and has entrusted its Honda 2017 to Emeric Jonchière, Nicolas Salchaud and Hiraki Hokubo.
Eva RT Webike Trick Star is another team to watch out for. The FIM EWC’s second Japanese team was on the Bol d’Or podium last September. Erwan Nigon, Osamu Deguchi and Julien Millet will be riding the Kawasaki #10. Kawasaki can also count on the experienced Bolliger Team Switzerland – Horst Saiger, Roman Stamm and Michael Savary. And, after placing 4th at the Bol d’Or, Maco Racing Team is keen to keep up the momentum with riders Grégory Junod, Anthony Dos Santos and Marko Jerman.
Superstocks to watch Because they do not get to use the quick-release wheel change at pit stops, some Superstock teams will be focusing on performance and regularity. Teams to keep an eye out for: Moto Ain CRT, Superstock winner at the Bol d’Or, with riders Alexis Masbou, Robin Mulhauser and Hugo Clère; Tati Team Beaujolais Racing, AM Moto Racing Compétition, Völpker NRT48 Schubert Motors and Yamaha Viltaïs Experiences, not to mention Junior Team Le Mans Sud Suzuki and Team LMD63 Ultimate Cup with Jules Cluzel, David Perret and Lucas de Carolis.
Free practice and the first qualifying on Thursday 13 April should provide some early indicators.
