Samuel Wade (1997- Present) @artisticfade

if you ask des who his best mate is, sam is the one that automatically comes to mind--even if that isn’t the case anymore. it’s hard to separate himself from sam. years have passed since the two stopped talking, but it still feels like he’s missing half of himself. as much as sam frustrates and angers him at times, he wishes things could be how they used to be.

they grew up together. they learned how to walk, talk, and become little humans together. sam was the closest thing des ever had to a sibling. they played together, cried together, and told each other everything. their families are best friends, and des can honestly say that sam’s parents feel like his own. so, when sam’s mom was taken away, it felt like a knife to the heart. 

their friendship quickly fell apart soon after that. des still can’t give a definitive answer on how that happened. maybe they just knew too much about each other or it could be that sam’s mom was the catalyst. either way, sam was was easy to set off and des just wasn’t patient enough with him. 

despite the obvious tension between them, they’re still forced on family holidays together. plus, they go to the same uni and were both drawn to the ocean that night. even though, they’re convinced they hate each other, they’re still the one the other turns to, because nothing can change the fact that they need each other the most. 

Alfie Renwick (Age 15 - Present)

alfie renwick has the heart of an angel with a devil on his shoulder. after falling out with sam, des felt the loss deeply--almost like he was missing a vital body part. as college loomed in the distance, des felt completely lost. sure, he still had mates, but none that he could really turn to. alfie came at a time where he truly needed someone to lean on. they met on the footie team, and he was full of big smiles and lots of laughs. however, wherever alfie went, finn carran followed. 

finn wasn’t like alfie. he was cruel and took pleasure in other people’s misfortune, pushing students in to lockers and tearing down the ones who weren’t considered “cool.” as much as des tried to pull alfie away from his toxic best mate, it wasn’t easy. like des and sam, the pair grew up together, and, as much as alfie saw how his best friend changed for the worst, he couldn’t seem to separate himself from him.

it put a strain des’ and alfie’s friendship, but des still stood by his side, because he knew he needed a real best mate. now that they attend different uni’s, they aren’t as close as they used to be, but they still stay in touch and reunite when des is home from school. things feel strained though, and des can’t figure out why. 

Jude Castillo (Age 18 - Present) @eltoromagico

des isn’t religious, but he likes to think that some higher power sent him jude, because he can’t think of someone more perfect to have in his life. like alfie, he met jude on the footie team after feeling the loss of a friend once again. unlike alfie, he comes without the god awful best friend, and has powers. part of the reason he feels so much closer to jude than alfie is that they both have such a life changing thing in common that he’ll never have with his old best mate. 

it’s the little things that make jude so bloody great as well. he’s the kindest soul with a brilliant smile. des is protective by nature, but it’s different for jude. he never wants to see the other hurt, and will bring out a rare dark side of himself if anyone tries to make jude anything but happy. 

while des feels like he can tell jude anything at this point, he still keeps the dark parts of himself hidden away, only allowing him to see what’s on the surface--a carefree bloke without a frown in sight. after losing sam, he’s afraid of burdening jude with his problems and tries to solve them himself.

➥ CAREER

Soraya didn’t move to the UK for her career, she moved because she needed better treatment for a rare heart condition she lives with. When she started high school, she really had no expectations of taking her music career any further than the four walls of her bedroom. She was shy, awkward and really didn’t have many friends thanks to the language barrier but by the time she’d matured into a 16 year old, she’d blossomed a bit more and settled into her new environment. She auditioned for St Judes but was told she wasn't good enough to do it on her own, so was put into a manufactured girl group.              After spending her practice year and first year in the group, she went solo and decided to try it on her own. She’s yet to release anything. 

➥ SECRET

Soraya suffers from a rare but fatal syndrome called Brugada Syndrome. It causes her heart to beat irregularly fast which can lead to cardiac arrest if she’s not careful. She kept her medical records a secret so that she’d be allowed to enter the music course and not be rejected due to health and safety reasons surrounding stress and a busy work load.

Hey there! I hope you're doing well. So silly ask but your reblog about "there are two types of trainers" with Charizard and Leon bonding/Raihan and Duraludon screaming at the top of their lungs got me wondering. Of your OCs and their Pokemon who would act like Leon and Charizard who would act like Raihan and Duraludon?

Hello, hello! I'm doing fine, thank you for asking!

If we're speaking on a technical level, all of my oc's are Leon and Charizard bonding, cause duh. But this ask is too fun for a simple answer like that, is it? I'm going the extra mile with a quick explanation, cause why not.

Leon and Charizard bonding gang:

Naomi: in battle she becomes more stoic, and besides. It's Naomi. The only time Naomi would scream is for singing. Neptune, her Inteleon, likes to rap around her for cuddles.

Kiran: Too tired for yelling. Has a research paper to do. Bodhi

Jewel: Especially with Suicune and Kuro( Espeon). Both an act real bratty, but it's ultimately a good bonding time.

Aiko: She was trained to battle with grace and beauty, as well as to remain calm as much as possible. Now, Aiko in her nature is an excitable gal. A real go getter, right? So she would sometimes have her Raihan moments. But most of the time, she's just babying her pokemon a whole bunch. She loves them a lot.

Jude: CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. She wasn't entirely big on the bonding when she started out, but grew to love it as she continued. Sometimes she would just have her pokemon surround her in a cuddle pile( Jude 🤝 Naomi: pokemon cuddle pile)

Dante: Has always valued the time with his pokemon, even when he was not in the correct headspace. Afterwards he felt the need to owe it up to them, so he often is giving them a lot of attention which makes Jude a lil jealous lol

Wayne: Still don't know if he can talk to Pokemon or have some sort of telepathic powers, but either way, he LOVES to bond with pokemon, his own, wild ones strangers...

Danica: Danica is hard cause her whole thing is that no one can really get a good read on her, both in and out if battle. But some of her pokemon would ( mainly the excitable Kit). And Giratina is Giratina. Creepy as hell, but matches Danica perfectly. But other than that, it's just her and her pokemon chilling, making pastries. Probably scaring people of the side, who knows.

Alexis: Leon and Charizard is Alexis and Kai everyday ( more reason to ship them). Kai, being Alexis' therapy mon as well as partner, will always be there for Alexis. The same goes for Alexis. Alexis' whole team would are absolute sweethearts, and as much as I want to ramble about them I haven't touched the Raihan trainers.

Raihan and Duraludon

Carol: Duh. Massive Raihan fan. Likes to rile people up so they can find out their weaknesses ( think Blue). But like. MASSIVE Raihan fan.

Kenji: Okay, I need to go one a tangent cause casual Kenji and Champion Kenji has different vibes that I never talked about. Casual Kenji is a sweet boy, very cheery and optimistic. A good boi. He wears a mix between 80-90's inspired clothing and just anything that looks soft( thanks Danica). Champion Kenji is just Itto from Genshin Impact( visually) except has the colors of Ho-Oh and like one sleeve on. He also has a cool fan, cause why not, he looks pretty. His has a playful smirk on his face, his eyes look sharper than the were( plus red eye shadow), and he acts a bit more confident than he usually is. Then you realize that Kenji has always been like this and the only reason your noticing is because he's in a hot outfit. Champion Kenji is a little bastard and I love him for that. Go off king. Ahem. Also he has a Feraligatr and Dragonite, yes he will be screaming at the top of his lungs. Don't get to distracted boys 😉

Aster: Girl can't really tell all the time, so she has Rotom do it for them. Will kick kneecaps if it's needed. Castillo( her Decidueye) is very chill but is also the type to cheer her on, so yeah. Chaotic grimlins.

Yarrow: Used to be part of Team Skull. Got granted, he was always pretty chill, but if you want a bear down, you'll get a beat down. Not to mention he has an Incinaroar and we all know how they are.

Kohaku and Jin I'm going to but here away from the rest cause their funny. Young Jin is definitely a Raihan and Duraludon, especially with their little temper. Kohaku was a bit more withdrawn in her youth, so she would rather focus on Pokemon research than pokemon battles. But as adults they flipped the script. Kohaku is often bonding with her pokemon via constantly running around and doing random research shit, and just being more chaotic than she used to be. The same can be applied to her pokemon. Jin's pokemon has always been more calm, especially Vivian their Sceptile. So as they gets older and mellows out it's less about the battle, and more about the experience. You would often find them chilling with tea in their hand, watching their pokemon do their thing like a tired parent, lol. They also kinda have to be like that or else Kohaku would die out her own curiosity. Don't be fooled though. Jin is still very much a chaotic gremlin. You should hear them do heavy metal.
