my theory is that mary’s song has become a sort of rwylm / hits different for taylor in terms of surprise songs because while im sure it’s somewhat simpler to perform, it’s become so highly anticipated that the pressure on her is probably similar and now she’s just too scared to even touch it 😭 and that’s why we’ll never get mary’s song surprise song
