The music universe seems to be visiting Vegas this weekend. But a performer not in town is creating buzz around the amps.
Harry Styles is in the center of reports from informed individuals he will be the next Sphere headliner announced. This is not formally confirmed, but word is Styles would launch his series in March.
Styles and Phish have been name-dropped consistently among those familiar with The Sphere’s booking plans. Trey Anastasio’s band was held up as a top contender for New Year’s Eve. Not anymore. Phish has announced four NYE dates at Madison Square Garden to close the calendar.
Combining yet-to-be-formalized plans, look for Phish at The Sphere in April, after Styles.
Styles has also been held up as a performer for the Super Bowl halftime show at Allegiant Stadium in February. Such an appearance would serve as a wonderful way to announce a show in Vegas. But those who know Styles’ plans say he is not planning on performing at the Super Bowl.
But Styles is an apt fit for The Sphere. It’s far easier to list the reasons why he’d play the glorious globe than not. In 2022, Styles sold out a 15-show residency at Madison Square Garden. He’s a hitmaker, with “Harry’s House” winning the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
The first single from that album, “As It Was.” was the No. 1 song internationally by Billboard calculations.
Also, Styles’ sequined bodysuits and boas delight all variety of fan.
And Styles is managed by Irving Azoff’s Full Stop Management entertainment agency. Azoff, who runs the company with his son Jeffrey, is entertainment industry royalty. Azoff the elder is reportedly involved in booking The Sphere as a consultant with venue partner Madison Square Garden Entertainment.
Another of Azoff’s clients: U2. At The Sphere, everything comes full circle.

JERRY LEWIS 90TH BIRTHDAY PARTY
Throughout the day Wednesday, Jerry Lewis was wondering if anything was being planned for his 90th birthday. He was asking his family such cryptic questions as, “Are we doing anything tonight?”
Of course.
Lewis was given a surprise wingding at a favorite Las Vegas haunt, Piero’s Italian Restaurant, a fete bestowed by restaurant owner and longtime friend Freddie Glusman. About 30 members of Lewis’ family and assorted friends turned out for a grand night of dinner, drinks, laughs and — of course — a cake. Lewis was led to a private dining room at the back of the restaurant, where a debate ensued about how to behave during the legend’s entrance. “Turn off the lights and shut up!” was the directive of Claudia Stabile Marghilano, wife of master guitarist Joe Lano and whose late husband, Joe Stabile, was Lewis’ manager for nearly 60 years.
“Why?” called out Steve Lawrence, seated next to Glusman at the head of the table. “He can’t hear, and he can’t see!”
The debate went dark, and Lewis arrived with his wife, Sam, as the room erupted. Lewis’ daughter Danielle warmly said to her father, “Thank you for being my best friend.” Glusman soon stood to thank Lewis for his lifetime of friendship, remembering that Piero’s was given a huge boost when Lewis mentioned the restaurant during the MDA Labor Day Telethon broadcasts. “There are two Jerry’s who made Piero’s a success,” Glusman said. “Jerry Lewis and Jerry Tarkanian.”
A video of celebs was played for the group, a clip full of messages from an array of stars including Al Pacino, Don Rickles, Jennifer Lopez, John Travolta, Celine Dion, Peter Bogdanovich, Criss Angel, Carl Reiner, Nicolas Cage, Tony Orlando, Chris Meloni, Woody Harrelson and agent Jeff Witjas. Rickles, who turns 90 on May 8, closed the video with, “Happy Birthday. Now go to the doctor!”
Adding to the well-wishers was Wayne Newton, who sent a note of congratulations during the party. In the group of invitees was comic Dane Cook, who in 2011 met Lewis at the Los Angeles premiere of the documentary “Method to the Madness of Jerry Lewis.” “Ever since, we’ve become great friends,” Cook said during dinner. “We just call each other randomly to talk.” The requisite cake presentation was a two-pronged affair. We had the traditional blowing of the candles, but before that an oversized cake was brought to the room by Danielle.
“I know somebody is in there!” Lewis laughed, as the costume disassembled to present Melody Sweets of “Absinthe” singing a sultry “Happy Birthday,” toying with Lewis and Glusman during the number. Afterward, Lawrence seized the cake top and brought it to Lewis, saying, “Here, you might want this later.” We did hear from the man of the moment, who set down his wine and took the mic.
“I want to say that I am so delighted to make 90 and to have all of my friends here,” Lewis said, his voice wavering. “It’s such a lovely, wonderful, exciting thing for me. I’m so proud … so grateful, and I can’t really explain the feeling of seeing all these faces that have made my life wonderful. Thank you.”
That soft and simple message deserved a round of applause and a long line of hugs. Jerry Lewis got all of that, too.
#i feel like crying#he was so full of energy#he no longer saw#no longer walked#no longer heard#yet he was still so tenaciously clinging to Life!#as a child ... he wanted the party in his honor ❤️#this man for me is a great example of life#jerry lewis

Nevada brothel owner’s ‘death bed’ finds home at Zak Bagans’ museum
By John Katsilometes Las Vegas Review-Journal

The late Nevada brothel owner Dennis Hof is being memorialized at Zak Bagans’ The Haunted Museum.
The “death bedroom” of Hof, who owned seven bordellos and won a Nevada Assembly race three weeks after dying, is being recreated at Bagans’ museum at 600 E. Charleston Blvd.
Madam Suzette, the heir to Hof’s empire, has turned over to Bagans the entire bedroom set from Hof’s Love Ranch in Crystal, just north of Pahrump.
Hof died in that room of a heart attack on Oct. 16, 2018. He was 72.
“They told me Dennis would have liked this to be set up because ‘that’s how he was,’” Bagans said Sunday in a text message.
Bagans, host of “Ghost Adventures” on Travel Channel, is expanding his haunted empire in Las Vegas this year. He now needs to find space in his museum fortress to properly display the room and should have it together by late spring or early summer.
Hof’s death generated national intrigue largely because of his foray into Nevada politics. Running for state Assembly as a Republican and calling himself “The Trump of Pahrump,” the brothel overlord prevailed in the November 2108 statewide election, beating out Democrat Lesia Romanov. The Nye County Commission appointed Republican Gregory Hafen II to the seat the following December.
Hof’s Love Ranch master bedroom is also well-known as the same suite where ex-NBA player Lamar Odom overdosed in 2015. Odom fell into a coma from what he described in his memoir, “Darkness To Light,” as “an unholy concoction of cocaine, cognac and cannabis.”
Bagans said Madam Suzette told him the bed itself is “cursed.” Maybe so. There’s no question fans will file into the haunted fortress to find out.

With MÖTLEY CRÜE having just wrapped up the final show of the U.S. leg of “The Stadium Tour,” fans might be wondering if the band is done touring for good.
