Restoration and post series Josie Beaumont
Josie stayed with Caboose of course and spent months worried about Tucker
She still has her a.i from the project and is, in fact, at risk.
When the Epsolon recording flickers on she just groans "motherfucker"
And then Church is like "I need your help Caboose. And you definitely need mine- don't start with me Josie. You need my help."
They go to the reds and Josie is like "Hey guys remember when I didn't let you die?"
Then the YouTube video format explanation happens and she's just done.
This is bullshit.
They break in for the memory unit and then Tucked shows up and she's like "why?"
Josie proceeds to try to save Caboose, is holding back, and gets her Achilles tendon cut.
Thanks to her healing unit and modified genetics she recovers after an hour, Caboose has to carry her out of the room.
Tucker is having a shit day.
More things happen.
Josie fights Meta with Carolina and Tex, is actually killed and revived thanks to Simmons. she ends up in a medical coma for like, a month
She stops holding back
She finally loses Omikron (her ai) to the storage unit.
When she wakes up she just leaves. She's in bluebase medbay afterall.
She goes to Tucker's room and knocks
"Hey sorry I almost killed you." Is the first thing she says
he laughs and pulls her into a hug.
Theh all get their shit together the end.

Josephine Beaumont/ Agent West Virginia
Fandom: Red vs blue
Full name: Josephine Catherine Beaumont
Alias: Beaumont, West Virginia
Team: Blue
A.I.: Omikron, later epsilon for a bit
Gender: Demi-girl
Pronouns: She/they
Armor color: dark purple
Languages: English and French some Spanish but she adores the Lopez vs idiot struggle too much to help
Nickname: Josie, Jo, West
Sexuality: Polyromantic Bisexual
Love intrests: Tucker and Washington
Role in team: She's the mom friend that helps start the fuckery. She's there with Bobby pins and Tylenol, but first hold her beer and watch her do a back hand spring. She slows down some but not much.
Background:
She grew up next door to Simmons, they were basically siblings. When Simmons was shipped off to private school at 15 for being gay? Rage. Rage. Fucking rage.
Josie said fuck you to her family and joined project Freelancer as soon as she could after Simmons left, becuase her dad was a hard ass. And her mom had died in a car accident the year before.
She was okay in the project and immediately became friends with Washington. She was drawn to him. They were both immature then, and it worked. They ended up having a Thing.
She improved quickly through a mix of determination and experiments they subjected her to. She was genetically modified as a young adult and is Very Durable but suffers chronic pain for it.
When she joined the main freelancer team with York, Carolina, North, Maine, and the others, she fit in. Mostly because she wasn't looking for power, just a place to be.
After the project was shut down, Josie said whatever, and joined the blue team around the same time Caboose did.
Josie couldn't decide about Church at first but decided he was okay, if you can get past the prickly asshole Part that is. She can, it takes a while and an injury, but he reminds her of Omikron so she's okay.
And she decided Tucker was funny if not demeaning. But they bonded slowly, and that's a solid friendship. Sam even begins to fall for him. Honestly, those two flirt the way Simmons and Griff do. Once she realized he was more than a wanna be player, she warmed up to him. He'll she started to find him funny.
Caboose ends up being Josie's little brother, she has a soft spot for him and protects him at all times. He likes her becuase she reminds him of his own sister.
Simmons and Josie are dense but civil enough. Once they figure out who the other is they're close as can be again, best friends and family all over. Absolutely inseparable after wards.
Griff and Josie are definitely a mess. Those two are horrible becuase they both bitch gossip while Sam cooks and grif smokes and then they eat. But no one dies when their together usually.
Sarge is someone Josie decides is her eccentric grandfather, he's fucking wild and weird but loyal and he's okay enough.
Josie and Wash are definitely rocky after her accident that lands her on blue team. They're a will they won't they couple almost but Wash is so betrayed when Sam keeps siding with the Sim troopers in arguments. Once he's accepted by the group they become close again though.
Carolina and Josie are on okay terms most of the time. They were teammates before, and Sam has always admired Carolina's drive.
Omikron and Sam have a close relationship becuase Omikron was Alpha's stubbornness and loyalty. Despite the experiments Sam went through with omikron and thr damage done to her by the A.I., they're very close which is probably why Sam warms to Church and Epsilon so fast later.

Josie is standing before Tucker's room dressed in nothing but her kevlar undersuit. Though she still has knives strapped to her thigh. She dosen’t like to feel defenseless in a warzone.
She's exhuasted after trying to take down Felix today.
She knocks, waiting for whatever happens next.
Tucker opens the door, in lose sweat pants. He looks her over and gives a low whistle, "damn Josie, visiting me in next to nothing late at night?"
She laughs, "Can I come in?"
"Yeah, sure."
He steps aside, and she walks in.
"Can't sleep?" Tucker asks, trying to figure out what she's doing here.
"Not really. You can't either."
"Sho says?"
"You're up, aren't you?" She gives him a soft smile, the real one she hides from people because she thinks it's dorky and stupid.
Tucker is struck by just how genuine she's become around him. The others too, but she is genuine around him.
His whole persona is being a play boy! And she trusts him.
He snorts, "guess I am, sweet cheeks."
She laughs this time. She likes that name, from him at least. If someone else called her that she'd tell them off. But for whatever reason, when Tucker calls her that it makes her happy.
It didn't used to, but somewhere along the lime she warmed up to it. Maybe it's because she warmed up to him.
Josie sits herself in his bed, leaning back on her hands as she looks at him.
"Thanks, for stepping up." She says.
Tucker blinks, taken aback by both the words and the image of her on his bed.
"Uh- sure thing. Someone had to."
"I appreciate it though, Tucker. I'm glad I'm not the only one leading."
"Yeah well... we make a good team, don't we?"
"Of course we do!" She tilts her head, thinking.
"What's on your mind, Josie?"
"I miss the others... It's weird to be away from Wash again."
"You really love him, huh?" Tucker asks.
And it hurts, knowing that Josie is hedlad over heels for the ex freelancer.
It hurts that Wash is so gone on her he dosen’t even look at anyone else.
But he's seen Wash and Josie together, they fit together better than anyone he's ever seen but Simmons and Grif.
"You do too." Josie says simply.
"What?"
"At the very least you like him. I'm not stupid, Tucker, you two have a thing."
"You're fucking with me. It's not fucking funny, Josie. Next you'll tell me you're interested in me."
"And what if I do? Would that be so awful?"
"Don't fuck with me." Tucker says, crosshis arms firmly.
"I'm not. Do you need me to lay it all out?"
"Might as well, since you're so sure how I feel."
Josie sighs, turning her gaze to the wall for a moment. But she looks back at Tucker. Her hair sways as she crosses her legs.
"You already know Wash and I have this- thing."
Tucker rolls his eyes. "Everyone knows."
"Wash and I aren't together, never have been. I know you have a thing for him, which, I totally get by the way."
"So what? Just because he's hot doesn't mean-"
"Tucker," Josie interrupts, "Don't bullshit me. I know you."
"Whatever."
Josie takes that as a win. She continues, "But more than that I have a thing for you. And I think you like me too. Or I would like to think you do."
"Wait- you're serious?"
"I've told lots of lies, Tucker. But I wouldn't lie about this. Not to you."
And Tucker nearly chokes. He knows she's lied. She faked her own death, created a new barley different identity, and kept her A.I hidden. She'd withheld info from Wash back when he was hunting them
Hell. Josie had even admitted to sneaking out as a teen.
But she sounds so earnest. And she hasn't ever lied outright to Tucker only kept things hidden to protect herself or others. But never outright lie.
"Fuck." Tucker manages.
"This is the part where you tell me of you have a thing for me or not."
"Are you kidding? Of course I do you dumb bitch."
"Women don't usually appreciate being called that." Josie says, smiling nonetheless. "But it's good to know how you feel."
"You don't expect me to fall into being your boyfriend do you?" Tucker asks.
And he doesn't know what answer he wants.
She laughs, shaking her head. "No, there's a lot of talking that should happen before we slap any real label on us. There's the whole "we like Wash" thing."
"Yeah. I guess."
"How about for now you just come sleep with me?"
"Bow chicka bow wow!"
She rolls her eyes, "You know what I meant."
"I can dream."
"You don't to, we can try that later. But for right now, come lay your ass down and sleep."
"Bossy."
"You like that."
"I really do." Tucker agrees.
He joins her on the bed. They lay down and curl under the blanket. He finds that he likes having her in his space aren't he falls asleep.
Tucker wakes up before Josie for the first time he can remember. He's sprawled across his bed, one arm around her.
She's curls up with her back to him. He wild curls spread haphazardly about them both.
She's still breathing slow and steady, dead to the world as he moves to sit up.
"Josie?" Tucker asks softly.
"Ngh?" She groans, stirring.
"Josie."
"Shhhh...."
"Josie wake up."
"No." She says, closing her eyes harder.
Tucker snorts. Struck by the way the artificial light highlights her scars.
Josie opens one eye and looks at him "mhh, mornin' Tucker."
"Morning, sweetcheeks."
"You're awful flirty."
"I just go after what I like."
"Good."
And she's sitting up, smiling again at him. She's done that a lot lately.
"You are a menace when you sleep. You tried to kick me."
"Sorry. I forgot about that."
Tucker just rolls his eyes. Of course she did. The menace.
His menace though.
Wait-
"I should go get ready. See you at breakfast?"
"Like I'd skip breakfast."
She just snorts as she stands up.
She grabs her knives she left on his nights and and heads out.
And this time, Tucker dosen’t feel any guilt for staring at her as she leaves.

Migraine day
*this is all pre-character development and so they are still at their worst rn. This is the start of Tucker showing Josie he isn't the worst towards women. (Eventually I will wrote a cohesive story with them swearsies)
-------
It's months after Josie arrives to bloodgulch that she is fully incapacitated by her chronic illness and pain. The migraine and muscle spasms have her hiding in the dark of her room.
Church has taken pity on her and sent Caboose out with Shiela to do something. The man dosen’t show care well but he understands the pain.
There's banging on her door and she whines into her pillow. "Go away."
"Sweetcheeks! Come on lunch is ready-"
"Fuck off." Josie snaps, harsher than she has been in her whole time here. She can't make herself deal with this shit.
"Woah, you don't gotta be a bitch-"
"I will eat your fucking kidneys, get the fuck away from my door, asshole." Josie growls loudly, trying to keep her breathing even as another muscle spasm starts.
"What's got your panties in a bunch?"
"Tucker leave her the fuck alone." Church snaps as footsteps approach her door. "She feels like shit."
"What is she on the rag?"
"Dude what the fuck?" Church manages, trying to decide how stupid his teammate is.
"You dumb asshole, I'm- God fucking damn it!" Josie breaks off into cursing and whimpers as pain tears violently down her back.
There's silence, and Josie thanks every deity she can conceptualize regardless of knowledge.
"Sorry I asked if you were on the rag..." Tucker says, sounding odd.
"Please fuck off." Josie groans, curling together.
Footsteps recede, and she allows herself to whine again. She can't do this. She can't do it. She dosen’t know how she's going to survive this without her old team.
She's had migraines and muscle spasms since she got here. But she's been able to push through them. Bit this set-
She thinks she might like to try dying again.
"You need to drink more liquids." Omikron chimes as he flickers to life above her.
"Fuck. That. Moving is agony."
"I know."
Josie loses track of time, managing to drink a little liquid. With all the water gone, she has personally resorted to Gatorade she procures from an UNSC contact.
She startles when someone enters her room, the lifht causing a full body flinch and a keen of pain. The door shuts quickly though.
"Hey uh... I brought you a protein shake and uh- some more pillows." Tucker says.
"What?" Josie asks dumbly.
"Look I get it. Chronic pain sucks. Or well- I don't but you know what I mean."
"Oh. Shit- thanks?"
Tucker sets the protein shake on her bedside table and sets segral pillows beside her on the bed. "My sister has migraines... they're a bitch."
"You have a sister and talk to women the way you do?" Josie manages, though her voice pauses a few times.
"You're not the first to think that." Tucker says, "Did you want some pain killers?"
"I couldn't find them."
"I'll get some."
"Does upir sister know you're a raging dough nugget?"
"Marcy hates it." He admits, not bothering to elaborate.
She dosen’t press. But she thinks it bumanzies him a little. He's still a massive asshole, but like- human.
Tucker leaves again. Josie just slumps backwards.
She allows herself to adjust the pillows to better hold her weight. She relishes the comfort Omikron sends through her mind. Her ever loyal friend.
When Tucker comes back he hands her some pain killers. "Here."
"Thank you." Josie manages.
"Yeah well, I'm not a total asshole."
Josie dosen’t know what to say to that. But she swalllws the pills without question.
Josie takes a slow breath, rubbing her temples. She's fine. This is fine.
"Here." Tucker says, setting a cold eye mask on her stomach.
"Where did you get this?"
"Don't worry about it."
Josie wants to argue. But she’s in no position. She groans as yet another muscle spasm down her spine rips through her.
She places the mask on her face and immediately bates the new temperature. But it will help probably. She's willing to try.
"Can- do you want anything else?"
"I don't even know. Thank you though."
"Alright. Uh- call if you need me."
Josie makes a choice. She hates to be alone when she's in pain. And Tucker is right here.
And yes, he is a sexist asshole who calls her weird pet names. Yes, he is derogatory towards women. Yes he is a selfish man.
And yet he came and helped her. More than any one else here has. He hasn't made one sexjoke since he came in.
"Can- can you stay?" Josie asks.
"You sure?"
"I asked, didn't I?"
Tucker snorts at that, "Okay sweetcheeks."
Josie still dosen’t love that name but whatever. She's been called worse.
He sits on the ground beside her bed, running over stories from his life. The longer he talks the less he thinks. He ends up talking about his sister a little, and his nephew.
He talks about Church and the man's bitching mood. He talks about how they ended up drinking ketchup. He talks about captain flowers who he knew for less than two days.
Josie just listens. He's still a coarse asshole, and when he talks about women that aren't his sister he's crass as hell, but he has really opened her eyes.
He's still a major asshole... but like- not a complete utter duchebag.
Josie falls asleep to the sound of him talking. And when she wakes up hours later Tucker is there still, stretched out on the floor asleep.
She frowns as she squints at his form, that can't be comfortable. She's not a huge fan but he just spent hours helping her, so she's not going to just let him sleep on the floor.
So, she calls his name until he wakes up.
"What?" Tucker croaks.
"That dosen’t seem comfortable." Josie says simply.
"Are you offering ypir bed?"
"Not that way for sure."
Tucker just laughs. He has no issue with Josie. He thinks she's funny and bad ass.

More Josephine Beaumont
Technically the freelancers had a polycule in the past so that's fun! Josie was never officially in it but she would have been given more time (more about that here)
Josie has a metal spine, enhanced speed strength and healing via gentrification modification. (Thanks project freelancer!)
She has chronic pain from a combination of injuries and aftereffects of the scientific experiments. She also suffers migrains after concussions fucker her up
Her top speed (sprinting) is 29 mph and her top long term sustainable speed she can hold is about 22 mph (these are all unlikey/unnatural speed thanks project freelancer!)
Josie is REALLY bad at bowling, has rolled only gutter backs 90% of the time
Josie was number 5 on the pfl leaderboard towards the end. She's very dangerous. She specialized in infiltration and intel
Josie's weaknesses in fighting: she occasionally gets tunnel focus, even though she has uncanny speed and strength she still feels all the pain, she perfect defense and turns out sometimes
Because of the enhancements these weaknesses aren't so bad and fighting most people she seems unstoppable but the other freelancers, and people like Locus are capable of taking her down
She likes music and can play guitar
She's good at cooking
Abandonment issues, when pfl tried to kill her to see if their experiments would work or not she was left alone for like, three weeks amd labeled MIA likely dead
Josie hates Nikiminaj with a passion
She's terrified of needles (Caboose holds her hand when she hast to deal woth it)
She has the best communication out of the main crew but also hates talking about her feelings
She has nightmares and sleepwalks
She has ptsd obviously, and intense trust issues even with friends
She's terrified that she's never going to escape the project or all the blood she's spilled in their name
Josie can not dance. White People club dancing (you know what I mean)
She's allergic to certain metals, also pollen
When she and Wash reunited there were some Thoughts. And then he worked with the Meta and her trust issues got So Much Worse
She is so fucked up guys. She just- chooses kindness because it'd a way to spite the part of her that sounds like everyone who's hurt her
She's loyal despite everything actually. But like- way too loyal. She woukd burn down the whole fucking world and dance in the ashes for someone she loved regardless of trust issues
Loses herself to wrath everyone in awhile. Not pretty
Threatened to kill Grif violently if he ever breaks Simmons's heart (meant it too bc that is the only man she trusts fully rn)
Caboose is her adopted brother and she loves him very much
But after Wash comes back to her She talks to Doc and Shiela and she realizes she is NOT Okay (TM)
So she starts reading mental health articles online and it's NOT actually therapy tbh but she's learning and putting in work.
So she starts to realize that if she can Trust Anybody (but Simmons and Caboose bc she already trusts them for reasons.) She can trust the Sim troopers that have only ever accepted her good and bad
She goes to real therapy after it's all over. And she writes letters to the paper freelancers that didn't make it apologizing for the way it all ended
Josie is definitely not a perfect woman, bit she tries. And even at her lowest she has tried to help.

Beaumont is something of a legend. The life she left behind haunts the narrative if you will.
But thanks to the scientific experimentation she's super durable!
So, she's hid her status as an ex- freelancer and the fact she still possesses her A.I with great luck.
And then Tex shows up. And promptly dosen’t say shit. Okay.
And then Washington shows up. And her entire life gets fucked up.
"Wash?" She blinks at the man who's showed up to hee new assignment, Caboose and Church in tow.
"West? You're supposed to be dead."
"Aboit that."
"You know her?" Church asks.
"That's West Virginia of course I know her." Washington sighs.
"Surprise?"
"You're a freelanver?!" Church groans.
"Ex freelancer."
"Won't matter. Someone's hunting us down." Wash says sharply.
"Again? Where's tex when I need her?"
