A little storytime:

I remember the first time I wore my Ace ring.

It was a normal day, I was getting ready to go to my design class, and then I felt the urge to have an ace ring with me. I don't know what triggered that, but it just felt right to have it. So I spray painted an old ring , waited a few minutes for it to dry and went out.It feels really silly to say, but that little thing brought me so much joy I would start tearing up just looking at it. It felt like something clicked, y'know?

That's the kind of feeling I hope y'all get to experience, not only during this month, but through your whole life. This feeling of belonging, of things feeling right.

And I feel a little stupid saying this, but I wouldn't get to have this without Jon Jarchivist Sims. I love you, my silly little podcast man who helped me come to terms with who I am.

I hope everyone gets to feel seen (ha!) the same way Jon made me feel.

I cried a few times drawing this. I am emotional lol.

Finally posting my original design of Jonathan Sims. When I first started The Magnus Archives I had already seen people’s preferred design of him but it took me a while to envision while listening to it. For me he was a mix of some of the characters I put in there but mainly Jon reminded me of Kazuyuki Asakawa from the novel Ring by Koji Suzuki. But he also was mean like Miles or Logan or like my old math teacher so he ended up changing a lot in my head. Then looking at fan art I got used to imagining Jon like how I draw him now. But sometimes I think about this Jon…
