Jose Carioca meeting Jose and the Barker Bird from the Enchanted Tiki Room!
I've been wanting to properly draw this for a long time! I always thought it would be cool to depict Jose with another parrot named Jose (I should note that their names are pronounced differently). And the Barker Bird totally shares Jose's aesthetic :3
I've also been trying to refine my digital "cartoony" style by using a different brush for the lineart, doing softer shading, etc.

Marvel & Disney Kingdoms:
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
I had a blast with this! The art's cool & the story had me hooked- I can definitely see this being some inspiration for the movie if it's still in production. Ironically enough, I kept picturing Owen Wilson as Chandler. The characters are genuinely really intriguing, so if they are in the film I'd love to see them fleshed out even more.
The Enchanted Tiki Room
I'll be 100% honest, this one was not my favorite. It got a bit more interesting as it continued & easier to understand what it was going for, but my immediate reactions went from "Why only five???" to "How are there five." I didn't super love any of the characters except Michael, which isn't even a bias of any sorts- he was just genuinely the only character I liked from start to finish. Some of the concepts I was kinda into, but I think the main issue I had was regarding the content being possibly offensive to my peoples' culture & at the very least the accents of others'. -I wasn't super into some of the content here at all to be honest, & some jokes or weird reveals were just way too out there & felt like they shouldn't have been added. When I read a comic based on Disney Parks & their attractions I don't mind some "out there" content... but having an older woman fantasize about her dog turning into a handsome man & then later making out with a much younger man felt not only wildly uncomfortable, but like crossing the line. I love Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room... I was raised with it- but it was really hard to not just finish reading these issues, but even getting through the scenes with Jose & the gang was difficult for me; I was borderline skimming over their lines because I couldn't handle how not only lowkey poorly written the interpretations of their accents & personalities were, but genuinely upsetting & even frustrating their "arguments" would get. I actually had hope that maybe the reviews would be wrong & I would at least enjoy this if not it could have been my favorite. It was not my favorite. by any means. It made me uncomfortable & I felt sick trying to finish it. The ending was pretty solid. 👍 That's about as much as I can get myself to say.
Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days [Volumes 1 & 2]
youtube
It's hard to talk about Kingdom Hearts without majorly spoiling the series for folks so I'm just gonna leave ya'll with that. I am seriously enjoying the series so far & actually caved & got the franchise on steam since they're all on sale collectively for under $100 The art is lovely as always, & I'm super excited to continue!
[I did not know about the strike at the time & was unaware that Kingdom Hearts may be part of the struck games list for now; I will not be streaming the games until action has been taken. I'm not a member of any organizations or working for any companies, but it still feels wrong to be talking so positively about even a special interest if it may be actively supporting peoples' decisions that can seriously negatively effect artists' works & likenesses. I enjoy Disney content, but I do not condone every decision or comment made by certain individuals working at/running the company.]

Hello, I just wanted to share my latest work on AO3. The enchanted tiki room is one of my favorite attractions in disney world so I wrote a fic based on the four macaws: Jose, Pierre, Michael and Fritz. A story similar to Alice in wonderland, where a girl gets lost in what seems to be a forest where everyone and everything is alive.
I hope the people that like the attraction enjoy the fic!

History and Design
The Enchanted Tiki Room holds a special place in Disney history as the first attraction to feature Audio-Animatronics technology. It originally opened on June 23, 1963, at Disneyland, drawing inspiration from the mid-20th century American tiki culture and Polynesian pop aesthetic. Designed by WED Enterprises (now known as Walt Disney Imagineering), the attraction's architecture features a tropical pavilion adorned with vibrant flowers, tiki statues, and a central fountain. The interior is a theater-in-the-round, with seating arranged in a circle facing the center stage. The Magic Kingdom version, initially called Tropical Serenade, opened on October 1, 1971, as a near-identical copy of the Disneyland original. It underwent several name changes and updates over the years, including a controversial "Under New Management" version featuring Iago from Aladdin and Zazu from The Lion King, which was met with mixed reactions from guests. After a fire in 2011, the attraction was refurbished and reverted to its classic format, now known as Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, with a slightly edited version of the original Disneyland show.

The Ride Experience
Queue and Pre-Show As you approach the Disney World Enchanted Tiki Room, you'll notice the covered, open-air queue area adorned with tropical foliage and tiki statues. Here, you can enjoy a delightful pre-show featuring Clyde and Claude, two Audio-Animatronic birds who banter and introduce the story of the Tiki Room. The pre-show culminates with the parting of a waterfall, revealing the entrance to the main theater. This clever transition sets the stage for the immersive experience to come. Main Show Once inside the dimly lit theater, you'll be seated on hard-backed benches arranged in a circle, facing the central stage. As the show begins, you'll be greeted by the iconic hosts: Jose, Michael, Fritz, and Pierre, a quartet of macaws who lead the tropical serenade. Over 150 Audio-Animatronic figures, including birds, flowers, tiki drummers, and totem poles, come to life, singing and dancing to classic tunes like "In the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room" and "Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing." The highlight is the rousing finale, "Hawaiian War Chant," where every figure joins in a lively performance. One of the most memorable moments is the simulated tropical storm, complete with thunder, lightning, and rain effects, adding an extra layer of immersion to the experience. As you exit, you'll hear a unique arrangement of "Heigh-Ho" from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, thanking you for attending the show. Music and Atmosphere The Enchanted Tiki Room's soundtrack, composed by the legendary Sherman Brothers, is a true highlight. The catchy tunes and clever lyrics are sure to stick in your head long after your visit. The atmospheric effects, including the simulated storm and the sound of running water from the central fountain, further enhance the tropical ambiance, transporting you to a lush, exotic paradise.

Comparison with Other Enchanted Tiki Room Attractions
While the Magic Kingdom's Enchanted Tiki Room is a faithful recreation of the Disneyland original, there are a few notable differences among the various Disney Parks: - Disneyland: The original Enchanted Tiki Room, opened in 1963, features the classic show and serves as the benchmark for all other versions. - Tokyo Disneyland: The Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents Aloha e Komo Mai! features Stitch from Lilo & Stitch and is the only version without the classic theme song. - Disneyland Paris: Adventureland Bazaar replaced the Enchanted Tiki Room with a shopping area. Despite the variations, the Magic Kingdom's Enchanted Tiki Room remains true to the original vision, offering a nostalgic and immersive experience for guests of all ages.

Disneyland Secret #230
18 seconds. The cast member in the Enchanted Tiki Room pushes a button to start the program. From there, there is an 18 second wait until Jose wakes up. Often members of the audience are asked to wake Jose up or the cast member him/herself may do it. It is also a request you can make if the cast member is obliging. Walt Disney use to come a wake up Jose.

Disney Parks Animatronic Tournament: Bracket C/Tier 3 Round 1

Exercise Patricia: Carousel of Progress - Magic Kingdom Disney World, Disneyland (formerly)
Propaganda:
"In an odd twist for an attraction all about looking at progress and the future, they have this character using a 20-year-old exercise machine (that clearly doesn't actually do anything). Also I love the way she's on the phone even though the exercise machine is making her voice shake."
(the auto ‘start at specific point’ is acting weird, so go to 13:42 for animatronic )

José
José appears in The Enchanted Tiki Room in Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World. The Cast Mamber taps José awake and José leads his fellow Tiki Room birds, Michael, Pierre and Fritz, in singing the Tiki Tiki Room and Let’s All Sing Like The Birdies Sing.
José formerly appeared in The Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management at Walt Disney World with José protesting Iago’s changes. When Iago wakes up the Tiki Gods, José leads the other birds in singing Hot Hot Hot while Iago is smote.
José is a main character in Disney Kingdoms: Enchanted Tiki Room. In it, he decides to quit performing with Michael, Pierre and Fritz in order to pursue a solo career. The other Tiki birds scramble to find a replacement for José, who comes back to them after they give in to his demands to be able to perform new material. It doesn’t last long, however, as José’s ego spins out of control and it culminates in a fight between him and Michael. José again breaks off to try and form a solo career, but when he hears of Michael’s kidnapping, he helps to rescue his friend and makes amends with the rest of the Tiki Room birds and they once again perform as a band.
José also appears in the Tales From Adventureland series in the first book, The Keymaster’s Quest, and in the last book, The Doomsday Device. In both books, he and his fellow Tiki Room birds live at a sanctuary for talking birds and guard the Tiki Key from those who would use it for nefarious purposes.
José also has a small cameo in It’s A Small World: The Animated Series in the episode Tropical Hideaway. He also appears in Disneyland Adventures and Kinect Disneyland Adventures alongside the rest of the Tiki Room birds where the player can conduct them into singing their signature song; The Tiki Tiki Room.
