His full name is Walter Joseph Kovacs, born 1940. Mother's name: Sylvia Joanna Kovacs, formally Sylvia Glick. His father's name is unknown.
He's 5'6" tall and weighs 140 lbs. for his age, he's in excellent physical shape dispite a lot of bruises and lacerations mostly sustained during his arrest.
The police have beaten him pretty badly. During the police strike of '77 he made several inflammatory anti-cop statements, and they've never forgotten.
The cops don't like him; the underworld doesn't like him; nobody likes him. I've never met someone quite so alienated. How on earth did he get like this?

Since Broadway is shut down, I’m gonna reflect on the Broadway shows I’ve seen
Beetlejuice: Alex. Brightman. He’s amazing. I went in October so they handed out these cute pins. I was in the orchestra, so right by the stage. Ryan Breslin waved at me during the bows! Best performances go to Alex Brightman, Leslie Kritzer, and Dana Steingold. And Sandy tbh. Best character goes to Miss Argentina, Delia, and Otho. And Sandy. Best song goes to Home. Best part goes to the game show part, especially Otho.
Be More Chill: Honestly, this was probably my least favorite show. I don’t have much to say about it. Like...George Salazar was amazing. Will Roland was too. Besides that...eh? I also saw it before the cast recording came out, so I was disappointed by Pitiful Children. Best performance goes to George Salazar. Best character goes to Michael. Best song goes to Michael In The Bathroom. Best part goes to “Michael makes an entrance”.
The Book of Mormon: I saw this with my mom... Awkward. Especially Joseph Smith American Moses. But it was absolutely hilarious! I loved every second of it. My mom did too. And she didn’t yell at me after! I also found it hilarious that there’s a church across from the theatre. Also, the theatre was the most gorgeous one I’ve been to. Best performance goes to Stephen Ashfield and whoever played Jesus. Best character goes to Elder McKinley. Best song goes to Turn It Off (the vests, man). Best part is a tie, Spooky Mormon Hell Dream (not the best song because I liked the staging more than the actual song) and literally every line Jesus has.
The Cher Show: This was my first one that I still remember well. I also saw Stephanie J. Block without knowing who she was, so... That was fun. Anyway, I thought the show was amazing, especially the choreography and the costumes. Best performance goes to Teal Wicks. Best character goes to Sonny Bono. Best song goes to I Got You Babe, Just Like Jesse James, and If I Could Turn Back Time (I know... It’s a lot). Best part goes to the classic Sonny line, “Stupid tree.”
Dear Evan Hansen: Underwhelming finale. Besides that, it was amazing. The most emotions I’ve felt in a single show. I also accidentally made Alex Boniello break character... I don’t know how, all I did was look at him. And the lady next to me pulled a banana out during intermission... It was weird. Anyway! Best performance goes to Michael Lee Brown. Best character goes to Connor and Jared. Best song goes to You Will Be Found and So Big / So Small. Best part goes to that dance in Sincerely, Me... You know the one.
Hadestown: Magical. Worth the price. Best show experience I’ve ever had. Right before the show, we found out that Andre DeShields was out, and Anthony Chatmon II would be making his Hermes debut. And he killed it. I had no idea it was his debut until I saw it on his Instagram, and I never would’ve guessed. Best performance goes to Reeve Carney and Anthony Chatmon II. Best character goes to Eurydice and Persephone. Best song goes to Wait For Me. Best part goes to the swingy lamps.
Little Shop of Horrors: Also worth the price. Sadly, no Christian Borle. But Chris Dwan was absolutely amazing. Literally the only issue I had with this was Orin never riding out on a motorcycle... Just kidding. Kind of. This show technically shouldn’t be on the list since it was off-Broadway, but...it counts. Anyway, the finale... a bit weird. But it was good. Best performance goes to Gideon Glick for sure. Best character goes to Seymour (Audrey is usually my favorite). Best song goes to Suddenly Seymour and Ya Never Know. Best part goes to Gideon Glick’s dancing. He’s adorable.
Oklahoma!: I knew nothing about this show going in and had extremely low expectations, but it blew me away. Sadly, no Ali Stroker. However, I loved Sasha Hutchings’s performance. And Damon Daunno... Wow. He’s so talented. I also loved everything about Poor Jud Is Dead (Pore Jud Is Daid). Patrick Vaill was perfect. Will Brill was hilarious. Best performance...this is a lot...Patrick Vaill, Will Brill, and Damon Daunno. Best characters, Ado Annie, Ali Hakim, and Aunt Eller. Best songs, Can’t Say No, Pore Jud Is Daid, and It’s a Scandal! It’s a Outrage! Best part is the wedding scene and Pore Jud Is Dead (miles around!)
The Prom: I begged to go to this show. Partially for Anthony Norman, I’m not gonna lie. Fun fact: I saw Patrick Page going into the Walter Kerr while waiting to go inside! Okay, so, Beth Leavel was spectacular. The choreography was amazing (especially the male ensemble). The costumes were also very nice. Best performance goes to Beth Leavel. Best character goes to Barry and Trent. Best song goes to Unruly Heart. Best part goes to all the promposals in You Happened, as well as the male ensemble’s dancing.

See Photos of Jonathan Groff, Tammy Blanchard, and Christian Borle in Little Shop of Horrors
By Nathan Skethway, Marc J. Franklin
Oct 15, 2019
The Off-Broadway revival of the Howard Ashman and Alan Menken musical, directed by Michael Mayer, opens October 17.
Seymour and Audrey live again, as the Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors continues preview performances. And now, fans of the show and its stars—Jonathan Groff, Tammy Blanchard, and Christian Borle—can see how the trio of Broadway faves are bringing the beloved characters to life.
The revival of the Howard Ashman and Alan Menken classic, featuring Kingsley Leggs as The Voice of Audrey II and directed by Tony winner Michael Mayer (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), began performances September 17 at the Westside Theatre.
In Little Shop, Seymour discovers a mysterious—and voracious—plant that suddenly thrusts him into an epic battle that will determine the fate of the entire human race.
The cast of the revival, which is scheduled through January 2020, also includes Tom Alan Robbins as Mushnik, Ari Groover as Ronnette, Salome Smith as Crystal, Joy Woods as Chiffon, Stephen Berger, Chris Dwan, Kris Roberts, Chelsea Turbin, Eric Wright, and Teddy Yudain.
Little Shop is set to open October 17. Tony nominee Gideon Glick (To Kill a Mockingbird, Significant Other) will play Seymour for two weeks, November 5–17, while Groff is on a scheduled leave.
Rounding out the creative team are choreographer Ellenore Scott (Head Over Heels associate), Tony-nominated scenic designer Julian Crouch (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), two-time Tony-winning lighting designer Bradley King (Hadestown), Emmy-winning costume designer Tom Broecker (Everyday Rapture), Tony-winning sound designer Jessica Paz (Hadestown), Emmy-nominated puppet designer Nicholas Mahon (Pyeongchang Olympics Opening Ceremony), puppets by Monkey Boys Productions, and music supervisor, orchestrator, and arranger Will Van Dyke (Pretty Woman).
Little Shop is produced by Tom Kirdahy, Robert Ahrens, Hunter Arnold, Mickey Liddell, Caiola Productions, Curt Cronin, John Joseph, DDM Productions, Desantis-Baugh Productions, Elizabeth Dewberry & Ali Ahmet Kocabiyik, Wendy Federman, Roy Furman, Deborah Green, Kayla Greenspan, Marguerite Hoffman, Sally Cade Holmes, Latitude Link, Seriff Productions, Silva Theatrical Group, and Eric Gelb/Oliver Roth.
Casting is by Jim Carnahan, CSA, and general management is by Live Wire Theatrical/Chris Aniello.

About Our Guests
Josh Fruhlinger is the author of the daily blog, The Comics Curmudgeon and the host of the monthly comedy show, The Internet Read Aloud. Josh was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, leaving him with a love of chicken wings and a tendency to say pop. He taught ancient Greek and Roman history to undergraduates before fleeing from academia in terror; worked for a failed San Francisco dot-com that neglected to supply him with stock options or an Aeron chair; lived in Berlin, where he mostly ate Indian and Ethiopian food; and finished in third place on his sole Jeopardy! appearance (the correct answer was Golda Meir). He lives in Los Angeles with his wife Amber and their cat Dr. Lisa. Hes been reading the entire comics section every day for as long as he can remember.
Jordan Morris in his own words: I wrote for (and occasionally appeared on) Comedy Central's Emmy-winning late night show, @Midnight. Some other credits include: Unikitty for Cartoon Network, Good Mythical Morning for YouTube and projects for Funny or Die, Geek & Sundry and Rifftrax. In the world of podcasting, I created the sci-fi comedy, Bubble. It was called one of the Best Podcasts of 2018 by Rolling Stone, Apple Podcasts and The Atlantic. Im also the co-host of Jordan, Jesse, Go!, a totally nonsensical chat show with Jesse Thorn (NPR) and a cavalcade of celebrity guests.
Femmedy Trio is an all-female comedic music group created by Stacey Hardke, Dahlya Glick, and Gabi Van Horn. With their sassy strength and clever lyrics, these ladies create funny, feminist tunes to save the world!

A Work of Street Art: The Best Murals in Nashville
Tumblr media
As Nashville continues to grow, so does its street art scene. And the more I deviate from my normal route in Nashville—thanks, traffic!—the more I see bold, new murals popping up daily. I absolutely love it. They’re unavoidable, they’re stunning, and they really dress the place us.
Tumblr media
I’ve spent the past several years photographing every mural I’ve found. This is an exhaustive list of murals we’ve tracked down in every corner of Nashville, but my no means all of them, as street artists are adding to Music City’s cultural fabric daily thanks in part to creative pioneers like the Nashville Walls Project, which has been connecting both local and international artists with building owners for a handful of years.
Tumblr media
Still, whether you’re a local looking for a Spring Break staycation idea or traveling around Music City’s many neighborhoods on your next weekend getaway, I hope you’ll use this handy map as your guide—and drop descriptions of any murals you find that I may have missed in the comments so I can add them accordingly.
Note: This post was last updated in March 2019.
Germantown
The neighborhood I spend most of my time in thanks to my yoga studio’s location is also one that’s quite walkable and boasts a growing number of restaurants. Park your car near Werthan Lofts and hit up these walls and murals by foot.

Marathon Village
My friend Adrien Saporiti (formerly of DCXV Industries) is the brains behind the iconic “I Believe in Nashville” mural, which has been posted more than one million times from seven different continents and which you can now see in Marathon Village, Riverside Village and in 12South. I prefer the Marathon Village location as it’s usually devoid of large crowds (though parking is tricky), plus you can visit Nelson’s Greenbrier and Corsair distilleries while there.

Clinton Street, 625 Main St. and 2702 12th Ave. S
Jefferson Street Corridor
For those interested in Civil Rights history, there are some fascinating pieces along Jefferson near the Tennessee State University campus, particularly beneath the I-40 underpass.

The Gulch
The “Wings mural” as many call it became the first conversation starter in the Gulch, but a number of bright, splashy creations have joined the fray this year so it’s worth strolling down 11th Avenue South to see else what you may find.

Note: The addition of Patagonia replaced this mural, which was one of my all-time favorites and a collaboration between Nathan Brown and Chris Zidek. I am happy, however, that Patagonia kept the general theme of the mural and also hired the same artist to do it!
Tumblr media
Plaza Artist Materials mural, artist: Maggie Sanger

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Country music icon murals (Dolly, Johnny, Loretta, etc.), artist: unknown
711 6th Ave. S (on the back of Ed’s Supply Company)
8th Avenue South + Wedgewood Houston
I predict this area rife in artist galleries and studios will be the next big neighborhood for murals if zoning codes don’t prevent them, but for now, you really have to go hunting to find them.
Tumblr media
Pastel geometrics mural, artist: unknown
429B Houston St. (patio of Jackalope Brewing Company’s Ranch)

#OleAllDay Tennessee Tristar mural, artist: unknown
462 Humphreys St. (on the side of Ole Rights Management)
Tumblr media
Life Can Be Sweet mural, artist: Susanna Chapman
1512 8th Ave. S (side of Baked on 8th)
Hillsboro Village
Hillsboro Village is changing dramatically; it’s now easier to arrive on foot than find parking. But if you can nab a coveted spot, there’s a paid lot behind Pancake Pantry just off Belcourt Avenue (be sure and get a ticket before you leave your car as meter maids here are brutal!). An hour is all you need to wander this small area on the Vanderbilt campus and snap a couple shots of its walls.
Tumblr media
Hillsboro Village dragon mural, artists: David Glick, Adam Randolph
2102 Belcourt Ave. (across from the Belcourt Theatre)
Tumblr media
Drippy Lips mural, artist: Donald “Drawbertson” Robertson
1814 21st Ave. S (on the side of UAL)
12South
12South is another one of those highly walkable ‘hoods with murals tucked around every corner. Park on one of the side streets—just make sure it’s not a residential-only parking area, as you will get a ticket—and walk from one length at Sevier Park to the other at 12South Flats.

Charlotte Ave./Sylvan Park
Many of the murals along Charlotte Avenue are located along one stretch installed by Off the Wall Charlotte, a project backed by the Greater Nashville Arts & Business Council with several corporate sponsors. They’re a bit tricky to reach by foot, so I recommend parking in the lot in front of AVO and crossing the street at the traffic light with your photographer poised on the other side of the busy road.

The Nations is very much up-and-coming, and this 160-foot-tall portrait of 91-year-old Nashville native Lee Estes painted on an old silo is one of its most famed residents. I love seeing more new businesses are commissioning pieces as a way to bring art lovers to this very hip ‘hood.

Music Row/Midtown
Midtown is getting a pop of color with some new street art painted down alleys and on parking garages. Music Row, which has a protected historic overlay, on the other hand, isn’t exactly brimming with street art, so you have to go in search of fun pieces like this by heading down Roy Acuff Lane on foot. Pro tip: Also grab a photo with the guitar installations outside of Studio B while you’re there.

Downtown is dotted with murals—like the Rainbow Walls that Instagram commissioned from Adrien Saporiti for IG’s #KindComments campaign in support of the LGBTQ community—but there are also a number of country music personalities like Johnny Cash who have their own dedicated pieces of art.

East Nashville
Of all the neighborhoods in town, East Nashville is the one most brimming with street art of all kinds—you’ll find it on the sides of buildings, you’ll see it hidden beneath construction zones, you’ll spy paintings on the backs of residential fences. The easiest way to see it all is to hop in the car with a friend and drive down Gallatin Pike to see what all you can find.

As Regan summed it up in her devastating analysis, “This failed rally sent the message that Jewish votes and voices don’t matter. They don’t even come out to a rally to fight anti-Semitism so why would a politician stand with Israel and the Jews if Jews don’t stand with Israel and the Jews.”
The American Jewish community is prioritizing its place at the Left’s table over being Jews. Why? Because of a mistaken belief that if we’re just better progressives, if we just support the people demonizing us, if we just compromise a little bit more, then we will be safe from our oppressors.
It’s like American Jews completely miss the lessons we are commanded to relearn each spring at Passover. Remember, the Jews in Egypt were enslaved in a day or through a mass campaign of force. It was little compromises we agreed to when the new Pharaoh, the one who did not know Joseph, came to power. We deluded ourselves, saying “it’s his adviser” or “it’s a fluke” or “he’ll remember what we did for his father.”
But he didn’t.
There is a new Pharaoh on the Left, or more accurately Pharaohs. And the new leaders don’t care about the fact that we marched at Selma, or helped with the voter registration drives, or Julius Rosenwald did. They don’t care.
Because all they see are Jews. And to them, even a “good Jew” is just a Zionist. And to them, a Zionist is second only to a Trump supporter when it comes to heresy.
And even when we see the evidence of their antisemitism, as a community, we don’t punish them for it. We allow them to take us for granted because they know that as a community, we have become slaves in our minds to the Left. Yes, there are some exceptions to the rule, but an overwhelming majority of American Jews cannot conceive of looking to the right of the aisle for an alternative.
Just like the Jews in Egypt, we have allowed the Left to enslave us and abuse us. And until we decide we are Jews, instead of progressives, first, we will continue to be enslaved and abused. And it will only get worse.

Me sentí absoluta y ‘animalmente’ feliz”.

Lucy Depp Settlement and Park 9360 Frabell Dr. Powell, OH 43065 Lucy Depp Park was a 102-acre development named for Lucinda Depp (1844-1929). She had inherited the land from her father, Abraham (1791-1858), an emancipated African American man and central Ohio pioneer from Powhattan County, Virginia. In early 1835, the newly manumitted family of Abraham Depp quietly and hurriedly packed their belongings and fled their plantation quarters in Powhatan County, Virginia. The Depp family was escaping to Ohio seeking the promise of freedom and equality. Purchasing 300 acres in Delaware County from Joseph Sullivant (third son of Franklinton Founder Lucas Sullivant), Abraham Depp established a settlement that has offered this promise to its residents for many years. Known historically as the Depp Settlement, the land was purchased by Robert Goode (1876-1957), a nephew of Lucy, and her husband Thomas A. Whyte (1845-1919), and developed as "Lucy Depp Park" in the mid-1920s. The park became a popular vacation spot as well as home site for African American families from Columbus and elsewhere in the segregated America before the Civil Rights movement of the 1950s and '60s. The SharedSpace Community Building at Lucy Depp Park is about 17 miles northwest of Columbus in scenic Concord Township, Delaware County. This 4-acre home-place, once part of the Underground Railroad, is the last Depp residence standing in Lucy Depp Park. It is located on the west side of the O’Shaughnessy Reservoir on Harriot Road, a mile north of the Scioto River bridge at Glick and Dublin Roads. As an Underground Railroad safe-haven and an early African-American-owned, lake-front summer resort, Lucy Depp provided a physical refuge and an emotional tonic to generations of families whose just and caring descendants continue to call it home. The Lucy Depp Park and The Depp Settlement Marker is near Powell, Ohio, in Delaware County, at the intersection of Harriott Road (County Route 131) and Frabell Drive (County Route 309), on the right when traveling east on Harriott Road.

Pastel geometrics mural, artist: unknown
429B Houston St. (patio of Jackalope Brewing Company’s Ranch)

The Nations

Joseph Peter Breck (March 13, 1929 – February 6, 2012) was an American character actor of stage, television, and film. The rugged, dark-haired Breck played the gambler and gunfighter Doc Holliday on the ABC/Warner Brothers television series Maverick but is best known for his role as Victoria Barkley’s (Barbara Stanwyck) hot-tempered, middle son Nick in the popular 1960s ABC western, The Big Valley. Breck was also the leading man in an earlier ABC Western television series entitled Black Saddle.
Breck was the son of Joe Breck, “a popular show business figure of the 1930s.”[1] His parents divorced when Peter was 8. Peter went with Joe, while his younger brother George accompanied their mother, resulting in a decades-long separation.[1] In 1959, an Associated Press photograph showed the brothers reunited after being out of touch for 22 years. The caption explained: “George told newsmen he saw Peter on television and recognized a resemblance. He went to the actor’s studio and the relationship was confirmed.”[2]
WIKIPEDIA
————————
Primarily remembered as Barbara Stanwyck’s rugged middle son, Nick Barkley, the handsome and strapping “loose cannon” on the popular action-driven TV western The Big Valley (1965), actor Peter Breck is a survivor who has gone through the ups and downs of not only his own personal life but also of this tough business they call acting. Like Nick, Peter has maintained a strong, positive outlook and still shows the fighter in him in a career that has touched on five decades.
He was born Joseph Peter Breck, the son of a jazz musician also named Joseph (nicknamed “Jobie”). Over time, his father worked with such legendary greats as Fats Waller, Bix Beiderbecke, Paul Whiteman and Billie Holiday. Nicknamed “Buddy” while young, Peter’s parents were on the road for much of his early life and he was sent to live with his grandparents in Haverhill, Massachusetts, a move that provided more stability. His parents eventually divorced and young Peter returned to Rochester to live with his mother and her new husband, Al Weber, who was a sports editor of the Rochester Times-Union.
Following his schooling at John Marshall High School in Rochester, Peter served in the United States Navy. He then turned his attention back to education and studied English and drama at the University of Houston in Houston. While performing in college plays, he started to apprentice at Houston’s Alley Theatre, where he appeared in such productions as “Stalag 17”, among others. He also had a talent for singing and performed in several clubs around the Houston area.
Peter extended his stage resume at Washington D.C.’s Arena Theatre. While performing there in a 1957 production of George Bernard Shaw’s “The Man of Destiny”, he was “discovered” by Robert Mitchum, who cast him in an unbilled role in the film Thunder Road (1958), which Mitchum himself produced, co-wrote and starred in. Mitchum invited the young tenderfoot to Los Angeles and helped set him up out there. While Peter struggled trying to establish himself in films (he played a juvenile delinquent in the movie The Beatniks (1960)), it seemed that rugged TV roles came easier to him. He found his first series lead as “Clay Culhane” in the western Black Saddle (1959), the story of a gunfighter (Breck) who switches guns for law books and tries to tame the West through reason. Costarring Russell Johnson (later the “Professor” on Gilligan’s Island (1964)), who plays a suspicious U.S. Marshal, the series was canceled after two seasons.
A Warner Brothers studio contract, however, did come out of this-and a new visibility. Tall, dark and handsome at 6'2", Breck guest-starred on all the top Warner Bros. TV shows of the day: “The Roaring 20’s” (1960)_, Sugarfoot (1957), Surfside 6 (1960), Bronco (1958), Hawaiian Eye (1959), 77 Sunset Strip (1958), Cheyenne (1955) and played a recurring “Doc Holliday” in the popular series Maverick (1957). He returned to the movies as well, but this time in stronger leads or co-leads. Handed a choice co-starring assignment in Portrait of a Mobster (1961) opposite star Vic Morrow, who played the infamous “Dutch Schultz”, Peter also managed to show a rare, gentler side in the outdoor family drama Lad: A Dog (1962).
He left Warners after only a few years but managed to score the leads in two low-budget cult thrillers in its wake: Shock Corridor (1963)_ and The Crawling Hand (1963), along with a very dismal lead in the musical outing Hootenanny Hoot (1963), in which he was given no songs to perform despite his singing capabilities. Again, TV came to the rescue when he won the brotherly co-lead on The Big Valley (1965). Despite a uniformly strong ensemble cast that included oldest brother Richard Long, younger brother Lee Majors and sister Linda Evans, Stanwyck was the only performer on the show who was nominated for an Emmy during its four-season run (she was nominated twice and won once).
Following this TV peak, Peter abruptly left Hollywood and focused on the theater both in the U.S. and Canada throughout the 1970s, appearing in such showcase vehicles as “The Gazebo”, “A Thousand Clowns”, “The Rainmaker” and “Mister Roberts”. Married to former dancer Diana Bourne since 1960, the couple settled in Vancouver, Canada, with their son Christopher, where Peter checked out the film scene. He also set up a full-time acting academy school, The Breck Academy, which ran for ten years. Tragically, it was during this time that their son, Christopher, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and died (two years later).
Peter decided to lay back following this traumatic period, but still manages to perform in films and TV from time to time. As he grew older, he joined the cast of some very offbeat “B” films (shot either in Canada or the U.S.) that hardly reflected his image created during the 60s: Terminal City Ricochet (1990)_ and Highway 61 (1991). His more recent “B” movies have included Decoy (1995), Enemy Action (1999) and Jiminy Glick in Lalawood (2004). On the side, he writes a western column and shows up occasionally at nostalgia conventions. IMDB

Favorite romantic or platonic duo on Broadway?
Matilda and Miss Honey for platonic.  Favorite canon romance, maybe Al and Joan.  Favorite ship, too many to count ;)
Best meta moment in a musical?
It’s not a musical but I have such a soft spot for the post-curtain call bit from Curious Incident.  I didn’t love that play overall (though the staging was crazy clever), but that moment is so dang endearing.
Dream cast your favorite musical.
GOOD NEWS I HAVE LIKE NINETY OF THOSE.  Fun Home is probably my all-time favorite show, but tbh the OBC (but with Gabby Pizzolo as Small Alison) is so perfect I can’t dreamcast it better than it’s already been cast.
So…to the Matilda well I go.  Sticking to people who haven’t been in the show since I think my favorites from the actual show are pretty well-known on this tumblr ;)  Also I have NO idea if/how well any of these people dance.
Matilda - Savvy Crawford, Sami Bray, Maya Grace Fischbein, Isabelle Methven
Miss Honey - Mandy Gonzales has been my go-to dream Miss Honey since the show opened, but Julia K. Harriman, Kaley Ann Voorhees, Denee Benton, Christy Altomare, Samantha Hill, Ingrid Michaelson (I never thought I’d be picking someone who isn’t specifically known for theatre for my favorite role of all time, but she just knocked my socks off as Sonya) and probably a bunch of others not coming to my mind at the moment would have been amazing.
Miss Trunchbull - Vocally and acting-wise, I think Killian Donnelly would be a riot and a half, but honestly I can’t think of anyone with the right physicality for the role off the top of my head.  This role must be a beast to cast.
Escapologist - Jason Forbach Acrobat - Brennyn Lark
Mrs. Phelps - Phillipa Soo (yeah, I know it’d be a bit of a waste of her voice and it doesn’t make a ton of sense to cast a huge star in a supporting role, but we’re dreaming here and I think she has the perfect energy for the role.  It’s easy to think of Mrs. Phelps as a purely comedic character, but you also need her to be warm, empathetic, gentle and loving.  Tell me that’s not Pippa in a nutshell.)
Mrs. Wormwood - Ariana DeBose would slay the fuck out of Loud.
Mr. Wormwood - Joseph Spieldenner (what can I say; he and Jason are the cutest Broadway couple of all time and their being in shows together brings me joy.  Plus he’s crazy talented himself!)
Bruce - Devin Trey Campbell  Lavender - Evie DolanNigel - Zell Steele MorrowEric - Jonah MussolinoAmanda - Laurel Griggs  (if I could’ve had a fifth Matilda it would’ve been Laurel)Alice - McKayla TwiggsHortensia - Iris Davies Tommy - Sean RedaTall Boy Swing - Joshua Colley Tall Girl Swing - Sadie SinkSmall Girl Swing - Audrey Bennett or Zoe Glick?  I’ve never heard either of them sing, but this is me trying to think of kids who could theoretically fit the role at this point.Small Boy Swing - Jesus del Orden
(As an aside, I know Lavender traditionally isn’t white; I’m just short on kids I’m familiar with who weren’t in Matilda - plus I do think Evie would have been an excellent Small Girl Swing.  Ditto with Sean as Tommy.  And Savvy, Maya, Evie, Sadie and Zell are probably too tall/old for these roles at this point, but at the time the show was running they were perfect so I stand by that.)
