Promised 9
chapter - 0
Fromis_9 x Male reader Word Count: 4.5k+ Chapters : One
a/n: This is just set up of the story, no smut in this chapter. but this chapter is important, for the story.
The classroom buzzed with the faint whispers of students exchanging notes and furtive glances at their phones. You sat slouched at the back, staring blankly at your open notebook, the pages still pristine except for a single doodle in the corner: a coffee cup. You idly tapped your pen against the desk, your thoughts drifting far from the lecture.
“Mr. Kang Junho!”
The sharp voice of your Professor Min snapped You back to reality. The room fell silent, and all eyes turned toward you. You straightened, blinking rapidly as the professor leveled a stern gaze at you from the podium.
“Care to join us in this riveting discussion, or are you busy solving life’s great mysteries back there?” Professor Min’s voice was tinged with sarcasm.
“Uh, no, sir. I mean, yes, I’m listening,” You stammered, scratching the back of your neck. A few chuckles rippled through the classroom.
Satisfied, the professor adjusted his glasses and continued, pacing slowly across the front of the room. “As I was saying, today’s topic is about myths and their reflection of humanity. Take, for instance, the legend of the Promised Nine.”
The room quieted, the students now leaning in slightly. Professor Min always had a way of making even the dullest of topics sound compelling.
“Long ago, during a time when humanity was steeped in chaos, war, and unrelenting greed, there was a king—a wise man, yet weary of the barbarism that plagued his people. No matter how many treaties he signed or how many battles he fought, peace was fleeting. He despaired, knowing that humanity’s greatest enemy was not the sword but the emotions that drove men to wield it: pride, envy, wrath, greed, gluttony, sloth, lust, apathy, deceit…”
Junho’s attention perked up. There was something strangely familiar about the words, though you couldn’t place why.
“So the king, in his desperation, climbed the tallest mountain in the land to plead with the deity who ruled the heavens. He begged for salvation, not for himself, but for humanity. The deity listened, moved by the king’s earnestness. But salvation comes with a cost.”
Professor Min paused dramatically, glancing at his captivated audience. “A promise was made—a sacred pact between the king and the deity. Aid would be sent to humanity, not as armies or riches, but as nine beings, each representing the most volatile of human emotions. Their purpose? To keep the balance of these forces, preventing anyone from consuming the world.”
He walked over to the whiteboard and wrote the words The Promised Nine in bold letters.
“But there was a catch,” he continued. “The deity warned the king that these emotions, though tempered, could never truly be eradicated. The Promised Nine would struggle with the very forces they were meant to contain. And should even one of them fall to the temptation of their burden…”
Professor Min trailed off, his gaze sweeping the room.
“What would happen?” a student near the front blurted, unable to resist.
“Should one of the Nine succumb, their emotion would consume them entirely, turning them into a force of destruction. And that destruction could spread unchecked, tipping the scales and plunging the world into chaos once more. To prevent this, the Deity decreed that the Nine would be connected to a chosen mortal—an anchor. This anchor would serve as their confidant, grounding them when the weight of their burden became too great to bear.”
He turned back to the whiteboard, writing in large, bold letters: The Promised Nine.
“The anchor is as important as the Nine themselves,” he said. “Without them, the balance could not be maintained. The king agreed to the Diety’s terms, knowing full well the cost. And thus, the Promised Nine came into being.”
Professor Min stepped back from the board, his expression somber. “But the Diety’s warning still lingers in the echoes of time: no balance lasts forever. The story of the Promised Nine reminds us that humanity’s greatest strength—and its greatest threat—lies within ourselves.”
The shrill ring of the bell echoed through the room, breaking the spell. Students began packing their bags, the hum of chatter returning.
“Read chapters six through eight for next week!” Professor Min called over the noise.
You gathered your things slowly, the tale still turning over in your mind. As you slung your bag over your shoulder and made your way to the door, you muttered to yourself, “Promised Nine, huh? Sounds like something out of a fantasy novel.”
— You exit the lecture hall, slipping into the stream of students flowing out into the bustling campus courtyard. The sun dips low in the sky, casting long shadows and a warm orange glow over everything. You glance at your watch—just enough time to get to your part-time job.
The café isn’t far, a cozy little spot just outside the university gates. Its charming wooden sign, Golden Brew, sways slightly in the breeze. The place is always busy, a favorite among students and faculty alike. But there’s one reason it stands out from the dozens of other coffee shops around: its owner, Gyuri.
You push through the door, greeted by the familiar hum of chatter, clinking cups, and the hiss of the espresso machine. The café smells like roasted beans and freshly baked pastries—a comforting combination that feels like a second home.
“Junho, you’re late!”
The voice is soft yet commanding, and you immediately straighten, turning to the counter. There she is—Gyuri, the radiant owner of Golden Brew. Her beauty is the kind that leaves people momentarily breathless. stood effortlessly graceful in her casual white t-shirt and mint-green cap, her gentle features framed by stray strands of hair and a gaze as warm as the morning sun
“I-I’m sorry, Ms. Gyuri,” you stammer, bowing slightly as you head toward the staff room to put your bag away.
“It’s fine, just don’t make a habit of it, okay?” she replies, her voice as warm as the golden light streaming through the café windows.
“Yes, of course!” you reply quickly, though you can’t shake the sense of unease you always feel around her.
It’s not fear, exactly. Gyuri is unfailingly warm and generous. She treats her staff like family, remembers the names of regulars, and always has a smile for everyone who walks through the door. Still, you find yourself hyper-aware of her moods, as though disappointing her might lead to something far worse than a lecture.
When you emerge from the staff room in your apron, Gyuri is already behind the counter, expertly steaming milk for a cappuccino. “Can you handle table seven’s order? They’ve been waiting a bit.”
You grab the tray, carefully balancing two lattes and a slice of cheesecake, weaving your way through the maze of tables. It’s almost automatic at this point—sidestepping bags, dodging half-turned chairs—but when you reach the corner table, you stop.
She’s there.
Seoyeon.
She’s a regular, not a student or faculty, just... always here. You’ve seen her enough times to notice the details: the dark circles under her eyes, natural and striking, framing her otherwise delicate features. She’s beautiful in a way that sneaks up on you—her sleepy, almost lazy demeanor masks something deeper.
She’s hunched over her laptop, typing slowly, as if testing each word before committing to it. The oversized navy shirt drapes over her frame, and her hair carelessly tied, some falls messily around her face. You set the tray down gently, not wanting to disturb whatever she’s working on.
“Thanks,” she mutters without looking up, her voice soft, almost as if she’s halfway to falling asleep.
You nod, even though she doesn’t see it, and glance at her screen. It’s filled with text—lines upon lines of words you can’t make sense of from this angle. Stories, maybe? Essays? You don’t know, and it’s not your place to ask.
As you turn to leave, she stretches, her movements slow and languid, like she has all the time in the world. For a moment, you wonder what keeps her coming back here, day after day, to sit in that same spot, typing away.
But you shake the thought off. You’ve got other tables to serve.
.You make your way back behind the counter, tray in hand. It’s a small relief to retreat to this spot, even if only for a few moments. Manning the cashier is easier—less weaving between tables, fewer chances to trip or spill something. The register beeps softly as you organize receipts and prepare for the next wave of customers.
The door opens, and the atmosphere in the café shifts. It’s subtle, like a faint breeze stirring through a room, but you notice it immediately. Heads turn—students and faculty alike—and conversations falter as if someone hit pause.
You glance up and freeze.
Jiheon.
Her name is spoken in hushed tones across campus, her presence both admired and untouchable. She moves with an effortless grace that feels out of place in the mundane setting of the café, her bright smile commanding attention without even trying. But it’s her eyes that hold you—the way they curve into crescent moons with a hint of something sharper, more mischievous, just beneath the surface.
To your utter disbelief, she walks directly to the counter. Your counter.
“Hi there,” she says, her voice smooth and casual, like she’s greeting an old friend. Her gaze locks onto yours, and her smile widens slightly. “You’re Junho, right?”
You blink, caught so off guard that you almost drop the pen in your hand. “Uh… yeah?” Your answer comes out as more of a question than a confirmation.
Her smile grows, as if your awkwardness amuses her. “Thought so. I’m Jiheon.” She leans in just slightly, resting one hand on the counter. “I’ve heard a lot about you.”
Your wariness kicks in. Jiheon—the Jiheon—is talking to you? Asking for your name? It feels like the kind of thing that only happens to other people. Your eyes flick briefly to Gyuri at the other end of the counter. She’s busy steaming milk, not even sparing a glance in Jiheon’s direction.
“Nice to meet you,” you manage, your voice steadier this time, though your thoughts are racing. “Uh, caramel macchiato?” You blurt the question out more out of instinct than anything else.
Her laugh is light, lilting, but there’s something playful in it, like she’s already decided you’re her new source of entertainment. “Hmm. Good guess,” she teases, tapping a finger against the counter. “Sure, I’ll have that. But I’m impressed you remembered. I didn’t think I was that predictable.”
You feel your face heat up, fumbling to punch her order into the register. “It’s not that, I just—uh—” You stop, realizing anything you say will just dig you deeper.
She watches you, clearly enjoying the way you stumble over your words. “Relax, Junho,” she says, her tone soft but undeniably amused. “I’m just messing with you.”
Handing her the receipt, you attempt a smile. “Coming right up.”
Instead of moving to find a seat, she lingers by the counter, her eyes drifting lazily around the café before landing back on you. “Nice place. Gyuri’s done a great job here, hasn’t she?”
Your gaze flicks to Gyuri again. Still busy. Still not looking this way. “Yeah, she has,” you reply, keeping your voice neutral.
Jiheon tilts her head, her smile still firmly in place. “You two seem close,” she muses, her tone light but probing. “Gyuri’s lucky to have someone like you helping her out.”
The way she says it makes you feel like she’s toying with you, testing your reaction. “I just do what I can,” you say cautiously.
Her eyes light up, as if you’ve said something particularly amusing. “I bet you do.” She straightens up and takes a step back. “Well, Junho, it’s been… enlightening.” Her smile takes on an almost cat-like quality. “Thanks for the drink. I’ll be around.”
As she walks away to find a seat, the tension in your shoulders eases, but her presence lingers like a shadow. You glance at Gyuri one last time, hoping for some kind of reaction, but she’s focused on the drinks in front of her, her usual calm smile in place.
And yet, for just a moment, you swear there’s something almost knowing in the way she glances at Jiheon’s retreating figure..
— The bell above the door jingles as the last customer leaves, and you let out a long breath, leaning against the counter. The café feels different now—quiet, peaceful, but heavy with the lingering scent of coffee and pastries. It’s nighttime, and the warm glow of the overhead lights gives the empty space a cozy but slightly eerie feel.
“Good job today, Junho,” Gyuri says, flashing you one of her signature warm smiles as she locks the cash register.
“Thanks, Ms. Gyuri,” you reply, your voice softer than usual in the now-empty café.
After finishing up your closing duties—wiping down tables, stacking chairs, and sweeping the floors—you grab your jacket and step out into the cool night air. The streets are quieter now, with only a few scattered groups of students heading home. You adjust your backpack, your thoughts already drifting toward the comfort of your cramped boarding room.
As you turn a corner, someone bumps into you.
“Ah, sorry,” you mumble automatically, stepping back.
The girl doesn’t even glance up, her eyes glued to her phone. She’s wearing what looks like an e-sport jersey jacket, its bold colors contrasting with the dark street. Her brown hair catches the ambient glow of the streetlights, faintly shining as she moves past you. For a brief moment, her face is illuminated, and it’s enough to leave an impression.
She’s stunning.
Before you can fully process it, your impulse kicks in. You take a step forward, clearing your throat. “Hey, uh, I’m Junho...”
But she doesn’t respond. Her focus remains solely on the screen of her phone, and she keeps walking, oblivious to your presence.
You stand there for a second, feeling a bit foolish, then shake your head. The image of her lingers in your mind as she disappears into the night, leaving you with nothing but the quiet hum of the street.
When you finally reach your room, you fumble with your keys and push the door open. It’s as small and cramped as ever, but it’s yours. You toss your jacket onto the single chair by the desk, only to realize something’s missing. Your bag. You groan, running a hand through your hair. You must’ve left it at the café in your rush to leave. There’s no helping it—you’ll have to go back.
The walk feels longer this time, the quiet streets amplifying the sound of your footsteps. As you get closer, a strange unease settles in your chest. The air feels heavier, the streetlights casting elongated shadows that seem to move just out of sync with your steps. Your skin prickles, as if something unseen is watching.
When you reach the café, you notice something strange. Cars are parked outside. Not just any cars—luxury vehicles, sleek and expensive, the kind you’d expect to see in a high-end district, not outside a cozy student café. Their polished exteriors gleam under the soft glow of the streetlights, each one a testament to sophistication and taste.
Your gaze drifts across the lineup, catching details that feel oddly personal. A jet-black SUV, imposing and understated. A sapphire blue Porsche, sharp and vibrant, eerily luring you in. Your eyes stop briefly on a compact car that feels out of place among the giants—a Mini Cooper. Its emerald green paint shimmers, the kind of green that feels rich and alive, paired with racing stripes that speak of personality rather than pure extravagance. It’s less ostentatious but undeniably stylish, a subtle standout among its peers.
As you approach, an inexplicable resistance builds inside you, like a pressure against your chest. Your feet feel heavier, your thoughts fuzzier, and for a brief moment, you consider turning around. The café seems distant, almost unreal, like it’s shifting away even as you step closer. But you shake it off, forcing yourself forward.
You head to the backdoor, fishing out the spare key Gyuri gave you for emergencies. Pushing it open, you step into the staff area and spot your bag right where you left it. Relieved, you sling it over your shoulder and turn to leave.
That’s when you hear it.
The faint jingle of the front doorbell breaks the silence, followed by muffled voices.
You freeze. The café should be empty, but there’s a light seeping through the crack of the door leading to the main lobby. Slowly, you step closer, curiosity outweighing caution.
Peeking through the door, you see her.
She steps inside like she owns the air she breathes, her presence commanding yet effortless. Her long, jet-black hair cascades down her back, perfectly straight, with sharp bangs framing her face. Under the glow of the café lights, her striking blue eyes seem almost unnatural, as if they were cut from the sky itself.
For a moment, her gaze sweeps the café, and then it lands directly on you.
Your heart skips a beat. You’re sure you’ve been caught—your face heats up, and you’re ready to stammer some excuse about being here after hours. But her expression doesn’t shift.
Her lips curl into a smile, slow and deliberate, as if she’s been waiting for this very moment. It’s the kind of smile that feels personal, like it holds a secret meant only for you.
But then, as quickly as her eyes found yours, they slid away.
It’s deliberate—you’re certain of that. She must have seen you. And yet, she acts as if you’re invisible, as if your presence is of no consequence. She turns, her hair sweeping behind her like a silk curtain, and addresses the others in the room.
From your hidden vantage point, you take in the scene.
The café, which should have been empty, is instead alive with movement. A group of women fills the space, each one radiating an aura of distinct confidence and beauty. They aren’t just sitting or lounging; they seem to command the room, transforming it into something that feels foreign, almost sacred.
“Chaeyoung,” one of the women calls out, her tone both teasing and sharp, “you’re late.”
Your eyes dart to the source of the voice, and your breath catches—it’s her. The same woman you bumped into earlier, the one engrossed in her phone. She’s still wearing that e-sport jersey jacket, looking as effortlessly confident as she had before.
“And Nagyung? You’re not late?” Chaeyoung fires back, her tone teasing, her smile sharper now.
The casual banter between them feels like watching something private, yet you can’t look away.
Your gaze shifts to the rest of the table. The initial shock of seeing Chaeyoung fades as you take in the others, each of them equally striking in their presence. You almost stumble backward when you spot familiar faces.
Gyuri, whose warmth you’ve come to rely on, sits with an unfamiliar coolness about her. Her brow is furrowed, a faint trace of annoyance crossing her usually gentle features. It sharpens her striking appearance, making her seem like someone you’ve never truly known. There's a tension in her posture that makes you feel like you're seeing a side of her that’s been hidden until now.
Seoyeon leans lazily toward the women beside her, her relaxed posture contrasting the air of composure around the table.
The woman Seoyeon is leaning into feels strangely familiar, as if you should recognize her. She matches the others in beauty, her jet-black hair framing a delicate face. A soft smile plays at her lips, radiating warmth and charm. With luminous skin and deep, expressive eyes, she exudes an effortless elegance that captivates without even trying.
And as if that weren’t enough to leave you reeling, on the other side of the table, you recognize Lee Saerom.
The Saerom. The top celebrity, known for her flawless visuals and commanding performances.
Sitting next to her is Song Hayoung, the famous songwriter and soloist whose music dominates every chart.
They’re casually leaning into the conversation, as though their combined fame and aura aren’t enough to make this room the most exclusive place in the city.
“Is Jiwon not here yet?” Chaeyoung asks as she slips into a seat, her voice nonchalant, but her eyes scanning the room with interest.
The front doorbell jingles, and the door swings open.
“I’m here!!” a bright, piercing voice calls out.
Your head swivels toward the source, and there she is. Jiwon, bounding through the entrance like a whirlwind of energy, her grin lighting up the room before her words even have a chance.
“Jisun, did you bring food?” Jiwon’s question comes rapid-fire, her tone playful but undeniably demanding.
The woman Seoyeon was leaning into rose. She moves with calm precision, her composure stark against Jiwon’s lively presence.
"Of course, I brought food. Wouldn’t want you to starve." Jisun says, her voice soft but firm, as she produces a stack of containers seemingly out of nowhere. She places them on the table, the gesture practiced, as though she had been anticipating the request long before it was asked.
It hits you then. Roh Jisun. The world-famous chef. Known for her culinary brilliance and beauty. You've seen her multiple times before in magazines, tv, or online articles. You can hardly believe she's here, so close, exuding an effortless elegance.
“Can we finally get started? I still have to clean up after all of you,” Gyuri complained, her annoyance clear.
Now that the group had gathered, all eyes shifted to Saerom, who was waiting for their attention.
“Our youngest is losing control,” Saerom began.
“We all constantly are,” Nagyung shrugged off the concern.
“This isn't the same, you know that,” Saerom replied firmly.
“Don’t try to ignore these meetings, Nagyung. I’m losing millions just being here,” Jiwon said, flaunting her wealth.
“Must be nice having all those millions,” Hayoung remarked. While her gaze focuses on the only fork on the table, in the hands of Chaeyoung.
“You’re a millionaire too. Why are you eyeing my money?” Jiwon shot back defensively.
“Ahem!… Losing control?” Gyuri steered the conversation back on track.
Saerom, now commanding their full attention, spoke with purpose.
“We need to consider finally finding an anchor.”
“Then we’ll get an anchor. Meeting is done,” Soyeon said with a yawn, stretching.
Charyoung, still twirling the fork between her fingers, smirked. “Do we have to? I’ve been liking her attitude recently.”
“It’s time,” Saerom replied, her tone serious. “We can’t risk it. If deceit consumes her…”
“It will consume all of us,” Gyuri finished, her voice dark.
You stay frozen, trying to make sense of the conversation. Consume? Anchor? Deceit? The weight of their words sinks in, and though you know you should leave, something keeps you rooted to the spot. The truth behind their cryptic conversation is just out of reach.
Then, without warning, a soft voice whispered near your ear.
“Curiosity can be dangerous, you know.”
You nearly jump out of your skin, spinning around to find Jiheon standing inches away, her signature eye-smile curved upward in amusement. You’re certain she wasn’t there a second ago. How could she have gotten so close without making a sound?
“Wha—how—?” you stammer, instinctively taking a step back, only to hear the door creak open behind you.
Seoyeon, now fully awake, leans forward slightly, her drowsy facade giving way to genuine surprise. “How did he get here?” she asks, her voice carrying a rare edge of curiosity. Her eyes scan you, but it’s not just scrutiny—it’s disbelief, almost as if you’re some kind of anomaly.
“Who’s this?” Nagyung asks, clearly not remembering you.
“Junho,” Gyuri says softly, her voice now laced with concern and confusion. “How are you here?” Her warm demeanor has returned that almost makes you feel safe. Almost.
Your mind scrambles for an explanation, but Jiheon, ever calm, steps forward, her gaze fixed on you as if she’s reading your very thoughts.
“He overheard,” Jiheon says simply, her tone neither accusatory nor dismissive.
“Clearly” Jiwon crosses her arms, her lively energy dampened by suspicion. “Why did you let him through?” Jiheon doesn’t answer. Instead, she steps forward, closing the already narrow distance between the two of you. Her eyes glint with an eerie amusement, her head tilting slightly as she examines you like a puzzle she’s just begun to piece together.
“Regardless of how,” Saerom says, her voice cutting through the murmurs and drawing every gaze. She rises slowly, her commanding presence quieting the room once more. “What matters is why. What did he hear?”
“I didn’t mean to listen!” you blurt out, your voice shaky as you raise your hands in defense. “I—I just came back for my bag, and then I heard voices, and—”
“And stopped to eavesdrop,” Chaeyoung interrupts, her voice playful but her eyes uncomfortably sharp.
“No! I mean—yes, but not like that!” you stammer, feeling the weight of their collective stares crushing you. “It’s not what you think! I swear I won’t tell anyone!”
Gyuri sighs, stepping closer. “Junho, you don’t understand. This... what you’ve heard... it’s not something you can just walk away from.”
“I don’t know how you got through the mist ” Jisun adds, her tone firm but not unkind. “But this isn’t something just anyone can know.”
“Maybe,” Chaeyoung says, her lips curving into a sly smile, “he’s not ‘just anyone.’”
“Enough.” Saerom’s single word silences the room, her authority undeniable. Her eyes pierce through you, weighing your very existence. “What’s done is done. The question now is what we do with him.”
Your heart pounds in your chest. “Wait!” you cry, your voice desperate. “I swear I won’t say anything! I don’t even understand what I heard! Just let me go, and I’ll forget everything!”
“That’s not how this works,” Hayoung says from across the room, her voice carrying an edge as she’s now holding the fork she was eyeing earlier.
Jiheon smirks, her eyes gleaming with mischief as she takes another step closer. “Oh, Junho,” she purrs, her voice dripping with playful malice. “It’s not your fault, really. You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.” She tilts her head, her smile widening. “But... well, it’s a little late for regrets, don’t you think?”
Her hand lifts, faint cyan light dancing at her fingertips, and you can’t tear your eyes away. The glow reflects in her eyes, making her look ethereal and otherworldly.
“Jiheon, stop!” Saerom’s voice cuts through, but Jiheon doesn’t even flinch.
“Relax,” Jiheon says lightly, her tone almost soothing as she looks at you. “I’m just helping him... rest a little.”
“Jiheon!” Saerom’s command comes sharper this time, but it’s already too late.
Jiheon’s fingers flick, the cyan light tracing an elegant pattern in the air. “Just a little nap,” she whispers, her voice lilting and playful.
The moment the light touches you, an overwhelming drowsiness washes over your body. Your knees buckle, the edges of your vision darken, and Jiheon’s playful smile is the last thing you see as the world fades to black.
a/n: Before you move one the next chapter, can you guess who's who, with their pairing emotion? (Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, Sloth, Deceit, and Apathy)

fromis as your girlfriend?
ok :DDDD
~~~
You wrap your coat around Saerom and plant a kiss on her hair once you get the chance.
"I was kidding," she giggles, "I'm not that cold." Despite her words, she snuggles your coat a little bit more before she tries taking it off. However, the moment the skin of her hands are exposed to the frigid air, she shivers and rubs them together.
"There's no point in lying, Rommie. You're about as hard to read as a children's vocabulary book." Your hands meet her cheeks, a miscalculation on your part, and she shivers at how cold you are. Her eyes fill with a sort of shy sadness, but her quick thinking saves you both.
"Uhh, my legs are tired too. Carry me?" she asks bashfully, knowing you can't refuse her. Of course you oblige, and as you pick her up in a piggyback ride, she wraps both your and her coat around you to keep you warm too.
~~~
The bowl clatters to the table, spilling its contents all over the surface. Your yelp is loud and sharp, reflecting the pain that covers four of your fingers in the hot soup.
"Fucking idiot," Hayoung grunts. She rushes to wipe your hand free of the liquid, while simultaneously righting and filling the bowl your dropped with cold water. She places it in front of you and dips your fingers inside.
"Be more careful next time." Her voice is stern like it always is when you get hurt. "I can't always be around to look after you and keep you safe. It's like you're doing all this on purpose, honestly."
Behind the scolding, you know her words come from a place of genuine worry and care. Of course they do; her heart can't bear seeing you in pain. Hayoung's gaze never leaves your hand, her fingers never leave your wrist. She has to make sure you're okay.
"It was just an accident, my beloved bread loaf. It wouldn't kill me." The worry in her eyes balloon more, as if she's near tears.
Ease her worries, pull her in and plant a kiss on her exposed forehead. "But okay, I'll be careful. I'm sorry."
Her gaze softens as she finally meets your eyes. A small smile forms at the corners of her mouth before her attention returns to your healing hand.
She fishes your fingers out of the bowl and carefully kisses each one after every word: "I love you too."
~~~
You find Jiwon outside the laundry room with her arms crossed in front of her chest and a finger between her teeth, evidently lost in thought. As you approach her, the smell of detergent overpowers you, and the sound of bubbles popping vigorously out of sight grows louder and louder.
She finally notices you getting closer, and she holds out her hand to stop you. "Okay, before you get mad, know that I did everything right. Something's broken."
"What did you-" you grunt, but as you round the corner and peer into the laundry room, you find the floor covered in suds and the washing machine whirring like it never whirred before.
"See? Broken." Jiwon places her hands on her hips proudly, proud to show none of this was her fault.
Your gaze flies to her in disbelief, and her features drop in disappointment. Her eyes meet the floor between her feet and her voice lowers in volume.
"You're mad," she mutters ashamedly, "I'm sorry, honey. I don't know what happened."
The washing machine finally stops whirring, but the lights all throughout your apartment flicker. You frantically rush for the circuit breaker and flip the master switch off, nearly slipping as you do, and darkness falls all around the two of you.
"It's alright," you sigh. You pat her on the shoulder and pull her in for a snuggle. "You're not hurt, honey?" Stroke her hair and comfort her, still wary that she might be keeping something else about the situation from you.
"Nope, I'm fine, but I have to own up to something: I maaaaybe forgot to read the instructions." Her laugh cuts through the tension of the situation, and you find yourself laughing with her. It'll be a headache tomorrow to get all this fixed, but for now, it's a welcome slow dance with your girlfriend in the dark.
~~~
The two of you head off to a nearby shade as Jisun hums happily at the sweet flavor of her ice cream. She's the type to take bites out of it, and while you found that a bit weird, it takes nothing away from how much you love her.
"What flavor is that again?" you ask while licking your lips free of your own ice cream. She takes a second before meeting your eyes, evidently really enjoying her cold treat.
"It's- Ahahaha, look at you!" She points to your chin while bellowing a hearty laugh. She nearly folds in half as her joy consumes her; each time she rises and takes in the sight of you, she laughs again.
Confused, you fish our your phone and inspect yourself in the screen. In your reflection you find a dab of your rocky road on your nose and a line of it from your lower lip to your chin. It suddenly connects what Jisun was laughing so hard about:
"I'm sorry, love, you a bit look like a clown!" She struggles to get her laughter under control, but loses it when you pull a funny face for her. She pounds your chest weakly, announces her sides are starting to hurt, and yet, her laughter never lets up.
There's no shame nor judgment in her reactions, and you know full well that she's only overflowing with joy to be spending a perfect day like this out with you. There's no harm in laughing at yourself once in a while, especially when you get to hear Jisun's as well.
~~~
You shut the door behind you and walk over carefully to Seoyeon's bed. She lifts up the covers and hurries you in despite you trying your hardest not to spill the ramyeon you cooked for her.
"Thaaank you, sweetheart," she cheers, taking the bowl and chopsticks from you and placing it carefully on her lap over the blanket. She cuddles up to you happily before taking her first bite of your cooking, and she shakes in contentment once the savory taste of the food washes over her tongue.
As the TV drones on in the background, you wrap her in a warm embrace. You have half a mind to scold her, wanting to tell her off for not getting up all day, but with a sight like this, you really hate to break the peace.
Instead, you watch as she devours the ramyeon bite by bite, her eyes never leaving the TV, and her head never lifting off your shoulder. The scent of her hair fills your nose, and the warmth of her body calms you down and releases tension you didn't even know you had.
"Say aaahhhhh." Seoyeon lifts up a bite of her ramyeon and blows on it, then brings it over to your mouth. She stares expectantly as she waits for you to open up, and who are you to decline?
She thoughtfully offers you the bite of her food, her food, and you eat it gratefully. Her eyes turn into crescents as her smile takes over her features, and for a moment you take in the beauty of Lee Seoyeon.
~~~
You snap what might be the millionth picture of her today, probably not even she knows how many you've taken for her so far, and hand your phone back to her for inspection.
"Hmm, no, still not it. Take a few more." She walks back to the wall and strikes another hot pose. Her finger flies towards the stairs, and you understand that she wants you at a higher vantage point for a better angle.
You take a number of steps up the flight, and point your lens at her once more. "Chae, please, we've been here for hours. Can't you just pick the best one?" you whine, but you still fulfill your duty of snapping pictures of her. The light from the flash washes over her features and figure, and you're once again reminded that she's gorgeous. Why even whine about merely taking pictures when this is your muse?
She swipes back your phone and scrolls through your gallery, carefully scrutinizing each photo. She settles on one, and favorites it. "Hehe, thank you, baby. Send all those to me except that one with the heart. "
You take back your phone and find the photo she's talking about, and you notice that by her standards it's the best one out of them all. She flashes a beautiful smile at you, no more pictures, as she wraps you in a warm and grateful embrace.
"Why not this one? I thought you'd like it the most."
"It is! And that one you keep for yourself. Only for your eyes." She kisses you playfully on the lips before smiling again, "For being the best boyfriend ever."
~~~
The live band fills the room with a sophisticated symphony, all the while pieces of silverware clink against plates and hushed, faraway voices of the snooty and rich reach your ears. You try your best to ignore the atmosphere of this fancy dinner, with the only thing in the world making it semi-bearable having a terrible time as well.
"I can't believe I let you drag me all the way out here." Nagyung's knife clacks against the fine porcelain making up her plate, most probably leaving scratch marks on the priceless dinnerware. She retrieves a poorly-cut bite of the tough steak, sighs, and eats it anyway. Nagyung spends a bit more time than usual trying to chew the meat before ultimately swallowing with a grimace. "My mouth isn't made for food like this. I need pizza and Yakult."
"If I recall correctly," you retort, your voice unexpectedly harboring a harsh tone, "it's your fault we're here. You weren't satisfied with suffering alone and you just had to bring me along as a plus-one." The fish's pepper overwhelms your taste buds and you make for your glass of water again. Just one gulp is enough to wash it down, but the sheer amount of fish left on your plate disheartens you.
"Look, I'm sorry. I knew it'd be boring, but I didn't think it would be this bad," Nagyung sighs, shuffling her peas and corn around the plate. You can tell with how she sounds that she means it, and by the way that she acts that she regrets ever mentioning this to you.
Feeling guilty at losing your temper, you attempt to reassure her. It's the least you could do, once you realize how utterly disrespectful what you just said to her was, and try to make up for embarrassing her like that. "This ends at 11, right? Just enough time to get to that Italian place by the park before it closes?"
She looks up at you with a face riddled with shock, but then is quickly replaced with a shining grin. Her teeth gleam in the candlelight as her adorable giggles reach your ears.
"We can just about make it if we break four speeding laws on the way." Her tone is now filled with an unmatched excitement, like the first shot of espresso on a dull morning.
"Awesome. Pick up the pizza, stock up on Yakult, get the hell home. Perfect crime."
Nagyung laughs out loud, attracting the attention of a few others near your table. She covers her mouth, but the smile never leaves her eyes as she whispers: "Are we stealing the pizza too? What do you mean 'crime?!'"
"Figure of speech, dummy," you declare as you twirl your fork in the air like a wizard, "But not completely off the table."
~~~
Jiheon flips the leaf over and over, examining every vein it has. Her eyes rake over the stalk to try and find any defining features at all, but her search evidently turns up nothing of value.
"What type of tree is this?" Her question is innocent, and she's so engrossed in the specimen that she even forgets to look at you.
"Damned if I knew. What am I, a tree-ologist?" Your joke steals her attention, but she responds with only a blank stare.
"Arborist," she says in passing, her attention turning back to the leaf. "They're called arborists."
"Right..." you mutter, shame rising to your cheeks at your apparently immature attempt at humor. Jiheon is too smart for you sometimes, and you don't always connect.
She picks a leaf off the branch and walks over to you. Your girlfriend drops it onto your palm and says "Keep, please. Wanna look up when we get home."
You nod and put the leaf away in your jacket pocket, and she watches as you expertly stow her specimen in a secure place on your person. Once the both of you are sure the leaf is safe, she clings to your arm and snuggles, the image of pure joy.
"What's gotten into you?" Your question is innocent and maybe a little bit dense, but it only serves to make her smile grow wider.
Jiheon snuggles more into your arm and even plants a kiss on your shoulder. She looks up at you with adoration, but something tells you she has one teeny bit of mischief up her sleeve.
"Nothing, you're just cute, that's all. Thank you." She kisses you on the cheek and refuses to explain any further. Her eyes look ahead as the two of you continue your stroll through her neighborhood.
Jiheon is too smart for you sometimes, and you don't always connect. In the rare times that you do, it feels like the world is right. But in the times that you don't, like now, it only reminds you how much more of her you're looking forward to seeing.

Fromis_9 As Your Vampire Mothers
Lee Saerom (Alpha Vampire)
Ah, Saerom the Alpha of the clan and known to be one of the most ruthless in the sister clan
You'd think being the husband under her wing would be rather unpleasant but it's the exact opposite under her care
Saerom is literally amazing as she can juggle her responsibilities of being your wife, mother, and the Alpha of the clan
Literal softie for children such as yourself but when someone dares challenge her demeanor changes 360 degrees
Very... Very... Very... Patient, you could break a vase but if she sees it's nothing but an accident she'll forgive you
But don't let her soft and caring side fool you... If you dare misbehave she will not hesitate to correct that
Besides who are you to complain? You are married to one of the strongest and most powerful Vampire in the clan and she chose you
Privileges: She'd let you lay on her chest and lap, play with her hair, hug her almost whenever (If she's not too busy), give you all the breast milk you want, and most importantly, be under her adoration
Song Hayoung (1st Enforcer)
Being the number one enforcer besides Jiwon can be quite challenging but not to her
She'd go through the entire world just for you and that's how much you mean to her
At the beginning, you were neglected, abused, starved, shivered, you name it
When she came into your life and took you under her care, that all changed instantly
Hayoung would swear to herself that she'll protect you no matter what happens and obligated to care and nurture you for life
She'd be the wife and mother you'd never had growing up and she fits perfectly in the role
But at the same time just like Saerom, she won't hesitate to discipline you if you act up and establish rules to keep you safe and in order
Privileges: Lots of cuddles, play with her hair, sings you soft lullabies, having warm cooked meals from her, and lay on her lap
Park Jiwon (2nd Enforcer)
Although she is the second Enforcer, she is a video game addict but cannot play as much but it's a perfect excuse to spend more time with you
Loves to go out on shopping sprees with you and spoils the daylights out of you
But do not fear, her bank account is quite big and none of the bills hardly put a dent in it
Would take out to ice skate rings, she would always be attentive and hold your hand while teaching you how to skate on the ice to ensure you won't trip and injure yourself
Despite being a horror film addict throughout her entire life, she'd sadly could not watch as much as you were too young to watch such movies
That was until you were in your teenage years and that's when she began regularly watching horror movies with you and it's another excuse for her to cuddle you
Most importantly, she be a strong figure for you to look up to when growing up and would always teach you to be respectful and kind torwards others
Except that would be easier said than done as Jiwon is afraid of pigeons and despite being over 100s of years old she never got over that fear but you'd find it funny which is a win for her
Privliges: Lots and lots of cuddles, spoils you with gifts, being able to laugh at her when she gets frightened from pigeons, and always making free time just for you even if she's busy
Roh Jisun (Blood Sister)
Jisun would lowkey be the chillest and laid back mother and wife you'd come across in the Vampire Sisterhood
But she's hard working and would often be the one leading the kitchen, she plans on the menus and what the kids will be eating on certain days and ensure it's all balanced and nutritious
Growing up under her care, you'd find her quite strange at how "indefinite" she can be at times
One time, you'd accidentally dropped a plate because it slipped out of your hands and Jisun would calmly told you to sweep it up
Jisun never once yelled at you nor has she lashed out her anger once from what you can tell
Regardless, Jisun knows she has a duty to tend to and that includes taking care of you, she changed your diaper, gave you baths, feed you, and breastfeed you
But she prefers for you to start learning how to solve problems on your own with little or no help from her unlike her sisters and it's her way of indirectly teaching you problem solving skills but if it's a major issue then that's when she steps in
"M-mommy, I-uhm... Broke a vase... I'm sorry..." You confessed and she intently stared at you... "Well, what are you suppoesd to do?" She asked you. "Uhm, sweep it?" You guessed and she chuckled. "Then why are you telling me this? You know what to do!" She pointed out.
Privileges: Despite her hard demeanor she'd always be there to give you all the hugs and kisses you need, she'd read bedtime stories, let's you watch cartoons, and go outside playing
Lee Seoyeon (Blood Sister)
Seoyeon would be quite blunt and straightforward with no time to be wasted and she is a proud mother and wife
Because of this, Seoyeon would always be the mother and wife to support you on your goals and dreams and will provide you anything that you need
Seoyeon would often be given the task of babysitting whenever her sisters are away from home but boy she can manage her clan's children including her own
You'd see her left and right cleaning the house and always tending to her husband to make sure he's happy and healthy
But at times when she is relaxing, she is having a movie marathon with you in her room, and takes naps with you
Beware though she is possessive and strict with you... She'd always be holding hands and walking with you wherever you may go ensuring nobody takes her baby away from her
Sometimes be overprotective but that's because you are her world and life. She sworn to protect you no matter the cost
Has a strong and sensible taste in fashion that you would pick up after her, you two would often go clothes shopping picking out outfits when she was free
Privileges: Gifts you plushies, having a mentor in fashion, sneaks you gummy bears and milk tea, and maybe lets you oversleep if she is staying in bed with you
Lee Chaeyoung (Blood Sister)
Chaeyoung just like Seoyeon can be quite blunt but is more teasing and loves to have power over you
Your relationship dynamic between you and her is unique, Chaeyoung would be happy to teach you how to be a gentlemen and how you should properly treat a lady
As your mother and wife, it's also her duty to make sure that all adult topics are held off until you are of age so she has to be becareful on what she says and do though she likes to throw some hints there and then
Regardless, she absolutely adores you, she hardly ever leaves your side and always there to comfort and nurse you whenever you cry for her attention
But she also shares the duty of babysitting with Seoyeon and would switch shifts. But Chaeyoung can handle all of her sister's and her own children all on her own
She is not afraid to show any or shower you with her motherly affection towards you in public or in private as she is one poud momma
Loves to have your head on her chest and lap giving her the oppurtunity to stroke your hair and take sleepy pictures of you
But as you grow older, Chaeyoung's expectations get higher and would expect you to cater to her sexual desires and not be afraid to speak of your needs to her
Privliges: Being able to speak freely, would feed you delicious homemade food and snacks, give backhugs, lay on her nude chest, and would give you photos to keep on you so you can think about her when she's not around you
Lee Nagyung (Scout Vampire)
Nagyung can be seriously chaotic due to her hyper energy and even at times acts like a kid herself despite her old age
But Nagyung knows how to control that energy and is very aware how much damage she can do to you as you are a human and can easily be broken with a Vampire's brute super strength
You would often find yourself playing with Nagyung either in the park or in the playroom
Sometimes she may or may not forget to follow the naptime scheldules and would be scolded many times from Hayoung and Jiwon
Nagyung would love to cuddle and snuggle you and prefers you to be on top of her so she can hug you tightly
When you are at a legal age, Nagyung would barely wear any pants or shorts and would only wear her panties at home which you didn't mind
Not only it's more comfortable for Nagyung but it's a way for her to get your attention and she'd giggle and tease you whenever she catches you staring
Nagyung doesn't mind showing off a bit to you or her sisters but she had to be mindful that she cannot show in front of their husbands
Privileges: Again lots of cuddles, lots of playtime inside and outside, seeing her cute and energetic side, will do aegyo for you, and lets you watch her change
Baek Jiheon (Youngest Blood)
Although this sunshine Vampire is the youngest of her sisters, that doesn't make her any less mature and knows what's best for her husband
Absolutely smart, she graduated the top of her class in the academy and will help you any way if you get stuck on a question
It warms her sister's hearts seeing how well you two bond despite Jiheon adopting you at an early age as Vampires her age don't adopt their husband until they are around 250 years old and Jiheon is only 75 years old
Jiheon will be willing to do anything to help contribute to the clan along with her sisters and will often times juggle her responsibilities between being your wife/mother and her duties in the clan
At nights, Jiheon would be reading you bedtime stories and singing lullabies until you fall asleep in her arms
Movie nights are a must for her because that's a special tradition in your guy's relationship even if you are fully grown adult you've never grown tired of it and that makes Jiheon happy
But there are times when you may act up and boy, she would not tolerate bad behavior and I gurantee she will deliver a reasonable punishment
Jiheon would often be the one running her sister's errands being the youngest so she brings you along as an excuse to spend more time with you
Privileges: Seeing her adorable smile, lots of cuddles and snuggles, lets you choose the movies, let's you play outside, and having a tutor

There's something so selfless about the way in which Ji Hyuk is in love with Jiwon. It feels closer to devotion and worship than the usual romantic love. For me, its all in the eyes. The way he looks at her. My God. I am longing for you. I am yearning for you. I know you. I want to know you more. I am drawn to you. I cannot stop. I am so sorry I let you slip away the first time. Never again. Nothing matters more to me than you. My nightmares are made of being separated from you but your happiness matters more to me than my fear. But. If you say I am your happiness. Then I am yours. Let me save you. Oh? You want to save yourself? Then, at least, let me be the solid land you stand on. I love you so much I am content just looking at you. Even if my eyes give me away. I am content just being around you. Everything I do and everything I am, yours.
I think that is the purest, almost unattainable form of love. Maybe that is why it took two lifetimes to get it right. To want someone so much that you would do something so counterintuitive and difficult so as to hold yourself back. She is his whole world. And yet, he was willing to let her go.
I am in love with you. It goes on and on and on and it never goes away.

thank you yoo sangah for being the n1 girls girl because i know you’re the type of girl to help another girl out at the bar, also for sacrificing yourself for kim dokja’s mom, and for dealing with the stupid men at your work (also a respecter of decisions, seen in the epilogue, dokja gotta say thank you for not ratting him out)
thank you jung heewon for being one of kdj’s most dedicated members after hsy and yjh until the end because i know its def hard after dokja sacrifices himself every time but you still will do what he asks
thank you lee seolhwa for being the glorious healer that you are and keeping everyone alive, you deserved another regression version of you (yes i’m still on this)
thank you jang hayoung for being a dkos fanatic and my favorite second protagonist ily and i think it’d also be cool if we got another regression version of you or how yjh met you in other regressions
thank you lee jihye for being relatable, funny, and taking care of lee gilyoung and shin yoosung when kim dokja wasn’t there, also for being a good older sister to them
thank you uriel for being one of dokja’s biggest supporters, incarnating into the scenarios for him, going to the demon realm for him, and literally losing your internet privileges from metatron for him
thank you anna croft for being anna croft and for being one of kim dokja’s narrative victims. oh and thank you for being mischaracterized by the fandom and being misunderstood for your intentions but still continue to fight for what you thought was right
thank you biyoo for reincarnating into a dokkaebi, giving sub scenarios to kim dokja, and putting up with his bullshit, truly the most tired one of his shenanigans
thank you shin yoosung for saving kim dokja, being lee gilyoung’s friend, being underrated, for having to grow up faster to survive, and being willing to sacrifice yourself twice (once for feeling guilty and being willing to die for 41st sys, and the second being during the intersecting scene during the kaizenix arc where we see where lee gilyoung, lee jihye, and shin yoosung were teleported to)
thank you jophiel for sacrificing yourself to stay back in the 1863rd round, you were actually really cool with the few time you had
thank you gabriel for taking the blame for jophiel when you got back to eden and for taking care of uriel too
thank you lee sookyung for being kim dokja’s mother, for keeping a secret for your son, for allowing him to hate you despite knowing the truth, and having the best intentions for your son
thank you cho youngran for looking after lee sookyung and being dedicated to her
thank you persephone for being kim dokja’s other mom, for lending him aid whenever he asked for it (be thankful kdj), for showing actual care for him later on, for fighting for him during the ark
thank you selena kim for looking out for iris and being kind still after anna croft used you
thank you iris for surviving because even if you were one of kim dokja’s least favorite characters in twsa, you were still a child when the scenarios happened and you were betrayed by anna croft
thank you yoo mia for being silly, rude to kim dokja, and for offering to help secretive plotter
thank you min jiwon for being pretty and for being the king of beauty
thank you asuka ren for creating peace land, which lead to kyrgios existing, also for supporting kim dokja during the final scenario
thank you namgung minyoung, who is breaking the sky sword saint, for training punisher, jang hayoung, breaking the sky sword master, for helping kim dokja during the surya train, for being a half giant, and finally for being kyrgios’ ex girlfriend
thank you punisher for being punisher there’s nothing other than that, i love you queen
thank you tls123 for creating the star stream, killing billions, maybe even more than that, writing twsa for thirteen years straight, for doing it all to see kim dokja and to see him live again, for creating the altered 1863rd round (which is definitely a favorite for me)
and finally, thank you han sooyoung for everything because if i write down all the things i’m grateful that you did then it would take me ages, and thanks for being my favorite ever

ch. 32 ⤍ i'm yours
"hey, wanna be in my vlog?" you asked kazuha, grinning as you held up your camera.
she nodded quickly, and you couldn't help but smile at the way her face lit up, eyes sparkling with excitement.
"is this our official couple debut?" she teased, raising an eyebrow with a playful smile.
"not exactly," you chuckled. "this won't go up until after tomorrow, so technically no... but, yeah, this is our first couple vlog."
with the tripod steady in your hands, you set it up and settled onto kazuha's lap. she immediately wrapped her arms around your waist, holding you close as you looped an arm around her neck.
"alright," you began, focusing the camera on both of you. "we're currently getting ready for an event. unfortunately, i'll be with my team, and she'll be with hers, so we won't see each other much today, but—"
"i'll be cheering you on from afar," kazuha chimed in, squeezing you a little tighter with a soft smile.
you shifted a bit in her lap, bringing your face closer to hers, your voice dropping playfully. "can't wait to beat you, though."
kazuha laughed, raising a brow as she shot you a competitive look. "oh, really? you think you can beat us?"
"definitely," you grinned, leaning in just enough to make her blush, the camera capturing the teasing moment between you both.
she smiled, shaking her head in mock disbelief. "we'll see about that."
"well, that's enough distracting the enemy for now," you said, standing up from kazuha's lap.
kazuha pouted, watching you move away as she leaned back in her chair. "i'm sad that we're going to be in the same place all day, and i'll barely see you," she sighed, already missing the closeness.
you grinned, leaning down and whispering as if it were a secret, though the camera definitely picked it up. "i'll sneak over and come see you when i can."
kazuha's face brightened instantly, her pout replaced by a soft smile. she formed a heart with her hands, holding it up for you as you began to walk away. you chuckled, sending her a quick wink before making your way back to your team's booth.
as you returned, gaeul was quick to comment, grinning ear to ear. "oh, you're back; are you done macking it with the enemy now?"
"i had to say my goodbyes," you laughed, trying to downplay it.
liz leaned against the table, shaking her head in amusement. "as long as you try your hardest to beat her today everything is fine"
"oh, of course. they're going down." you laughed, settling into your seat.
"you better," leeseo teased.
as the event continued, your group had some downtime before it was your turn to participate in the next round of games. you spent most of that time either hanging out at your booth, taking photos, or wandering around the venue to check out the various pop-ups.
you and the rest of your team took turns posing for pictures with fans who passed by. but in between, you couldn't help but steal glances across the room at kazuha, who was busy with her own team. she caught your eye a few times and gave you a wink with a knowing smile that made your heart race just a little.
after a while, rei nudged you as you both browsed one of the pop-up stalls. "stop flirting with the enemy, we must stay focused," she teased.
you shrugged, trying to play it cool. "what? i can't help it."
rei laughed, shaking her head. "i get it. she's your weakness."
"true," you replied with a grin, picking up a cute keychain from one of the stalls. "but don't let her know that."
kazuha was fully glaring at the other people in the room. sure, you looked cute whenever you laughed at something somebody else said, but only she was allowed to think that. she crossed her arms, eyes narrowing as wonyoung came over to chat with you. she tried not to let it get to her, but when you motioned to her that you'd be leaving for a bit and she nodded, her mood soured again when she overheard a group calling you "cute" and making comments about your body.
she rolled her eyes, her annoyance slipping through her usual calm exterior, forgetting for a moment that she was live on stream. all she wanted to do was go off on them for checking you out, but she couldn't, not with the cameras on. plus, you didn't seem to notice, and they hadn't directly hit on you. yet.
chat, of course, noticed immediately.
user1 who made kazuha mad??? 😳 user2 she looks like she's about to throw hands lol
chaewon and yunjin tried to pull her attention back to the stream, but kazuha was too distracted, glaring at the group across the room.
when you finally returned with wonyoung, carrying snacks and drinks, kazuha visibly relaxed. having her eyes on you again made everything feel a bit better. you were, of course, oblivious to all of it, smiling and waving to her as you held up the snacks, excited to share them when the stream was over.
but as one of the guys who had been checking you out earlier whispered something to his friend and stood up, kazuha stiffened. when she saw him walking toward you, she started to stand, her protective instincts kicking in, but chaewon grabbed her arm, pulling her back down.
"i don't know who you're mad at, but worry about it later," chaewon warned quietly.
the chat blew up again, speculating, but you finally noticed what was happening through the comments. your eyes darted to kazuha, who looked like she was barely restraining herself. you grabbed one of the snacks meant for later and made a beeline for her, determined to defuse the situation.
but before you could get far, that same guy stepped in front of you, blocking your path. wonyoung gave you a questioning look, clearly confused as well.
"can i help you?" you asked, keeping your tone polite but firm.
he shrugged with a smirk. "just thought i could join you. looked like you could use some company."
you held up the snacks, smiling at him, but your words were direct. "not really. i was just bringing these to my girlfriend."
you brushed past him without giving him a second glance, making your way to kazuha. you could tell she was about to get up, her irritation still simmering, but before she could do anything, you swiftly sat on her lap, stopping her from making any rash moves. you knew she wouldn't risk you falling.
you smiled at her, wrapping your arms around her neck and getting comfortable in her lap. kazuha's tension melted away as she wrapped her arms around your waist, pulling you closer. without hesitating, she leaned in and kissed you, a quick but possessive gesture that left the chat in chaos.

though you both wanted to stay in the moment, you knew you were still on a live broadcast, so you pulled back, grinning at kazuha. the two of you shared the snacks, chatting and laughing as if nothing had happened, but kazuha's protective grip on you never really loosened.
when you felt she had calmed down enough, you finally tried to get up to return to your team, but kazuha tightened her hold on your waist, keeping you from moving.
"stay here," she pouted softly. "so people know we're together."
you blushed, glancing around at all the eyes still on you. "zuha, i'm pretty sure they know by now."
"just stay with me," she insisted, her grip firm but affectionate.
you almost gave in, tempted to stay in her arms for the rest of the stream, but you remembered why you were here. even though kazuha looked incredibly hot when she was being possessive, you had to stay focused on the responsibilities that you had to take care of.
"i have to go, babe," you said softly, giving her a quick peck on the lips. "but don't worry, i'm yours."
kazuha reluctantly let go, and you hopped off her lap, shooting her one last playful wink before running back to where your team was.
as soon as you arrived, rei raised an eyebrow, "are you finally done with the pda with kazuha?"
you shrugged nonchalantly. "i don't know. i might go back later."
yujin immediately noticed you and jumped in, grinning. "oh, look who's back! i thought you were joining le sserafim for a second."
you laughed, playing along. "maybe i should. they treat me better."
yujin smirked, leaning in as she mumbled, "i bet she does."
as you and your team headed backstage, the excitement in the air was palpable. both teams were about to face off in the next game, and the competitive tension was starting to build.
the lineups were set: you, yujin, gaeul, rei, and leeseo for ive, facing off against kazuha, sakura, chaewon, yunjin, and eunchae representing le sserafim.
as the teams took their places, yunjin grinned from across the room, her voice playful but confident. "hope you're ready to lose. we've been practicing, you know."
gaeul chuckled, folding her arms with a smirk. "practicing for what? losing? don't get too comfortable up there."
kazuha caught your eye, her voice softer but just as teasing. "don't expect me to go easy on you just because i like you so much."
you smirked, feeling a little more competitive after hearing that. "i wouldn't want it any other way, babe."
as the game started, the atmosphere became tense with both teams taking it seriously, but there was still an air of playful competitiveness. you found yourself locking in quickly, your hands flying across the keys as you communicate with your teammates. the first few rounds were close, with both teams trading wins back and forth.
yujin, as the team leader, was barking out strategies, while leeseo's sniper skills kept le sserafim on their toes. meanwhile, eunchae and sakura coordinated like pros, giving you a real challenge as their tanks barreled through your defenses.

"stay on point, stay on point!" yujin yelled, pulling everyone back together as the game approached the final round.
you all scrambled, working in perfect sync as you and rei held the frontline, while gaeul and leeseo provided solid backup. the final phase was fast-paced, with both teams neck and neck. kazuha's team was giving you a run for your money, but you were not about to go out like this.
user8 yujin best leader user9 rei's defense was actually so good
"okay, go all in now!" you shouted, executing a well-timed ult that wiped out most of le sserafim's team. your side exploded in cheers as the match ended in your victory.
"we won!" leeseo cheered, raising her arms in the air.
you let out a sigh of relief, pulling off your headset as your teammates celebrated. "we did it!"
on the other side, le sserafim groaned, yunjin dramatically threw her head back. "nooo, not like this!"
sakura just shook her head with a smile, while eunchae pouted. "we were so close!"
kazuha crossed her arms, looking disappointed but still smiling as she glanced over at you. "looks like i'll have to admit defeat."
you grinned, walking over to her side. "told you we'd win," you teased, offering her a hand to pull her up from her chair.
she took your hand, standing up with a playful roll of her eyes. "yeah, yeah. i'm not mad that i lost against you."
"oh, of course. you have to beat everyone else, just not our team," you said, pulling her closer for a quick hug before stepping back to join your team.
user1 IVE WIN LESSGOOO user2 GG user3 actually so close user4 the way kazuha's not even mad losing to yn 😭
the organizers came over to hand out the prize money, and some merch for the winning team, which you proudly held up for a quick team photo. after the picture, you brought everything back to your booth, leaving it with the managers before finally heading off to enjoy some much needed time with kazuha. you had been waiting all day for this moment.
"i'm so glad there wasn't an actual competition and that was the only game," you said as you walked next to kazuha.
kazuha chuckled, nudging you with her elbow. "tired from all that winning, huh?"
"something like that," you laughed, "but now i finally get to walk around with you."
kazuha smiled warmly, her eyes softening as she looked at you. "i've been waiting for that too."
as you strolled through the venue together, browsing the different stalls and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, kazuha suddenly glanced over at you with a playful gleam in her eye. "so, are we going for round two later?"
you shot her a knowing look, pretending to think it over. "if by round two, you mean a rematch, then sure. but if you mean something else..." you trailed off, stepping closer with a mischievous grin.
kazuha blushed, catching on quickly, though she tried to play it cool. "we'll see," she murmured, leaning in to give you a quick, soft peck on the cheek.
you smiled, your heart fluttering as you walked hand-in-hand through the venue. it felt like the day had finally slowed down enough for the two of you to enjoy each other's company.
"so," you began, glancing around at the booths, "what's the plan?"
kazuha tilted her head thoughtfully, her hand still intertwined with yours. "hmm... maybe some food? i've barely had time to eat today"
you grinned, squeezing her hand. "food it is, what kind of food are we feeling?" you asked, casting a glance around at the different food stalls lining the venue.
she paused for a moment, her eyes scanning the options before locking onto a stall. "what about that one?" she asked, pointing toward a food booth tucked in the corner. the sign read ssambap in bold letters, and the smell of sizzling meat immediately caught your attention.
"solid choice," you grinned, leading her toward the stall. "i'm starving too, so this is perfect."
the two of you got in line, and while waiting, kazuha rested her head lightly on your shoulder, a small smile playing on her lips. you felt warmth bloom in your chest, the casual intimacy between you two a stark contrast to the earlier adrenaline rush of the games.
"i didn't think i'd miss you this much today," kazuha murmured softly, her fingers gently playing with yours.
you chuckled, leaning your head against hers. "i know, right? it was weird being in the same room but barely being able to talk."
kazuha lifted her head slightly to look at you, her eyes softening. "and i may have gotten a little jealous when other people were talking to you," she admitted.
you couldn't help but laugh. "oh, i noticed. you were definitely giving them the death glare from across the room."
kazuha sighed, her cheeks tinting a light pink as she bit her lip. "what can i say? you're mine," she said softly, squeezing your hand a little tighter.
you smiled, leaning in to give her a quick kiss on the forehead. "well, i'm glad, because i'm yours too."
the line moved quickly, and soon enough, it was your turn to order. you both chose a mix of options, grilled beef wraps for kazuha and spicy pork for you, and a side of kimchi and rice cakes to share. as soon as your food was ready, you found a quiet spot off to the side where the two of you could sit and enjoy your meal in peace.
you sat across from each other at one of the small tables set up near the food stalls. kazuha handed you one of the wraps she'd prepared, her smile bright as she watched you take your first bite.
"this is so good," you mumbled through a mouthful of food, nodding approvingly.
she took a bite of her own wrap, nodding along with you. "we should do this more often. just walk around, try new things... and eat like there's no tomorrow."
you grinned at her enthusiasm, watching as she happily devoured another bite of her food. "i'm down for that. honestly, i'm just glad we finally have some time to ourselves. it's been such a busy day."
kazuha nodded in agreement, pausing to take a sip of her drink. "yeah, i've did so much today. it's nice to just... be with you."
her words were simple, but they hit you right in the heart. it didn't matter what you were doing; being with her always felt right.
the rest of the meal flew by with you two laughing and teasing each other between bites. it felt really nice to just chill, away from all the attention, and enjoy the moment. you could tell kazuha felt the same, she seemed relaxed and happy.
after finishing your meal, you both leaned back in your chairs, feeling full. "i think i'm in a food coma now," kazuha said, rubbing her stomach with a satisfied grin.
"same," you agreed, stretching your arms above your head. "but totally worth it."
kazuha smiled, reaching across the table to grab your hand again. "let's walk around a bit more, maybe grab some dessert? does ice cream sound good to you right now?"
you grinned, nodding eagerly. "it sounds perfect."
with that, you both stood up, hand in hand once again as you made your way through the venue.
as you walked, the colorful booths and pop-up stalls caught your attention. kazuha glanced around, her eyes lighting up at the various stands. "look at that!" she pointed excitedly toward a booth with a sign for custom bracelets. "we should get matching ones to remember today."
"good idea," you replied, squeezing her hand. "what kind of design do you want?"
"i'm thinking something simple but meaningful, like our initials," kazuha said, "maybe with a small heart or something cute."
"yeah that'll be cute," you agreed.
the two of you stopped at the booth, admiring the designs on display. the bracelets were made of delicate cords with various charms that could be personalized. after a moment of indecision, you both decided on a design with matching cords, each bracelet featuring a small heart charm and your initials engraved.
the booth owner promised to have them ready in a few minutes, so you both continued your stroll through the event while waiting.
you both stopped at a few more booths along the way and looking through accessories before finally picking up your matching bracelets. kazuha slid yours onto your wrist with a smile. "i love it."
"me too," you said, fastening kazuha's around her wrist.
eventually, you reached the ice cream stand. kazuha looked over the menu, her eyes scanning the options. "what are you getting?"
"hmm... i think i'll go for cookies and cream," you told her.
kazuha smiled, already sure of her choice. "i'll get the same"
the two of you placed your orders, and after a short wait, the ice cream was ready. you handed kazuha her cone and took your own, savoring the first bite.
"this is perfect," kazuha said, smiling as she took a bite of her ice cream.
"definitely," you agreed. "best decision ever."
the two of you wandered for a bit longer, chatting about everything and nothing. eventually, the ice cream cones were gone.
"well, what now?" you asked, glancing around.
kazuha shrugged playfully, her eyes scanning the area. "how about we just walk around for a bit? i don't think i'm ready for today to end yet."
"i was hoping you would say that," you said, squeezing her hand.
you both continued to wander through the venue, chatting about everything and nothing, exchanging stories about your day and things you hadn't yet talked about.
at one point, you passed a photo booth. you turned to kazuha with a grin. "wanna do it?"
without hesitation, she agreed, and you both squeezed into the booth together. the pictures were full of silly faces and kisses and when the strip printed out, you couldn't help but smile at how cute you both looked.
"this is definitely going above my desk," you said, grinning as you handed kazuha the other strip.
kazuha smiled, holding it up with a soft chuckle. "my new wallpaper."
you both made your way to a nearby bench, feeling your legs ache from all the walking and excitement of the day. once seated, you leaned back, letting the tiredness of the day hit you. kazuha rested her head on your shoulder, letting out a soft sigh.
you both sat there in comfortable silence, the soft lights around you making everything feel cozy. there were no crowds or distractions, just the two of you, relaxing together. you leaned your head against hers, enjoying the calmness of the moment.
eventually, it was time to head back. after a soft kiss on her cheek, you both stood up, hands finding each other as you walked back. the day was wrapping up, but there was no disappointment, you're just glad you were able to spend some of the time with kazuha.
you both made your way back toward the venue, fingers still interlaced, a quiet smile on both of your faces. as you walked, you exchanged a few soft words about the fun you had, already thinking about the next time you'd get to do something like this again. kazuha glanced at you, her eyes soft and warm, and you couldn't help but smile in return.
when you reached her team's booth, you gave her one last lingering kiss, soft and sweet, before pulling away. "see you soon?" you asked.
she nodded, her smile bright. "definitely."
with one last squeeze of your hand, you turned and headed back to your team, already looking forward to the next chapter of this relationship, and everything it would bring.
