What's ikuto's opinions on his crewmates?
he loves his crewmates & sees them as close friends, almost like a family away from home, especially since he spends so much time with them
haru is a very competent captain, and surprisingly kind despite his often cold expression, after his initial intimidation he quickly warmed up to the man, he obviously cares very much for his crew & ikuto trusts him to make the right decisions & feels confident following him as a leader
jimin was the first person on the crew that he met & was the person that recruited him, they get along well & although jimin likes messing with him a fair bit he enjoys their lighthearted & playful spirit, as well as their drive & skill as a crew member (he's probably their go-to person for tae babysitting due to his experience with troublesome half-mer children, which he doesn't mind at all)
jiro seems to be the youngest crew member, & although ikuto still can't really tell why exactly this kid has such sticky fingers he can tell that he doesn't steal out of malice, & doesn't mind having to go find him every so often when something goes missing, after all it is a good skill to have, & he's otherwise a kind & helpful crewmate
aito, who may not technically be a crew member but is stuck with them none the less, is probably who he ends up closest with due to her being somewhat tied to the necklace in his possession, he's certainly a handful & causes a fair share of trouble, not a very helpful crewmate for sure, but he still enjoys her company, & for some reason despite all their differences they just clicked

Funnily enough, I think Jiro would also be Sloth, but he'll be like, a crossroads demon or smth. Dumb thing is, he'll only just be doing the bare minimum of getting his dues. So people are probably lucky if they actually get to make a deal with him cuz he's too lazy to think of anything worst to take from them.
I...did not mean to start a Tarot trend like that.
But now that I have, may I suggest another:
If your oc was a demon, what mortal sin would they reflect, and what role would they serve as a demon, if any?
Rin is of course Sloth, and is probably just a common demon 💕 or a knight of some kind, that'd be neat :0

Actor AU Jiro probably just holds a Bubblegum prop in his mouth all the time. He's already pretty practiced with talking around it. Also his character's pretty straight faced most of the time but he's actually super giggly. His scenes always gets cut short cuz he laughs so much. The Bubblegum prop actually helps to cover some of his smiling up but that don't stop people from trying to get him to laugh either. His slime is sometimes colored syrup but most of the time it's just tasteless. 8'D

how diligently do jiro & jaye do their schoolwork? can they focus easily?
Believe it or not, Jiro actually gets most of his homework done on time. He tries to finish them in class before going home or even going back to his dorm room, if he can help it.
Jaye is, uh, not as good at focusing. Doesn't help when you can literally scatter yourselves to do multiple things at once. He's going to procrastinate x 5 while not getting any actual work done. 8'D

Is jiro and jaye’s hair colour a result of their quirks or is it a genetics thing?
Jiro can't be sure if it's a genetics thing since he has very little to no memories of his biological parents. He'd like to say that it's due to the whole acid thing that comes with his slime though. But otherwise, as far as he knows, he's just born with green hair.
Jaye on the other hand, is purely genetics. He's half Irish on his mother's side who also has red hair, though a little bit more faded than his own.

ahh so more people responded than I thought would & I'm really happy to write out each one but it got kind of long so I'll put it under a cut
okay so here are his thoughts on a few of his classmates (can I say classmates for the other class too? whatever, you know)
Sumiye Gemu: he sees how outgoing & friendly she is & although he doesn't know her well he enjoys the energy she radiates whenever she's around, she gives off the caring & responsible but still playful older sibling vibe that he hasn't had before in his life (being an older sibling himself) he also really wants to talk to her about video games but is too nervous to approach her on his own
Jetsam Kisa: he noticed how shy & reserved he was as soon as they met & it made him feel a little less awkward about his own shyness, although he was still too anxious to really say hi for a while, he was surprised when they eventually ended up talking & really enjoyed interacting with someone who matched his energy, & thinks he's really sweet, he also really likes seeing all the cute stuff jetsam has (that he brings to class/in his dorm/etc)
Mitsumi Togan: he honestly finds her a bit intimidating, with how cheery & popular she seems, that on top of the fact he can't really read her, he's nervous to be sitting next to her & worries about annoying her during class, but generally he thinks she's nice
Michiko Watanabe: he's jealous of how she's able to go out & make friends with so many of her classmates so easily, he can see that she has her own insecurities but is still able to put herself out there, he admires her for this & would really like to be her friend & get advice about how to make more friends & get people to like him
Kabane Higanbana: something about him makes it easy to not worry too much about saying something wrong, even though they haven't talked much, he just doesn't seem like a judgemental person, maybe that's partially because he's obviously had to deal with a fair amount of judgement in his life due to his quirk, but he seems like someone who's just easy to be around
Moa Fuwa: although her popularity & occassional angry outbursts make him very nervous around her she still seems nice & like she cares very much about the people around her, he admires her drive & enthusiasm during training & although they have very different personalities he thinks they could still get alone decently
Konekomaru Yoshino: he seems very chill & friendly, & generally is someone he isn't particularly scared of but still too nervous to talk to, he notices sometimes out of the corner of his eye during class that his ear will twitch & he feels guilty for finding it kind of cute & funny, he was a bit worried when he realized his dorm was right under his that he would hear him running around during the middle of the night doing... yknow, cat things (does he?)
Burai Banzai: as the other class's vice president he sees him a lot during events & he seems like a very friendly, outgoing person, he appreciates that he tried to teach Tano what memes were but didn't like having to explain what 'netflix & chill' was after the fact, he seems like someone who would be easy to talk to if they ever got around to hanging out
Rin Tsukikage: she seems painfully sweet, & he actually really wants to reach out to her because he can see her shyness even surpasses his own, he notices how worried she is when talking to people & understands how that feels, he really wishes he could help ease her mind a bit but that's something only a friend can do & they don't really know each other yet
Kiyoko Hagane: he admires her a lot because she seems so put together & cares so much about her classmates, he definately looks to her for guidance, even if he doesn't realize, partially as the class president & partially just as the only student in his class who seems to know what they're doing
Jaye Rokuto: although he seemed very well mannered & behaved at first, having him sit close behind him he soon realized how boisterous & playful he really was, sometimes making comments that throw him off to overhear during class, he definately makes it a bit harder to focus during lectures, but not in a bad way
Jiro Yukimura: he's one of the "cool kids" in his mind, mostly because of his nonchalant attitude, & the fact that he doesn't know much about him, he's also always a little worried he's going to get pranked when he's nearby before or after school, because he's seen him prank a few other students, but wouldn't be particularly upset about it if he was
Amorette Calhoun: he likes her vibe but is also really intimidated by it, he kind of feels a bit of solidarity with them both having weird heart-related quirks that are activated by touch, he understands the inconvencience of it (although he at least can activate his & doesn't have to wear gloves) & kind of wonders if she has any of the same issues he does with being physically close with people but wouldn't ask that as it is a personal question
Yori Hayashi: he looks up to her as someone that he wants to be like, she's always pushing herself to be better & seems very selfless in her acts to help others, the conversation she had with him about taking care of yourself really resonated & meant even more coming from her (although she is a bit of a hypocrite, a LOT of a hypocrite) & that was a small turning point for him learning to care for himself the way he does others
Tokiya Iori: his first impression was that he kind of kept to himself because he wasn't that outgoing, but after sitting next to him for a while he realized he just doesn't initiate conversation much with anyone other than the people he knows & is actually quite friendly, he is now someone Ikuto can casually ask for a pencil if he ever loses his without feeling awkward, he is also the second of his friends to jump off of their balcony in front of him (he did not like that)
@smol-hibiscus @jetsam-kisa @shinindiamond @residentquirksupport @imminent-soup @you-may-call-me-meme @buraibanzai @kamiart @cosmic-goof @zer0-10 @napstennoji @beetroot-bot @skiduffle
hey umm respond to this post & I'll say how ikuto feels about your OC :)

This. Was. Horrible.
The amount of people watching was monsterous, one small mistake & everyone would see. It reminded him somewhat of his 8th grade judo tournament, but that paled in comparison to this. He had never fought someone using quirks until UA, & he had barely been able to grasp just how out of his element he was before the sports festival was announced. He felt like he had just gotten done with the practical exam, which he did terribly on, & now this.
Ikuto's heart was racing & his breathing was choppy. He stepped out onto the arena, his arms crossed across his chest to keep them from shaking. If it weren't for the fact that his face was probably quite red he might be able to pass for composed, but goodness did he certainly not feel it.
He looked up at his opponent, Jiro Yukimura, & they made eye contact. Jiro waved at him & Ikuto gave a shakey wave back. He was somewhat familiar with his quirk, he had seen him training & it was obvious his mouth produced some kind of substance that he can then throw at opponents.
'Great,' he thought to himself. 'A ranged quirk. Gosh, why did I have to get paired up with him first?'
He had been up thinking last night, & really his only chance was to get up close and grab him by the wrist or neck, anywhere else & it would probably take too long to slow his heartrate, giving him enough time to break free, but that required getting within arms length of him, & with his fighting style he'd probably be trying to maintain the distance, even if he didn't know the nature of Ikuto's quirk. This was going to be difficult.
As the match was about to start, the sound of the people around him drowned out. All of his focus was on Jiro & remaining in the ring. His position shifted from closed off to a fighting stance, feet spread apart & hands at his side, still shaking slightly, & he hoped nobody would notice.
Dispite his fear, his mind was focused. Before a fight was one of the only times he could clear his head, because he had to focus on his body & his opponent. His breathing steadied, & he looked up at Jiro with a look of understanding. One of them was going to lose, & although he was afraid, being a hero means conquering that fear, & he was going to give it his all.
Adrenaline shot through his body as the anouncer shouted, "START."
Jiro felt like he’s going to puke. This was exactly like the practical exams, but worse. This time everyone’s gonna be looking at you. Waiting in the sidelines has never been more nerve wracking.
The night before the tournament saw Jiro cramming as much chem formulas into his head as possible. He’s been told that he wasn’t allowed to bring any pre-bottled slime along with him either. So it really was down to him keeping up a constant flow right from the source itself (aka his mouth).
Alright, breath, Jiro. Through your nose, since your mouth is occupied right now.

As soon as the match started Ikuto stepped forward as Jiro stepped back. They circled each other slightly for a moment as Jiro let the slime fall out of his mouth into his palm. He felt bad about the crowd's reaction but it didn't seem to faze Jiro. When he began to lower his hand Ikuto stopped & prepared to pivot, dodging as he threw a wod of slime in his direction, & then another, & another.
This continued for a bit, Ikuto trying to get closer while not getting hit by any of the slime & Jiro trying to maintain the distance. Eventually Ikuto realized Jiro was throwing slime quite unsparingly & not trying particularly hard to hit him. He turned his gaze to the floor for a brief moment, not allowing his eyes to be off Jiro for too long, & noticed the amount of slime accumulating on the ground that he would have to avoid as well. He didn't know just how sticky or possibly dangerous it was & he didn't want to find out. He was cautious of each step he took, carefully keeping watch of Jiro's movements while making sure not to make a wrong move & end up with his shoe stuck go the floor.
At this point he was getting tired of the footwork. He waited until Jiro threw another handful of slime at him & ducked down, quickly rushing forward in one swift motion, his hand reaching up for Jiro's wrist, which was extended for a very brief moment after throwing.
Jiro felt like he’s going to puke. This was exactly like the practical exams, but worse. This time everyone’s gonna be looking at you. Waiting in the sidelines has never been more nerve wracking.

Alright, breath, Jiro. Through your nose, since your mouth is occupied right now.

As Ikuto reached up for the boy's wrist both their bodies shifted in the same direction, Ikuto moving forward & Jiro stepping back, & as he pulled his hand up towards his face Ikuto assumed he was going for another wod of slime in his palm, but to his surprise the slime dripped over his arm just before Ikuto's hand made contact.
The substance was thick & acted as a barrier between his hand & Jiro's skin, preventing him from using his quirk on him, but he still had a hold on his opponent & he wasn't about to let go. He quickly shifted his position, spreading out his weight & balancing himself in order to keep Jiro from knocking him down. His free hand shot up to his opponent's throat, thumb pressed against his vein as if checking for a pulse, & Jiro's hand quickly shot up as well, grabbing his arm. In this moment Jiro made an important realization about the nature of Ikuto's quirk, & as he felt his heartrate lower & his body begin to tire, he kneed him in the stomach.
Ikuto buckled at the sudden force, pulling his hand down from Jiro's neck but keeping a firm grip on his arm, as Jiro still had a hold on his. In the moment that he staggered he stepped in a small amount of slime. It was just a tiny bit on the corner of his shoe, & the rubber on the base of the sneakers didn't have much for the slime to stick to, but it still took a significant amount of force to pull his foot from the floor. In the moment that his balance was thrown off from having to rip his shoe out of the slime Jiro pushed forward, causing Ikuto to stumble backwards. He swiped his leg under the boy's feet, letting go of his wrist & sending him tumbling down. Ikuto's grip on Jiro's arm loosened as he felt his weight shift & turned to brace himself for impact with the floor, his entire forearm landing in a puddle of slime.
He quickly shot upright, trying desperately to rip his arm out of the sticky substance to no avail. His skin burned at the tension as he placed his knee on the ground for leverage & pulled even harder.
"Stop, you'll only hurt yourself." Jiro finally spoke, the constant stream of slime from his mouth coming to a stop. He didn't want to sound arrogant, but he knew how strong his slime was, & Ikuto wasn't going to be able to get out of it on his own.
Ikuto whipped his head around to look up at Jiro, his words, meant to show concern over his wellbeing, were recieved as condescending. Of course he must pity him, how pathetic. He looked back down at his arm, which was obviously not getting out of that slime, & hung his head in defeat. It was over, he was stuck.
Ikuto was declared unable to continue fighting, & Jiro was announced as the winner, moving on the round two. They had to bring out heavy duty soap to get Ikuto's arm unstuck from the floor, which only added to the humiliation of losing.
Jiro stood nearby as they helped unstick his arm, & when Ikuto was finally able to pull his now quite red & irritated arm out of the goop, Jiro extended a hand to help him up.
Ikuto looked up at him for a brief moment, unsure how to interpret the gesture, before taking his hand & allowing him to help him up.
"You fought well. Sorry I couldn't talk the whole time, my mouth was... kind of occupied." Jiro said after helping Ikuto onto his feet. "I really wasn't sure what you were gonna do, I think I won mostly from luck, honestly."
Ikuto was completely taken back by both his calm demeanor & his modesty. "I- Thank you, but... It wasn't luck." he said, giving an awkward chuckle. "You're a good fighter, and you beat me because you were better." He extended his hand for a friendly handshake. "I hope to catch up with you though." He meant that, although he was upset with himself for losing, it was an opportunity to see his weaknesses & use them as motivation to push himself harder.
Jiro accepted the handshake, a small smile on his face. "I'll look forward to seeing that."
As the two of them walked away from the arena, Ikuto picking at the slime still stuck to his arm, Jiro turned to speak to him. "I feel kind of bad honestly. You wanna go get lunch sometime? It'll be on me."
Ikuto was very surprised by the offer but happy to accept. "Uh, y-yeah, sure. What place did you have in mind?"
Jiro felt like he’s going to puke. This was exactly like the practical exams, but worse. This time everyone’s gonna be looking at you. Waiting in the sidelines has never been more nerve wracking.
