Josh, dressed up with a magician's black hat and cape with a red bowtie, has found a blue paw print on a picture of his cousin Joe. Josh draws Joe on his notebook as a happy squarish head with small ears, a V-shaped jawline, and curly hair.
I'm not sorry, this is a-Joe-rable 🥹

How Broadway prepared josh Dela Cruz Blue’s Clues and you
After a casting process that saw over 3,000 applicants Joshua Dela Cruz was selected as Blue’s newest cerataker .
growing up josh had no grand dream of fame or to star on the stage or screen, but had instead considered a creer in law or becoming a music teacher. Through he admired he watched a lot of tv growing up raised on Saturday morning cartoons Sunday afternoon action movies. It wasn’t until one year in high school that he was given a scholarship to study musical theater during the summer holidays at paper mill playhouse a regional theater in New Jerseys.
It was there that’s I received felt so at home performing josh told 10 play .
i love theater I love acting because it was a way to communicate. It was my way to be comfortable. It was my to be honest and to be comfortable. It was my to be honest and to be comfortable at being vulnerable, he said.
with his parents support behind him josh went to uni and studied musical theatre with led him to a career on Broadway- starring in Aladdin five or so years.

this is for the reblogger who tagged the People article link I posted with “let Joe have a special too” but also the rest of us who feel like Steve or Joe isn't present enough in the reboot
first up let's list Joe's visible appearances so far:
Meet Josh!
Happy Birthday Blue
123's with Blue
Bluestock
Blue's Night Before Christmas
Blue's Mystery Present
Mailtime Mystery
Joshini the Amazing (Joe is literally a clue here!)
Blue's Big City Adventure
The Case of the Missing Thinking Chair
color code: purple means Joe appears on his own (5 episodes), green means Steve is with him (4 episodes and 1 movie)
Steve has yet to appear ever in an episode without Joe involved, but given how close these two are, I doubt that Steve would exclude his little brother that easily
Joe's present store is visited several times while only once have we really visited Steve's detective agency
meanwhile, episodes the bros have written or directed so far:
Playdate with Magenta (Steve co-directed)
Big News with Blue (Steve co-directed)
Welcome to Blue's Bistro (Steve wrote, co-directed)
Blue's Night Before Christmas (Steve wrote, co-directed)
Blue's Big Imagination (Donovan co-directed)
Blue's Beach Bonanza (Steve wrote)
The Ghost of the Living Room (Steve wrote)
Blue's Dino Clues (Donovan co-directed)
Blue's Storytime with Camila (Steve wrote)
Joshini the Amazing (Steve wrote)
Knights of the Snack Table (Steve wrote)
Night at the Blueseum (Donovan co-wrote)
The Case of the Missing Thinking Chair (Steve wrote, co-directed)
so what's all this listing for?
Joe appears in more episodes of this reboot than Steve who has built himself substantial experience as director and writer
in effect, “let Joe have a special too” is a wish that's already been granted several times now
and finally if I'm really wishing for something here it's an episode that Donovan writes and directs because unlike Steve, Donovan has yet to have done both kinds of work on the same episode (writing and directing and acting are not easy, what more is juggling at least two of these jobs?)
thank you
