Jesus wept.....
How many times have I read this verse..... John 11:35
Really think about this... Lazarus died 3 days before.... Martha knew what God can do.... She knew nothing was impossible for God.... She saw all the miracles...
I am thinking why did Jesus wept... Lazarus was so dear to His heart. Jesus knew for 3 days that Lazarus died....maybe... The heartache of 3 days must have been so heavy to carry... Maybe... Jesus was talking to Elohim showing His heart for Lazarus.... There are so many maybe's...
Jesus wept..... Broke my heart... Look at this world today... So much hate... So much killing.. So much evil... So much abuse... So much rape... So much.......
What went wrong..... How did we loose our compassion... Our love for our neighbours, our joy, our sense for peace, our sense to care, our gift to love unconditionally...... and and....
Jesus wept....
I think Jesus must be weeping... So many lost souls... Rebellious souls.....
ADONAI I PRAY FOR SALVATION OF THE LOST!!!
Just if you do not know... Lazarus was raised after 3 days!!!! This is My Jesus...

John 11:35 "Jesus wept. " is the shortest verse in the bible. Why did Jesus wept? A man from Bethany who was named Lazarus layed down sick, so his sisters, Mary and Martha sent a message to Jesus saying "Lord, the one you love is sick." Jesus arrived at Lazarus' place and found him dead. After Jesus spoke to Lazarus' grieving sisters, Mary & Martha, and after seeing all the mourners He wept. This only shows how deep Jesus' compassion for those who are suffering.

Today’s Theme: ⛪️ THE ESSENCE OF CHRIST’S DEATH
"Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil "
Text: Hebrews 2:14
MESSAGE🍎
Essence is the intrinsic nature or indispensable quality of something, especially something abstract, which determines its character. Essence is something you cannot do without.
Christ death was indispensable. Our theme suggest why Jesus had to die?
The Bible says that “through death, Christ has destroyed him that had the power of death, that is the devil” (Hebrews 2:14).
Christ’s death has given us new life. Christ is the living and the true God.
“But the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, an everlasting King, at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation” (Jeremiah 10: 10)
O child of God, death hath lost its sting, because the devil’s power over it is destroyed because our God is the living and the true God.
“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? But thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”
(1 Corinthians 15: 55,57). Then, cease to fear dying. Ask grace from God the Holy Ghost, that by an intimate knowledge and a firm belief of thy Redeemer’s death, thou will be strengthened for that dread hour. Living near the cross of Calvary thou may think of death with pleasure, and welcome it when it comes with intense delight.
It is sweet to die in the Lord: it is a covenant-blessing to sleep in Jesus.
“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me. Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth; Yea saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours, and their works do follow them” (Revelation 14:13).
Death is no longer banishment, it is a return from exile, a going home to the many mansions where the loved ones already dwell (John 14: 2). The distance between glorified spirits in heaven and militant saints on earth seems great; but it is not so. We are not far from home—a moment will bring us there. The sail is spread; the soul is launched upon the deep.
How long will be its voyage?
How many wearying winds must beat upon the sail ere it shall be reefed in the port of peace?
How long shall that soul be tossed upon the waves before it comes to that sea which knows no storm?
Listen to the answer in 2 Corinthians 5: 8 “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” So, once absent from this sinful world means present with the Lord.
Yon ship has just departed, but it is already at its haven. It did but spread its sail and it was there (Jonah 1:3-5). Like that ship of old, upon the Lake of Galilee, a storm had tossed it, but Jesus said, “Peace, be still,” and immediately it came to land (Mark 4:35-39). Think not of a long period intervenes between the instant of death and the eternity of glory. Once the eyes close on earth they open in heaven. The horses of fire are not an instant on the road. Then, O child of God, what is there for thee to fear in death, seeing that through the death of thy Lord its curse and sting are destroyed? and now it is but a Jacob’s ladder whose foot is in the dark grave, but its top reaches to glory everlasting (Genesis 28:12). Thanks be to God.
THE FOLLOWING ARE THE ESSENCE OF CHRIST’S DEATH
1. Jesus, God’s son came to earth to make our reconciliation with God possible. Romans 5:10; Colossians 1:20-21.
2. Jesus, God’s Son came to earth to reunite us with God through the ultimate sacrifice; his own life. John11:52; Acts 17:26; Jeremiah 3:18; Romans 6:5
3. Jesus came to save the world of sin. John 3:17
4. He came to destroy him that has the power of death, that is the devil. Hebrew 2: 14
5. Jesus came to redeemed us from the curse of the law. Galatians 3:13
6. He came to give us new life in Christ Jesus. New life in Christ is the best gift we can ever receive. Romans 6:4; 2 Corinthians 5:17. 1 Peter 1:3
7. He came to deliver us from the power of darkness. Colossians 1:13
8. He came to give us everlasting life. Romans 6:23b

John 11:32-45 32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. 33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled. 34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. 35 Jesus wept. 36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him! 37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died? 38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it. 39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. 40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? 41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. 42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. 43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. 44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. 45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him. I wanted to post all of John 11 but there is a limit! Verse 25 is amazing, please go read the whole chapter later. He Began All Things With Prayer It didn’t matter if the issue at hand was profound or an everyday incident, Jesus began all things with prayer. While Jesus was being baptized, He prayed (Luke 3:21-22). Before setting out to preach and cast out demons throughout Galilee, He rose a greatwhile before sunrise to pray (Mark 1:35-39). When the people rolled the stone away from Lazarus’s tomb, Jesus prayed for all to hear before raising him from the dead (John11: 4-44). And as He sat at a table for dinner with two disciples on the road to Emmaus, He simply prayed (Luke 24:30-31). Jesus’s example leads us to pray before taking that new job, before a proposal of marriage, and on the way to work every morning. Beginning all things in prayer is a foundational discipline of the Christian life. The times of praying in stillness and solitude are when God reaches into our minds, emotions, and wills—the deepest places of our souls. In the quietness of prayer we free ourselves from the constant distractions of the world and the nagging whispers of our past, dysfunctions, and sins. Beginning all things in prayer during the day and having close and continual fellowship in prayer with God will leave its mark on us. As we follow our Lord by beginning everything in prayer, we position ourselves to receive the glorious benefits that flow from this way of living. First and foremost, prayer is our path to intimacy with God. There is no other way to deeply know God apart from the stillness of prayer (Psalm 46:10). Jesus Wept
by Joyce Butler
“Jesus wept.” John 11:35
When many of us were children and our parents asked us to say a Bible verse to bless the meal, we would say, “Jesus wept.”  The shortest verse in the Bible found at John11:35, it probably is one that says so very much about His love for us. This verse is after Jesus comes to Mary and Martha upon hearing of their brother, Lazarus’, death. The Bible tells us that Jesus was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. He wept and after a short conversation with Martha about trusting Him, He prayed and raised Lazarus after he had been dead four days.
I don’t believe that Jesus wept only because Lazarus had died, or that He loved Lazarus so much (as the Jews who were watching thought), but He also wept because after all the time He had spent with Mary, Martha, and others, they still doubted His divinity and/or His power. I think that at that point, being God and man, Jesus wept because He loved not only Mary and Martha, but all of His people, and He knew that they still just did not understand. It was a hurt so deep that it could not be expressed. All He could do was weep for Jerusalem, His followers, His chosen ones – us.
When Mary reached Jesus she said that if He had only been there, Lazarus would not have died. Mary believed, like Martha that Jesus was the Son of God, yet she had not reached the point of fully trusting in His power. Since He is the Son of God, can He not raise the dead?
How many times have we believed in God, but denied His power? How many times have we prayed with one eye open and one eye closed, wondering if the request would be granted. If it is not, we are not surprised. If it is, we are amazed.  From a human point of view, it is not a surprise that Jesus – who loved us so much that His purpose for being born in a barn and laid in a feeding trough – was to be tortured beyond recognition, suffer and die on a cross. God did all of this just so we would believe and one day live in Heaven, and yet we still do not believe. No wonder He wept!
We sinful, ungrateful, and selfish humans weep for a lot less. We weep because of our own selfish sacrifices. Rarely, do we weep because of the hurting of others. We sympathize. We may even donate money and sometimes our time – if we have an abundance of one or the other – and if we get recognized for it. But, we don’t weep, not like Jesus wept.
We weep over broken relationships – and it is normal and natural. But, do we weep over a broken relationship with the Lord? You know, those times when we betray Him. Yes, we betray Him. We grieve the Holy Spirit and betray the Lord every time we sin. Every time we refuse to love that other person because he or she is different. We talk about loving God, but we hate others. We talk about loving God, but we refuse to give to the disadvantaged or disenfranchised in our country because many are different. We betray the Lord every single time we do not love others – period.
Jesus wept because we will not weep for our faults and failures and the faults and failures of others. Jesus wept because He is love and we refuse to love as He loves. Jesus wept because we will not forgive those who have hurt us – as He has forgiven us. Jesus wept because He loved us, in spite of our sin that would eventually nail Him to the cross.  Jesus wept with a pain and a love we will never understand until we, someday, see Him as He is in glory in Heaven.
