I also hate the fact that he gets credit for "opening the force up to anyone" because it makes me wonder do people have amnesia or something? What about Obi-Wan Kenobi? Or Mace Windu? Or Yoda? Or Qui-Gon Jinn? Or Ahsoka Tano? Or any of the other countless Jedi out there. What about them?

Honestly, Rian Johnson didn't make up anything new. Like you said he just ignored the hero that could come from anywhere and use the force standing right in front of his face. Finn. I still believe that Finn is force-sensitive.

Oh and let's add to that heroes that can come from anywhere. Becauses there's also Poe. What about him? He is also a hero that is also not a Skywalker. He may not use the force but he's a hero. Or there is also Han, or Rose, or Chewie, or Lando, or... are we going to celebrate any of the heroes that come from anywhere?

One thing I am NOT looking forward to is people waxing on about how if Rey “suddenly” becomes a Skywalker it will ruin the “a hero can come from anywhere” message.

Um…hello?? His name is FINN and he is literally RIGHT. THERE.  

It makes my blood boil that Rian Johnson gets credit for “opening up the Force to anyone” by making Rey a nobody. No, what he did was flat out IGNORE the “a hero can come from anywhere” potential of FINN to focus on Kylo Ren and drag the Rey parentage mystery out over the course of the entire trilogy.
