Jirou rare pair headcanon post: Jiroutooru

Tooru shows up regularly for music lessons. At first because they are fun and she loves spending time with her friend. Over time though, she starts realizing feelings she didn't know she had, so she starts going more.

Gets caught sneaking into Jirou's room naked to leave a note. Both end up really flustered and embarrassed and several things get knocked over.

Tooru apologizes and chips in over time to replace what she broke.

She finally asks Jirou out on a date to do something fun, like Karaoke or something.

Jirou blushes but agrees.

They play air hockey, pool, and Darts at this place Jirou knows through her parents. They have some damn fine rice dishes and noodle bowls.

Jirou offers Tooru her coat when it gets chilly.

Everyone is surprised when the two reveal they are dating.

Jirou likes listening to Tooru's heart, since she can't see the girl

"You're really sweet, you know that?"

"Thanks. I have street cred, you know. So keep that between us, ok?" jirou blushes and fidgets with her jacks. Tooru just giggles and kisses her girlfriend on the cheek.

Jirou spends a lot of time at the support studio for a while, which makes Tooru curious, and somewhat jealous, until she realizes Jirou was trying to get a costume upgrade for Tooru so she wouldn't catch cold in winter.

"I'm sorry for going behind your back. Stealth is your thing more than mine, but, uh...happy birthday, T."

Tooru cries and hugs her girlfriend, so touched by her concern, though next time she wants to make costume choices herself.

"Yeah. Deal. Sorry. Anyway, want more lessons? Thought I would take you to that Karaoke place you keep talking an-"

Jirou is interrupted by a series of kisses.

"Stop being so amazing! Actually, please don't! You rock, Kyouka! Hehe. Rock."

Tooru could never stick to one appearance. It often left her unrecognizable, with her hair, makeup, and clothing style constantly changing. Nothing ever seemed right. Nothing felt like her. Of course dying her hair so often left it rather fragile and damaged, but it never stopped her from changing her hair color as often as possible. In a way, her unpredictability was her style. It often left her hard to recognize, with people assuming she was a new person rather than someone they had previously met. That was fine, though. With multi-colored hair constantly changing, it was only a matter of time before she found her soulmate. Her soulmate’s eye color would change to reflect her hair, despite the fact that her own eye color never varied from a dark cobalt blue.

i’m still not really sure here for whatever reason? it’s a nice ship, it’s surprising and cute and they have nice interactions in canon. so by all accounts i should totally like it, but for some reason i just don’t really feel it the way i normally would. rip
