Because she is very experienced she can offer help and advice to the younger less experienced actors (Clara and Rosas characters) she also hold other skills like improv acting and with this role she will be playing she could use this skill in the more emotional scene, this could be a key.

Manuel - John Ruben would be a play a perfect Manuel he has a playing age of 16-25 and could easily pull off playing the role of a 18 year old he can speak fluent Portuguese as well as English and also has a lot of experience in the industry in short film, tv and even feature length films although Manuel doesn’t have many lines the actor would have to put in a good performance at the start of the film we see Manuel go through a very hard time and this needs to be a convincing performance.

This isn’t a bad thing to me I see it a good trait there is a scene in the film were his character has to kiss another character and all of that stage work will be very useful he will not be scared or hold back in this scene, he can also speak both English and Portuguese and this is key.
