Arsenal defeated Newcastle 2-0 in the 13th round of the Premier League for the 2021/22 season held at the Emirates Stadium in London, England at 9:30 pm on the 27th.

Arsenal, led by Arteta, started in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was at the forefront, with Saka, Odegor and Emile Smith Lowe leading the second-line attack. Sambi Roconga and Thomas Patti were the volanchi, and the four backs were Tommyas, Ben White, Gabriel Marjallangis and Nunu Tavares. The goal was kept by Ramsdale.

Arsenal missed the perfect goal in the 41st minute. Emile Smith Lowe headed Saka's cross, but Dubravka saved it. Aubameyang pushed the ball into the corner, but it hit the post and flowed.

Arsenal continued to attack in the second half and eventually took the lead. In the 11th minute of the second half, Saka, who took over a triangular pass against Smith Lowe-Tavares, shook the net. However, after Saka scored, he felt discomfort in his left leg and sat down. In the 19th minute of the second half, he was substituted for Martinelli and left the field.

Martinelli scored as soon as he came on as a substitute. In the 21st minute of the second half, Martinelli took over Tomiyas' cross and scored with a shot straight away.

Newcastle conceded two goals and attacked aggressively, and when the back space was opened, Arteta put in a quick Lacazette and aimed for a counterattack. In the 41st minute of the second half, Saint-Maximin attempted a mid-range shot, but was blocked by Ramsdale's save and Arsenal maintained a clean sheet.
