Jotaro is the player who just uses whatever, and his Pokémon are just so high level that he gets by using brute force and doesn’t pay that much attention to types. Steamrolls through matches even when he has the type disadvantage. He catches a lot of water type Pokémon that he thinks look cool or remind him of his faves in real life.

Polnareff tries to just use whichever Pokémon he likes but gets into trouble at times when he doesn’t have diverse enough types. Please catch some more friends for your team, Pol. I promise your Escavalier (nicknamed Chariot) will be happy to have friends. He’s great at contests, though! (Even if he does burn a lot of poffins.)

Avdol has a fondness for fire types. If he plays any Gen 3 games, he always picks Torchic and nicknames it Magicians. Great strategic player but lowkey about it. Loves move combinations that work together (things like defense curl and rollout, sunny day and solar beam, rain dance and thunder) and would probably be amazing at competitive play.

Joseph gets frustrated when there’s routes you can’t access yet until you unlock more story aspects, but he finds the animation style and the music fun. He does know different pokemon, but he likes to butcher the names or call them all Pikachu to piss off Jotaro. He definitely shouts his typical “OH MY GOD” when his Pokémon evolve unexpectedly.

YES. But they genuinely adore and respect each other and love being together.

They still hold hands across the table during meals. They ask about each other’s days. They still go out dancing, and they get misty if their first dance song from their wedding plays. Jock Joseph who auditions for a show on a whim and actually lands the lead owns my heart? He has a vague knowledge of theatre from Granny Erina, who insisted he know some of the classics, but he still needs some help learning the ropes.

At first, you think maybe he auditioned as a joke and are scared he won’t take it seriously…. Until you rehearse with him and discover he’s actually very sweet and has a natural talent for acting.

He follows you like a duckling half the time because you’ve done this longer so he likes to ask you about things he should know! You explain to him how stage directions work, what to expect at rehearsals, maybe even teach him some voice warmups or help him with dance steps if it’s a musical. If he forgets a pencil to mark things in his script? You start keeping extras around just for him, or tell him he can borrow yours. He always asks you how he did with this or that and grins when you tell him he’s doing a great job.

You get closer as you spend more time together in rehearsal— since you’re the two leads, there’s a lot of one on one time and you become friends pretty quickly. He tells you about his family, about big games he has coming up, and you come to support him at each one, his jersey number painted on your cheek or some sort of sign in your hand always.

Several of his friends and yours might even start to wonder if you’re dating long before either of you catch on to your feelings. It’s not an uncommon sight to see him slinging an arm around you as you both laugh over some little joke, and his teammates don’t miss the way he smiles when he hears you call out “Jojo!” with a little wave when you come to watch his practices. Downtime between runs of your show often finds the two of you laying on each other on different parts of the set. You’ve fallen asleep tangled up together at least once backstage.

You both start to fall for each other, but you’re uncertain how much they might feel the same or how much you’re reading into things because of the roles you’re playing. It doesn’t help when you have to declare your love for each other and kiss each other several times a week during dress rehearsals. Rest assured, when you both eventually figure it out, you’re going to be such a power couple. There’s no performance or game that ever happens without a good luck kiss first 😌💕
