At first Lucy being so young baffled me. Like I couldn't grasp why that specific age was chosen for her, but knowing Araki, it wasn't entirely random. Then one weekend my grandma calls me about how her church group that day went hours into discussing in length the intense life of Jesus's mom. Then it hit me like a train that catholics pushed the idea that she was 14 when the lord made her pregnant....... Lucy is a DIRECT virgin mary parallel this whole time and it took me forever to put it together, oh my lord 😂

More Lucy pony! Due to the whole “becoming a goddess” thing from canon, Rose Gold gets turned into an alicorn and renamed Golden Light! I’m not sure if I want her to stay an alicorn or have a Sunny situation where she doesn’t always have her wings/horn, but I drew her keeping her new alicorn nature! Not sure what she’d be the princess of tho lol.

She has two different cutie marks and magic colors based on her, like, wellness I suppose. When she’s all greyed out and sick from the amount of magic she has, AKA her Golden Light form, she has a gold color for her magic and her CM’s supposed to be a rose turning into rays of light. As her regular Rose Gold self though she has a pinkish color for her magic and her CM is a rose with sparkles!

Also I gave her a gradient on her hooves/legs bc she’s originally an Earth Pony and since Cadence has a gradient on her wings Goldie can have a gradient too! (Even if I don’t think that’s the canon reason why Cadence has a gradient tho lol)
