Ruby’s Fun-Filled Day on Knowing Bros

Ruby, the rising K-pop star and SM Entertainment's latest solo sensation stepped into the iconic classroom of Knowing Bros. Dressed in a stylish black-and-red plaid blazer, a cropped white shirt, and a matching pleated skirt, she radiated confidence. Her long black hair cascaded over her shoulders as she greeted the cast with her signature warm smile.

The cast, as always, was quick to tease.

“Ruby-ya, is it true you’re SM’s princess now?” Lee Soo-geun joked, earning laughter from everyone.

Kang Ho-dong chimed in, “Not just SM’s princess, she’s SM’s secret weapon! You’ve been hanging out with Taemin, right? Did he teach you how to be this cool?”

At the mention of Taemin, Ruby’s cheeks flushed slightly, which didn’t escape the sharp-eyed cast.

Seo Jang-hoon leaned forward, grinning mischievously. “Ohhh, Taemin, huh? Is there something we should know?”

Ruby quickly waved her hands, laughing nervously. “Aniyo! We’re just friends. Taemin-sunbaenim is like a mentor to me!”

The cast erupted into mock disbelief.

“‘Sunbaenim’? That’s not what we saw on Running Man!” Heechul teased, referencing her viral moment with Taemin where she shyly called him “Oppa.”

Ruby covered her face in embarrassment, laughing. “Why does everyone keep bringing that up?”

Once the teasing subsided, the episode kicked off with Ruby’s introduction. She shared her journey from a shy trainee at YG Entertainment to her debut under SM Entertainment. She spoke about her band, her family, and how she grew close to all of SM artists.

The classroom of Knowing Bros was already in high spirits with Ruby as the guest. Just when the cast thought the episode couldn’t get any more exciting, the door opened, and in walked NCT’s Taeyong. The leader of NCT looked effortlessly stylish in a sleek leather jacket, ripped jeans, and his signature silver hair.

“Ohhhhh, Taeyong!” the cast erupted, clapping and cheering.

Taeyong bowed politely, flashing his shy but charismatic smile. “Annyeonghaseyo! I’m Taeyong from NCT. Ruby asked me to join her today, so here I am!”

“Ruby brought backup!” Kang Ho-dong joked, motioning toward Taeyong. “What’s this? Are you her bodyguard?”

Ruby laughed. “No, he’s here because he’s my best friend, and I thought it’d be fun if we came together!”

“Best friend?” Seo Jang-hoon raised an eyebrow, smirking. “So, Ruby, if he’s your best friend, does that mean he knows all your secrets?”

Ruby nodded confidently. “Absolutely. Taeyong knows everything about me.”

The whole cast of Knowing Bros nodded their heads understanding and then classroom fun continued, playing everyone's favorite game called “Guess About Me.”

“The game is simple,” Ruby explained, holding up a small whiteboard. “I’ll give you a hint about something, and you have to guess the answer. Ready?”

The cast nodded enthusiastically, ready for the challenge.

“Okay,” Ruby began, grinning mischievously. “There’s someone in this room, and every time they see me, they always ask me for something. What is it, and who is it?”

The cast exchanged confused looks before Kang Ho-dong confidently spoke up.

“Food! It’s Kim Young-chul, right? He probably asks you to bring him snacks!”

Ruby shook her head, giggling. “Nope, that’s not it!”

Seo Jang-hoon jumped in. “It has to be Min Kyung-hoon. He probably asks for singing tips because he’s jealous of your voice!”

“Wrong again!” Ruby laughed.

Kim Young-chul tried his luck. “It’s obviously Ho-dong! He probably asks you to teach him some choreography so he can show off on TV!”

Ruby playfully rolled her eyes. “No, that’s not it either! But nice try.”

The cast members scratched their heads, visibly stumped. Finally, Seo Jang-hoon, looking skeptical, raised his hand.

“Wait… is it Heechul? And he ask you for dating advice?"

"You are 50% correct. It is Heechul-hyung, but he asks me something else..." says Ruby.

"I do?" says Heechul and then smiles, "Oh, I think I know what it is, now."

"Hyung, don't say anything. Let them guess!" says Ruby. "Let me give you a hint it has to do with something with being in a relationship."

Kim Young-Chul raises his hand, "He asks you to be his girlfriend?"

Ruby picks up the rubber hammer taps on the table and says "Aniyo, but you're on the right path."

Lee Soo-geun then stands up from his chair and raises his hand, "He... asks you to marry him?"

The room fell silent for a moment as Ruby burst out laughing and clapped her hands. “YES! You got it right!”

The cast erupted in disbelief, howling with laughter. Heechul immediately threw his hands in the air in mock protest. “Ya! Why are you exposing me like this, Ruby?!”

Ruby could hardly contain her laughter as she explained. “Seriously, every single time I meet Heechul-hyung, he tells me, ‘Ruby, we’re going to end up getting married. We’re perfect for each other!’”

The cast members doubled over in laughter, pounding the desks.

Ho-dong was laughing so hard he had tears in his eyes. “Are you serious?! He says that every time?!”

“Yes!” Ruby nodded, grinning. “It’s like his opening line whenever we see each other.”

Heechul, blushing but trying to defend himself, stood up. “Hold on! You’re making it sound weird. I don’t mean now! I mean, like… When I’m 70 and she’s 52, and we’re both still single, it’s a backup plan! That’s all!”

The room erupted again, with Seo Jang-hoon teasing, “You’re already planning your retirement romance? Heechul, you’re unbelievable!”

Ruby laughed, covering her face. “He’s so persistent about it too! He always says, ‘Ruby, you’ll see. We’re perfect together.’”

Kim Young-Chul dramatically stood up, pretending to wipe away a tear. “Ah, a love story for the ages! Heechul and Ruby, destined to be together in their golden years.”

Before the laughter could settle, Kang Ho-dong leaned forward with a mischievous grin. “But Ruby, what about Taemin? Wouldn’t you prefer to marry him?”

The moment Taemin’s name was mentioned, the entire room froze for a second before erupting into chaos. Heechul immediately stood up, marched over to Ruby, and placed his hands firmly over her ears. “Nope! We’re not going there! She can’t hear that question!”

Ruby, now giggling uncontrollably under Heechul’s protective stance, tried to speak but could barely get a word out. The other cast members were in hysterics. Kang Ho-dong was rolling on the floor, Seo Jang-hoon was leaning back in his chair laughing, and even the staff behind the cameras couldn’t contain themselves.

“Look at Heechul! He’s acting like a jealous boyfriend already!” Seo Jang-hoon managed to say through his laughter.

Heechul, still covering Ruby’s ears, dramatically turned to the cast. “I’m just protecting her from bad influences, okay? Taemin doesn’t need to be brought into this conversation!”

Ruby, finally pulling Heechul’s hands away, playfully pushed him. “Hyung, you’re so dramatic! It’s just a question!”

“Exactly!” Heechul said, pretending to pout. “I’m just looking out for our future, Ruby-yah.”

This only made everyone laugh harder, with Kim Young-chul joking, “This is better than any drama! Ruby and Heechul: The Eternal Love Story.”

This makes everyone in the room laugh and then Ruby thanks everyone and goes to sit down next to Lee Soo-geun since he got her question correct.

When it finally came to Taeyong's turn, he asked his question and the member guessed it correctly and was about to go sit down next to Seo Jang-hoon. Heechul, who had been quietly sitting back, suddenly leaned forward, his mischievous grin appearing. “Before you go sit down, I have a question for Taeyong! As Ruby’s best friend, who do you think she should marry—me or Taemin?”

The room went wild with laughter, the cast members hitting the desks and hollering. Ruby covered her face, groaning. “Hyung! Why are you like this?!”

Taeyong blinked in shock at the sudden question, his mouth hanging open. “Wait… what?!”

“You heard me!” Heechul said, standing up and striking a confident pose. “If Ruby had to choose between me and Taemin, who do you think she should marry?”

The cast members were already laughing uncontrollably, but Kang Ho-dong added fuel to the fire. “Taeyong, you’re her best friend! Be honest! Who’s the better choice?”

Taeyong scratched the back of his neck, clearly uncomfortable but also finding the situation hilarious. “Ahh, this is so awkward… Why do I have to answer this?!”

“Because you know her best!” Seo Jang-hoon insisted, grinning. “Think of it as being a good wingman. Help your best friend out!”

Ruby waved her hands frantically. “No! Don’t answer that! This is so embarrassing!”

But the cast wouldn’t let it go. “Taeyong, Taeyong, Taeyong!” they chanted, urging him to respond.

Finally, Taeyong sighed, looking between Heechul and Ruby. “Okay, okay, fine. If I have to choose…” He paused dramatically, letting the tension build.

“Heechul-hyung,” he began, smirking slightly, “I think you’re great. But Ruby… marrying you? I don’t see it happening.”

The room erupted into chaos, with everyone howling in laughter. Ruby clapped her hands, practically crying from laughing so hard.

“Yah! What’s wrong with me?!” Heechul protested, pretending to be offended.

Taeyong grinned mischievously. “I just think you’d annoy her too much. Ruby likes peace and quiet, and you’re… well… not quiet.”

Kang Ho-dong doubled over, slapping the desk. “Taeyong’s savage! I love it!”

“Then who should she marry, huh?” Heechul challenged, crossing his arms.

Taeyong hesitated, then leaned forward, his expression serious. “If I had to pick… I’d say Taemin-sunbaenim.”

The room exploded once again, with Ruby shouting, “Taeyong!” in mock outrage while Heechul dramatically collapsed onto the floor.

“Why Taemin?!” Heechul demanded, getting up and pointing accusingly at Taeyong.

“Because,” Taeyong said, laughing, “He’s calm, cool, and collected. Ruby and Taemin-sunbaenim are both hardworking and talented. They’d balance each other out.”

Ruby shook her head, her face bright red. “Taeyong, you’re the worst! I’m never bringing you to a show again!”

Kang Ho-dong wiped tears from his eyes. “Taeyong, you’re a good best friend. You gave the honest answer!”

Heechul, clearly not giving up, stood and walked over to Ruby. “Ruby-yah, listen to me. You don’t need Taemin. You need someone who can make you laugh, someone who’ll never let you be bored!”

Ruby raised an eyebrow, trying not to laugh. “You mean… Someone like you?”

“Exactly!” Heechul declared confidently.

But before she could respond, Kang Ho-dong chimed in again, grinning. “Ruby, if Taemin asked you to marry him, what would you say?”

The entire room went silent as everyone leaned in, waiting for Ruby’s answer.

Ruby opened her mouth to respond, but before she could say a word, Heechul jumped up and ran behind her, covering her mouth with his hand. “Nope! She’s not answering that! This question is banned!”

The cast and staff burst into uncontrollable laughter, with Seo Jang-hoon falling out of his chair and even the cameramen laughing audibly in the background.

“Heechul’s so jealous, it’s like we’re in a K-drama!” Kim Young-Chul joked, pretending to narrate dramatically. “The best friend, the cool senior, and the comedic rival—who will Ruby choose?!”

Ruby pulled Heechul’s hands away from her mouth and laughed so hard she could barely breathe. “Hyung, you’re so ridiculous! This is why no one takes you seriously!”

“And yet,” Heechul said, smirking, “You’ll still marry me when I’m 70!”

Taeyong rolled his eyes playfully. “If she’s not too busy touring the world with Taemin, that is.”

The room dissolved into chaos once more, with Ruby pretending to walk off set while Heechul chased after her, dramatically pleading his case. It was an unforgettable segment that left everyone—cast, crew, and fans alike—in stitches.

As the episode wrapped up, Ruby and Taeyong shared heartfelt thanks. “We had so much fun today. You all made us feel so welcome, and we hope we can come back again soon!”

“Come back anytime,” Ho-dong said. “But next time, bring Taemin!”

Ruby groaned playfully, “You’re never going to let me live that down, are you?”

The cast laughed as they bid her goodbye, and Ruby and Taeyong left the classroom, leaving behind an episode that fans would talk about for weeks.
