I really appreciate your answer! It was really thoughtful and helpful. Can you go more in depth on how to explain feedism and the more odd fat fetishes to a normie partner? Like i have no idea how i would explain juicyjackie or metrack to a vanilla person without sounding like a madman lol

I'm gonna be honest and say it's a lot more, I guess, "socially acceptable" for a woman to be open about their sexual fetishes and fantasies. To be fair though, its probably just because people don't feel threatened by women who express their sexuality compared to men/amab people, which is unfortunate.

When I explain my fetishes to my normie people in my life, I try to explain the undertones. I think it's the image of unrestrained hedonism that gets me when someone indulges and eats unapologetically, or when someone lets me feel safe to be unapologetically fat. It's erotic to see someone passionate. I think Anthony Bourdain said something along the lines of how it's erotic to see people eat because it shows they have a level of self comfort, and I think that alone is one of the best ways you can explain it to a normie. (Hopefully that link works if not I'll post it in the notes of this post, this version of Tumblr I use is really weird.)

I think there are lots of reasons feedism is threatening to normies. I think the idea of having to change for a partner is scary, it's threatening to know the way they look affects the intimate part of a relationship. The other thing, especially that I have been struggling to come to terms with, is that even when I'm not in a scene, I'm a fat woman in a society that is actively built to make me feel worthless because of my weight. I do not get to choose to turn off aspects of this lifestyle that a lot of other fetishes allow you to do.

I also just think showing people fetish art and images is a whole different can of worms, just gauge their comfort level and let them know their comfort is important to you.
