✦ Jolyne loves going on car rides, especially if she can blast music from the speakers and sing with you with the windows down. Usually, Jolyne will drive and insists that you pick out the music because she loves your taste in music anyways. ✦ Going to the mall is one of Jolyne's favorite dates ever, she loves the food court and she especially loves going to Build-a-Bear, clothing stores, and stores like Hot Topic and Spencer's. She will usually buy you things that remind her of you (and it seems like every date you are getting a plushie, pin, or a new shirt... not that you're complaining). ✦ Jolyne loves wrapping Stone Free’s strings around you. Even if you are just cuddling or holding hands, you will notice little strings wrapping around your fingers or around your waist. Jolyne also loves tickling you with the strings (much to your dismay). ✦ Jolyne will introduce you to her parents and will do her best to reassure you that her dad may appear to be scary, but he isn’t all that frightening. She is even more clingy in private, often sitting on your lap or pressing kisses all over your face. ✦ Ermes loves going on walks with you, typically in a downtown area so that the both of you can people-watch and so you can both go get little treats. Ermes is also big on going on adventures with you, she loves the thrill that comes with it (and when you cling to her). ✦ Ermes loves teasing you, Ermes feels free to be herself around you so she gets a lot more playful around you. She will often tickle your sides and bounce around you. Ermes also is not opposed to pranking you just to see a surprised look on your face so that you can both laugh (don't worry, you always can get her back). ✦ Ermes is amazing at listening. Whenever you are starting to feel bad or insecure or just need to talk, Ermes is always extremely patient and will offer a shoulder for you to cry on. JOLYNE + ERMES

✦ Dates are always done in a randomized order, Ermes enjoys pulling date ideas from a jar so that you all get equal opportunities to go on dates together. ✦ You are usually in the middle of the cuddle sandwich, Ermes loves burying her face in your neck with her arms wrapped around your chest and Jolyne adores having her face buried in your stomach and her arms around your hips. Body kisses are a major part of the affection you get from them when you're laying down. ✦ You can all exist in a comfortable silence, just being around each other can fulfill all of your emotions. Sometimes the silence is nice when you are all doing your own thing while still being beside each other. Though, sometimes the three of you can get distracted by playing footsies together. ✦ Both of them tend to get extremely protective over you. If there is any sign of danger nearby, the likelihood of you being squished between your two guard dog girlfriends is near 100%. Anime Fest Plus 2024 Convention Experience Log - With Photos!

Hi, hello! As I've recently (as of this post, yesterday morning) attended Anime Fest+ 2024 at Tropicana Gardens Mall, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, I've decided to write an experience log about my day there! While I will be posting a few different cosplays here, since my blog is currently primarily about MDZS, TGCF and SVSSS at the moment, most of the cosplays I'll be sharing will be from these three titles. To add to the fun, I'll also have commentaries on them!

To preface, the largest anime convention in Malaysia is Comic Fiesta, an annual mecca with 70,000 attendees as of the year 2023. Anime, games and comics are popular in this country, so there are smaller cons dotted throughout the months.

Anyway, the crowd wasn't as large as Comic Fiesta. As the structure of Tropicana Gardens Mall is rather narrow, you'd technically have to file through in two to three lines to be able to walk in and out of the place.

The exhibition hall at the fourth floor hosted all performances as well as cosplay booths. You'd have to ride one of the two escalators up to the hall - plebs without a ticket are doomed to be stranded at the bottom of said escalators, unable to sop up the merriment held exclusively above.

Here are some pics though, just in case you were a pleb that day, or just didn't attend the event:

Main hall programs and booths featured mostly Hololive and sexy pretty girl cosplayers and figurines, given the regular, expected fare when it comes to the anime consuming demographic (yes, I'm calling you out, my anime-watching brothers). I didn't take pictures of the doujinshi market out of respect for the art sellers there, but I did buy a beautiful print and got some lovely free stickers from that ONE vendor who sold BL stuff among the throngs of moe girls/Genshin Impact.

Yes, there was only one stall. But that one vendor made my day! Bless your heart, sister!

Now, I'll move on to the highlight - the cosplays. Nothing fills my heart with more joy than seeing happy people wearing colorful costumes and having a blast just being part of the convention scene. To be honest, it's so common to be wearing cosplay outfits nowadays that folk don't even notice you when you're dressed up - and I say this from experience; nobody noticed at all that I was in costume (or they were far too polite to laugh at how shitty I looked LOL, I didn't even dare take pics of myself). These events usually become scavenger hunts for me, to identify the ones from series I know or my tribe (fellow MXTX fans aha!).

First up is an oldie that's a goldie - Mr. Spock from Star Trek (credit: FaceBook user Yasuhiro Orihusay):

Honestly, I did NOT expect to find any Star Trek cosplays there. My dad's a Trekkie, so this was one of the first pics I sent him at the con itself. Live long and prosper, Mr. Spock!

Next, a furry OC:

I wasn't able to get their social media account as they were waiting in line for an autograph by a cosplayer, so unfortunately I'm unable to credit here.

Furries are currently still a new thing in Malaysia - but I'm glad to see them appearing more frequently at our cons, since they do diversify our pop culture scene quite a bit. Furs Upon Malaysia (FURUM) is held annually in Kuala Lumpur. The tickets are always sold out within an hour, so it's definitely growing and also contributing to tourism (Indonesian and Singaporean furries gather there too).

Also, they're fluffy. I love fluffy things. Much thanks, furry fandom, for being fluffy!

Moving on, here's a group cosplay of Jojo's Bizzare Adventure's Six Pistols (Mista from Golden Wind's Stands, if you're wondering which season it's from):

Vibrant and very spot on! I was unable to get their social media account due to the crowd and disorientation on my part. Do try to look them up, though! They were pretty popular, so I'm sure someone would have shared some info if you're interested.

Anyway, here's a White Mage from Final Fantasy (credit: https://www.instagram.com/yari_hayashi/):

Final Fantasy's one of the older franchises, but it's definitely rising again due to the new FFVII remake. I thought he was Garnet until I saw the blond wig. Bless the mages, healing power plus!!

Next in line is one of my all-time favorites, Sailor Moon (credit: https://www.instagram.com/jiahuab0719_cos/):

I'm a Moonie so seeing a Sailor Moon made me pretty excited! I don't see too many Sailor Moon cosplays even in Comic Fiesta - cosplays at our conventions are pretty seasonal and tend to follow trends, from what I've seen. She definitely caught quite a bit of attention with her wings, too. I saw her getting stopped quite a bit, so I'm glad I got a pic before a line formed!

Aaaand! I've saved the best for last! I'll be showcasing the MXTX stuff now. To start off (with a bang), here are two cosplayers of the number one seasonal love interest of the BL world, Hua Cheng a.k.a. San Lang Didi (Grown Up Version):

Remember how I said cosplays at Malaysian conventions tend to be pretty seasonal? Well, the current flavor of the month for the BL world is definitely TGCF - and the hottest flavor is now San Lang didi. You're going to get stopped for photos pretty often for dressing up as this flashy guy, and for good reason too. Donned in striking red, Hua Cheng is the Ferrari of the danmei world.

I overhead Kopiii_cos' friend saying so many people have been asking for photos! Viva Fafa!

Next, we have the ever beautiful WangXian couple cosplays:

WangXian's a staple when it comes to the MXTX fandom. There's nary a person who doesn't love these two soulmates, and with these elaborate costumes, they've certainly stolen the show! They were the first couple I saw at the entrance of the exhibition hall, which makes sense since there was an OTP contest going on that afternoon.

Moving along, we have the main character of his story, the Crown Prince of Xian Le, Xie Lian (credit: https://www.instagram.com/arkutagwa/):

I gotta admit that this Lian's the sweetest of the Xies so far. Had a field day calling each other cute (what can I say, we both had cute personalities)! Gotta love that charming dimpled cheek, bless!

Speaking of cute, there's also this whole cute pose thing going on with certain attendees (credit: https://www.instagram.com/chzesin/):

I won't lie - I didn't recognize the character at first. But with the dark-gray-to-white ombre, black and red colors to tell you that's a Wei Wuxian, I'm just going to take a gamble here and deduce that yes, that is indeed a Wei Wuxian and include it. Let me know if you don't think it is.

Last but not least, we have our MXTX OTP group:

Turns out they're a group who'd entered the OTP contest that afternoon. If you're wondering, no, Binghe isn't paired with air (this is Bing-mei, not Bing-ge). There was a large number of attendees that day as it was Sunday, so their Shizun was still looking for parking. I'd gotten lucky since I'd arrived there just as they'd opened up Basement 3 so ZOOM I parked near the escalators with plenty of space to spare. Until today I chalk it up to being last-minute dressed as Xie Lian, the god of good luck for hobos like myself (or, according to popular belief, Hua Cheng's blessed every Xie Lian cosplayer out there no matter how much we look like we've just stepped out of a jungle). I also had plenty of space to sit for a lovely lunch of salad and green tea!

Granted, there were actually a few other Xie Lians there as well (he's the current flavor as well), but I didn't want to chase after them from afar since the flow of human traffic in this particular mall wasn't too conducive for trying to get pictures, unlike KLCC's garden. Usually, more fans are dressed as the two main characters, Wei Wuxian and Xie Lian - or the shous/bottoms in popular danmei. Surprisingly, I actually saw quite a number of gongs/tops this trip round.

The Bakery Downtown (GN Reader!)

The air of Italy had always been so warm, the scent of the nearby sea carrying salt on the wind, as well as the different scents from coming from stores. It had always been a comfort to Reader, as they had moved to Naples as a young child, and the scents they had come to call home had been with them from since they were six. Like an invisible sibling by their side.

They were on their bike, cycling with a bag on their back through the streets. Much needed baking ingredients within it for their parent's bakery were chilling Reader's back. Milk wasn't pleasant to hold for long, it made Reader's hand cold.

They stopped, looking out at a glimpse of the bay far away. If Reader could paint, they would paint this scene, the image of the bay between all the buildings in the sun was a sight to behold. Yet it was always a sight better seen in person.

Many people passed reader, some regularly went to their parent's bakery, 'The Blue Bakery' and waved to Reader as they started to cycle again, doing their best to avoid taking a back ally home. Italy had a serious drug problem, and Reader did NOT want to become a part of that money scheme.

However, they paused, seeing a boy in orange and dark purple clothes on the steps down a main street facing the sea, his right hand on his face. Reader couldn't help but pause, seeing him. They were sometimes drawn to people randomly, and they quickly learned why, feeling the light hand on their shoulder, no one else could see.

Reader had a spirit, a stand someone once called it. It's true abilities were unknown to Reader, and they only knew that Raspberry, their stand, could cause people to become hungry. They had once encountered a mugger, and Raspberry hand punched him, making the mugger fall to his knees screeching that he was starving to death.

Reader gave a look to their baked good themed stand and it vanished, allowing Reader ro look back to the messy haired boy. They cycled slowly towards him.

"Hey." They started, now standing next to him. He was dressed strangly, the boy wih black hair and pretty violet eyes looked up, meeting Reader's eyes. He was holding a notebook that had crumples and scribbled math problems. "Are you alright? I couldn't help but notice you looked down."

"Heh?" He started "Yea, I'm fine. Just-" he removed his right hand from his face revealing a bleeding wounds that looked to be from a fork. "Stupid Fugo got upset that I couldn't do a-"

"You're bleeding!" Reader gasped, gently grabbing his head to get a better look. "Oh god! We gotta patch that up before it gets infected!"

"Wha- Hey!" he exclaimed, watching Reader place their bag down and rummaging around before pulling out a box of bandaids. They peeled one out of its wrapping and getting him to stay still.

Placing it on, Reader took a scoot back. "I'm sorry." They said after a few seconds of silence between them. "I should have asked. . ."

"Thanks." The boy said, leg bouncing. More silence, before Reader spoke.

"So. . .your friend? Why did he attack you?"

The boy blushed in embarrassment, sulking and averting his eyes. "I. . . I got some math problems wrong. But-" he looked back at them, nose scrunched. "I only messed a few times! It was an accident!"

'These are all wrong.' Reader thought with a nervous smile. "Hey." They started. "I'm Reader. If you'd like, I can help you with these over some baked goods. My Madre and Padre own a bakery not to far from here. I'm more than willing to help."

He lit up like the sun appearing from behind grey clouds. "Really?!" He paused. "Uuh, Yea. That sounds good." He said, trying to hide his excitement, playing it cool. Reader stood up, putting their bag back on their back and helping the boy up. "I'm Narancia, Narancia Ghirga."

And with that, the two were off to the Bakery down town.

Reader would help Narancia in their spare time, doing their best to help him learn his addition of tens numbers. He was slowly but surely learning over the 2 weeks. With the encouragement of free delicious baked goods and improv teaching methods, he was coming to the Bakery almost five times a week.

They had become closer as friends as well, Narancia was a ray of sun, being funny and crass, sharing the same tastes in music (Reader played Snoop dog on their record play after closing late one night to just jam to with Narancia.), and Narancia introducing Reader to Fist of the North Star.

Reader's mother loved Narancia, seeing his as a sweet boy and just pleased Reader was making friends. Their father? Not so much.

As of right now, they were walking to a restaurant together, Reader needing to head past it and Narancia needing to go there to 'meet with his friends'.

"You speak so highly of this Bucciarati." Reader said as they walked. "I gotta say, I really wanna meet him now. Your dad sounds so sweet."

Narancia snorted. "He isn't my dad, he's my bo- Friend." he said, doubling back on his words. He seemed to always tread so carefully when speaking about his friends.

"Well, this is it, right?" Reader asked, stopping infront of a restaurant named Libeccio. Narancia nodded happily.

"See ya, Reader!" He said happily, entering.

Reader smiled and continued on their way, unaware of the two men now tailing them. . .

"Who's the hottie you were walking with?" Mista asked slyly after Narancia sat down between him and Fugo, Abbacchio sipping some wine and Bucciarati glancing out the front window, seeing an elderly woman and her friend pass as well as two men.

"huh?" Narancia asked, sounding bored. Mista stood angrily.

"You filthy traitor!" he exclaimed, catching the attention of a few of the patrons. "That hottie is the one you've been seeing behind our backs!" Mista feigned Narancia's voice in a poor way. "Oooh baby! I'll totally ditch my best bud for you! I won't even tell him you're hot because Then my hot best friend will snatch you away-"

"Knock it off." Bucciarati said sternly, and Mista stopped, sitting down annoyed. "You're bothering the other people here."

"Sorry, Bucciarati." Mista said, huffing.

Fugo spoke up. "I have to say, you've been running off a lot lately for the past two weeks, and while I am proud of how fast you're learning your addition, you've been acting different. Perhaps you are in a relationship."

Mista looked like he was about to pop a fuse. "What?! I knew it, and you didn't even bother to tell me?!"

Narancia panicked. "What?! No!" if I was in a relationship, I would have told you guys! Or at least introduced them!" He placed his hand on his chin, and a look appeared in Narancia's eyes. "Reader is. . .just a friend."

Abbacchio recognized that look in Narancia's eyes and huffed. Bruno gave a smile to the boy, seeing how Narancia had a puppy crush of sorts.

"Tell us about them, then we can start our discussion." Bruno said. Mista nodded.

"Yea! Do they have a big-"

Narancia put a knife to Mista's neck, and Mista backed off.

"Well, I met them on the street, and they fixed a fork stab wound Fugo gave me two weeks ago. Ever since they have been helping me learn and giving me free sweet bread n' stuff. They like Topac and Snoop dog and have all their records, and Reader-"

Abbacchio sighed, putting down his drink. "Can we start, I want to get this over with before Narancia starts making a wedding plan."

"Let me go-" Reader said terrified, in a back ally as two men, one with Green hair and a bunch of face piercings and the other with no hair at all. "I promise to give you all I ahve, just don't hurt me."

"That guy you were with." The bald one started. "You know him?"

Reader plucked up some courage. "W-why do you want to-"

Baldy yelled in their face. "THAT MAFIOSO! DO YOU KNOW HIM?!"

'Mafioso?' Reader thought. 'Narancia wouldn't hurt a- Scratch that, he would hurt a fly. But a gang member?!'

The green haired man pulled their shirt and made them stand next to him, a knife to their neck. "Sorry, toots, allow me to introduce myself. the names Leroy, and my partner here is Kent. See, that guy you were with? See, he is an enemy of ours we have been asked to take out. and by all means you two seem close." he leaned into Reader's ear, "So if you tell us what we need and want to know, we'll go easy on your boyfriend and maybe we can-"

"Raspberry!" Reader exclaimed, and their Raspberry and white colored stand appeared, punching the man in the face. He stumbled back, and held his stomach in pain. The bald man made eye contact with Raspberry and glared death at Reader. "I'll never talk! I won't let you harm my friend!"

Kent stood, a snack in his hand and in a flash, a stand with green aura appeared behind him, as well as for Leroy. Kent's stand was reminiscent of a kracken with many tenticals and a large mouth and Leroy's appeared like a ball of mass with a machine gun.

"Careful now." Kent said to Leroy. "Don't want to cause a scene."

"Youre stand users?!" Raspberry exclaimed at the same time as Reader.

"And by the look of you, you have no idea of how to use your stand!" Leroy exclaimed, his stand shooting at Reader, who ran our of the ally, stand zooming behind them.

"What is going on?!" Raspberry yelled in anger as Reader ran faster than they thought they ever could. "Would could they possibly want with Orange boy?!"

"Narancia?! A mafioso?!" Reader yelled to themselves, dodging people in the crowd. "How could he be?! He is too sweet!"

The saw the familiar restaurant, and every instinct was telling them to enter, to find Narancia and protect him, but if things got heated- Reader couldn't fight with Raspberry, can barely use effective punches!

They looked through the window, and by pure coincidence, their eyes met violet ones that were wide, and Reader continued to run, hearing the two men behind, chasing them.

Narancia saw it, Reader and a stand. Narancia immediately shot up, much to the groups confusion and Fugo's frustration, seeing the two men chasing them, and bolted out the door.

"Narancia!" Mista yelled after him, yet Narancia didn't hear a thing.

Despite only knowing them for two weeks, Narancia felt so close to Reader, seeing them as a part of his family. He couldn't forgive himself if they were hurt or worse, killed.

Reader ran till they felt three shots go through their leg and they cryed in pain, managing to run into an ally before a horrible sensation of pressure on their leg ensued and they fell to the ground.

The two men entered the ally, panting.

"Youre a close range user." Kent said "And an easy kill. You know-" he pulled a real gun out. "My buddy's ability allows him to control the gravity of area of anything that gets shot, and right now, he can shatter your leg and shoot you in the skull right now and crush your pretty face into much."

He kicked Reader's, knowing them down as Raspberry tryed to attack Kent's stand, but it only entrapped Raspberry, causing Reader to gasp, feeling their stands chest being crushed.

"One last chance for a quick and painless death." he stated, grabbing Reader's head, "Tell us what you know-"

"AREOSMITH!" a familiar voice yelled and soon the sound of a plane firing bullets was heard, the ally getting shot up and the men getting hit.

"SHIT!" Leroy yelled, aiming his stand at Narancia, who used his stand to shoot at him, getting few more hits in. Reader gasped, seeing taht Narancia had a stand too, and tryed to pull themselves away but was grabbed and stood up, a gun to their head.

"Shoot and they get it!" Kent exclaimed, and Narancia stopped, stand still out. "That's it. . .now, tell me about the drug warehouse is and that where Bruno Bucciarati is!"

"Right here." A voice said and with the unzipping of a zipper a man in white with a Bob came through the new hole in the wall, qnd punched Kent straight in the face with his blue and white stand. Leroy aimed and fired, but Reader grabbed Bruno as they were falling and allowed him to dodge the bullets, and Narancia started firing again.

"Dont let him hit you!" Reader yelled "His bullets effect the gravity of whatever they hit!"

Bruno pulled Reader through the hole and went back out into the ally. Reader watched the hole get zipped back up as they felt themselves blacking out from the pain.

Narancia entered the building with Bruno, the gang close behind. The two men has been part of an enemy mob, trying to worm their way in, and nasty to fight until the others came.

Narancia slid over to Reader, who was passed out on the ground. Mista whistled seeing them. "Yikes. That is gonna bruse." he said, "Are they alive?"

Bruno squated down next to Narancia, who was violently shaking his friend. He stopped Narancia and checked, two fingers on their neck. he took a breath. "Yes, but they need a docter." He picked Reader up in his strong arms and started to move to the exit, Narancia in tow, angry at himself and the two men now dead in the ally.

Fugo spoke to Narancia as they rushed to get Bruno a cab. "You both have quite an explanation to give one another."

Commentary while reading the story I like the idea of Raspberry. Sounds like a silly stand but if you know how to use it, it can be pretty dangerous (well, like any other stand xd). Narancia, you silly boy getting everything wrong and stabbed with a fork xDXD Snoop Dog and Fist of the North Star. You're someone really full of Jojo culture aren't you? xD Narancia noticing he was about to say that Bucciarati was his boss xdxdxd Come on boy, just accept that you have a crush jsjsjsjsjsj Damn this thing is about to blow!!!!! I have to say that you have a lot of creativity imaging stands!!! These are really interesting and threatening!! She was patient. That’s all she could do. You after all had told her you’d come back.

It wasn’t until three days later she had gotten a call from you.

“Hermès we need to talk.” She knew. In fact she had already knew from the start of the relationship your feelings for her were never there.

“…” Hermès couldn’t think of what to say so rather than saying nothing she hung up. She knew what you were going to say anyways, so what’s the point? She sat down on the sofa, her sister hasn’t come home yet. In fact she didn’t know when she was going to. After all her sister was loved by everyone she was always out and about. While Hermès was stuck at home all alone.

Normally you’d be there weather it’s over the phone, by text, by imagination or by person and that alone was enough to satisfy her day. Though those days grew old, the relationship grew far to the point where a rubber band had enough. Enough to snap it apart. Even if either of tries to fix the relationship would it still be enough to keep progressing in the relationship?

When you guys we’re talking together nothing ever happened anymore. The relationship had been dried out months ago but yet one of you keep trying to pour a cup of water trough the desert. When either of you try to talk about the future no reactions happen it would just be a simple phrase. “Oh that’s nice.”

What’s nice about that? There’s nothing nice about a relationship about to go into the depths of the quicksand.

The sound of the doorbell had rang across the house. Must be her sister. She opens the door and a figure stood in front of her.

“Hi, u-um resident cestello Hermès?”

“Yeah, that’s me.”

The figure looked up from their mail bag, “ah- yes hi um one letter for you here. She came out of nowhere, but asked me to deliver this to you.” The mail delivery person reached into their bag and handed an envelope. Thanking the man she turned and sat the envelope on the desk facing up.

“To: Hermès Costello”

“From [name]”

She took the letter one again, her fingers tracing around the framing of the envelope she opened it.

“Hey, Hermès…” Was the way the letter had opened up to. She continued reading on.

The door had just been closed yet there’s been a small noise was noted. She opened the door.

“Oh you’re here.” The aura changed the surrounding and all Hermès could do was provide a warm embrace. She didn’t want the relationship to end like this. She didn’t want to lose you like this.

Pushing away from her embrace she gestured to you than yourself. “Hermès?… I know our phone call was cut short, but I wanted to talk about this.”

Already getting the hint she has no reaction, she was prepared to break up.

“I want us to try something new together.”
