Today I was teaching about short-term vs long-term mindsets and values in HPX Coaching. One big choice is impulse control and how that affects your life. For me, I’ve had to control for that because I’m on the road at events all the time and EVERYONE wants to take the speaker out for drinks. I’m offered alcohol pretty much every day of my life. I’ve learned to turn it away 99% of the time so that I can be my best. I have no issue with drinking, and I love a glass of wine or a beer or pina colada here and there. But to be my best I have to choose LONG TERM health over short term pleasures. Curious how do you deal with drinking or bad food on the road? . . .
