i feel like he’s the type of guy to happily listen to everyone else’s music, and he doesn’t really complain about it either. but if we’re talking about the main music he listens to on his own, he really likes alternative/indie-pop, and generally listens to upbeat, feel-good songs. he kinda discovered some of the more indie artists and songs when he overheard it playing from vylad’s room one day.

My Personal Opinions on Minsung's Dynamic (2021)

Disclaimer: I am not trying to pass off my opinions as facts. This is my personal interpretation of what is laid out right in front of us. I could be completely off base because I don’t know these guys personally, so take this with a grain of salt and feel free to disagree!

Good god their flirting has really ramped up this year.

If 2020 was subtle, then this year it’s more on the surface. I really think 2021 is where you get to see just how good their chemistry is and how well they bounce off of each other.

I think at this point they’ve found their footing and are very comfortable with each other. It’s so interesting to see their progression on camera, when you get to watch everything in order from the beginning to now. I keep saying this but it’s actually such a fun experience. There’s not a lot of content during the first half of the year because of Kingdom mostly. But the show really shows you how insane each member’s work ethic is, how talented they are, and how hard they work as a group. Not just with each other, but the staff who are with them 24/7 as well.

But back to the main topic:

They seem a lot surer of themselves and are blatantly flirty. Han is the boldest he’s ever been (the development). The members are openly more 😏🤔😟 of them. I think the teasing comes back in full force this year. 

First (I noted this in the video), this moment is debatable to me:

I know a lot of shippers talk about this one even though it’s not explicitly confirmed, but it’s during the Chan’s room Vlive where Lee Know recommends a few songs, one of them being Johnny Balik’s Honey. They briefly talk about the song and how LK has an affinity for listening to multiple songs of the same artist, etc. Then all of a sudden Chan asks if he likes “honey” with an almost teasing? tone of voice. LK is a bit taken aback by his question and is like “why do you ask?” And Chan says, “just because”.

I’m on the side that Chan was deliberately trying to tease him about Han “Hannie” (his name sounds like honey when you add the -ie particle). On multiple occasions, the members have also made connections with Han’s name and honey before, especially with JYP’s “Honey” song. LK’s confused reaction kind of adds on to that with him quickly saving the question by answering about actual 🍯. But again, this moment is debatable b/c it’s not as clear cut like the other moments I’ve placed in this project. I’m actually curious to see what opinions people have on this moment.

Then there’s Seungmin who blatantly says they act “lovey dovey” off camera (lmfao what tf does he see??????) and commenting on their photobooth photos and how they look like a couple. I think out of all the members, him and Changbin have the least filter when it comes to LK and Han. Chan is a close third.

Then there’s I.N feeling like a “third wheel” during the cooking show and subtlety alluding to that because of their high energy together.

Now onto the moments that make me go “what??”:

In Mysterious Kitchen, Lee Know asks himself what his favorite food is and Han very quietly but instantly blurts out “Me”. Man forgot the cameras were on for a second. 😭

Then comes the infamous Vlive where LK forgets to tell Han he turned on the speaker to his phone. Han ends up calling him “Jagi” through the phone and starts stuttering and panicking as soon as he realizes that everyone and their mom can hear him. If they played it off as a joke I wouldn’t raise my brows towards it at all, but Han panicked, so it must mean something and how they want/don’t want to be perceived at this point in time.

Han does come on his next live and clarifies that he also calls the other members that and vice versa (which again, it’s normal to use terms of endearment towards your friends), but him getting nervous and stuttering on himself when being caught with calling LK that is quite telling.

And then all of a sudden after this incident you have them openly calling other members “Jagi” on camera,,, when that has NEVER happened before. (LK did it as a joke back in 2018 at a fansign, but it was still a joke at the end of the day so…)

Another moment I want to point out is how LK mentioned on the radio show that Han is a “Yes man” when it comes to him (feel like this is also very much reciprocated, you’ll see this a lot next year). Recently, a Two Kids show episode came out and Han talked about how he doesn’t like hanging out with people in general. In the past, he’s also been open about being more of a homebody than someone who is constantly out and about. Compared to him, LK is more outdoorsy and adventurous, so it’s speaks volumes when Han almost always agrees to LK’s suggestions, and LK immediately understanding Han’s boundaries without any protest when he’s like “I don’t want to go out today, I already used up my energy for that”. Getting a little glimpse of that just shows you how well they “get” each other and how mutual/healthy their friendship (as we can see) is.

Personal Opinions:

I think this year, they are very much at a place where they’re the most comfortable they’ve ever been with each other.  I still think at this point they consider each other to be just friends and are able to maintain that, but they have no reservations playfully flirting with each other and even toe the line sometimes. Like the other members also seem to be very much aware that they have a special bond and aren’t shy about teasing them.

I also believe very, very late into this year, there’s a glaring awareness between them that the “more than platonic” feelings are mutual. But, again, they’re able to maintain their friendship while realizing that they might have something *special*. That’s probably why all of the playful flirting manifested this year.

2022 is where things start to get noticeably blurrier in the platonic/non-platonic department. It’s where I also believe at some point, maybe in the middle of that year, before or very early on in the Maniac Tour, is when they started something.

OPINION: Baling Balita: Ang Pagpokus sa Showbiz News ng Midyang Pilipino

Alam mo bang walang nakuhang wreath sympathy flowers si Ogie Diaz mula kina Liza Soberano at Enrique Gil noong burol ng kaniyang ina? Noong Holy Week Break, nabalitaan mo bang in-upload ni Barbie Forteza sa kaniyang Instagram ang bikini photos kasama ng kasintahang si Jak Roberto sa Panglao, Bohol? Isa pa, narinig mo ba ang kahilingan ni Ellen Adarna na magkaroon ng isang “masaya at maayos na relasyon” ang ex-boyfriend niyang si John Lloyd Cruz at ang kasalukuyan nitong kinakasama na si Isabel Santos? Pero nabalitaan mo rin bang labis na nakapokus ang mga peryodista sa personal na buhay ng mga artista?

Kapansin-pansin na napupuno ng kwentong showbiz ang headlines at segment news ng mga tanyag na news program gaya ng TV Patrol ng ABS-CBN News at 24 Oras ng GMA News. Naging laman ng kanilang balita ang mga personal na isyu, gaya ng hiwalayan ng mga artista, pag-unfollow sa social media, pati na ang mga bagong relasyon. Sa hanay ng mga istoryang itinuturing na “balita,” alin ang may pakinabang para sa publiko? Ano nga naman ang maidudulot sa atin kung ikinasal, nag-away, naaksidente, lumipat, nanganak, o nagbakasyon ang mga sinusubaybayan nating artista?

Una sa lahat, ang showbiz o “show business” ay nakatuon sa buhay ng mga sikat na tao at iba’t ibang porma ng entertainment na nakaiimpluwensiya sa kultura’t madla. Sinasabing ang pagbabalita tungkol sa mga sikat na personalidad ay may kakayahang pumawi ng stress kaya malimit itong balik-balikan. Kung gayon, hindi na kataka-takang maging sentro ito ng mga kumpanya sapagkat ito ay isang halimbawa ng matalinong pagnenegosyo.

Ang balitang showbiz ay lubos ding tinatangkilik sa iba’t ibang panig ng daigdig. Tulad sa Estados Unidos, naitala noong 2007 na 40% ng kanilang publiko ang nagsabing mas nakatuon sa midya ang balita tungkol sa celebrity news at Hollywood stars. Ito ang ibinabalita habang kasagsagan ng iba’t ibang isyu—gaya ng digmaan sa Iraq, pulitika, at krimen. Ayon pa rito, hindi rin gaanong naiuulat ang mga isyung pang-edukasyon, pangkalusugan, at ekonomiya. Isa namang artikulo ang nagtampok na kinahihiligan ng mga tao ang balitang Bollywood kung saan pinatingkad ang pwesto ng mga tinedyer sa midya ng India. Samakatuwid, nagkakatulad din ang mga bansa pagdating sa lagay ng kanilang pag-uulat sa midya.

Sa Pilipinas, buhay din ng mga artista ang laman ng mga balita. Nakita noong dekada ‘80 ang pagyabong ng mga palabas at balita tungkol sa entertainment industry na tuluyang “nagpabago sa cultural landscape” ng bansa. Hanggang nitong 2022, marami naman ang nag-search sa Google tungkol sa aspeto ng entertainment na nagpapakita ng patuloy na interes ng mga Pilipino sa larangang ito. Ilan sa mga hinanap nila ay ang mga bagong pelikulang Disney at k-drama, mga manlalaro ng basketball tulad ni Ricci Rivero, at mga popular na tao sa mundo gaya nina Johnny Depp, Cara Delevingne, at Ahn Hyo-seop. Dito, maaaring mahinuha na ang mga ganitong klase ng pag-uulat ay malapit sa mga tao sapagkat nais nilang makapagpalagayang loob ang isang artista sa pamamagitan ng paglubog ng sarili sa mga balitang showbiz na nagbibigay-daan sa pagpapagaan ng kanilang mga pinagdadaanan.

Dahil sa lumalawak na saklaw ng balitang entertainment sa iba’t ibang porma ng midya, mas madalas nitong napapaligiran ang mga tao. Ayon sa pag-aaral, kabilang ang balitang showbiz at celebrity gossip sa “Circles of Concern”—mga bagay na hindi kontrolado ng mambabasa pero mas binibigyan ng “reaksyon.” Kilala ang may taglay ng katauhang ito bilang “reactive” o tumutugon nang walang pagkilos. Ang ganitong midya na nakasalalay sa reaksyon o magiging damdamin ng mambabasa ay maaaring ng makaaapekto sa inisiyatibo nilang solusyunan ang isang isyu. Isa pa, maaari ring mahubog ang ganitong pag-uugali sa mga usaping may kinalaman sa lagay ng kanilang kababayan. Kaya naman, imbis na aktwal na tumulong sa naghihirap, hanggang sa pag-like sa social media na lamang ang nagagawa ng taumbayan. Walang kongkretong aksyon na pinaplano o isinasagawa. Dahil sa pagtuon sa personal na buhay ng mga artista, nalilimitahan nito ang kamalayan ng mamamayan na masabayan ang mga mahahalagang pangyayari sa lipunan. Samakatuwid, posibleng hindi maging produktibo ang resulta ng kamalayan nila ukol dito.

Kaya’t bilang mga tagapagbalita, mahalaga ang pagiging responsable sa pagpili ng mga kuwentong ibabahagi. Mas mainam na isantabi ang mga walang kabuluhang intriga; sa halip, dapat bigyang-pansin ang mga isyung may malawak na implikasyon sa lipunan tulad ng karapatan ng mga manggagawa sa industriya ng showbiz, epekto ng showbiz sa kultura at pag-uugali ng mga Pilipino, at iba pang mga usaping kaugnayan ng lipunan at ekonomiya. O hindi kaya nama’y maaari ring itampok ang artistry ng isang artista kaysa sa kaniyang kasikatan. Anu’t anuman, kailangang bigyang-pansin ang pangangalap at pagsusuri sa mga impormasyong may kinalaman sa panahon, presyo ng bilihin, COVID, at iba pa. Hindi ba’t layon ng isang dyornalist na pagtuunan ng pansin ang mga isyung bumabagabag sa bayan?

Bukod sa pagbigay ng malalim at tamang anggulo sa mga kwento, mahalagang maipakita rin nila ang analisis ng isang balita. Kung gayon, kinakailangan nilang gamitin ang kapangyarihan upang maipaunawa sa mambabasa ang balitang artista sa pagsalaysay nito. Halimbawa, maaari nila itong ilatag bilang leksyon, inspirasyon, o gabay para sa masa. Sa halip na maghatid lamang ng impormasyon tungkol sa industriya ng showbiz, maaaring ang ipamahagi ay isang makabuluhang kuwento mula sa buhay ng mga kilalang personalidad. Maaari ring maging paksa ang kwento ng isang artista na nagtagumpay sa kabila ng mga pagsubok na kinakaharap. Sa ganitong paraan, mas mapalilitaw ang danas ng determinasyon nila; magsisilbing inspirasyon ang ganitong klase ng balita sa ibang tao, at hindi pawang mga life updates lang.

Lumulubha na ang sakit ng pamamahayag sa Pilipinas: ang pagbibigay-tuon sa mga pang-showbiz na balita ay binabago ang tunay na diwa ng dyornalismo. Unang patunay: nagpopokus na lalo ang lokal na balitang midya sa mga katuwaan at personalang nagaganap sa likod ng industriya at pag-aarte. Kung ano ang mas sikat, ito ang mas palalaguin ng mga taong midya. Ikalawa, dahil ihinalintulad sa isang pag-aaral na ang usaping artista ay produksyon ng kanilang mga kwento, maaaring palalain ng ganitong paraan ng pag-uulat ang kapitalismo sa hinaharap. Syempre, sino ba namang aayaw sa tone-toneladang kitang kalakip ng kontrobersyal at tao-sa-tao na mga usapin? At kung walang agarang sahod na makukuha mula sa isang artikulo, madali pa rin nilang mabibingwit ang pampublikong pansin ng mga susubaybay sa susunod pang mga ulat.

Sa kabuuan, parte man ang showbiz at entertainment ng kultura ng mga Pilipino, mahalaga na baguhin ang diskarte sa pag-uulat sa industriya ng showbiz sa tulong ng paggamit ng midya bilang magbigay ng mahalagang kabatiran sa kasalukuyan. Sa pamamagitan ng pagtatampok ng mga kwento’t isyung may kabuluhan na may malawak na implikasyon sa lipunan, maaari pang mabago ang pananaw sa showbiz na hindi lamang ito para sa negosyo; isa rin itong pagkukunan ng mga naratibo ng aral at gabay na agarang nasasagap ng mga mambabasa. Sa gayong paraan, naitataguyod pa rin ang esensya ng isang mambabalita kahit sa pag-uulat ng mga kwentong showbiz.

Nakakabahala na ang porma ng pag-uulat ngayon ay nagtatangkang lumihis sa gampanin ng dyornalismo, sapagkat dapat sana’y tumutulong ito sa pagbibigay at pagbubusisi ng kritikal at tamang impormasyon para sa mga mahahalagang pagpapasyang ginagawa ng sambayanan. Kaya habang maaga pa, kinakailangang maisulong ang pagkakaroon ng reporma sa pamamaraan ng pag-uulat ng midya sa Pilipinas, upang maitulak at maimulat ang mga tao sa mga balitang napapanahon at higit na kapaki-pakinabang. //nina Monique Gervacio at Zaeda Wadi

Sepanjang video challenge 'Walk' itu, Ahn Jae Hyun berjuang dengan koreografi, bergerak seperti robot dan menambah kelucuan. Baik penggemar sang aktor maupun NCT 127 tidak bisa berhenti tertawa.

Sekitar sepekan yang lalu, Ahn Jae Hyun mengejutkan publik karena mengikuti dance challenge lagu "Walk" milik NCT 127. Video dance sag aktor dengan cepat menjadi viral karena interpretasi Jae Hyeon terhadap judul lagu itu dalam bahasa Korea, "gerakan tersentak-sentak" sangatlah tepat.

Sepanjang video challenge "Walk" itu, Jae Hyun berjuang dengan koreografi, bergerak seperti robot dan menambah kelucuan. Baik penggemar sang aktor maupun NCT 127 tidak bisa berhenti menertawakan gerakan tariannya yang canggung.

Kini pada 5 Agustus, NCT 127 merilis video di balik layar dari challenge "Walk" yang dilakukan Jae Hyun. Saat sang tiba di lokasi syuting, bintang drama "The Real Has Come" itu memberi tahu para member NCT 127 kalau dirinya sudah melihat dance challenge "Walk".

"Aku sudah berlatih gerakan selama lebih dari satu jam, tetapi aku masih belum bisa melakukannya dengan baik. Tapi aku akan berusaha sebaik mungkin," ujar Jae Hyun. Ketika tiba waktunya menari, Jae Hyun berdiri di tengah-tengah member NCT 127.

"Aku benar-benar melakukannya selama 1 jam," tutur Jae Hyun. "Kami akan mengelilingi hyung," sahut para member. Tantangan dimulai dan Doyoung langsung ngakak melihat gerakan robot Jae Hyun. "Ini terlalu cepat," sambat Jae Hyun. Johnny menyoroti Doyoung yang ngakak dengan berkata, "Kenapa tertawa!"

Setelah itu, Jae Hyun berniat pergi karena merasa sudah selesai melakukan dance challenge "Walk". Namun, para member NCT mencegahnya. Doyoung berkata, "Kau mau ke mana, hyung?" Jae Hyun kembali ke tengah member, "Melakukan lagi? Bukankah sudah berhasil? Ah, ini gladi resik Ini gladi resik?"

"Ada gladi resiknya? Bukankah ini hanya dilakukan sekali?" tanya Jae Hyun beruntun. "Tidak perlu diperiksa? Tidak masalah?" tanya para member. Meskipun heran karena ada sistem gladi resiknya, Jae Hyun kembali ke tengah-tengah member.

Jae Hyun bahkan sempat bertanya lagi, "Apa yang kalian inginkan, gerakan 'keren'?" Member NCT kompak mengatakan, "Lebih baik lakukan itu sesuka kakak." Jae Hyun akhirnya bergoyang lagi meskipun dengan gerakan kaku. Setelah itu, mereka menyelesaikan challenge itu dengan meriah.

Kondangan yuk!

Hari itu gue lebih suka untuk bermalas-malasan sampai bangun pun jam 9 karena sebelumnya gue begadang. Lumayan berat buat pergi, tapi gue tetep excited. Dengan berbekal tas PVC, kemeja peach stripes dan palu Thor berwarna hijau gue pun berangkat ke GBK. Bukan buat main bola, bukan juga buat nonton Dewa, tapi buat healing dan nyembuhin trauma gue.

Yap, hari itu gue datang ke SMTown Jakarta bersama teman sejawat gue, sebenernya baru kenal sih biar akrab aja gue panggil teman sejawat. Enggak kaya konser lain yang biasanya gue datang se RT, hari ini cuma berdua aja biar lebih intimate padahal mah emang males aja cari temen. Dresscodenya batik, tapi gue dengan pede pakai stripes haha. Bukan gue mau tampil beda, bukan. Gue emang gatau aja ada dresscode, gue emang gatau dan gamau cari tau karena awalnya ya se nggak niat itu.

Awal keberangkatan gue disambut dengan kereta yang penuh dan udah agak sesak ya. Biasanya gue duduk, kali ini gue berdiri. Cuma butuh waktu 40 menit dan gue sampe lalu disambung oleh si ijo untuk sampai ke lokasi. Satu hal yang bisa gue bilang kalo itu RAME BANGET. Ini kan stadion dan gede pol, jadi gue bilang itu rame karena sana sini mampet banyak orang. Dari atribut Ijo, Biru, Merah, Pink dan Putih komplit karena kali ini kita datang sebagai keluarga dan bukan salah satu fandom.

Hal baru untuk gue, budaya konser sekarang itu bawa banner. Yap! Banner yang biasa gue liat sih ya benderanya SLANK!, tapi sekarang banyak banget banner jamet yang bertebaran. Gue cukup senang dan masuk kedalam euforianya. Beberapa gue foto sama banner itu dan ownernya pun gak marah malah senang kita foto pakai banner mereka. Buat yang kemarin bawa banner Johnny Hallo Istriku, luv u! Thank you udah kasih gue kesempatan untuk mengukir memories disana.

Gue sampe sekitar jam 1 siang dan keliling sana sini, foto sana sini hingga melahirkan 3 polaroid lucu untuk dikenang. Setelah panas-panasan, haus-hausan, beli air mineral 15k, masuklah kita kedalam venue. Gak afdol ya kalau kita gak foto terlebih dahulu, jadilah kita foto-foto dan SMTown dibuka. Opening yang energic dari AESPA bikin semangat gue membara, ditambah posisi gue yang amat strategis yaitu di tengah makin bikin gue bersyukur dan seketika hilanglah rasa menyesal membeli tiket hampir 2 juta.

Semua performance gue lalui dengan penuh rasa semangat, bahkan dari lagu yang gak gue tau pun gue tetep semangat gerakin lightstick ijo gue. Tibalah saatnya, the moment of truth... My traumatic song is coming.. It is 2 Baddies from NCT 127. Gue trauma sama lagu ini sejak konser perdana mereka, hari itu memang banyak chaosnya namun gue gatau kenapa bisa sampe ke tahap apes. Konser dibubarkan tepat mereka akan menyanyikan lagu ini... Saking sedih dan kecewanya gue sampe gabisa nangis lagi kalau mengingat balik. Dan sekarang gue ada di depan mereka dengan kondisi yang sehat (cuma sakit tenggorokan aja), mereka yang happy, dan mulailah... Two Baddies Two Baddies One Porsche! Yes! Gue nangis, gue pecah, gue luber, hati gue diremat oleh melodi yang menggema dan suara indah yang udah lama gak gue dengar. Gue rindu, gue dibawa kembali ke masa-masa lampau ketika gue lagi sayang-sayangnya sama Johnny, ketika gue liat dia lebih dari seseorang yang gue anggap idol, Johnny... Lo balik, untuk gue.

Gue gatau berapa lama durasi persisnya, but yang gue tau, gue diem. Gue cuma teriak 2 Baddies 2 Baddies 1 Porsche, selebihnya gue diem. Tuhan lagi nyembuhin trauma gue, Johnny lagi nyentuh inner gue yang disakitin sama tatapan marahnya dulu. Kejadian yang bikin gue trauma sama semua lagu 127 perlahan hilang, gue jadi lebih iklas dan menerima. Gue tau gue sayang banget sama Johnny sampai gabisa ninggalin dia. Dia tau sejauh apapun gue pergi, gue pasti balik lagi sama dia. Johnny yang pertama dan gaakan pernah ada yang kedua, ketiga, keempat atau ke 100. Johnny pemenang hati gue.

Sebelumnya gue bersikeras untuk jual tiketnya ke orang lain tapi naas, tiket gue gak laku dan gue harus nonton. DAN GUE GAK MENYESALI ITU! HELL JOHNNY SUH LO GANTENG BANGET KEMARIN WOI! Gak ngerti lagi gue gabisa bilang apapun selain ganteng dan ganteng... Gue sayang banget sama lo, meskipun orang lain bilang lo jelek tapi di mata gue lo tetep GANTENG!

Johnny, gue masih inget kemarin lo bugar banget. Rambut lo udah normal alias warna coklat keiteman intinya ga bener-bener item, lo pake baju kemeja item yang gak ada kancingnya sampe bawah, bibir lo yang selalu merah dan kissable. Gatau lagi gue udah gila sama visual lo kemaren, lo ganteng banget sampe bikin jantung gue mau copot. Sampe bikin gue pengen jual ginjal buat bisa ke korea bareng lo.

Perjalanan gue udah berakhir, setelah encore, Johnny balik pakai kaos oblong dan gak lama gue pulang dengan senyum yang gak luntur bahkan sampe gue tidur. Johnny, lo harus tau gue udah gak takut denger 2 Baddies lagi :).
