media release: NORA'S FIRST SOLO CONCERT THIS DECEMBER

Datuk Nora Ariffin's dream of holding her solo concert will come true on December 18 at Stage 1 Theatre, PJ Pac, 1 Utama E, Petaling Jaya, starting at 8:30 PM.

The concert, titled Hanya Satu: Datuk Nora Ariffin (30 Years Journey), is in celebration of Nora's 30-year involvement in the local music industry. Nora expressed her gratitude for the realization of her long-awaited solo concert.

"This concert is especially for my loyal fans. They have always supported me, and this is my gift and appreciation to all of you. It's also an important moment in my music career, so I'll make sure to give my best," Nora added.

This concert is specially presented by Nora’s own company, Johan Nawawi Sdn Bhd (JNSB), with support from the Ministry of Communication and MyCreative Ventures Group.

"We from Johan Nawawi Sdn Bhd wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Ministry of Communication via MyCreative Ventures Group for the continuous support of the government to the building of the creative industry through Dana Kandungan Kreatif Persembahan Muzik," she said. Nora also appreciates the government's support in giving opportunities to artists like her to hold concerts.

Meanwhile, the concert’s Project Manager and Producer, Alita Aris, said they wanted the concert to be exclusive and intimate for Nora’s loyal fans and supporters over the last 30 years.

During the two-hour concert, Nora will perform 17 of her popular and timeless songs from 18 albums. Among the songs are Di Persimpangan Dilema, Naluri (Hadirlah Kekasih), Sandiwara, Menyemai Cinta Bersamamu, Renungan Terakhir,  Jentayu and many more.

Alita said one special segment of the concert is a tribute to Johan Nawawi, honoring Nora's late husband, Johan Nawawi.

"As a respected composer, producer, and music arranger in the country, the late Johan played an important role and was a pillar of success in Nora’s career as a singer," she said.

Additionally, Alita mentioned that the concert will be enhanced by experienced individuals in the local music industry, such as Jennifer Thompson as the Performance Director and Aubrey Suwito as the Music Director. Jennifer expressed that being involved in this concert is very special and an honor for her.

"Nora has a unique vocal and iconic songs. The collaboration with Music Director Aubrey Suwito will certainly make this a remarkable performance," she said.

Also present at the press conference today was Dato' Nasser Abu Kassim, a respected veteran in the music industry, who was responsible for signing Nora as a Warner Music recording artist back in 1994.

Earlier this morning, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) rolled out its livelihood assistance program- Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PBG) in Bataan. It aims to aid micro entrepreneurs affected by calamities nationwide. Under the PBG program, DTI provides financial assistance of P10,000 and educational materials after profiling and giving business training to existing micro entrepreneurs. Out of the 83 beneficiaries province-wide, 11 recipients are from Balanga City. The awarding ceremony at the covered court of Barangay Doña Francisca was graced by Asec. Flordelona Amate, 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman, 2nd District Representative Joet Garcia, Provincial Governor Albert Garcia, and City Mayor Francis Anthony Garcia. PUTRAJAYA, 7 Zulhijjah 1438H, Selasa – Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) memanggil Pengarah Komunikasi Strategik, Pejabat Menteri Besar Selangor, Yin Shao Loong hari ini berhubung kes melibatkan Universiti Selangor (UNISEL).

Pegawai terbabit dilihat hadir di ibu pejabat SPRM, kira-kira jam 10 pagi tadi untuk memberi keterangan berkaitan isu pertikaian kontrak antara UNISEL dengan syarikat konsesi, Jana Niaga Sdn Bhd (JNSB).

“Berangkat ke Putrajaya. SPRM memanggil saya di bawah Seksyen 30 (1)(a) berkaitan dengan penyiasatan UNISEL selepas laporan yang difailkan oleh Pemuda UMNO Kelana Jaya,” kata Yin menerusi kenyataan di akaun Twitternya.

Sementara itu, Pengarah Siasatan SPRM, Datuk Simi Abd Ghani mengesahkan kehadiran Yin di pejabat suruhanjaya itu hari ini.

Katanya, siasatan SPRM merangkumi isu pembayaran oleh Menteri Besar Diperbadankan (MBI) kepada Jana Niaga Sdn Bhd (JNSB) bagi projek UNISEL.

Minggu lalu, SPRM membuat kampus UNISEL di Shah Alam, pejabat Pemerbadanan Menteri Besar (MBI), pejabat JNSB di Desa Pandan dan kampus induk Unisel di Bestari Jaya.

Difahamkan, isu membabitkan penyelesaian antara UNISEL dan syarikat konsesi itu diketahui umum selepas Pergerakan Pemuda UMNO Bahagian Kelana Jaya pada 8 Julai lalu membuat laporan kepada SPRM Selangor berhubung penyelesaian itu yang didakwa meragukan.

MBI dipercayai membuat bayaran kepada JNSB menerusi dua transaksi iaitu RM10 juta pada 2015 dan RM6 juta lagi pada 2016 selain wujud dakwaan JNSB mendapat pampasan kewangan dan kontrak baharu daripada UNISEL walaupun gagal menyempurnakan kontrak sedia ada.

23 Ogos 2017 | Azmin Ali Lari Ke Zurich, Bila Pejabat Sendiri Kena Serbu SPRM Ketika Lim Guan Eng dituduh kes rasuah banglo Jalan Pinhorn, Setiausaha Agung DAP itu telah lari ke China kononnya atas urusan kerajaan negeri. Skrip yang sama turut dilakukan oleh Timbalan Presiden PKR, Mohamed Azmin Ali. Apabila SPRM menyerbu pejabat Pemerbadanan Menteri Besar (MBI) pada 22 Ogos 2017. Azmin Ali awal awal lagi sudah 'angkat kaki' lari ke Zurich. Melalui akaun twitter miliknya, jam 1.46 pagi, 22 Ogos 2017, hari yang sama SPRM serbu ofisnya. Azmin Ali telah tweet : "Tiba di Zurich petang tadi mengetuai delegasi pelaburan Kerajaan Negeri Selangor." Azmin Ali mungkin mendapat ilham itu dari Guan Eng. Mereka berdua dilihat menghabiskan masa bersama sama di Rainbow Skywalk, Komtar pada waktu tengahari sehinggalah makan malam bersama sama di Penang. Azmin mendapat ilham melarikan diri dari Guan Eng. Manakala CEO MBI iaitu Raja Shahreen pula sedang berada di Mekah bagi mengerjakan ibadah haji. Azmin ternyata berada dalam ketakutan apabila terdedahnya dokumen salah guna kuasa dan rasuah melibatkan dirinya sebagai CEO MBI. Dokumen itu telah terdedah kepada umum pada 8 Julai 2017 menerusi blog Selangor-Leaks. Pemuda UMNO Kelana Jaya juga telah membuat laporan kepada pihak SPRM berkaitan "Skandal 16 Juta UNISEL" ini pada 8 Ogos 2017. Skandal campur tangan MBI, yang mana Azmin adalah Pengerusinya, dalam penyelesaian pertikaian kontrak di antara syarikat Jana Niaga Sdn. Bhd. (JNSB) dan Universiti Selangor (Unisel) melibatkan kos RM16 juta dipercayai dilakukan secara salah guna kuasa. SPRM mengesan MBI menerusi Azmin Ali selaku CEO, telah meminta membuat pembayaran kepada JNSB melalui dua transaksi iaitu sebanyak RM10 juta pada 2015 dan RM6 juta pada 2016. Sedangkan JNSB yang sebelum ini menjalankan kerja kerja penyelenggaraan kediaman pelajar di kampus UNISEL di Bestari Jaya telah pun ditamatkan kontrak oleh universiti berkenaan. Atas alasan itu, SPRM dari Ibu Pejabat Putrajaya melakukan lima serbuan ke atas ketiga-tiga entiti terbabit. Empat Pegawai SPRM melakukan serbuan di kampus induk Unisel, Bestari Jaya, Kuala Selangor, yang terdapat sebuah lagi pejabat JNSB, bermula pukul 11.10 pagi dan siasatan berakhir kira-kira lima jam setengah kemudian. Dalam serbuan itu, Pegawai SPRM turut membawa keluar tiga kotak berisi dokumen. Mungkin inilah sebabnya mengapa Azmin menjadi satu-satunya pemimpin kerajaan negeri yang paling takut untuk menjemput SPRM bagi mengangkat sumpah Ikrar Bebas Rasuah (IBR). Kita tunggu dan lihat apa pula reaksi Nik Nazmi, Exco Pendidikan Negeri Selangor. Dipercayai turut sama ke Zurich  bersama Azmin. Diam Azmin tidak menjawab isu "Skandal 16 Juta" ini. Nik Nazmi kata RM16 juta itu "penyelesaian". Penyelesaian atau "kawtim" ? Memang begitulah cara Azmin, diam dan buat buat bisu pada semua isu di Selangor. Sama taktik macam bapa angkatnya, Mahathir. Soalan sidang DUN hanya 14% dijawab, sidang DUN yang patutnya 10 hari jadi 2 hari sahaja. Rupanya Azmin enggan jawab sebab takut. Duit apa sampai RM16 juta ini? Jika Azmin tidak bersalah, kenapa dia 'lari' ke Zurich dengan alasan pelaburan kerajaan negeri? Kenapa juga Azmin masih 'keras kepala' untuk "sign" ikrar bebas rasuah? Rakyat Selangor harus lihat sendiri rakusnya kerajaan negeri Selangor. Duit yuran ribuan pelajar UNISEL telah dikumpul dan kemudian diberi RM16 juta pada syarikat yang sudah tamat kontrak. Pelajar hendak belajar. Bayar yuran untuk kediaman yang selesa. Namun akhirnya, wang itu "dicuri" dan diberikan kepada "syarikat kroni". Bila pejabat kena serbu, dia lari jauh ke "oversea".
