Just Roll With It is an extremely powerful dnd podcast, it has two completed campaigns (well technically others to but idk about those lol) and two on-going ones

Just Roll With It; Riptide(the main campaign which is currently on-going) and its 100+ hundred episodes are all out on YouTube and Spotify for free, aswell as the first 5 episodes of Just Roll With It; Prime Defenders(which is their patreon campaign and has 2 completed seasons and will at some point get a 3rd), the first episodes of both Just Roll With It; Apotheosis & Just Roll With It; Blood in The Bayou(which are their completed campaigns which are up in their entirety on the patreon)

JRWI; Riptide follows three pirates, a green autistic fish man, a ginger with a gun, and a bastard who swears he's not gay (no one believes him)

JRWI; Prime Defenders is about 3(which turns into 4, which turns back into 3, which turns back into 4) amateur superheros, an adhd pizza gremlin who is somehow the most normal in the group, an elf with a knife, a guy who's such a loser he can't even die right, (and the 4th guy is the best girlboyperson you ever did see)

JRWI; Apotheosis is the best campaign and it has everything, pathetic men, a gender queer character, murderous robot guy, arch angel who is constantly moaning, lizards, biblically accurate androgynous gay sex, oh and they slay gods or whatever

JRWI; Blood in The Bayou is about a trans and gay nightmare blunt rotation, is also set in the 80s

You know what, figure I'd make a post about this, but if it wasn't clear my current intentions ARE to make the Slay the Princess AU into its own full blown game.

Later I'm probably going to need some help with a couple of things, but for now I'll just be focusing on writing and concept art. I don't wanna pull other people into the project until I feel like there's a solid base for the game, just so that it doesn't end up in development hell. Writing is most likely going to take months, especially since I have other things I also want to work on and I am aiming to get employed this year. So don't expect it too soon.

My goals for the project isn't just to make a Slay the Princess AU where characters are superficially swapped out and the story is the same, it does have its own plot and its own routes, it's going to be quite different and likely have way too much detail if I follow through on all my plans. I aim to finish a lot of my projects if not this year then next year, but since it's going to need a fuck ton of elements to come together, again, don't expect it anytime soon.

I will share pieces of art and vague bits of writing when I feel like it, but I will avoid dumping anything major except in the scenario where I abandon this project. I don't plan to do that but I have the ND brain and it's very hard to keep my focus narrowed on one thing for too long (you can probably tell this by now).

Don't expect a demo or anything. If the game gets made it's coming out done or not at all. Nobody would be getting early access except for play testers.

i try to draw rumi and the forgiver making out sloppy style but they can't because rumi doesnt have a mouth and the forgiver is chronically upside-down. this is so fucking sad.

Making the process of writing the Slay the Princess AU a bajillion times harder because I have to account for how many times you meet the Retributer or Forgiver. If you complete a Peter route you would meet the Retributer and if you complete an Exandroth route you would meet the Forgiver. Ideally you'd want to balance the vessels you offer up so that the two become aware of each other, but it would be possible that you can only Peter routes or Exandroth routes and that would lead to different overall endings.

Anyways, this is why you shouldn't present me with any opportunity to write a visual novel because I'll start overcomplicating everything.

I'm going to have to revise all the options in Slay the Princess so I can write how the choices initially diverge, but I definitely have already settled on the idea that if you choose to leave Peter in the basement he dies succumbing to how long he has been trapped down there. The world is saved, yipee!!

SOLSOL :3c I played slay the princess and now I can properly freak out Abt ur apot slay the princess au ... after I finished I was like omg now I get why exandroth is the princess she's fucked up fucked up slash VERY Positive I love the princess sm and exandroth / peter as her fits so good peter the damsel supremacy

i forget how much ive publicly said abt the au but SHAKES YOU I LOVE THE AU I LOVE IT. ive had no time to think abt my art projects in the past few days but once im free from my shackles (working on apothybang) i will come back with a VENGEANCE.

Thinking about the Slay the Princess au forever now.

Smiling to myself and giggling because it's sooo funny to me. Routes with Peter is just having fun with a little guy, a little guy that wants to get out of the cabin, who you may or may not be in mutually in love with. You get to have a nice time. He basically stays relatively the same, all his routes very niceys. Every1 happy everything niceys angelstone love is real!!

Then every Exandroth route is horrible as he tears u apart over and over and changes into something monstrous and horrible that wants to kill you.

When you're done with each route you meet the Forgiver and the Retributer. Just a pair of souls that have lost sight of what they were, and need to piece together the shadows of truths to see the bigger picture.

I think there's an implication that the Princess is expressing their godly grievances through their fragmented self even if they don't understand why. Like Exandroth is so unreasonably nasty but only because there is a part of it that want to lash out in anger at what has been wrongfully done to it. Maybe the Forgiver/Retributer actually apologises for this, idk.

Also, I just think it'd be neat if the different fragments of Rumi drew inspiration from the old gods.. Which is why Rumi hates them so much subconsciously even if they don't consciously understand why.
