After completion, candidates need to undergo training onboard ships as deck cadets or trainee marine engineers. Upon successful completion of sea service and required examinations, they obtain necessary certifications like Indian CDC and STCW certificates. Finally, they can apply for job openings in shipping companies or as officers on merchant vessels to begin their careers in the Merchant Navy.
