I’m really weird about Dave ships for some reason. I’ve always seen him as aroace, so shipping him with anyone is a little uncomfortable. That said I love Dave <> Karkat and like the occasional Dave <3< Karkat fic, but I prefer johnkat.

Not red johnkat, though. My absolute OTP for Homestuck (next to meowrails) is John <3< Karkat, and there’s a special place in my heart for <3/<3< quadrant vacillation between them, especially when it ends black.

If I’m going to read red davekat or red johnkat, it has to be johndavekat. And if I’m going to ship Dave romantically outside of John <3 Dave <3 Karkat, it has to be pepsicola.

John, however? I’m down for black johnrezi, black johntav, red gamjohn, red/pale vrisjohn, and red johnroxy, among others.

but tbh ideally, they start off with awkward black flirting: john pulls a good-natured shaving cream prank and tavros goes “i DESERVE THIS, BUT FUCK YOU FOR DOING IT” and it sparks off a competition of small annoyances including but not limited to: tavros holding his hand for a high five and then pulling away so that john misses and flipping the middle finger “lOSER”, john putting a cup of water on top of tavros; door so that he gets soaked in the morning, shifting each others’ furniture two inches to the left and having Hell Times, and generally making rude comments to each other to the point that terezi has to step in and go “JUST M4K3 OUT 4LR34DY YOU FR34KS” and then they both stutter that “nO IT’S NOT THAT KIND OF HATRED,” and “why would i want to kiss this sack of shit???” three days later rose walks in on them making out in johns room. is it red? black?? human??? who cares anymore

Heeeyy some random question here but what are your favorite rarepair?

I have a lot of favorite rarepair! I guess my favorite favorite are pale tavrezi, pale johntav, johntavrezi, pale eritav, dirktav, davetav, janerezi, and equihal. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg really.

I like most anything involving Tavros (with maybe some pickiness on the quadrant here or there). I’ve juggled some janetav and soltav, got into some jaketav, some tavkat, some equitav, been intrigued by pale kantav...you get the picture. I think the only ships I’m not that into are lalondes/tav, but I think that’s just because I haven’t thought about it very hard yet. 

Outside of the Tavros ship fest, I like dirksol, erikar, a lot of various pale ships (HICGHB and all sorts I guess), uhh...I don’t know if neprezi counts as a rarepair? Or jadedavepeta? I’ve juggled the idea of black nepvris a couple times, too, and I’m beginning to think about how interesting black dirkvris could be, or maybe ashen because that ship would destroy everything with the right conditions.

I guess the images in my shipping wall are broken, so...I’m having trouble remembering all the stuff I like off the top of my head. I mean, I like stuff when I see it. Rarepairs can pull me into a fic much faster than popular pairs. I just think it’s fun to see something new! I’m not into everything and I have my pet characters (I am much more likely to monoship John than I am Terezi or Tavros), but I’m open to suggestion.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Vriska has a type and that her choosing to troll John might have a lot to do with tavros and everything having to do with vriska’s relationship with him.

Which means that I need to revisit all my black-johntav/pale-johnvris/flushed-tavris fics-idea and redo the development of it.

Maybe.

i mean i have never written those fics entirely ever but it might. be worth it; except i won’t.BUT STILL
