Oh so after Shunuki, Juazz/Jubazz also shouldn't be shipped because they're just friends? That people who ship them since the FRIEND flashback is sexualizing them? Of course the ones who said that are the same people who gushed over every single male-female childhood friends duo without hesitation just because they are m/f (and the ones who wanted the kids to kiss and get into relationship the most more than anyone during the flashback)
It's homophobia, always has been homophobia. You no longer can be slick with your outdated stupid excuse now, cishets
God, get me out of this hell

Y'know what?
Honestly it's a shame they killed off Cang Du earlier (again). Not only his own potentials got wasted (very horribly), but also the interesting tiniest barest slightest potential dynamic of him and Bazz B
Cang Du and Bazz B is what I personally envisioned as the alternate take of Bazz B and Haschwalth. You got Bazz B showing his honest opinion and annoyance/hostility to someone with a similar stoic personality as Haschwalth, something Bazz B clearly could do towards Haschwalth himself if Kubo used the classic "hateful ex friends" trope on them
My personal headcanon for Cang Du and Bazz B dynamic is Bazz B projecting his pent-up frustrations with Haschwalth all this time to Cang Du. Because you see, both these stoic motherfuckers are awfully loyal to the Quincy King (even more ironic how one brings death to another out of loyalty). Bazz B already lost his one and only genuine friend, he didn't want another unfortunate soul dedicating themselves to a being who only saw them as disposable chess pawns and fodder for his power up in the end of the day
Bazz B might placed his former friend in a high regard and utter respect (a kind of subversion to the trope), but there's still an obvious great rift between them. That no matter what Bazz B did or said, he could never reach up to Haschwalth ever again, he could never mend their friendship back to how it was. It's a one-sided relationship built on the ruins of their former friendship that took Haschwalth in his dying state to realize how foolish he is for abandoning that genuine bond just for the unhealthy transactional one with Yhwach he saw as much befitting (before BAM Auswählen)
This could lead to Bazz B arguing with the surviving Cang Du about the matter of revenge against Yhwach after the first Auswählen during the second war. Bazz B knowing the true nature of Yhwach, Cang Du still firmly believing in Yhwach yet couldn't help but feeling torn apart from the obvious betrayal. And this time, Bazz B got a different, better outcome compared to the past heated argument between him and Haschwalth that lead to the end of their friendship: Cang Du finally gives up and sides with him
P.S. Consider Bazzdu as parallel to Hanamichi-Rukawa (from Slam Dunk) in their Bleach OP 17 Modern AU version
